This Walgreens is at the corner of Pines Blvd and Dykes Rd. It's in a busy intersection and plaza but isn't hard to navigate to. I came here to pick up prints because its close by but it proved to be more difficult to pick up than necessary. Overall, the store itself is clean and fully stocked. The service wasn't overall a great experience. Not sure if the person that was at the photo center was meant to work there but she had a sour demeanor and I felt like a burden just asking a simple question. Although hesitant to help me, she gave me my poster board and told me to check out at the register. When I went to check out, the lady at the register was also not helpful. She scanned my barcode and told me to pay although I already paid online. With a lot of back and forth, I finally left after 10 minutes with my posters when they realized that I had already paid. Walgreens has the worst pharmacy doing business in America today! In fact, their customer service sucks, their website sucks and its useless, they have no email contact system, no live chat, nothing, which shows how little they care about customers. Their pharmacy is the worst...they overcharge for prescriptions, in fact, I've never in 50 years paid hundreds of dollars to fill one prescription...gold doesn't cost as much as they charge to fill an Rx!! Their customer service sucks, they never respond or care about their customers. In fact, if they announced going out of business, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised, because this is the same nonsense that Eckerd Drugs and Sears and Kmart started, right before they all folded, so mark my words this time next year Walgreens will be closing stores! The entire experience in their stores, photo or pharmacy ALWAYS sucks because the corporate doesn't care, which explains why the employees don't care! I called for a status of my prescription and they said it was ready, but it was not. The waled up to the counter they said they are working on it right now 30 minutes later they said the Pharmacist was tied up. I waited again another 30 minutes then a long line. I go back in line and they said was next next, but the Pharmacist was still busy. Once again I waited and after over 1 hour I gave up !!! All they needed to do was to say please give a few hours instead of me wasting standing. I still have not yet received the medication. The staff just needs to speak up and not throw out the baloney of just a few more minutes . Ugh read more

This Walgreens has staff that can range from descent to really rude. I've used this location 100's of times and yet I can still get a hard time at the pharmacy. I usually only go inside when I have to or nothing else is open. They seem to be well stocked all of the time. The prices are high and the lines are long at night and on the weekend. I get they're understaffed. But at this point, it's getting out of control. "IF" you're able to get to them, they only speak to you on speakerphone...while you're giving them personal data (DOB, address, name). There have to be customers in front of them. And those customers can very well take your information just by listening in. They confirm medications for same day, but then cancel the medication out. When you call again, they ask for all your information WHILE ON SPEAKERPHONE. Rinse, repeat. Do better, Walgreens. read more

We went in for some bandages and he staff member helped us out nicely. There are buttons in the store when you need some help and they announce it across the whole store intercom system, so you know someone will be coming sooner rather than later. I notice the store is stocked well. The checkout process in the pharmacy was super smooth and the staff member even gave us a 5000 point reward bonus--whohoo! This store might be one of the cleanest Walgreens someone can possibly go to. It's very busy but everything looks organized and isn't confusing to pick out from the shelves. As holiday nears, I can understand the heavy traffic for the phones, but I guess some people are patient and others aren't. They don't answer phone calls at the pharmacy so don't waste your time calling.they had me on hold for 20 mins and I waited for "3 callers ahead of Me" as soon as it was my turn they picked up and put me right back on hold without even speaking to me. My boyfriend brought in a prescription for pain meds after having oral surgery at 4:00 pm. He was told it's take an hour. He went back an hour later and it still wasn't ready so he went home. We go back at 9:00 pm only for them to say it STILL wasn't ready because "they have to mix it, it contains ingredients that are over the counter, it's not covered by insurance and most customers don't want to pay for it." So basically they pushed his prescription to the side and de-prioritized it instead of filling it in the order that it was received because "most customers don't want to pay for it". And when we expressed the frustration, the pharmacy tech basically shrugged it off, saying "I filled it as fast as I could". If that were true it would've been filled at 4:00 pm when it was dropped off. And if he wanted to make sure we wanted it, simply call the customer. Most