Worst experience ever with the minute clinic. Never felt so disrespected. Had an apt and some paperwork was not provided so we went back got all and made another appt. After waiting for 3 hrs. When we got back he told us too bad. He wouldn't perform the appt. I never write reviews cuz I always feel ppl never state the truth but this was so ridiculous and unprofessional that I will NEVER come back to any CVS. Horrible. I hate this place. It gives me the creeps. Invariably it is out of stock of the non-prescription national brands so they can push their in-house brands - that's BS. They have some weird loyalty program where they give you CVS dollars that expire in a few days. WTF is with that? Like I want to stoll the aisles of this place with all the alcoholics and abandoned people who wander aimlessly through there regularly. I must say that their prescription deal for generic drugs is the cheapest of all the drug chains, WalMart, Walgreens, Rite Aid, etc. They are cheaper than the mail system from my insurer. Join their club for prescriptions and they will call you when the order is filled whether monthly or quarterly. That way you can spend the least amount of time in there and get your drugs, cheap. Just today, I came here and waited over an hour for a prescription to be filled and other 15 mins just to pay. Then other 15 minutes to receive counseling to finally receiving the medication. On another trip, I waited 45 mins in line to pick up my medication. The service is horribly slow. They should focus on the customers that are waiting in line instead of answering phone calls. This place still needs to improve on managing their staffs to be more efficient. read more

The pharmacy employees and head pharmacists don't care about their patients or clients. I was called in to pick up a filled prescription. I talked to a counter person and then the lead pharmacist, who then had to process a payment option. I was told to have a seat and I'd be called. And then I spent 2 hours waiting, sitting directly in front of and in plain site of the counter for a payment process to be fulfilled. When I finally inquired about the status, I was told by the head pharmacist, in a very nasty and condescending tone, that I had been called "a long time ago" and that they can't be expected to know who I was, despite having had a direct personal face to face and lengthy conversation with this same pharmacist, and I was sitting in plain site 10 feet away directly in front of the counter. Obviously they knew I was there waiting, but they didn't bother to let me know or perhaps call my name again or just wave at me. I didn't move out of the chair for the entire time. read more

Disclaimer: the pharmacy is the only section of this store I cannot stand. The minute clinic, retail staff, and everyone else was magnificent and worth five stars. I went to the minute clinic this morning to check out an abscess - the RN was so kind, so helpful, and I can't stress that enough. I believe it was Elizabeth Bartlett. She checked out my insurance to see if the medication I needed was covered, and hooray, it was! Here comes the kicker: I walked TEN FEET over to the pharmacy to have my prescription filled. I was simply told "you're not covered" (nobody specified if it was the insurance or medicine I wasn't covered for), and when I asked if I could just take it to my normal pharmacy, they said yes! I called my medical provider to verify my coverage, and headed to my normal pharmacy. They said I only had duplicates of the prescription and the pharmaceutical staff that had said I could take it to another pharmacy were incompetent. It should have been obvious to me (and them!!!) that I couldn't take a duplicate of a prescription to another pharmacy. So now I've come back to this pharmacy for the second time today and am still receiving minimal help. It was also pretty annoying to hear the pharmacists gossip about me in Armenian. I can hear you! I work in a field that requires constant service and customer attention, so this review does not come without considering the employees and their lifestyles. If my employees had acted so incompetently, I would not have stood for it. While I am thankful we were finally able to resolve the issue and get my medication, it took them half an hour to prepare topical cream and 3 anti-viral pills for me, despite having 5 people working and no other customers. If the pharmacy staff had not treated me with so little dignity and respect, I would give them another shot. I am sick. These people you treat are sick. Don't gossip about them in front of their faces, be professional. read more

My husband just drove 40 min to this store as its 5:30 am and open 24 hours. I injured myself and needed a raised toilet seat. He brought it home and it was used!!!! A little pricier than Target, but this location is much closer to where I live. They recently moved some of their products around, but overall I've had positive experiences here. The staff is friendly, although I can't say I love the knee-jerk greeting they give now when you walk in. "Let us know if you need any help finding anything!" It just comes across as stale, and I already assume that if I need help with something I can go to them and ask. To me, it's an unnecessary phrase that just gets in the way. Oh and I've heard horror stories about the Pharmacy, taking a long time to get back to people, long lines that don't move, etc. At least one person I know has decided to get their medication elsewhere. read more

