This CVS pharmacy lacks serious communication. Not sure if overworked, understaffed, or just negligent?! We have been purchasing human grade medications for our dog from them for a while. Somehow, my dog's medication was switched to another manufacturer and sadly after the first pill I administered to him he ended up having a seizure!!!!! He survived! However, realizing there must be a reaction we demanded to switch back to the previous manufacturer to avoid further seizures. It was a nightmare to do that even with prescriptions and support from my dog's vet! We demanded for the pharmacists and techs to write a note on his record to please avoid this manufacturer's medication. We get auto refills, they call us when his medication is ready and we keep getting the wrong one every time!!!!! Thank goodness my husband and I have worked in the medical field to know what is going on! Even then, and with talking to them multiple times, begging them to add this information to the record, they still can't get it right?! I wonder what they do to the average person who is not aware of what medication they should really be getting?! Or who have allergies?! Apparently, they have proven they can't be cautious enough to pay attention to detail! This location seems to have a better selection than the other CVS on Haven and Foothill and it is much bigger. This is the only reason why I choose to come here sometimes. However, when we went today I had to use the restroom and noticed that there wasn't any toilet paper in either stall, pieces of wet toilet paper was on the floor and on the seats, the toilets weren't flushed, and there was pee splattered all over the seats in both stalls. When we told the lady at check out she seemed very annoyed while telling us that she would get someone to clean it. And even though there was a female employee walking back and forth sipping her drink (I think she just came back from break) and a male employee just walking around she never mentioned it to them or called anyone else the entire time we were there. I've been waiting here for 45 minutes for my prescription just to be told they don't have any left!!!! Complete bullshit. And the attitude on these young girls is ridiculous. I am sick. This is a 24 hour pharmacy and there are only 2 pharmacists working ! They are moving as fast as they possibly can trying to help all of the people coming from the local urgent cares but can't keep up ! CVS should know that this is the only 24 hour around they should be better staffed especially around flu season ! read more

This CVS is awful. The manager, Jeff, doesn't seem to know his store very well. He's rude too. There's a lotto machine that ran out of paper so wasn't able to get back my $15 that was still left in there. Jeff comes and says," I'll take your name and number and when the 'lotto people'come by I'll have them reimburse you." What?! So I have to wait 2-3 days and drive back here just to get my $15 dollars back? It's ridiculous. It's more likely that I will forget to come back and lose my $15. He wouldn't even call the "lotto people" that can give me information as to what to expect. So when I insisted he just produced $15 that he said he can't provide b/c it'll leave the register short just to get rid of me. Called to see if they had my son's medication in stock because as at the one in chino, and they didn't have it. Katrina "checked" and told me they did. I drove all the way from when I get there Katrina tells me they do not have it in stock. I told her I just called before I drove all Chino and she said they never received that call. Then I ask her to call the one in upland so I don't have I drive all the way over there too and she told me they are not allowed to do that over the phone. Jackie, the pharmacy tech, is extremely rude, unprofessional, and incapable of handling a simple question. My doctor at urgent care failed to prescribe me something for a side effect I was having from my strong medication. I called, waited on hold, to ask Jackie if she knew of any effective OTC treatments. She cut me off and with a teenager's attitude said, "you need to go back to your doctor nothing here is going to help you." Taken aback, I kind of laughed and said, there's no options? Knowing full well there's an overwhelming amount, which is why I was calling bc I had no idea which to choose. She again just said no there is nothing here that can help you. I should have asked for her manager to say how shockingly insulting and rude she was. Don't work in a customer facing role if you're incapable of handling it. This particular CVS's employees move at a glacial pace. You will be in line for 15 minutes minimum every time. read more

Worst Pharmacy ever! I called around to different pharmacy's to find out if a certain Medicine is available. I called 4 other pharmacy's , Walgreens, Costco, etc. then I called this CVS. They would not tell me over the phone if they had it. The rude pharmacist told me I need to come into the store with my prescription and they will tell me. So, even though I have a bad knee and can't drive, my friend drove me to this CVS. Guess what? they didn't have it in!! I told her why couldn't she tell me over the phone? She said it's against policy. NEVER again will I have my prescriptions filled at CVS. Not only rude customer service, but there medicine was almost $80 more than Costco!! read more

I spent 25 fricking dollars on Robux for my son for an Easter present, (which is the in game currency in ROBLOX), and the code got scratched off so much that you couldn't see the code and the card itself started to peel off. We talked to a "new" employee on the phone and she said bring it in and I'll return yours and you can buy another one. So, we went in and asked a different person and she said that we couldn't do that. So, the lesson is don't go to Cvs for cards with numbers. read more

