I rarely desire leaving negative reviews, but my experience with this CVS Pharmacy has been incredibly frustrating. I have now been without my prescribed medication for over a week due to poor communication and inconsistent information from the pharmacy. Earlier this week, I spoke with the pharmacy manager, Koy, who was kind, professional, and explained that the only issue preventing my prescription from being filled was prior authorization from my insurance. I even provided my cell phone number so I could be contacted if anything changed. Instead of being notified, I later learned there was an entirely different requirement that had never been communicated to me. Had I been informed, I could have contacted my provider immediately instead of waiting over a week under the impression that only the prior authorization was outstanding. What was most disappointing was the way I was treated by another pharmacy employee. When I called with questions, I was immediately met with a rude tone, accused of having an attitude simply for asking for clarification when told there was no prescriptions under my name, placed on hold without answers, and ultimately hung up on after she refused to provide her name when I asked. As a patient, I don't expect perfection, I even expect a level of delay with prescriptions, but I do expect professionalism, clear communication, and basic respect. I want to recognize Koy, the pharmacy manager, because he was courteous and helpful throughout my earlier interactions. Unfortunately, my experience with another staff member overshadowed that positive interaction. I sincerely hope CVS addresses its communication process and reminds its staff that patients calling about their medications are often already stressed. However, the pharmacy not picking up the phones and not returning phone calls should be looked at from the corporate level. I don't blame the employees at this location. I was ignored at the pharmacy 12/19/25 5:15pm approximately, there were several people working, they never acknowledged me or said anything. I am ill and frustration and disbelief set in so I left and went to Walgreens. Nicer people, great customer service. I went to CVS because it was closer and for some reason my insurance always recommends CVS. CVS is awful! Ever since Luke left this pharmacy it has been awful. They lie to the customers nlaming their insurance company as to why a prescription is not being filled when it is the pharmacist. They do not order refills in a timely manner, so they run out of medication with their regular customers who pay them at least $200 a month in prescriptions. I have been with this pharmacy getting monthly prescriptions since 2018, getting the same pain management medications and since Luke left 3-4 months ago left they have changed pharmacists at least 6 times all with different protocals than what the DEA, the doctors and the insurance companies call for. They treat pain management patients like they do not want to fill their medications. and will not fill them in a timely manner. They will tell you to call back tomorrowfor days on end. Even before Luke was staffed there, the previous pharmacist were pretty decent and got to know their customers. They took time and read through the files. These new ppl are rude and treat you like you need them so be nice or they will find and excuse not to fill your medication. They can be days and sometimes weeks late on your medication, but if you are having transportation issues and need to pick up a day or 2 early on pain management meds, which the state, the doctor, the insirance company and the DEA allows....forget it!!! And they do not deliver pain meds. We really need a delivery service for this. Seniors have a hard enough time getting around, one would think whoever came up with these ridiculous changes they would have a delivery service. I truly feel bad for the pharmacists and the lead pharmacy tech. Having to deal with, no other way to say it, lazy, and incompetent Pharmacy associates. Whether it's giving customers the wrong information, being rude, not looking up the right information, not being able to spell common spellings of names, the list goes on. CVS is a billion $$ company and the store level employees are way underpaid... at least the competent ones are. To think that the pharmacy associates have control over elderly patients' medications and other vital medications to keep one's health from deteriorating is downright scary. It's not the pharmacist screwing things up. It's their "help." Their lack of empathy, understanding, and basic English should be cause for concern and I wonder how many times the non licensed staff they are audited, if ever. Awful Service, I had my clinic send the prescription 2x and each time they did not 'see' it on their end ...even though it was confirmed at 1:34 and I went around 3:30. I then had to call my office again to ask them to call as per the request of the CVS staff. I will never shop here again and transferring my prescription refill ASAP. read more

I really enjoy going to this CVS. Yes, it's out of my way, but theres a really sweet cashier that is on top of the couponing game and makes sure everything is correct. Although the stock may not be as heavy, so much in a little store can mean less stock, they generally have most of what I need. CVS, for one, increased the price of my medication like crazy. Prices and rates change, I understand. My issue is the drive thru, and discovering my medication's price increases another 300%. Naturally so, I asked the "tech" at the window, very friendly, "why the increase?" Way to put a Gen-Z CUNT at the window, snippy as hell, responding with "DO I LOOK LIKE I KNOW?!" I use this pharmacy monthly. I really believe the staff tries their best with customer service. In my opinion it seems most CVS pharmacies are under staffed including this one. Be careful of this pharmacy we had 2 doctors call in 3 different prescriptions at different times the past week for COVID-19. One for a nebulizer breathing treatment and the other for a z-pack and nebulizer breathing treatment for COVID-19. Suddenly the z-pack and the breathing treatment went MISSING!! This pharmacy claimed it was at a different CVS pharmacy! So, we drove 15 mins to the other CVS. ONLY for that CVS to tell us that this CVS imputed into their computer system, that "it was picked up...at THIS PHARMACY!" Stealing prescriptions for COVID-19 is not ok and a massive issue! The other prescription they just did not fill and did not follow up to tell us it was not filled. We needed it for breathing for my friend that I am caring for and we tested positive for COVID-19. The pharmacist actually had the nerve to tell us we could not get, a much needed breathing treatment, until MONDAY. My friend could be hospitalized dead by Monday without it. This is the issue with healthcare and pharmaceuticals right now in this extremely urgent and sensitive time. This pharmacy should be shut down and all the pharmacists at this location should loose their license. I will be researching where I need to report this pharmacy and pharmacist to make sure they do not continue with this malpractice. This is absolutely NOT the time to be wreckless, careless and not be on top of things. If you're going to be in that field right now it is one of the most important jobs in the country right now. I have had 2 prescriptions "never dropped off" and my mother had one prescription also "never dropped off." They then accused her of "dropping the prescription off then taking it back." My mother is 76 years old and they accused her of prescription fraud! My mother threatened to call the police and suddenly they "found" the prescription. What do all of these incidents have in common? All were controlled opiate prescriptions. I have since changed to Walgreens. They have their issues but stealing drugs isn't one of them. Last month a new pharmacist told me that they were being investigated and that's why she was assigned. I will never use CVS again. I recommend that you choose a different pharmacy. read more

