I dropped by this CVS recently for a vaccine. The pharmacy area is small, so not a lot of space or seats to wait, but thankfully, it was on time and quick. I had the vaccine record in my email within minutes, before I even left the store. This CVS was pretty well-stocked, and not just with drinks and snacks and Halloween candy, which was nice to see and a stark contrast with the empty Rite Aid shelves I usually see nearby in Brooklyn. CVS also often has good coupons, so it's worth joining their rewards program on the app. read more

Poor and slow service at the pharmacy department. CVS is more aggressive than a drug pusher. Everyday they text you to pick up your prescription and saying you have one day less than the day before to pick up your prescription. Waited 25 minutes for my turn and they didn't have my 2nd prescription ready. Called customer service to complain and waited over 10 hearing your call is important to us. Anyway, the bottom line is that CVS sucks! read more

Tried to get an allergy pill with Pseudoephedrine today. It was behind the counter and was told I can't purchase it with my international passport or local school ID. Only Canada/US passport works. I was handed with the government document paper which says the transaction could be made with an ID that accepted by the seller. The manager Itavia was saying they need to document the buyers ID for the purchase. Another customer helped me at the end with her ID. What they do with it? They just looked at it without taking down any information. This is so racial discrimination. read more

CVS Pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - NEW YORK, New York

So grateful for this CVS - this used to be one of my regular CVS's until the one on 27th St opened (closer to my apt). However the woman at the 27th St one has been so rude to me, that I started walking 4 blocks further to this one. The staff always welcomes me when I walk in and there's always someone at the cashier if I don't want to use the kiosk (usually if I want to use a coupon). I also like that there's plenty of staff available in case I have questions. No complaints here. read more

She'll take some sort of rock merchandise any day over the stereotypical overpriced flowers on this holiday. So winning. Otherwise, it's a typical CVS store Lots of inventory. Looks understaffed. Love the self checkout machines. Pharmacy. Grocery items. Clean. Bright. Kind of crazy that there is a Walgreens across the street and two other CVS stores just a few blocks away. Unbelievably rude staff! I am vacationing in NYC and went into this location with my husband and 3 children to buy tampons for one of my teens. We were followed all around the store, as if we might steal something. Then a man came up to my husband and said "it doesn't feel good does it"? I have been going to location for past 5yrs if not longer.. the service at RX counter has gone from good to really BAD.. When i started going there the pharmacist would take time to assist with any issues. now the first thing that come out the mouth of the current RX Emily Chang is to say call your insurance.. As it started to rain and I had my hair done, it was quite nice to run here for an umbrella. It has been years since I had to purchase one. $12.98 for one was quite expensive for me. It didn't have nothing special in it, it was the same quality as the ones in the .99 cent stores. But of course, needs, I had to get one on the spot or get wet without wanting to get wet. And who wants to get wet when someone is not ready to get wet. Don't get me wrong, I love getting wet and washing my hair, but this specific day, I had paid $40.00 to blow dry my hair and there was no way, I was ready to get my hair wet again !... As I got the umbrella, I walked to the register, there was 2 registers and no people to help. I asked the floor manager where is the salesclerk? and she says there is none, to use the electronic machine. Are you kidding me?!!! ... I thought to myself..here is a huge company on a great location Park Av. in NY and they don't have a PERSON to help as a sales agent?!!! Who was the genius of this store who came with this model. If one thing I dislike is going to a place and not having an agent or a customer service rep. I love people, I will never replace the value of a person to a machine, I seriously dislike all this freeken machinery all over places. I am the one who had been on line for 30 minutes or more if I have to, just so I can have a person as an agent in different businesses instead of using a machine. I absolutely refuse to use a machine when I need services, buying something, or using services. Machines will never provide the services in a way that person will do. This review is for the pharmacy only. This should not be your pharmacy if you need consistent and speedy service. This pharmacy takes exceptionally long time to fill scrips. Even pre rush hour times. The staff seems nice but I overheard one of the pharm techs calling a customer crazy. Even if the customers request was outrageous, a good business should not make the others customers privy to the downfalls of others. During my 20 + minute wait to refill two basic meds I heard an earful. The kicker! The tech was so busy discussing other patients that he forgot to fill my script and forgot that I was waiting. I left without my medications bc my lunch hour ended. read more

