Aldi is very hit or miss these days. Some items are cheaper, but they won't always have what you want. Sometimes I have things you can only get here especially at the price point Sometimes you can get in and out more quickly than larger stores, but other times the store is understaffed and you end up in a long line to check out. I would never make it my regular store for groceries but if you want to do something different or try to save a few bucks, this is your place. read more

I love this place. I love their prices and I am 100% open to changing my review once I see things have been addressed. A few things happen with one cashier on my last visit leaving me just dumbfounded. One the cashier didn't put my things in my bag which I get it it's pretty much self service but they usually always do and I had my baby with me and she had a line so you would think she would do that to help move things along. So I started loading my bag and I guess I wasn't going fast enough cause she shoved the basket into me yo get out of the next customers basket in place. I am clearly pregnant with a 1year old !! I should haven't to say more, but lastly one of my drinks was open. She took it and told me to go get another one. Clearly, I don't expect her to watch my 1year old and basket so I took the basket through the only opening I could go thru between the registers and grabbed my drink & returned within a minute and the opening was completely blocked. Like WHY? If anyone knows there is only one way in and one way out?? She was the only cashier (although there was another cashier talking about how she's not about to get caught at the register when her shift ends) she knew I was going to get a replacement and I had a child and a cart. She had a long line... soooo why??? Why would she block the only way for me to be able to get out? I'm so upset. Nothing against Aldi but come on. Normally anyone working at this location is polite and helpful. However, this is a first to deal with a cashier that's no only rude and pushy but condescending. The older man, named Edwin is ridiculously rude. Sincerely hope he is made aware of his words and behavior. Otherwise, anyone who shops here will have a pleasant experience. As an innately indecisive shopper who can spend hours fumbling around a large supermarket questioning the best products, I love the concise nature of ALDI. There are no big name brands and it is very quick grab-and-go. However, they don't skimp on quality either as there are numerous healthy and organic products for all diets and lifestyles! The quarter cart system is brilliant by helping reduce costs and keep everyone accountable to return them neatly. You will need your own grocery bags as they do not provide them for free. The store itself is pretty small, about 4-5 aisles, but has about everything you need! There's even an eclectic miscellaneous aisle with interesting home goods Here are some of my favorite random ALDI products: berries, mushrooms, sprouted grain bread, assorted cheap spices, soybean/edamame noodles, cauliflower crackers, pea snacks, chickpea snacks, black bean chipotle burger, vegetable chips, etc. As you can see, I love my ALDI snacks, and they have so many unique food finds!! I love how healthy they are too. They have this store brand called simply nature that has all natural simple ingredients; I adore everything under this brand. They also have their version of halo-esque protein ice cream that is delish! COVID UPDATE: they have protective barriers and the carts were free. There is social distancing in place. read more

My trip on this day wasn't good but not bad, I just didn't find what I was hoping for. Trying the Keto thing and that's not working yet either. I went looking for their Le Keto Bread I read about with no luck. Talking to an Employee was told it had only been out 3 months at the time and Aldi or Whomever did not make enough. So sold out within days. If you like Real Germany Brats Aldi do have those even with Cheese when in stock and to me are much Better than any US made, being I was stationed in Germany, eaten with a hard Roll. Essentials included. This is the 3rd Aldi's I've visited in the area. Same establishment with its own personalized charm. Aldi's touts low prices without sacrificing quality. I concur. Their "off-brand" items are comparable to any accepted brands and are definitely worth a gander. They even have items that I probably wouldn't buy from Aldi's, like an underwater HD camera, but it's admirable. Their produce is pretty good too. The staff is friendly and helpful. My only gripe is the long lines. They generally have one person on the cash register, so when the lines get backed up, they really get backed up. However, staff is pretty good about calling for assistance if things get out-of-hand. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this location. Just make sure you bring your own grocery bags and a quarter to use a shopping cart. read more

