I came to pickup my prescriptions and thought I might go in and get a few things but the front of this store is always full of beggars. It's dirty outside and in. The manager obviously doesn't take any pride in his store. I'd rather sit in that long, long drive up RX window than pass through the group of vagrants they allow at the entrance. CVS will waste your time whether you're in the drive-through or inside picking up medication. Expect to wait for about 35-45 minutes to pick up medications. You will get a notification that your medications were ready for pick up and by the time you get there, you will be waiting for a minimum of 35 minutes. They will tell you that your medications are not yet ready for pick up or on hold BUT THEY DID NOTIFY YOU THAT YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS ARE READY FOR PICK UP. DON'T GET YOUR MEDICATION FROM CVS. You will not get your medications on time and will have to wait for hours! Plus, their pharmacist techs are rude! read more

Where do I start? This is the most poorly managed store. It is filthy inside but especially outside. I avoid going there at all costs. There are exactly 2 carts but there were none until I complained. I asked for a basket since they didn't have carts. They give me one but it was broken. Selection is pathetic. I have never seen the manager though I hear they have one. Other CVS stores are nothing like this one. I can't understand how this store is so overlooked. It's an embarrassment for Merced. read more

The pharmacy staff is sub par. There are a few great pharmacy techs, but I keep getting new people who don't seem to care about customer service. The Rx labels are unreliable. It may say you have 3 refills, but really there are NONE. Their automated system is stupid and tells you that you can pick up your refill at 1p.m., but when you show up for it, they tell you you were out of refills. This makes no sense when EVERY OTHER TIME you order a refill and there aren't refills, the same automated system tells you they will need to contact your prescriber. Every other Rx we have in this house counts down to zero (0) refills except my son's eye medication. When I suggested they let CVS corporate know there is a fault in there system, the super unhelpful pharmacy tech told me she'd give me the number so I can call and complain. Booked a COVID-19 booster online. Showed up for my appointment 15 minutes early as requested. Waited in the pharmacy for 45 minutes only for the pharmacist to tell me he's "not vaccinating people under age 60". He literally just made up his own rules, disregarding CDCs guidance to boost everyone over 6 months old. What a waste of my time. Amazingly fast in each one of my 2 visits. They called me to let me know that my meds were ready not even 10 minutes after my doctor sent the prescription. The reps at the pharmacy counter were kind, fast and simply GREAT. Purchased a couple things from the store area and everyone was kind! You could feel their smiles through their masks. They are all nice and all but getting the run around over 2 prescriptions sucks. I just had a vasectomy and was told one med wont be filled unless I drive there to give them my insurance card. So I do and was told it will be done in an hour. Then I get an email saying I'll receive it tomorrow. I was literally told by them it will be filled in an hour. This absolute mess of a CVS has the most incompetent Pharmacy I have ever experienced. My doctor's office has been in communication with them for over a week about my prescriptions and STILL I'm without them because this pharmacy cannot figure out how to fill a plastic bottle with the proper medications. After waiting in a long line for nearly half an hour (seems to be the normal, the back office looks extremely unorganized and dysfunctional) these empty skulls bring me a bag filled with a random medication from my history that I haven't even been taking for nearly two years now. Worst pharmacy ever. I have had to deal with them twice and both times it was bad. They make up their own policies that override doctors and insurance companies. Their policies are unreasonable like expecting you to pick up your medication on an exact day and won't give it to you a day earlier or later. Great Customer service! I have not been inside to a CVS in years. Only priscription drive thru. I decided to buy some beauty products that where on sale. As soon as we walk in Heather the cashier with a big smile greets everyone that walks in. It felt as i was known by her. As i started to glance at things, Frank aproches us to ask if we needed any help finding anything. I was like wow this real customer service and make you feel as you are treeted with Royalty service. Now i shop there weekly thanks to these two reps. Also i have met Leticia such a super sweet employee too. Kudos to all these employees and CVS training at this location. This CVS is an absolute joke. I put in an order online to have a poster printed on Saturday 8/14/21 for a same day pickup. The earliest available pick up was listed as 10:00am the next day, a tad inconvenient but nothing too bad. I show up at 10:15 am, Sunday, 8/15/21, and ask about my poster. There's no one covering the photo desk so the two cashiers start scrambling about looking for my poster but eventually tell me that "The printer was having trouble last night and now its out of paper and we don't know how to load it, our photo-guy comes in at 1:00pm today so please come back then. I ask what are the chances I can get my poster at 1:00 and I am told "very good". I return at 1:03pm that day and speak to a man name Steve. I ask him about my poster, he tells me that "the printer is out of ink, a new cartridge wont arrive until next Thursday". At this point I'm rather annoyed that my poster has been delayed three times, the final being a week and a half later. Then this employee has the gumption to ask me "Does that sound fair?" Tell me, Steve, if a same day order you placed got delayed by a week and half would you be thinking yeah this is fair? I decide to leave, as there's literally nothing else I can do about this, go to my friends birthday party with no present to give her. Today, Monday, 8/16/21 I receive both a text alert ( as I signed up for this upon placing the order but also received no notification via text that my poster would be delayed at all) as well as an email saying: My poster is ready! At this point, however, I'm quite skeptical. So I call CVS to confirm. I inquire about my poster for the third time in two days and Leticia informs me "It's been printed but it needs to be cut and we don't have the tools to cut it." And I have now reached my breaking point. It is painfully clear that the employees I've been working with have absolutely no clue what they are doing. I fail to see how a printing department can be out of paper, ink and scissors in rapid succession over the course of two days. I am infuriated that I had to attend a party without a present. I don't even see why I bothered providing both my email and my phone number as a means to be contacted but received nothing about these delays, and when I finally did get notified it is also not even ready! My only comforting thought about this experience is that I have not paid for this poster yet and I don't see why I should give this establishment even a penny. read more

