CVS Pharmacy - Pharmacy Near Me - Midlothian, Virginia

Wow! I can only refer to this particular CVS because this is what I found to be the case at this location. However, I have to figure this is a widely spread practice, probably not just at CVS. On our way home late at night we often stop here to pick something up as a snack. My husband and I wanted ice cream, the kids wanted a candy bar (I got 2). At home I was about to open the sealed bars for the kids and noticed that the folded flap on the back (where you lift to see the expiration date) on one of the bars was NEATLY TRIMMED OFF (the other one was fine). It was nice and flat as usual so un-noticed when you picked it up in the store, but when you go to open it you can see someone took (probably a pair of scissors) and neatly trimmed that fold that runs the entire length of the bar off. REALLY ? I guess I should not be surprised because greed (as much profit for the seller of anything); quality (shrink the sizes with less product for more money); supply as little service as necessary to move products with consumers serving themselves, etc. play a huge part in absolutely everything we buy these days. But, this has to be illegal. Take care and carefully check everything before you buy, including every nook and cranny of all packaging, and leave nothing to chance. Oh my God. horrible horrible horrible horrible. I went to pick up a prescription the pharmacist told me that I filled it in Maryland. I don't know where he got that information from because it was incorrect. They don't answer the phone either, they must have their ringer off because they do not answer the phone. I think that they are dangerously incompetent. It takes a level of competency to dispense medication. They are not just selling overpriced junk and cleaning supplies. They are a pharmacy. They are not a 7-Eleven. 7-Eleven go ahead and sell stale Twinkies but when you're dispensing medication you have to have your pharmacy running properly. I will most likely file a complaint with the board that oversees Pharmacy's. And make sure that they comply with all of the rules and regulations that they are required to because CVS is not. read more

Updated I left this pharmacy to go to Publix pharmacy across the street night day . I had just come from the emergency room because I had a serious face infection in both eyes and my left face and I went in to get my medication and the rep goes. I'll be with you in a minute and then he continues to fill prescriptions and I'm standing there in agony at 71 disabled year old man so I say I need my medication. Why can't you fill it and then an arrogant manager gets involved and starts elderly abuse I told him to kiss my derrière annd he responds you can kiss mine unbelievable after I got my prescription. This was the third time in less than 2 month they did this to me they don't treat people that walk in for their prescriptions like they're human. They treat us like pieces of meat, so I transferred all my prescriptions after I got an email from their incompetent district manager, apologizing and asking for my phone number, so we could chat and he never called me back now I'm with Publix pharmacy. It's like night and day I walked in. I picked up my medication. I walked out and under a minute I suggest everybody transfer cvs company is a joke and shouldn't dispense. drugs . First of all, closing every day is stupid. Second of all, I went to CVS to pick up a script and I got there in the drive-thru at 1:25, NOT KNOWING they closed at 1:30. There were 2 cars in front of me and no cars behind me. As I was pulling up to the window, this girl shut the gate. I tapped my horn to be like "hey i was here before you closing, can you just get me the script real quick" this literally would have taken 2 seconds. She didn't come back so I kept honking a few more times to get there attention. No one came. That really pissed me off honestly because I could see them standing there working. So don't tell me you're closed and then keep working. Anyways, I decided to go in, and I basically said why don't you serve customers who were there before closing. And they kept ignoring me which pissed me off even more. So then the Pharmacist came out to go do something, wasn't even coming to help me. I told him the rules were stupid, referring to the closing. He refused to help me, he was still working, even though he was "on lunch" He even made phone calls to customers regarding their prescription. He even asked me if I had a job and if I took a break. Which I do, but any customer service/sales job I've ever had HAS SOMEONE COVER THE DESK. So I don't even know where he was going with that. Anyways, he was condescending, which I was heated at this point so I wasn't using my friendliest tone. Maybe i'm over reacting but any job i've ever had, if someone gets there before closing, even if it's the last minute, you still have to help them. I reported my experience to the BBB, I also called the CVS customer service line and the woman I spoke to was very wonderful and assured me that the expectation is to finish serving customers then close. Even in the drive thru. I then also submitted an experience claim thing on their website. I also moved all my prescriptions. read more

It is unfortunate that one rude employee can infuriate you so much that it causes you to write a review because usually I have a great experience with the Hull Street Pharmacy in Harbor Point. But when they tolerate rude behavior from one of their techs who hung up on me not just once , but twice , when I was merely asking a question, they are doing their customers a great disservice. As I was trying to explain a customer service experience, she interrupted me and said , ma'am, do you have a question? She is rude and inpatient and should not be dealing with the public. read more

