This Whole Foods location in Sugar Land is one of my favorite grocery stores for fresh produce,…read morebakery items, organic foods, specialty diets, and high-quality meat and eggs. If you're looking for gluten-free, vegan, or other specialty products, the selection here is excellent. The store is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking, and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. A nice bonus is the Amazon return counter inside the store. You can bring eligible Amazon returns without packaging, and they handle the rest. One thing I wanted to mention for anyone trying to take advantage of the current Amazon Prime ice cream promotion (50% off pints through July 7): this location has had ongoing ice cream issues. I visited twice recently and found the freezers completely empty both times. On one visit, staff said they were waiting on a shipment; on the next visit, they explained that the freezer had broken and posted a sign stating that no ice cream pints were available for sale. So if you're specifically coming for the ice cream deal, I'd recommend calling ahead first or checking another Whole Foods location. Aside from that issue, it's still a great store and a very convenient Whole Foods for the Sugar Land area.

There just is nothing so overwhelming that the price per pound should be as high as it is. Salad bar items are 11.99 a pound. Olive bar, I would expect to be higher but not 11.99 as well. I completely understand and it's very well known that because of its organic food selections and quality that Whole Foods does selectively market to a higher economic demographic that is less price sensitive. However, I am in that upper demographic and I'm getting distracted by getting a salad and some olives and walking out of the store with a $35 bill. At this price, I can just eat at a restaurant, and a decent one at that.

She didn't see it and asked another employee who told her it was seasonal and not in stock. I went to the photo counter and asked if the machine was working. They explained there were so many orders that it was constantly working and a specific piece (he said the name but I can't remember) broke and had to be ordered.

Disappointing Service and Battery Issue Ignored…read more I had a very disappointing experience at this location on June 11. The staff seemed uninterested and unmotivated--only a couple of people had any kind of friendly demeanor. Most of the employees ignored customer questions, and there was a general lack of communication. I brought my car in because the battery, which I had purchased from this location (and is still under warranty), was failing. AutoZone had previously tested it and recommended a replacement. At the counter, one employee checked my invoice and took my key, then handed it off to a service technician. I waited inside, saw the car being tested, and then it disappeared--so I assumed they were doing a road test. Nearly an hour passed with no updates. I tried asking staff members what was happening with my car, but no one responded or seemed to care. A woman at the counter even refused to help because I didn't have the service intake form--something I was never given in the first place. Eventually, I found my car parked outside, in a place that wasn't visible from the service area. It took extra time to get my key back, again because there was no paperwork showing I had dropped it off. I was told the battery tested fine, yet in the past week alone, I've had to jump-start the car three times. This kind of service is unacceptable--especially when dealing with a warranty issue. I expected more professionalism and basic communication. Definitely not coming back here. Update as of June 18: Due to the same battery failure in my vehicle, I was stranded on the road again. I first went to the nearest Walmart Supercenter at 22850 Morton Ranch Rd, Katy, where I waited in line, only to be told when it was my turn that they didn't have a replacement battery of the same size. I then drove to the 25108 Market Pl Dr, Katy location, where I experienced the same issue. Finally, I was able to get the battery replaced at the 1313 N Fry Rd, Katy location. Unfortunately, I lost another half a day dealing with this problem.

He makes the best kare kare. But you can't beat home cooking. Too bad my FIL is in CA. The liempo was good, but how can you really mess up grilled pork belly? However, I did like Sizzle. Their bangus sisig on a grilled platter was so delicious! I was jealous of my husband's pick. I also really loved the items at Valerio. Reminds me of Panorama City in CA. Everything here was light and bright and it smelled clean. Would I come back? Only if I'm in town. Next time I'll bring a big cooler.

Its a place to sit down for a bit, while I do appreciate the idea, it felt like I was eating in the middle of a warehouse , I didn't like it and did not even enjoy the bhel I bought. It probably was good I cannot say, I was famished and was so glad to find that they had my favorite chats, but once I sat down I just gulped down and couldn't wait to escape towards the better side of the store.... I would get a to- go next time. The vegetables I bought were fresh and the crates and crates of mangoes were just soo inviting. They carry everything required in an Indian kitchen and much more.

I have been going to Keemat Grocers since 1988 when it was on Settler's Way and Hwy 6. I bought products for the upcoming Lakshmi puja, but I dropped the bag on the floor and it touched my feet. I wanted to exchange four items ( a coconut , paan, bel leaves, and 2 suparies), and this staff initially wouldn't exchange the items and said so rudely and said to just wash them. I told him no and he very rudely asked me to get the items. I was shocked with his rudeness as if I was trying to get things for free. I would appeal to Bengalis in Sugar Land not to support Keemat grocers unless they train their staff to be polite and cordial.

It is next door to 99 Ranch and whatever I couldn't get there, I surely found here (thankfully). I was looking for mint, Asian cucumbers (long ones and the ones I used to grow in my garden), eggplant, white yams, other greens, even spotted perilla and a wide variety of bok choy. The melon and jackfruit were overripe and I could smell them. The selection of tofu and tofu byproducts was vast but too expensive. $3.99 for tofu that I can get way cheaper at any non-Asian grocery like Kroger's, Walmart, or HEB; it costs me $1.99. Or I could just buy it in bulk at Costco. Even the San San Tofu tofu looked to be sitting in lukewarm tainted water for days or weeks, it wasn't chilled. Also, the amount of shipments and boxes that litter the aisles is more of a hazard and a liability since they block products on the shelves. I almost tripped looking at the green onions because of an empty box aimlessly lying in front of the area. The aisles towards the middle section of the store are as narrow as ever with more boxes in the way. I attempted to look for the Three Ladies brand rice paper, but of course, they didn't have it. I've only been able to locate them at H Mart. I mean, this store is just not affordable when it comes to the frozen food and buns selection. I honestly did not have any issue with the staff or customer service because there was one thing that happened, the cashier did not speak. I didn't greet her and she just did her duty. It was perfect and kind of wish it was like that everywhere. I come in stores to shop not to hold a conversation. I'm glad I didn't get disgusted looks either. It's a strange concept to have a grocery store located in a mall setup, but the parking was vast and shared with other businesses.

Usually, I am content with the items I buy at Jusgo. NOT today!…read more Went by for flank steak to make a nourishing soup for someone in recovery. The ginger and other fruit were fine. When I asked an employee in the produce department where a scale was, he said, "No." I said that there HAD to be one as I needed a certain amount of white radish. He just stared back at me. The other employee next to him pointed to the far corner. Now, the "flank steak." As you can see from the picture, OVER half of the steak (blanched) is fat and membrane! It only comes packaged. I thought it had a thin membrane covering it, which would have been acceptable if it was over a long piece of steak. Didn't have time to go back. I arrived home at 6:30p and had to use it because the soup cooks for four hours and was being delivered tomorrow morning. (I hope that one star anise does not overpower the broth!) I should have had them unwrap it before purchase. Once, I bought a doong/joong/zongzi there that I unwrapped a few days later. It was moldy. When I returned it, no apology. Should have learned then to be aware. I will say that the cashier was friendly and smiled when she handed me the receipt.