Was just on the phone with some lady at the pharmacy. Like the reviews say, unpleasant! She clearly doesn't like her job or doesn't like her life and so she takes it out on these calls. And they made a mistake in transcribing the prescription, instead of half tablet twice a day as written by the doctor, they labled the bottle 1 tab twice a day. I visit this store often--usually past midnight. All i gotta say is: The customer service IS TERRIBLE whenever the employee by the name of "Kevin" is there. So many times have I stood at the registers for extended periods WAITING for him to come back into the store from taking a smoking break! Apparently he takes one whenever he feels like it and then moseys around the store and disappears in the back to waste more time. If you need an item that is locked up, he makes sure you know he is feeling inconvenienced by muttering under his breath with a stone face expression that makes you feel uncomfortable. He's a joke and I HATE going there late at night--knowing that he might be there. I've seen other employees who WERE busy scanning & stocking shelves having to come to the rescue to pick up his slack. I bet his co-workers hate him too. Dont know how or why he still works here but that says a lot about this CVS because there have been complaints about him in the past. read more

I have had so many issues with this pharmacy. After moving, decided to transfer all my prescriptions to this CVS but have been so unhappy ever since coming here. I would get text messages telling me my prescription is ready for pick up to get to the pharmacy and they would tell me it wasn't then when a prescription IS ready, I don't get text messages, these happened a few time, annoying. Had a medication refill transferred over to this one from my old one, and they lost it so had to contact my Dr for a new prescription just to get it filled. Was started on a new medication that my Dr was trying to figure out the right dosage, because it was too early to refill the medication, my Dr was forced to write a prescription at a dosage that we thought would be ok. New Rx, majorly different dosage and Rx, but they would not fill it saying it was too early and I'd have to wait 2 or 3 more weeks to get it filled. Now, I am not only a nurse but also work for the health plan that pays for my medical care, I know darn well that if you have a NEW Rx that is different than the one previously filled for the same medication, it is covered before that month is up. It is considered a controlled substance and personally feel that either they don't know what they are doing, do not know the actual benefits and they didn't even TRY to run it to see if it would go through, they just told me they couldn't, I personally think they are biased about certain medications and will give you a hard time because of it, RUDE. So, I went back to my old CVS a few miles out of my way and got the prescription filled that night. Every time I would come to this pharmacy, it was always a LONG wait, they do NOT have enough staff, and they are completely inconsistent with how they perform there daily tasks, its RIDICULOUS. NOW, I have a medication that had run out of refills, but apparently this pharmacy ended up getting additional refills available, 7 to be exact, but the Rx expired on 3/19/16, ????? So, I call the pharmacy to find out what is going on and they tell me the prescription had expired because it is a year. I tried to explain to them that I had already ran out of refills on this med but somehow they got an additional 7 refills on it but DIDN'T the expiration date, so I can't even use them. I got so exasperated trying to ask how I got the extra refills when I had run out, how could I possibly refill 7 prescriptions in such a short amount of time, she wouldn't look up the history of the medication, calls to the MD, nothing, she would only tell me the prescription was a year old and expired. So, I guess if you get a new order for refills on such a medication/prescription, you can't use it because they don't update their system at all. I got so angry trying to talk to this person and she was just NOT getting it, I hung up on her. So I called my pharmacy I now use and talked to them about, they told me that the RC CVS was now starting an order for this medication and would be calling my Dr, I DON'T want them touching ANY of my medications again cuz they always F%$# them up. THEY ARE COMPLETE IDIOTS!! I am still trying to get all of my prescriptions back to my old pharmacy but their seems to be an issue with at least one of the refill requests because RC CVS messes it up. Actually this is a CVS now. It's great that it's open 24 hours so when you kid is sick in the middle of the night, you can get the meds they need. But what HORRIBLE service at the pharmacy. I dropped off a prescription (during the daytime), and asked if they could flavor it banana, because my son absolutely hates grape. I told them I would wait for it. They told me 15 min an they would call me over the intercom, so we lolly gagged around the store....and waited and waited and waited.... 45 min later I just got in the pick up line frustrated it wasn't ready yet, but when I got to the pharmacist, it was ready and had been ready for 20 min. Hello?!? What the hell people, don't you know how to pick up an intercom and tell me it's freggin' ready already so I'm not wasting my time in your horrible confusing store with two cranky kids who just want to go home?!?!? No apology. No nothing. Whatever. So I get home to give my son his medicine, I open the bottle and what flavor is it? GRAPE. So why did I pay $2.99 for banana flavor if your not going to change it? Call up the pharmacist and she says the medicine is originally grape and they flavored it banana but the grape must be too strong, and the flavor wouldn't change. So.... Why couldn't you tell me it's not possible to flavor it another flavor and save me the trouble of getting medicine my son refuses to take???? After arguing they refunded me the $2.99 but I still have a full $28 bottle of medcine my son refuses to drink. :T read more