public service industries treat customers like crap because the service is necessary. People NEED medication. Pharmacist have many tasks throughout the course of there day. In my opinion there number one priority is to get your prescription and medication correct. Your health and well-being literally can hang in their hands if they make it incorrectly or give you the wrong one. The first thing that should've warned me was the unusual longline on the drive-through, I mean I can understand a couple of cars waiting because there's only one person in the drive-through that's understandable but when the line reaches almost out the block ? I thought to myself well maybe there's just a lot of sick people... So we go in and give the pharmacist prescription and clearly advise her, I only need two out of the three prescriptions. No problem she said, we leave grab some dinner come back in one hour, meanwhile the drive-through still looks like the Palmetto SR 826 at 5:30pm. So we arrived to the window we advise the pharmacist we received a phone call letting us know our medicine was ready we pay our cost we are handed our medication and we drive off it's a good thing we decided to check because we had totally received the wrong medication. wrong doses, wrong pills and we told her not to make the third prescription which she did either way. So I have to drive back we tell the pharmacist we got the wrong prescription the first thing out of her mouth is we are wrong...Really?!? Needless to say we waited another 10 minutes to get the right prescription and went our way. Happy it turned out well I guess. read more

Every time i take a written prescription they text me back saying there are "insurance issues" when I call back they run it again and it goes through but many times I have gone and the prescriptions are not ready. Staff is rude and overworked. Calling this pharmacy is a nightmare, you are lucky if by the third time you call after they hang up you are able to speak to one of the technicians. This Walgreen is by far the worst when it comes to the drive-thru. Almost every single time that I'm here to pick up, the wait is tremendously long for drive-thru. One time I waited almost 30 mins, yes, almost 30 mins! When it got to me the pharmacist said something happen with my prescription and that I need to go inside to talk to them. WTF? Okay... So I got inside and the pharmacist said my prescription is not covered by my insurance plan. That's fine...but I did one of these coupons thing that my doctor gave me for "just in case" if your insurance don't cover, you can use this coupon. BS! I filled out all my info with the coupon prior to going there. The pharmacist talked to the people that provided me the coupon and Walgreens still don't cover it. Pharmacy staff is the worst. They never answer calls, the phone rings and they ignore the sound. Why not just disconnect it and at least those present don't realize the awful costumer service they provide. They have no respect for the time lost trying to order your prescription. They take advantage of the fact it's open 24 hours, so they tell you to come late purposely so you either forget, or become someone else's problem. Had a prescription for my daughter sent to CVS by mistake. When I called to pick it up they told me they were not covered my her insurance plan but would gladly transfer the prescription to my neighborhood walgreens for me. 10 mins later the pharmacist from CVS calls me back to tell me that he transferred the prescription over to them and they told him that they didn't have it in stock but there was another Walgreens not too far that did so I needed to call them to get all the details. I call them right away and explain the situation and the pharmacist on the phone tells me "I don't know why he told you that because we have it processing right now and it will be ready at 9:45pm (it was 8:30pm) I call them at 10:30 and the automated service tells me that my order is out of stock but they ordered it and it will be there tomorrow?!?!? The service at my local walgreens is horrible. Not one manager is friendly there or knowledgeable of their policy. They had an issue with their register rewards program and i was told to call the company's customer service. You would think that a store that has been open this long would have intelligent staff. I shopped at this store on Sunday, went to the pharmacy to fill out a prescription, and returned 20 min to return the merchandise (unopened), and asked for a refund. The employee said the fastest way to get my money, would be to do post void, this way the transaction would not be posted. Guess what, it did post, when I checked my acct on Mon. So I waited 3 business days (today) and still no refund posted. I went to the bank and was informed that Walgreens is the worst of the local business's in issuing any kind of refunds, and normally take up to 5 days? I went back to the store, talked to a manager, and asked why the post void did not take effect, he simply said that a post void would take longer up to 5 days. Notice they say up to, but never mention that it could be less? I sent in a complaint to corporate, about the mis-information