Hi, I would like to express my frustration regarding my recent experience at the CVS Pharmacy located on Dykes and Miramar Parkway. I am currently visiting from out of state when my daughter became very sick and had to be taken to the hospital at midnight, where she tested positive for the flu. Her prescription was sent to the nearest pharmacy, which was this CVS location. When I arrived the following morning, I was met by an overwhelmed employee at the pharmacy counter who immediately told me to go to the nearest Walgreens due to insurance issues. I understood that my insurance might not be accepted and was fully prepared to pay out of pocket if necessary. However, instead of being offered options, I was simply told it would cost "over a hundred dollars" and that it would be in my best interest to go elsewhere. I drove to Walgreens, where the pharmacist informed me that the situation would be the same and suggested I return to CVS and ask about paying out of pocket. They also recommended looking for a coupon online, which I fortunately was able to find. When I returned to CVS, there was a long line. I explained what Walgreens had told me, but the same employee seemed unwilling to assist and initially refused to help. It felt as though I was inconveniencing her by asking for support. Only after further discussion did she mention that she had coupons available. This left me wondering why this option was not offered from the beginning, which would have saved valuable time during an already stressful family emergency. I was then told it would be another 20-minute wait. As someone visiting from out of state and dealing with a sick child, this experience was extremely disappointing. A little more willingness to help and clearer communication would have made a significant difference. Unfortunately, this left a very poor impression during what was already a difficult situation. I post reviews of CVS in their app. Yes I am now a card carrying member of CVS pharmacy and it's attached insurance company. One day I was particularly angry at CVS and I commented that the reason I faced a delay was that they did not give enough pharmacy technicians to help the pharmacist. Pharmacy Garbage!! I am a reasonable person but this is ridiculous. Came to the dentist next door and they insisted I use this CVS so I'm able to get the meds quicker as my son was having his wisdom teeth pulled. They said come back before 1:30. Was in line at 12:35. Few cars I front of me. They closed in my face @1:30 after being in the line for 55 min. I was unable to get off bc my kid was bleeding from his surgery. Horrible cust serv. The store itself is clean and well organized. If you're here to buy cosmetics, toiletries, OTC vitamins&supplements ect, don't forget register your phone number and type it in the little coupon machine that they have inside the store. This coupon machine have saved me a lot of $ lol As for the pharmacy, I truly and completely understand the wait - it is not their fault as they are really understaffed. I had to pick up a prescription once and I only saw 1 pharmacist and 1 technician for the whole pharmacy. Despite everything the technician was still really nice. If time permits on your behalf, i do recommend going here around 10-11am in the morning as the line is not that busy. They also offer PCR testing (via drive thru) just incase you need a test for your travels, just book an appointment on their website. I've come to this pharmacy for a few of the PCR tests that i needed and the results were released from as early as the same day as when I took the test to 48 hours later. read more

This CVS is quite nice, the employees are fine. And they make sure to help you in a way possible. Snacks? Got-em. Drinks? Of course. A prescription? Most definitely. I've came to this CVS today for some snacks for my basketball team, we had fun today, played some games and then went inside for the day. Obviously tired and ran out of purified water I went to the CVS for some, and let me say. It was an in and out experience. Sometimes I'll come to this CVS for peeks and kicks because, why not? They stock really fast so they never run out of something. (Amazing snacks to stack up on when you got extra change, LOL). This is by far one of the best CVS's that I've been coming to since I was 4, and I'll never stop coming until it's last moments of business. P.S this CVS is really good. LOL. Pharmacy needs Help. I already asked my wife to plz stop sending our kids and her scripts to tHis location. The lines are increíble and the Customer service is poor. I would really suggest that CVS start giving the pharmacy staff some Customer service training. Attitude is everything. Last night the Pharmacy manager was giving everyone in line excuses and attitude. Told us all in line that " give us a few minutes we are not serving Candy we and giving you all medicine and we need to get it right". A simple sorry for the dElay folks would of been sufficient. No need for the extra sarcasm. I arrived at 7:30pm waited for 30 mins in line when I got to the counter scripts were not ready. They told me it will be ready in 15 mins came back at 8:45 still had to wait another 10-15 mins the person handling the couNter I gave her break because I can tell she was a front store employee and she was really trying to help. Disappointed with CVS because they no longer accept Blue Cross Blue Shield I had to switch over to Walgreens, which is a 15 minute drive in the opposite direction. Nevertheless, CVS is still the most convenient store for basic drugstore items. Love the fact that it's a 24 hour store (pharmacy closes at 9pm). Super convenient, great deals & coupons, clean, always smells fresh & helpful staff, it's always a pleasure shopping at CVS! read more