I was absolutely ecstatic to find out that an Aldi was opening right around the corner from where I live. They have some of the best prices on groceries, and once you've learned the tricks (bring a quarter for a cart, bring your own shopping bags, etc.) it's easily one of the best places to grab what you need. They have all of your grocery staples, most commonly in the form of house brands, but with some brand name equivalents as well. The house brands carefully mimic brand names, so you're pretty clear on exactly what you're going to get. Aldi maintains a limited meat selection and doesn't employ any of the extras that bigger chains have, like pharmacies and in-store banks. On the bright side, they planned this location well, right across from a Walgreens, so you can literally just go across the street and grab medicine, detergent, etc. if you can't head down to the Wal-Mart a half mile down the road. The staff is generally very friendly and helpful, and they're surprisingly quick at keeping cashier lines moving. That's for the best, because usually only one of the five lanes are open and you're going to be waiting for a while. read more

This is my curbside location. I was sleeping on Aldi, but not anymore. I must say, their curbside service is great. So far, with my meat selection, they have not disappointed me at all. One time I ordered salmon and they had to replace it for a larger salmon, the slab did not disappoint me at all. It was very thick and worth the $21 I paid. The produce is good as well. Thanks Aldi! We definitely needed another grocery option in the Meadows Place/Stafford area. I think most of us are becoming familiar with the stores because they have been popping up all over town. Smaller stores, 90% Aldi exclusive brands, quarter for your cart, return the cart & get your quarter back, pack your own groceries. All this helps to keep the prices low. It really works out if you're on a budget or just need to run in for one or two things quickly because it's more like a neighborhood store. There seems to be a little bit of everything! read more

I've shopped here since this place opened earlier this year and have had pretty good experiences until today when I had no quarters (for carts) so I had a "box" to carry my items (it was a lid of a box). When I got to the register Evelyn (black, with short curly hair) rudely told me to take everything out of the box. Then when she was done putting everything in her cart I asked her if I should just borrow the cart and return it to her or if I should just take the box (politely and respectfully) and she gave a look and said, "you take your box". She's been my cashier before and she's always been pretty respectfuly engaging but today must've been a really off day. Being rude to someone who is being respectful to you isn't appreciated. I love right near it and only pick up things if it's convenient, if this is what I'm going to look forward to I don't mind going back to HEB, Walmart or any of the other grocery stores in the general area. read more

I love this place and the concept behind it. You use a quarter to get a cart and you need to bring your own bags. It's a great store, even though it's really small, which I think is the appeal behind it. Don't get me wrong, your Walmarts, HEBs, and Targets have like every item imaginable from sushi to organic gmo free gluten free whatever whatever. Half the time, I'm not even sure people really want it as much as they want the label. I'm all for being healthy and natural, just not for being conned by big businesses. This store is chic and to the point. It's a grocery store, so you won't be able to find your preferred make up or hair gel. You also won't get 20 options of spaghetti. You get 2, maybe three. The rest of the store is like that. You get the Aldi brand and 1-2 other recognizable brands, be it Kraft, etc. Some items may have more variety like bread, but at the end of the day bread is bread and spaghetti is spaghetti. The only disappointing thing is that I wish they had more in the way of frozen food selection as I'm not too keen on Mexican frozen food, being I can get yummy home made stuff from mi madre, but other than that I like it. You're not wasting hours like you would at a HEB and the prices are great. The food quality is good and you'll like that Aldi brand if you are not loyal to name brands and willing to experiment with food. You go in, you go out, you get what you want. I love it. The staff here are ALWAYS friendly and efficient. The only negative thing about this place would be the F-grade customers who are generally assholes and are super rude to the staff when something doesn't go lightning speed. Other than that, super friendly service and great spot to go when I'm in a hurry. I felt super bad last time I went (reason I'm writing this review) because one of the customers was being extremely difficult and held up the line. He wanted a price change on something because he misread the sign, blah blah blah... Carlos (our cashier) was patient and trying to assist and one of the other customers in line yelled that he was moving to another line "because of your goddamn mistake!" (blaming the cashier). The same customer who was holding up the line decided to come back and try to cut the line after he already checked out because he suddenly decided he didn't want one of his groceries any more. Carlos politely said he'd have to go to the end of the line because others were already waiting to check out. Long story short: these customers suck. LITERALLY 9 times out of 10, there will be SEVERAL elitist customers who think the world revolves around them. That is the ONLY complaint I have about this location. read more

