I would like to recognize the outstanding care and professionalism shown by Mrs. Armelle, the Pharmacy Manager at the CVS Pharmacy located at 13320 Laurel Bowie Road. On May 8, 2026, I received a call from Mrs. Armelle checking on my well-being after a recent change in my medication. She explained that she knew I had been taking the medication for about a week and wanted to see how I was doing. During our conversation, I informed her that I was experiencing serious side effects, including dizziness and feeling light-headed. Mrs. Armelle immediately advised me to contact my doctor for further instructions. I am extremely grateful that she took the time to reach out. Her concern and attention to my health may have prevented a much more serious situation. In today's world, this level of kindness, compassion, and dedication to patient care is rare. It meant a great deal to me and reminded me that there are still healthcare professionals who truly care about their patients. We need more pharmacists like Mrs. Armelle. No line at the Pharmacy Quick & easy. They are also well staffed behind the pharmacy counter, so this is a plus. Staff always very pleasant here. The manager is the greatest and knows everyone that comes in. Wasn't shopping for food but they do have snacks only here. This location is always neat & clean. read more

I always have a wonderful experience at this CVS location and it was all thanks to the Store manager who helped me out. She went above and beyond helping me use the self checkout and then on the register. She patiently helped me use my coupons and never lost her friendliness. She has always been a very friendly and nice person everytime I have been in this store. read more

Located in a very narrow shopping center! The parking is tight here. Was nearby and needed a few things. Employee, Keith, was very helpful. He was the only one I saw around. I found what I needed and proceeded to the self check-out. I had some coupons I planned to use and Keith assisted me in getting checked out!! read more

The pharmacy staff does not smile, is slow, and is terribly unfriendly. I picked up some medication recently and the employee just grunted and stared at me instead of asking me how she could help. The store is quite busy at the pharmacy even during the day on a weekday. Go where your business is appreciated and you're met with a friendly greeting, not here you are burdening the employees by simply picking up a prescription. read more

This Cvs is very unprofessional specifically the pharmacy i ordered my medication to be delivered and it has been an hour (it said it was on the way to me). i called them and they hung up on me so i called back the lady literally told me no one has came to pick it up and it has nothing to do with cvs. this is very unprofessional and i need my medicine for my pain. they already charged me for the delivery and won't refund me and won't accommodate me. don't come here and don't order your prescriptions here. i'm in so much pain and they aren't helpful at all. read more

Why does it smell like garbage?! It's like they turned up the AC to cover up the smell but you can still smell something rotten in here! It's disgustingly outdated and dank. I get a flu shot every year, usually from a drugstore. I found that this CVS's covid practices made me uncomfortable and concerned - and they seemed very inefficient. I expected a pharmacy to better follow covid practices. The customers in the store did a better job with masks than the employees/workers. Details below. 1) I made an appointment online, days in advance, thinking it would help them prepare, be ready, and reduce the need for filling out paperwork. Making an appointment for flu shots is encouraged on the homepage of the CVS app as well. 2) I get there, tell them I have an appointment, and they look at me like I'm crazy. Asking me "When was your appointment" and "When did you submit the appointment request". And all those questions and signatures I filled out online ? "Those don't make it to our system. Here is a clipboard with the SAME EXACT questions and signatures that you already answered online.". Goody. I get to touch their communal clipboard and pen as well. I'm sure those are well sanitized and not a covid risk (sarcasm...) . 3) I was blown away to see the head pharmacist improperly wearing her mask ! There were 3 people behind the counter, what I imagine was 2 assistants and one head lady. The lady is literally typing, touching documents and medication, and speaking with customers (including me) with a mask on her chin. Only her mouth was covered - her nose was not. I watched it be like that for the whole 40 mins I was there. I saw exposed nostrils many times. I think either the mask was too big, or she was wearing it too low, or not tightly enough. She fixed it before giving me the flu shot because I motioned/looked towards it and asked her to correct it. She touched her mask, which she had been breathing on the outside of for who knows how long - and gave me the shot. Insanity. I was thinking more about the shot and less about how dirty her hands were after touching the improperly worn mask - I should have asked her to clean her hands again. How can the pharmacist ADMINISTERING FLU SHOTS not be wearing her mask properly, and be so non-nonchalant about adjusting it? 4) There was a worker on a 20 ft ladder directly in the center of the pharmacy counter, working on the ceiling. And hey - maybe it was indeed an urgent enough repair to block off 60% of the pharmacy counter during a global pandemic - where pharmacies are hot spots for life saving meds and flu shots. But - the issue is this dude is on a 20 ft ladder, talking on the phone, breathing heavy, etc - without a mask ! Literally spewing germs on everyone and the pharmacy counter below. Do people not release that 1) physical activity increases breath rate, and airborne germ transmission and 2) If you elevate someone, their germs are assisted by GRAVITY in sprinkling on everyone and everything below. It's like they were aiming for maximum transmission risk. Did he put his mask on when he got off the ladder? Sure. Nice. Thank you. But wear it while you on the ladder too if any patrons are within spitting distance - jeez. But - hey, I got a flu shot. However honestly - this experience at the pharmacy was probably my highest covid risk event in months. It would be pretty awful if I was exposed to covid during a flu shot appointment because of lax policies. This is life or death - and they were failing to do the easy things right. I post this so patrons can be warned, and these items can be corrected. Maybe the workers need more training, a reminding of current policies, and/or are just overworked and letting their standards lapse. Either way - we need pharmacies to do better than this. read more

Overall the store is convenient with the location and business hours. I have had a few issues (not too many) where i will go in the morning and the pharmacy section hasn't open even though it is past the posted opening time. My biggest issue with this CVS is the amount of loitering in front of the store (mostly during the summer months). It really makes you second guess if you want to bypass the riff-raff to take care of business. The staff is always pleasant and you are always greeted with a warm hello. read more

This location is great because it's so close to my home. Nothing spectacular, it has those items that I can grab instead of having to drive to the grocery store. I have filled a couple of prescriptions here also and the service and speed of having them filled was great. Just wish they were a 24 hour location though. read more

I called around 2pm to place the order for my prescription, and I was told that it would take up to an hour for it to be ready. I go to the store at 10pm, waited at the Pickup line for 10 minutes, and then i'm told that I could not pickup my prescription because my health insurance information needed to be updated. So I am sent to wait at another line. I wait for another 10 minutes, even though there was no one in front of me, to finally be attended. After checking in all of my information, I am told that they were out of the prescription and wouldn't have it ready until Monday. Why didn't anyone call me to let me know? Why didn't the girl check first to make sure that it was ready so that I wouldn't have wasted my time giving them all my information for a prescription that they didn't even have in stock? I ended up going to the Giant Pharmacy instead. read more
