When I called about my prescription, pharmacist was not helpful. I obtained confirmation of authorization from my physician & medical coverage provider. I then went to pick up my prescription & was told it would be ready in 10min...45min later it still had not been filled but the pharmacist I inquired with finally filled it for me. Understaffed, miscommunication, unorganized, or higher priorities, whatever the reason it would've been good to be given better service. read more

The pharmacy staff, especially the pharmacists will try to help you out whenever they can. This store does get really busy due to the high volume from outpatients coming out of the hospital and due to the fact its open 24 hours. The pharmacy is conveniently placed in the same plaza as Albertsons and several other eateries making it convenient to drop off a prescription while shopping for other things while they are filling the prescription. The one downside is that the store doesnt always have the advertised sale items which is really annoying, causing me to drive to another CVS. read more

So, just switched my prescriptions here from the Walgreens up the street (see my review of them) and am MUCH happier. This store is bright and clean and has tons of cool stuff. The pharmacy area is welcoming and efficient. Even has a spacious area to sit if you're going to wait for your meds. The pharmacist was very nice (the graveyard guy) and helpful and professional, pleasant and polite. Other employees were also friendly and courteous. Offered to be helpful without being overbearing. Selection of stuff was great, good brands, etc. Most importantly, I feel like I can worry less about opening my bag of cheetos and finding a syringe inside it. Overall, less ghetto than the walgreens which is like a block away. read more

Rude workers. First I called was on hold fo 20 min and got hung up on. Came in store where I was the only one in line, one guy was on the phone the other was doing something idk didnt even acknowledge me, waited 5 min till guy was off the phone then he said I had to go to the drop off line because the pick up line was only the Register, LIES!! Then he said I had to wait 15 min and I did, then I walk up to the "cash register" but he asks me for my name and birthdate......i thought that was only a cash register?? That's probably cause your a liar! So I give it to him expecting my prescriptions to come out a basket, nope he was digging for them. Cause they were already ready like I suspected!!! Okay, so I don't actually get my prescriptions filled here, but I just wanted to leave a good review because of how kind and helpful one of the pharmacists has been. Without getting too specific, I needed help with a medication-related problem that I was freaking out about, and it was late at night so I couldn't call my own doctor. I looked up local 24 hour pharmacies so I could find an expert to talk to...the pharmacist on duty at this CVS stayed on the phone with me even after I told him that I don't go there to get my medicine. He gave me advice on what to do and explained how my medicine worked so I could understand all the different options. I got off the phone feeling relieved and much less stressed out. Whoever that pharmacist was, thank you! I feel a lot better about my situation now. read more

Horrible customer service. I tried to use the drive thru. They said my prescription wasn't ready so to wait in the parking lot for 15 minutes. I did.. went back 15 minutes later and the person at the window looked at me annoyed and said "your prescription isn't ready, go back to the parking lot" . I kindly asked her how much much longer and she just walked away without an answer. They aren't even helpful with something as simple as picking up a prescription. Pick a different cvs for even your most basic prescription needs. Waited over 30 minutes total for a prescription that should have been ready already. read more

I've had too many bad experiences with this pharmacy that the only reason why I've gone more than once is because it's the closest one to me. I tried picking up my prescription and they didn't want to release it to me due to "my insurance" but as soon as I went to the CVS pharmacy in bellflower they had no issues with the prescription and told me that everything was fine with my insurance. Kim the pharmacist is really rude and you'd expect that she'd be able to politely explain to you the issues but instead she yells at you through the phone. read more

The pharmacy has really bad service. They don't call you or let you know if the prescription has a problem being filled. I take anti rejection meds and when i tell them it is very important that i have them they're like whatever about it. Any other pharmacy would give some meds till the issue is fixed. A lot of the employees have really bad customer service they don't even greet you when you pull up to the window. read more