Hi, I go to this CVS a lot because it's near my apartment. It has a lot of great stuff. It's got shampoo, toothpaste, dental floss, candy, advil, emergen-c, trash bags, magazines, two liters of diet dr.pepper, bottles of fiji water, garnier fructis conditioner, travel size gel, Tom's of Maine deodorant, Dove body wash, loofas, loofas on sticks, photo printing, printer ink, vitamin D, condoms, lubricant, razors for shaving or I suppose you could use them for other purposes but they're sold mainly for shaving purposes, glue sticks, throat lozenges, holiday greeting cards, pens, pencils, erasers, those little floss pick things i dont know what theyre called, ummmmm, shaving cream, coffee filters, coffee, seven up, red bull, sugar free red bull, five hour energy, other energy drinks, tea, and plungers. I think that's everything but I'm prob forgetting a lot. If you have any questions about what other items the CVS has please just send me a message and I will go investigate for you or let you know if I know off the top of my head. The pharmacy people are very nice and so are all the other employees. They're helpful and cool and I'd like to be friends with all of them, or at least most of them, I don't want to seem like I'd be friends with just ANYONE. Hope you've enjoyed my review of this CVS. I had a terrific experience here, due to the *consistently* excellent staff and service. The evening manager, storefront greeter, and cashier ALL provided excellent service. Stores don't always realize this, but this is the reason people will choose to come back. People connect with people first, not businesses. For context, I visited on a Friday evening at 9pm. Again, hats off to the Manager, Cashier, and storefront Greeter working the self-checkout stations. The welcoming attitude is subtle but noticed! read more

Twice I've visited this CVS store on a weeknight evening where store was virtually empty and the sole person behind the cashiers desk refused to ring up my items and instead insisted I use self-checkout. It's agitating to be forced to ring up my own drugstore purchases when there is a perfectly capable checker doing nothing. The second time I actually complained and the person working told me she wasn't allowed to check patrons out when she was at the front alone. Huh? I will actually go out of my way to avoid pardoning this CVS and actually kind myself no longer frequenting any CVS's as a result. There is a much nicer Walgreens right across, so go there instead. read more

Fair selection, friendly associates and good location. The only downfall is that they rely on self-checkout so there's always a line. They should invest in more workers to heighten customer interaction, bu tthis seems to be a CVS cooperate decision. Been here a lot of times. It's your basic CVS but I like that they're open 24 hours. Service has always been okay though the pricing is more expensive than in the one I used to live near in Queens (as is typical for Manhattan). Okay spot to browse in to kill time. read more

The first time and only time I came here was a few months ago to have a prescription fulfilled for a relative. Unfortunately, I didn't get the service I would have hoped for. The pharmacist on call was very rude. I definitely remembered to get her name, Olivia. While I waited patiently, she was on her phone at times. When I asked if the prescription could be filled by the end of the night she gave me an attitude. It was towards the end of the night and it looked like she was performing some sort of inventory, but she didn't tend to my prescription and told me to come back the next day because they were closing for the night after I waited for about an hour? My relative needed the medication for the night and I stressed it to the pharmacist, but she didn't seem to care. It was very unprofessional. I'm never coming to this CVS again after that experience. read more

Self checkout should be an option not to be forced on customers. If no one is at the register I leave. Also, I'am very disappointed that my insurance just switched to cvs as the preferred pharmacy. The pharmacy area is small but there are always empty shelves. They didn't have my medication (which is common) on hand, so Ihad to make another trip the next day to pick it up. Not hard to find and pretty close to 6 train and yellow trains and a couple bus stops. A little further but still walking distance to 1 trains and orange trains. Not a lot of people so not crowded and usually no line. Decent staffs and clean and organized shelves and decent selection of items. Good for photo printing and it's pretty fast. read more

The young male pharmacist I encountered here was obnoxious. He was skeptical about everything I told him, that I had reaction to the inactive ingredients in a generic drug; that the manufacturer that I wanted existed; when I showed him a medical journal article mentioning it and an image of it, he said,"Why are you showing me pictures?"