I have spoken with every manager (pharmacy and general store) about incomprehensible long wait times, the countless prescription errors and the complete sloth of the staff. This is the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. Their service is SO bad! It's taken me a WEEK to get my allergy prescription filled. They typed my address wrong into their system and then couldn't find me, failed to ever reach my doctor (who answers the phone himself every time I call and I've never been unable to reach him), they were going to charge me $150 for a nasal spray - I've had to go in 3X and called 5 times! Their lines are SO long and they are totally disorganized. I tried calling their manager and got put on hold endlessly. When my prescription was finally ready they lost it. They actually wrote on the paper prescription to change the percentage of strength that my doctor had prescribed. When questioned, they denied it. This is by far my favorite CVS. Been coming by for years now and I can literally spend hours here (and have). Mostly for face wash and nail polish but they always have some kind of deal for makeup, hair dyes and candy. A BIG PLUS: they keep drawing me back with their ridiculous amount of coupons that expire in 2 days. 25% off entire purchase. $10 extra bucks. $1 off any chocolate. I'm hooked. They even accepted a coupon that had expired cuz I was only a couple days late!! I'm assuming those that wrote reviews about the place being shitty... has never been to the other CVS locations. I've been to over 10 locations all over LA and the Inland Empire.. and they suck balls. They never have anything in stock. Due to all the stealing (?) they lock everything up so you have to flag down a worker to get a shaver. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever tried to use. I dropped off my prescription over a week ago. The lady at the counter told me she needs to call my doc to confirm the quantity. One week goes by, nothing. I called to follow up and the guy on the phone said he will call the doc on Monday since no call was ever made. He said they did try to fax my doctor which I'm thinking you still use fax?! Anyway I called back on Monday, and this time they couldn't find my record and kept asking who I spoke with and exactly when I came in. They couldn't even find my prescription! I was pissed and the lady on the phone finally found it but passed me off to someone else. Then he tried to call the doctor on call. I don't know what the point would be since my doctor should designate how much of the pills I should get, not some doctor on call at my doctor's office after hours. Long story short, no one from the pharmacy ever called my doctor to confirm the quantity. Everyone who got on the phone was all pretty much useless at this pharmacy and sounded like they have no clue how to solve problems. And they are obviously disorganized. I took my prescription back and will never go to a CVS again, at least definitely not the CVS in Montrose. Also not only are the staff at this pharmacy incompetent, it's obvious they talk shit about you which is highly unprofessional. read more

The only reason to ever have a prescription filled here is because they are open 24 hours. The pharmacy service is always terrible and the pharmacy staff are rude. If you get to talk to a pharmacist it's usually ok. But as for the majority of the others behind the counter that I have ever encountered..... some serious customer service and professionalism training is needed. It is true that they are understaffed and the lines are long, especially at night. However, the pharmacists are always friendly and they do their best. Is it their fault that some guy is holding up the line by yelling and complaining that his insurance company won't fund his next round of oxycodone? I don't think so. It's open 24 hours and always has my medications. I have run into difficulties with other pharmacies that have screwed up filling my prescription, fill it partially before telling me they don't have one of my necessary medicines, or simply don't have the brand I need. Here they are always in stock so I never need to worry and they are prompt, as well as provide phone/text reminders. One of my medications is very popular and this is the only place where I can get it consistently. I actually drive out of my way a little bit to go to this CVS. I have had a few positive experiences too. Once I had a plane to catch. Without me even asking, she did me a great favor and moved my medicine to top priority so I got it within five minutes and could make my flight. Not all the employees are like this, however here, I have encountered several who have gone the extra effort to help me and that made a world of difference. At certain times the lines are a little long (for some reason quite a few elderly), but I think that is to be expected. Sometimes it is not the fastest but nothing unreasonable. read more

This CVS is really big, but honestly I can't say that the size of it makes it somehow better. First of all it feels sort of empty inside when you walk in. If I could give zero stars, I would. By far one of the worst pharmacy experiences I've ever had. My father had surgery on his hand after having tendons, arteries and veins reconstructed. He was prescribed a high level narcotic and the pharmacist, Zorab decided to take it upon himself to not give me the prescription and instead questions me as to why the doctor didn't just prescribe something else. First of all you asshole, if you don't know the severity of the accident don't give the person in front of you an attitude and act rude. Do your due diligence and job to get in contact with the hospital where the hard copy prescription was ordered from. Don't belittle your customers because you think you know everything about a drug. My husband took in his prescription after seeing his MD regarding multiple back issues and disc. The pharmacist (Billy) refused to fill in the prescribed medication as the doctor ordered, and instead he states to see a pain management doctor. As a pharmacist he has no right predicting what I need or make any type of suggestions. I will contact the board as well as the corporate office. Terrible Customer Experience: CVS pharmacy in Montrose is the worst service I have ever had. Prescriptions are never ready when you order them on line. Hate getting repeated phone calls and text messages saying my orders ready and you get there stand in line for your prescriptions and the staff members repeated tells me we are still waiting for one or two items to fill, is this a joke... My time and gas spent now having to make two trips not once but several times now with these pharmacy. I will not ever go back to this location in Montrose which by the way is where I live. Considering how much money I spend and my insurance there each month this place really is a joke and the way they operate and treat customers is the worst by far.