Everyone at this pharmacy is horrible.. I've been here 3 times in the last 2 months and no one seems like they are happy. When you go to the pick up window they act like you are bothering them. Sadly this is close to my home. I recommend the staff aside from linah and loc be terminated. I swear Yelp should let you give zero stars I hate coming here but its closest to my house and when you have cancer u dont want to travel far. This was the friendliest CVS I have been to in so long! Someone greeted me instantly as I walked in and another helped my find what I needed. The cashier was helping someone that was going to take longer than usual so she called another employee over to cash me out at a different register. Usually I go to rite aid or Walgreens for my Meds but they were all closed when I received my prescription so I tried this pharmacy and told me I need a different medical card when I've used this medical card everywhere else and worked fine?!?!?!?! I was told it would take 20 minutes. 20 minutes later I was told it would take 15 minutes. 15 minutes later I was told it would take 2 minutes. 15 minutes later it took five minutes to finish. Went through the automated process to order a refill, told refill ready for pickup. Following day when picking up blood pressure meds was told that oops they were out of this drug and wouldn't have any more for another three days . I shouldn't be surprised they are comically dense in the pharmacy . Despite my resolve not to bother calling Tom I left another message because if I can have this many problems the odds are that others are too. On Sat Sept 3 I travelled to Long Beach on vacation. I accidentally left my rescue inhaler in Conn.I want to thank the 2 employees who worked that afternoon when I purchased my rescue inhaler. I was denied by my insurance since it was way too early. The staff encouraged me to call my insurance later as I had to pay quite a bit for my med. The insurance just reimbursed me about two thirds. Avoid like the plague! The pharmacist has poor language skills, I mean very poor. I went to the dermatologist, and got prescriptions for a bad impetigo infection. I really needed the meds. I went to the closest CVS. I gave them the script. The staff was pretty rude on taking the order. I was asked to wait for 40 minutes. Over an hour later, I was told that there was some problem with the prescription, and I would have to wait until my doctor was contacted. Another hour goes by. The pharmacist then tells me that there is a discrepancy in the prescription. It says 60 pills. It also directs the patient (me to take 2 pills per day per week). She flips out and tells me that this is a serious discrepancy, and she has to talk to the doctor and document the very serious discrepancy. I decided to gently express my feelings toward her unprofessional conduct and parroting of the phrase "I must document." So I wait another hour. They are unable to contact the doctor on a Friday afternoon. Sigh. No prescription. I ask for the prescription back, so I can go elsewhere, the answer is no. WTF, meaning Why This Friday? Monday morning. I get a call from my doctor. He expresses concern over the competence of the pharmacist. I quote: "It's only an antibiotic, not Oxycontin." read more

Negative stars is more appropriate. The ONLY reason I come here is b/c my insurance company (AETNA) bought them, but sadly I did again and aged while in the drive thru. There are two lanes & apparently I picked the one that they hated. That lane is clearly marked "Drop Off Only" and an exacerbated began w/ asking me if I was there to drop off or pick up. Thinking that she must have been exhausted of people doing I wrong, I chipperly proclaim "Drop off please" only to be met w/ rude, obviously tired grunts. Then she disappears. Literally. I think she went on break. I don't know, just poof, gone. I push the call button. Crickets. Repeat. Another car pulls up in other lane and she reappears. Deals w/ them, then another behind them. I've still gotten zero response such as "come back, we got them" ... nothing. Finally after the other lane is empty and my prayers that no one pulls up again are answered, she says they're out. Period. So when do you think you will be in-stock? Tuesday, take your Rx back. "Oh, can you hold it and fill once available(?)" sheepishly I ask. No. On & on rude service goes. I end up at Walgreen's across the street and will pick up in 30 minutes. And will from now on. :( read more

Came to pick up medicine and the person I dropped off my prescription with did not update my insurance info after I showed her a copy of my insurance. The guy whom I came to pick up the medicine simply told me I need to call my insurance company because I was not covered so I called and my insurance had to call them and of course I was covered. After my insurance called cvs they told me 20 more minutes after I already waited hour and 30! Horrific service I'm sticking to Walgreens for sure. read more