Terrible Pharmacy! Corporate really needs to come in and evaluate their staff working in this pharmacy and the terrible service they provide. Their technicians barely speak or read English. They can't seem to manage to tell me why the prescription is rejected. Horrible place to fill your prescriptions. In addition, They don't have the appropriate syringes to give out for liquid medications dispensed for an infant, and also they don't counsel the parent in the proper use of the syringe. I do not recommend filling your prescriptions here if you care for your health and well being. read more

This CVS has a very limited grocery selection, with more cheap beer and wine options than anything else. In addition, when I checked out, the cashier checked out each item individually, which prevented me from getting CVS in-store 2-for-1 and 3-for-1 deals and led to me being overcharged. read more

I always say I will never go back here but due to convenience of location and drive through, I end up back there. Their service is usually poor however, as you will wait in line 30 minutes or more and often, the people at the window are not customer service oriented. Saily in the pharmacy is the worst. She hung on the the provider multiple times, and gave me no explanation on what was going on. She only spoke in Spanish to other employees, she didnt not finish helping me but left to go home because her shift was over. Someone else came to help. Why don't you open your pharmacy 24 hours? The closest 24 hour pharmacy is in Miami Lakes. There is no 24-hour CVS pharmacy anywhere along the I-75 highway. Nothing west of it either. Pharmacy customer service is below standard. Pharmacist was rude over the phone and inefficient at locating my prescription in the computer. When I went to pick up my meds, only one of the two meds was filled(the refill I was expecting was not) I was told to call back the next day to see if they had it in stock. i went to CVS to get my medication, first, i was told my dr. had not sent it. i had to come back the day after. i had to coordinate my medication with my dr and was told they did not have my profile. The pharmacist in charge, a young female never told me she needed my profile. Then, i was told my medication was in back order and i could not get it for about 3 months. Walgreens had it readily available. i told the pharmacist in charge that their service and communication were very unuseful. She then said, you cannot say those things. ha, i live in uSA, so, there. Just spent at least an hour here. The problem is the same as everyone has already mentioned. The service is bad. The pharmacist guy is a loud mouth when you ask him simple questions. They said my insurance didn't approve of it. I called my insurance and they said the pharmacy never ran it or input the wrong information. read more

My recommendation: do not use this pharmacy. I have been enduring a regular three-month frustration trying to get what should be a very run-of-the-mill refill accomplished at this location. In the year and a half I have been coming here, I have never once been inside the building when the system was actually up and running the way it is supposed to be. The straw that broke the camel's back for me was when I called in a prescription refill and was told it would be ready in an hour. When I arrived a little over an hour later, I discovered that the person who gave me that assurance had not even been able to confirm my prescription in the system, since according to the pharmacy tech who was present when I arrived, I did not have anymore refills left. If I had been provided that information when I called to have the prescription refilled, I could have gotten everything sorted out and been able to obtain my prescription on the day I needed it. Instead, I had to take more of my time to contact the doctor and resolve the matter - needless to say, with a different pharmacy. read more

If I could give this store and pharmacy a lower score, I would. Every single time I go, the wait time is unnecessarily long, too long. I've worked for CVS so I know the policy is 3 or more customers, call for help, but sometimes help takes forever to arrive, especially when it comes to the pharmacy. At whatever time you go, the pharmacy takes forever and the line is long. The customer service is TERRIBLE, they look at you waiting and don't attend you, when they do, the attitude is unnecessarily rude. It's almost like if they don't care in the least for their customers. I have to give this pharmacy a 2. Although the staff is OK the service is pathetic. For some reason management decided to shorten the working hours and the place is a big mess. The poor staff is overworked. They are great people, but customers are terrible harassing them. They just need to extend the working hours. I don't think fire regulations allow more people inside that area. It looks like and airport check in point during the peak times of the year. I thought we lived in America. The land of the free.