Today I go there buy some strawberries,I took two cases, a lady employee saw me and say it's only allowed one case, I asked why ,she said it is not enough, but over there still have a lot . And she is rude. Whatever at last I just took one ,when I go to check ,she told the cashier that I only can take 6 boxes ( one case is 8 cases), what f**k ? Why not put a limit sign front the stuff ? If you've read any of my Aldi reviews, you already know I'm an Aldi Addict, so don't expect any less than a five star review unless I was just looking for petty things to critique-for example not having a quarter to get a cart, but humanity still exists and a man in the store had a quarter in exchange for my two dimes and a nickle, so no biggie! Maybe the first time shopping here your might be taken aback that the carts aren't free, but at least the incentive to bring the cart back to get the quarter returned keeps the carts from roaming the parking lot (because you know people don't take carts back to the store front most of the time)! I consider Aldi ingenious in that regard- for not only thinking that people will walk a cart back to the store front just to get a quarter back, but giving consumers great prices for groceries! I'm pretty much sold that they have the lowest cost for eggs anytime of the year and the produce section is definetly a God sent for those trying to live a healthier lifestyle. Gluten free pastas are also very inexpensive here as I have come to find out that my IG tract tends to bloat from wheat products. A little TMI in that last sentence, but you follow what I'm saying- Aldi is Amazing for you and your wallet. Even the cashiers tend to be less wound up and cranky since this European company allows them to cashier from a seat. They do not have to stand all day and since consumers like me will walk m cart bacmk to the store front for a quarter, they don't have to break their back chasing carts from the parking lot. Seems like a win win to me! I will warn you- there are no free bags at Aldi. They believe in a more eco friendly approach to shopping which includes 1. buying a plastic reusable sack from there or 2. bringing your own. I've never bought a bag from Aldi since they usually have a some cardboard boxes hanging around for people to grab and place their groceries in (this location was nice enough to provide a little caged area towards the front where they place extra boxes), but now I find myself with a lot of boxes around the house from doing that, so I'm placing bags in my trunk--just in case I see an Aldi while driving and make an impromptu stop. Seriously folks--if you haven't shopped at Aldi, you're missing out on a money saving experience for sure! Just be patient with the lines. I've noticed that there aren't many cashiers at Aldi. 1 is the norm. You get someone with a cart full of stuff and there will be a wait. Nice Little Grocery Store. My "In & Out" Store when I want to avoid going to Wal-Mart. "Store Brand Name Foods" sold here so don't expect to see DelMonte, Heinz, or whatever. It's Slim to None. I understand the concept of Aldi's but I feel the selection should be a little more than what they have. On top of that having a cashier sit at the register with headphones in her ears isn't what customer service is about. I would have given 2.5 but unable to. There were a few employees who were very good and friendly. The other ones were stuck in their own world and couldn't give 2 cents that we were there shopping. We were in line that stretch all the way down the isle and finally someone decided to open up. There really isn't any sense of urgency or care to get people out. Hopefully management can look into fixing this. Customer will leave and not return and you as a company would lose out on sales. The stuff there are nice and inexpensive, with lot more selection than say cvs and walgreen, basically it's a mini supermarket. NOW THE DOWNSIDE: CUSTOMER SERVICE IS PRETTY MUCH NON EXISTENT, AND NOT TO MENTION A COUPLE OF CASHIERS THERE ARE PRETTY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL, ESPECIALLY THE BIG FAT MANLY BLACK WOMAN. Small grocery store with limited varieties of products focusing on it's own brand and off brands. The Aldi brand and off brands I tried were good quality products and so much cheaper than national brands. Most products were even cheaper that Walmart. Because of limited goods, the store is never busy and close proximity of parking spaces were always available. Two warnings about Aldi, no shopping bags are provided (bring your own)and a quarter (refundable) is needed to use shopping cart. I drove across town to give this place a shot. I figured since they were owned by same company as Trader Joe's, they would probably rock it. Could not be further from the truth. Apparently if you don't carry cash you'll be loading the groceries in your arms or grocery bags. You see you have to put a quarter into the shopping cart in order to use it. Also I have reusable grocery bags, which is good because they don't have bags, and they don't put stuff into your bags! Also only one cashier in the entire store and she was pretty rude. read more

