Came in to get a flu vaccine. Pharmacist, Desai Suchita PharmD, attended to me quickly and she was very sweet. You can tell she had a very pleasant demeanor. She made me feel at ease. She took my information quickly, did not make me wait. She administered the vaccine very effectively, no pain whatsoever. Provided me documentation for work, made a funny joke about healthcare employees coming in at the last minutes (I'm guilty, so I laughed). She gave me a coupon and a free pill organizer. Incompetent!!!! Dr. sent the prescription into CVS on a Wednesday. I called on Thursday to check on the status of the prescription. The pharmacist "couldn't find it," so I had the Dr. call it in again. Thursday night, the pharm tech stated that he saw the prescription and that it would be available for pick up Friday morning. Friday morning, the pharmacist can "no longer see the prescription in the system. It's as if it disappeared." I had my Dr. call the script in for the THIRD time, only for the pharmacist to not be able to find it. I visited a neighboring CVS out of sheer frustration and confusion, and had THAT pharmacist call THIS pharmacist and teach him how to view the script in his system. Although they claimed the prescription would be available by Friday night, it wasn't ready until Saturday. Hours of time wasted on the phone with CVS' atrocious answering service and my Dr.'s office... only to have to find another pharmacist teach this pharmacist how to do his job. read more

I have done business at this CVS for 10 years. Never had an issue and good service, never had a cost issue, never had trouble at the drive-in window. There are always people who go to the drive-in window that should have gone inside as their issues are not the simple ones that should be conducted in a drive-thru. They are always fully staffed and everyone is busy. Physicians and office staff using electronic systems to order the prescriptions make mistakes. My experience with the Walgreen's in the area is terrible. I recommend this pharmacy. Sounds as if the haters on these reviews didn't do their diligence and had issues. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with a CVS pharmacy employee over the phone. Then I went in person to pick up the meds and the staff member was extremely rude and unhelpful. I usually pay $36 for my medication using a GoodRX coupon, but she initially insisted on charging me $138, refusing to apply the coupon. After much insistence on my part, she finally agreed to use the GoodRX coupon but made me wait an unreasonable amount of time. This place continues to be the worst pharmacy I have EVER used! Rang up things, never asked for cvs number. Double charged something on sale. The told me in an unfriendly and "not my fault" attitude to go up front they they would straighten it out. Went up front and again it was MY FAULT that I had not used my cvs number for discount. I don't do much shopping at CVS, I find their prices exceptionally HIGH but when they have sales such as "buy one get one free", it makes shopping here worthwhile. Anyways, we stopped by this CVS on a whim while heading home. This isn't our usual CVS but our usual CVS is always out of the items we need so we stopped at a new-to-us location with our fingers crossed they'd have it. This is a horrible location. We recently moved to the area and filling prescribers is hell. They ask for personal identifying information and discuss medications loudly without any regard for HIPAA. The end of the straw for me is their refusal for me, a board certified physician, to write an emergency script for omeprazole. Not Xanax, not aderall, not a controlled substance. My husband recently had surgery and needed a pain medication refilled. This pharmacy would not refill the prescription because it was one day before they felt the refill date should be even though the doctor called to authorize it. This was aggravating and my husband suffered in pain throughout the night. However, they did fill the prescription the next morning and had it ready first thing. I guess I can, on some level understand their point of view given the prescription was for a narcotic and the pharmacies are restricted by state regulations. But, I still feel they should have accepted the doctor's authorization. I'm giving them four stars because they prioritized his prescription the next morning once they felt they could fill it. Just glad it was only one day! Overall, service is good at this location and they do try to be helpful. This is our pharmacy of choice. read more

I try with this CVS pharmacy, I really do. I try to be patient, I try to be understanding, I've even tried lots of empathy. But it's a always a chaotic, slow service experience every time I go. The techs here range from super nice to super grouchy. Just depends on who's working that day. The pick up of orders always presents a challenge. The pharmacy techs usually have to search for filled prescriptions. It appears that their system for organizing filled prescriptions can't accommodate the large amount of filled orders they have. I've seen the techs on many occasions have to go on long searches looking for filled scripts. Another issue is the long waits to pick up orders. I only go to the store for pickups, a day after I've requested the prescription to be filled. But no matter what time of day I go, I encounter at least a 15-20 minute wait. That's actually a good wait time. I've sometimes had to wait for an hour. My insurance requires me to use CVS for my maintenance prescriptions so I must go here. Otherwise I would have said good-bye a long time ago. read more

I was "eh" on this CVS for a long time, but I'm consistently furious with them lately. They keep automatically refilling random prescriptions even though I'm not enrolled in auto refills. I've started getting angry/concerned calls from doctors because apparently CVS is now contacting them about refilling even things like antibiotics, which I only needed for a short period of time. Either that or I'm getting angry calls from CVS themselves because I'm not picking up my refill I 1) didn't request and didn't know I had waiting, or 2) am not even supposed to be taking anymore. It's infuriating and I don't understand it. Why would you make unnecessary work for yourselves and anger customers in the process? Add this to their plethora of other problems, and this is without a doubt the worst pharmacy I've ever used. read more