What a crappy pharmacy. I totally thought I would have a different experience and that these negative reviews were just from complicated customers. For starters, I had my prescription transferred from another pharmacy due to a new insurance that forces me to get my presc from a cvs and this is the closest to my house. A pharmacist called and told me half of my order was ready and the other half would be available the next day between 2 and 3. I told her to hold on to the half and I will just pick up everything the next day. I go in the next day at 3 and told the other half is not even filled yet, when I said I came in at this time because thats what I was told, that pharm said theres no way since we just received the order. Umm I HAVE THE MESSAGE ON MY VOICEMAIL that says otherwise!! I was livid, I am not making this up...this is what your people told me!! Anyhow I said you know what, let me just pick up the half thats already filled and I will come back later for the rest. She types on the computer forever and consults with others and comes back and says, its not ready. WHAT?!! She explains she wasnt able to bill just half the order so I have to wait for the entire order and it will take 15 mins, they will announce when its ready. No problem, im already here....I'll wait. There is no seating area to wait so I roamed around the store and 25 minutes later still no announcement. I had to go pick up my little one from school. I left there without my meds or an explanation! I am livid!! There is no way I will go back to this pharmacy. I will inconvenience myself and go the the one that is slightly farther than to have to deal with this crap every time. And to think, this was my first experience!! read more

Went to drop off and get a prescription for pain medication for a fractured rib at 12:50 am and it took until 1:30 to get it. The pharmacist, Yen, took forever to come to the counter and then she went to "check" to see if they had the medication but instead started spraying the counters. She went and checked and said it would be 15-20 minutes. Why? All she had to do was put the pills in a bottle. We walked around the store for a little bit and went back and she was just standing at the computer, then took about 8 minutes to take care of another customer, then started laughing with another employee about an empty display on the counter. I went to confront her and get an update and she looked at me and walked away and got on the phone for another 7 minutes. Finally she was like, ok for *name*, and she poured the pills into the bottle and stapled a piece of paper, aggressively sighed as she walked over and rang us up. The entire process literally only took her two minutes. So why was it necessary to make us wait a half hour? Should've gone to a different pharmacy. This lady has no sense of urgency whatsoever. Again, her name is Yen and she's terrible and should be fired. Sooo irritated with this experience, I can't even sleep. read more

24-Hour Pharmacy: The one single star goes to the kind, caring, & unfortunate understaffed pharmacy technicians who try their best to make up for the pharmacy's overall shortcomings. Just about every time I have to pick up a Rx, someone is laying into them with their, VERY UNDERSTANDABLE, tempers. That said, I became accustomed to the 45 minute waits but this last visit was RIDICULOUS!!! After a doctors visit, due to medical urgency, I called ahead to confirm the Rx's I needed filled & they said it would be "ready for pickup" in one hour (specifically stating "5:45pm")... meaning they already had all the authorization & requirements to fill the Rx. By the time they actually had filled my URGENT Rx's, it was 2 HOURS PAST the time they said it would be ready, meaning it took them 3 HOURS TO FILL THE Rx's!!! There were no mix-ups, no misunderstandings, no special authorizations they were waiting on... they just simply are the SLOWEST pharmacy on the planet. My doctor had even personally called in the Rx's explaining that they were time sensitive. Normally, I would give them the benefit of the doubt & practice that difficult yet important virtue of "patience", but they have no sense of time & should not tell me my urgent medicine will be ready at a certain time & then take 2 full hours more to complete it. Avoid this pharmacy at all costs, because even if you're used to the 45 minute wait for your Rx to be filled, I forgot to mention that there is usually a line of 10-to-15 people waiting for pickup. read more

We read all these complaints and wonder why CVS isn't making changes. We have been doing business at this pharmacy for over 25 years. After CVS took over about ten years ago, service has gradually gone down. The previous CVS staff, especially Ingrid, used to be friendly and very helpful. We go in now and there could be 7 people waiting in line and the pharmacy staff does nothing to expedite service. They just don't seem to care and no one seems to be supervising! Today, we received a call from my doctor's office saying that they attempted to refill one of my prescriptions and the pharmacy staff was rude and argumentative on the phone. Our doctor's office asked us if we could please find another pharmacy. Now as a result, we must drive further to get our medications. CVS is building a new pharmacy on Day Creek and Baseline, is the service at this pharmacy going to be bad also? The reviews on the CVS on Haven Ave. are even worse than at Kenyon way. Maybe rather than building new stores, CVS should invest in better management training! read more

As a physician I have never left a review for a pharmacy. After today's incident I feel compelled to do so. I called in a prescription and spoke to the pharmacist to fill an urgent medication. The pharmacist was courteous and understood the urgency as physicians usually give written prescriptions, electronically send a prescription or leave a message on a phone line provided by the pharmacy. The pharmacist and staff never processed it and were rude when the medication was attempted to be picked up. I tried to resolve the situation but the pharmacy tech was so unprofessional saying that it hasn't been done "just because" and the pharmacist was clearly too busy to speak with me or wasn't informed that I was waiting to speak with him. I asked the tech if I could speak to a manager who could help address the situation so that the medication could be filled and he told me that nobody would be speaking to me but the pharmacist. I will stop using this pharmacy for my patients and personal use. If they don't treat their doctors with respect how are they treating the patients? read more