Pharmacy is a joke. Cvs is partnered with my insurance to cover flu shots. They stated that my insurance doesn't cover the flu shot. Spoke to my insurance and they stated they need to bill as a medical claim. The rep from my insurance called and spoke to the store. After 10 mins she stated the pharmacy is refusing to bill correctly. She suggested to visit a different pharmacy location as she said they don't know what they are doing. I suggest you check your RX. They gave my 22 year old liquid form and my 6 year old horse pills antibiotics the uneducated tech tells us "why don't you just crush them?" Wth???? What do you want me to do go get my hammer twice a day and crush them on my counter and put them in applesauce??? It would taste super nasty. Yea he will take the meds HE NEEDS???? FIX IT!!! Also they forgot to give my 22 year old her zpack (antibiotics). Smh. So bad. They responded oh it was at the bottom. Didn't see it. WTH??? I'm an RN of 19 years & we knew we were supposed to get the zpack. Any other person may have just left with alllll the wrong meds. Also in the beginning the guy who ran my insurance said my 6 year old wasn't on it just my daughter so I went and made 3 different phone calls too be told he ran it all through once again WTH???? I have had nothing but issues since the new cvs BY the mall has changed management and location. I sat on phone for 19 minutes on hold for pharmacy...nothing new...until I hung up and called manager ( Frank). He stated he would go help them and my call would be picked up. I hung up again at 9.37 minutes. Seriously? I understand it is lunchtime but scheduling knows it is a busy time. I do not know why they do not have all hands on board at the busiest times. They can stagger their own lunches around the busiest hours. Their app that texts me my scripts is incomplete so i have to call to verify. I am thinking that CVS has the same mindframe as Walgreens. "People are going to need their meds so they will have to put up with our bad customer service". Bring back the small private owned pharmacies that have been put out of business by big corporate entities who dont give a dang. read more

The other day I went in to pick up my prescription and the pharmacist was very rude. There were 3 workers behind the counter and one man waiting in line, in front of me. He stated he had been waiting a while. When someone finally called him up, the lady was extremely rude and looked highly annoyed to be serving this man. When she helped me she continued to scowl at the man who was leaving. The other workers continued to talk amongst each other. While one of the workers helped complete the check out process she made the comment "I hope the next lady knows that I see her in line and will help her next". Overall, it was an extremely uncomfortable situation and it also felt very racially biased. I hope your employees can learn to set aside their feelings, whether they're having a bad day or not, and treat ALL costumers with respect. The staff are nice, but whoever they've hired recently has no clue what they're doing. I've been coming here since they were Longs, but I will be trying Walgreens now. They change the brands of the medications frequently based on what's in the warehouse and they've messed up on DOSAGES MULTIPLE TIMES!!! I don't trust them anymore and neither should anyone else. Consistently bad service. I've had a handful of techs help me and they all seem to hate their job. Robbie was extremely rude. Bad attitudes and they don't try to hide wanting to get off of the phone with you. So sad especially with how new this pharmacy is. Please give them a team building lesson or hire a whole new staff. If you want to wait in 3 different lines, come here. Also, they won't check your insurance correctly so you'll have to come back and wait in line again to get receipts to submit to your insurance. If you want to do anything other than pick up, don't wait in the drive thru or at the pick up lines, even tho the other line says "drop off" that is the line for insurance. Switching to Walgreens, where I only ever have had to wait in 1 line. read more