Open back up to 24 hours and put people back in the pharmacy at lunch time. Closing everyday for lunch is ridiculous when you are a public facing healthcare partner. Every other healthcare company rotates employees' lunch breaks so that the patients are served and there is no downtime. Could you imagine an ER or ICU closing for lunch? Unheard of!!! Also, these early close times are not convenient to your partners in healthcare. I gladly call your competitor 0.5 miles away FIRST because they are always open, caring and a pleasure to talk to when I'm searching for in-stock medications for my patients. Thirdly, your pharmacy used to fill prescriptions that were "on hold" for due date, stock, whatever, once they became available to fill. No longer does that happen. Now, they wait for the customer to call irate because they are now out of medications that have already been ordered, just to be told that medication is still out of stock and they have to call the provider to send the prescription to another pharmacy because it's controlled and they can't transfer it internally in their system. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. If you have a secure system that can track allergy medication, you can track other substances and make sure they're not being overfilled or abused. CVS has completely lost it's ability to reasonably service the public. read more

I don't know where these negative reviews are coming from. I've been using this CVS for 20 years. I shop the store, I use the drive thru, I've used the minute clinic, I've never had a bad experience here. The drive thru Rx staff are always prompt, polite, answer my questions. The store staff are friendly and help me when I need it. Look.....every retailer is suffering from staff shortages these days. Maybe if these Debbie downers showed a little kindness, they'd get kindness in return. I love this CVS. read more

Never try calling this pharmacy- you will never get an answer. When you walk in there are always at least 15 calls on hold and none of the pharmacists can be bothered to answer. If you go through the drive through, be prepared to wait for 30+ minutes, even if you are the only person in line. They hire incredibly inexperienced people who don't care at all about their jobs. I have had multiple, horrible experiences with the pharmacists there trying to sell me more expensive, name brands of drugs when my doctor specially sent the generic brand over because it's cheaper. I will not be returning to this CVS. read more

This has to be the most deplorable pharmacy in the Richmond area. The turnover of staff is such that you are ALWAYS dealing with a trainee being supervised by a trainee so the likelihood of getting you prescriptions filled by the date and time promises is slim to none. They all look like they are overwhelmed. I just went to pick up a prescription that they have been filling for me for over 10 years. The brand new pharmacy tech said they need all kinds of new information about my insurance. Everything about my insurance is current, I provided them with a copy of my insurance card but they wanted different information (what they asked for was clearly on the insurance card). They are rude and unprofessional--but I guess when you have that level of staff turnover, the only things that matter are they showed up for work, have a pulse and are breathing. We have been using this CVS location for years and years. I have to say that the continued disappointment with the pharmacy staff this year has been overwhelming. To highlight just a few: 1). After filling an rx came back and discussed with the pharmacist that the pills were different from last fill and didn't sit well with me. So the pharmacist said oh yeah these were filled with a different manufacturer but I can order and refill it for you with the preferred brand but I can't refund the wrong one. Ok so this is fixed right? Nope! next refill same thing happens and I ask the question and the response from the clerk is oh yeah I see you have a specific manufacturer on file. We used another in stock brand instead. Had to have yet another conversation with the pharmacist. 2). When waiting to speak with the pharmacist after calling several times and no one picking up the phone I casually mentioned to the pharmacy tech I tried calling several times and no answer and she looks at me, then behind her and says well uhhh we've been busy with an attitude. 3). The exact same thing happened again that is my original complaint with this location this week. I'm done with CVS at least this location. My suggestion is try somewhere else, anywhere else even the big blue box at least they have a reason sorta to not be attentive I mean that's not their exact business ya know a drug store/pharmacy ‍ read more

My CVS experience tonight was the worst I've experienced in over 20 years of customer loyalty. I called in for a refill that I'm out of and they said it was on back order. I was told they could not tell me when it would be filled, no other CVS's had it in stock, and to have my doctor call it in to another pharmacy! Manager here was incredibly rude. I came here to use a coupon that specifically said "cannot use at self checkout." She looked at me like I was senile when I asked if there was someone to check me out as I had a coupon. She was mind blown, but continued to check me out. Then insisted I lift each item over the plexi glass instead of her grabbing them (what? Lmao.) Then was perplexed by a coupon- which didn't work. She didn't know why- how- or what to do to make the coupon work. I asked if a manager was here and she said it was her- wow... please find people who enjoy customer service. We've used this CVS location for over 15 years and it has progressively gone down hill. The original reason I chose this location was that it was a 24 hr pharmacy, which is needed when you have small children. Well over the last few years the wait hold times on the phone to speak to someone have gotten out of control, the drive thru lines extremely long/slow. Now you can't find Covid testing appts anymore like you were able to, the last 2 years. Today I just had enough. I dropped off a rx yesterday and was told I could pick it up this morning. Went back around 5pm today in the drive thru to pick up the rx and the tech said she'd expedite filling it bc it was not filled yet. So I didn't complain and showed them some grace. I went back at 9pm and now the pharmacy is closed. New hours are 8am-8pm on Saturday/Sunday. WHAT!!! When did this location stop being a 24 hr pharmacy ? Why wouldn't the tech mention this? And why would they do that, during a "pandemic". read more

Have Norovirus so throwing up constantly. Waited for an order under priority. Was told it would be 10-15 minutes and it was 50!!!! I just got done with an IV drip because I was severely dehydrated and now I feel atrocious again because I wasn't able to go home and rest right away. read more