Prescription was dropped off at CVS 8 a.m. yesterday and was told it would be ready by 4 p.m. yesterday. I show up at 9 a.m. this morning and I'm told it won't be ready until 11 a.m. today and that's the time the computer says its scheduled for. "not what i was told yesterday" At this time, there's no one in line inside or at the drive thru and I politely asked if they could fill it while I am there. I was mid-sentence asking a question and explaining my situation. I was so taken aback by her attitude I just clammed up and said a random time. She then immediately hung up the phone without a word. Filled out the transfer paper she said she / they would call me and let me know if they have it and when it will be ready. I never got a call called them at 9:00 the day. They couldn't find me in the system and they never called the Heb to transfer and said oh we were busy I'll call soon and this is 23 hrs later??? read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS CVS - HORRIBLE SERVICE! I'm not quick to give a place one star...but this CVS truly deserves it. Here is why: -They are always SO backed up. I'm talking an average of a one hour wait in the drive thru AND in the store. -The tech's are SO slow and seem like they're absolutely lost on what they are supposed to do/what's going on. There's about 5-6 of them and the lines move maybe every 15 minutes. Probably the reason for the above. -The one pharmacist there doesn't know how to manage her time effectively. She takes FOREVER on one prescription...while answering the phone multiple times. Why is the pharmacist answering the phone first of all - someone else should be answering...and second of all, the calls can wait when there are 10+ people in line. Also, why is she having PERSONAL CONVERSATIONS with a tech while there are people waiting in line? -When you get a call/text that your prescription is ready, don't count on it being ready. Some of the people ahead of me have had to wait for quite a while even after receiving the notification. I've never been so frustrated with service before. It seems like they need to either learn from Walgreens (where I'm going to be going from now on), or from the CVS down in Sugar Land in the First Colony Blvd area. I know it's not just me because EVERYONE in the line was venting about how this has been the issue every time they've come here. Time management skills are important here! I understand that precision is important with prescriptions..but that doesn't mean the wait has to be long. Also - the tech's need to learn their job as well as how to work under pressure. I wish I could give this place negative stars. They never have my prescriptions ready when they say they will, and although I have asked several times for text messages to be sent when my prescriptions are ready, they have not been able to get it set up. I have also given them my driver's license and asked them to change my address to the one listed and it never fails, every time I get a new prescription, it still has my old address from another city. I've finally given up on getting it changed. A recent back injury has caused me to seek treatment from a pain management doctor. She has been prescribing hydrocodone for pain. The last 3 times I have tried to fill my prescription here, they have been out of it. How can a pharmacy constantly be out of hydrocodone? My doctor sent a new electronic prescription on Wednesday. The pharmacy called me to say that as usual, they were out. I started to phone my doctor and have her send it over to Pearland CVS which is where I have had to get it in the past, but the woman from this CVS assured me that their truck would be in on Thursday between 1:00 and 2:00 and that my prescription would be filled. She promised to call me as soon as it was ready. Of course the phone call never came. I realized at about 6:00 that I'd never been called, but figured she'd forgotten. I headed over to the pharmacy to pick up my pills. Of course they still didn't have the hydrocodone and my order had not been filled. It is too late to get a new prescription sent to a different location. I am now faced with going in at 7am tomorrow to have a procedure done on my back and will have no medication for the pain when the anesthesia wears off after I have been home for a couple of hours. Thanks a lot CVS! If my insurance didn't require that I use CVS I would not patronize any of their locations. As it is, I am now going to start driving the 15 minutes to get to the Pearland location just because they seem to have their act together a little better and they keep hydrocodone in stock. This CVS is pretty awful. It doesn't matter when you go, there is always a line of people waiting that is 5 deep with only one person waiting on them. I rarely get in and out of here quickly and without a problem with one of my prescriptions. Today I actually left the store and went through the drive-thru because it looked quicker, only to be told it would "take a while" to "get my prescription card in the system", and would I like to come back later? No ma'am, I would not, I have a sick child in this car and she needs her medicine now. I ended up paying full price. Upon arriving home, I discovered that they didn't flavor a children's medication that is known to taste awful and my daughter gags and pukes on it. Horrible service. Every Time I go here or call them I get the worst treatment ever. I have complained to the manager and the problem is never fixed. I was in the drive thru and the lady at the window told me I have to park and come inside because me waiting to fill my proscription will hold up the line. First of all if I wanted to come inside I would have done that to begin with. Second of all I was not dressed to run inside because I was feeling sick and needed my medications ASAP. I was so pissed. They are always polite and helpful. I started going to this CVS pharmacy since the other one near the front entrance of Sienna Plantation is so busy. I find the service thru the drive up window to be much quicker. Also, this location is really convenient when you just need a few basic items and don't have time to go to HEB. Overall, I highly recommend this CVS. read more