I never thought I would be giving an Aldi's four stars because I have not been a fan of them in the past. This store, however, deserves the four stars. This Aldi's, for me, is a place to go and grab basics that I may be running low on like vegetable oil, coconut oil (both of these oils sold here are high quality and the coconut oil is organic), onions and to sate an almost constant chocolate craving. The chocolates sold here are very good and made with quality ingredients plus the prices are excellent. The packages of sugar wafers are quite addicting too! Aldi's has just a very minimal selection of toiletries but that's no problem since I don't come here for those. The focus here seems to be on food items rather than being an all in one shop. Aldi's seems to carry their own or other brands I am not familiar with. For basic pantry staples they work well. I have not bought anything from the frozen or meat department so I can't comment on those since my main reason for coming to Aldi's is for the above purposes. The store is small but clean and well kept. Associates are very helpful and friendly as well as efficient in the checkout lanes. If you want a grocery cart, you have to deposit a quarter in the chain/latch that keeps the carts together. When you are finished with the cart, simply hook it back to another cart and your quarter pops out of the "lock". This is not an entirely bad idea because it can help deter lazy people from leaving their shopping carts all over the parking lot. Bring your own grocery bags because Aldi's does not have any. Also be prepared to bag your own groceries, which isn't hard to do. It's these things that help keep Aldi prices very budget friendly. All in all, Aldi's is perfect for quick stops and staple stock ups. Everything I have bought so far is qualtiy and I have no complaints. read more

I've been frequenting Aldi's for awhile & its great to have a location that is closer to Sugar Land! They are a small German super-chain market that have sprouted all around the US. I would often visit the Aldi's past Riverstone. It would take time getting there, driving all the way down on highway six. I was excited when I randomly passed by this location a month ago before they were even opened. We finally received a coupon in the mail mentioning that they were open for business. Yay! Sadly I didn't get to use the coupon as it expired the day before we went. But not to worry, because the prices at Aldi are stellar anyway. As a lover of European chocolate, I often visit and stock up on Choceur chocolate! There are so many flavors and they are all delicious. My favorites are the hazelnut milk chocolate and chocolate butter biscuits. Two of the flavors that I enjoy were missing.. but maybe things had ran out that evening. There were soo many people inside! I purchased milk, yogurt and even fruits and vegetables this time. Everything tastes great and fresh. I recommend the raspberries, blueberries and even some of their produce. They have plenty of organic options in the dried goods section. I often purchase Aldi's line of organic apple cider vinegar, cereal, and snacks. All of the organic purchases are worth it without breaking your bank. Bye WholeFoods! Love LOVE LOVE Aldi! We are right across the street so it has been super convenient to get my essentials here. I love the prices & selection of items here. As a new mom the baby area (wipes, ibuprofen, formula) have definitely helped my baby budget! Diapers here aren't great. But there are plenty of other places to get those. Produce selection is way more than expected. Everything I have purchased has been comparable to what you'd get at HEB, Kroger, etc in terms of taste and freshness.