given to me by an employee. My wife called in my refilled at 9 am. on her way to work, when she stop by at 6 pm. to pick the refilled up they told her it would not be ready for another hour. Horrible! I really don't like writing bad reviews but this Walgree's on Pines and Douglas need some serious help! I have tried and tried to give them a chance but my prescription is never ready or they are out of stock. I waited on hold for 25 minutes only to be hung up on. I had to call back three times. absolutely NO apology. My text said that my prescription was out of stock, but when I talked to the manager he blamed my Dr. TOTAL LIE! after 48 hours they should have it in stock. I feel badly for some of the staff behind the pharmacy counter because it is not their fault and they are always friendly. I will no longer be giving them my business. I am also contacting Tricare about their contract with them. I never had a problem when we had CVS. My prescriptions have been screwed up 4 times so it is not like I didn't give them a chance. I was transferred 4 times. And even when transferred to the manager, he told me "I'm in the office and the answer you need is at the front. I'll transfer you". Was on the line over 10 minutes. This has been my local Walgreen's for so many years. The service is not the best but their location is very convenient. Never had to leave a good review and never had to leave a bad one until now. 2 weeks ago I bought 4 quantities of the same product at an Orlando store and did not need it 2 of them. Both of them in the original packaging and sealed. Unfortunately for me I lost the receipt but as per the Walgreen online policy it stated that if you loose the receipt you will be issue store credit. I went to the store tonight and went to the cashier (very lovely lady) and she told me I need it to see the manager which I had no problem. She started to call him and couldn't find him. She even left the register and walked around and no luck. After a while I saw a person at the photo department and I have seen him before and I asked her if that was the manager and she said, "oh yes, that is him, take the products over there and talk to him so he can do the return for you", which I comply. I went there and immediately I noticed Mr. M (Store manager) (no last name) was not a happy camper but I told him it was a return with no receipt. He told me to go back to the main register and he would help me there. He then scanned the product with a phone and told me that the product was not found, therefore Walgreen's does not carry the product (which I have bought at the same store before many times). I asked Mr. M if he can scan the product on the register and he looked at me and gave me very sarcastic smile (don't know why) and said, "yes I can" but I had to ask him again if he can scan the product. He did and immediately the system recognized the item with the original price I paid. I felt relieve as I knew I was not going crazy :). When he saw that the item was at the system, he told me that he need it to go back to the computer ????? and check something. I was, ok. After 10 minutes or so he came back and told me the item has been discontinued and he will have to give me full price of one and 1/2 price of the other one. I felt a little at odd since the item was in the system for the price I paid for and I asked him why. He immediately told me; "calm down, you don't have to be with an attitude", I was like, ok, this guy is trying to tick me off so he can have an excuse that I am the bad customer. Of course I was getting upset as he kept trying to tell me that the policy of that store was that, if you don't have a receipt, you get full price of one and 1/2 price of the other one. At that time I was getting upset and told him that I guess I will take my business to another brand of pharmacy including all my prescriptions and he was like, ok, that is the store policy. I really was now upset with this Mr. M and asked him for his name and he showed me his name tag and I asked him who his boss is and told me the name. I asked him to let me use his pen and he looked at me, gave me a grin and told me NOPE. He really was working hard to piss me off. He continued telling me to calm down and not to have an attitude. He was the one inciting me for me to loose my posture which he was able to achieve. He then told me again that the policy was no receipt full price of one and 1/2 of the other one. I told him, ok, then I will return one only so you can issue me full credit. He looked at me and said, sure. I put the box in the counter with an attitude and he told me, "you see, you do have an attitude, you didn't have to slam the box so hard". I did not slammed the box that hard but I was already upset. Walgreen is very overpriced already for the manager to try to take 1/2 of the money you already paid because you lost your receipt. I will take all my prescriptions to another brand and never set my foot on that store again. I don't understand why people treat customers like it is our obligation to use their stores. The problem is that since they are so big, one customer leaving will not make a difference to them. read more