It's convenient when I need it as it is on my route to and from work. It would have a higher star rating if I used it for my prescriptions, but there is another location closer to my home I use instead. It would have a higher star rating if it had a Minute Clinic. I've had to use the MC at a different location and it's wonderful to have those! Wish more CVS location provided the clinics. They occasionally have holiday clearance and I've found some really good deals once it's been reduced to 90% off. Service is friendly and efficient. The pharmacy here is AWFUL! They are very unprofessional! None of them seem to know what they are doing. I've had 4 MAJOR MISTAKES happen here and no actions are being made. TWICE now I have came to pick up meds and they state that I already picked it up. They supposedly looked at "cameras" to show me picking it up but nothing is found. Then when my psychiatrist resent the prescription, I went to pick it up and as soon as I pull up to the window, the cashier already knew my name and said "ohhh well, welcome back jean." ...then laughed! Now since those incidents, they are messing with my drop offs!!!!! I dropped off prescriptions and when I come back at the time they told me to....I get to window...and they say "oh, there's nothing here for you" acting like I didn't drop it off. THEY SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO TREAT CUSTOMERS THIS WAY!!!!!!! Thank God, the prescription that was "picked up" wasn't life or death BUT....I did go through withdrawals, fainting spells, and got really dizzy ....VERY SCARY!! I CANT BELIEVE PEOPLE WHO WENT TO SCHOOL FOR PHARMACY AND WANT TO HELP PEOPLE WHO NEED MEDICINE TO TREAT THEIR ISSUES WOULD TREAT PEOPLE LIKE THIS! The WHOLE PLACE should be SHUT DOWN!!!!! I have used this Pharmacy for numerous years and it has always been great - that is until recently. The last two times the filled an old prescription. This causes a major hassle with the insurance company who wants to pay as little as possible and refuses to fill the shortage without an act of congress. I am going to be short 7.5 pills a day on one of my medications due to this most recent screw up and it's not even worth the hassle to deal with it and I'll just suffer through it. It took me 3 weeks and several follow ups to get it straightened out last time. I am considering investigating other options. read more

I hate this CVS and will no longer be filling my prescriptions here, even if it is the closest place to my house to do so. I originally liked CVS because they let you refill your prescriptions online, but half the time when I come in to pick up the prescriptions, they tell me my prescription isn't eligible for a refill yet, completely wasting my time. They blame it on the web site people, saying they have nothing to do with it. Tonight their pharmacy closed early for Memorial Day, even though I checked their hours on the web site. Again, they blamed the web site people. I've now taken time out of my day twice in the last week to get my prescription and still don't have it. I'll be switching to the 24 hour pharmacy at the Walgreens down the street from now on. Oh, and one of their employees laughed in my face and then wanted to argue with me tonight when I was visibly upset about having to come in a second time to get my prescriptions and having them close up shop early. This CVS has given me the worst customer service experience in my life. I am allergic to most antibiotics so anytime I get sick there is only one I can take: Levofloxacin. It comes in pills but they taste horrible, insta-vomit in fact. The pharmacist says they have a metallic taste. I say bull, blood has a metallic taste and I have no issue with blood's taste but I'd rather suck on a penny or eat soap then take these pills. So, good news for my allergic self, my medicine comes in a liquid! I go to the doctor on Monday. Super nasty sinus infection. The Dr. even says "I don't need a light to see that," while looking in my nose and down my throat. Prescribes me a nasal spray and my antibiotic. I decide to give cvs a chance since my insurance has a merged plan through them. They don't have my meds in stock (typical for the liquid). When I ask if other stores have any the employee sounds irritated and says I can call the other stores. Strike one. They special order my liquid. Tuesday comes and I have had another awful night with pitiful sleep. I get a call from cvs around 2pm informing me that the wrong medication was delivered. The same guy from Monday is calling me and asks if I "would mind waiting another day" to get my meds. Yes! I do mind. I'm sick and only getting worse. He huffs at me on the phone says its the delivery people's fault then says he can call other stores...something that was IMPOSSIBLE on Monday. I never hear back from cvs. I wake up on Wednesday, no call from cvs. At 2pm I call them to see about my meds. The woman on the phone says its not ready yet. Might be another hour or at least ready by 5. Not once did any of these people say sorry for the errors occurring. I don't care much if the delivery people or the pharmacist or the assistant on the phone screwed up, you all represent the brand of CVS and if this is the way you act with customers, I'm surprised you're still in business. read more

The store is empty and I was in front of the register waiting for 10 minutes and one of the workers was literally next to me and didn't want to work. The employee had a upper lip piercing, and long hair, had a terrible attitude towards me literally threw the change back at me, and couldn't wait for the printing machine to print my receipt and "she or he, can't tell the gender" started slapping the machine like that would help. This is just one example: My doctor phoned in a stat prescription at 5:00 on a Saturday. No one answered, so he left it on voicemail. I called at 5:30 (they close at 6) to follow up. Half hour on hold; no one answered. The next morning I called at 10:30 (they open at 10). Half hour on hold; no one answered. I hung up and called the main store. It rang 42 times. No one answered. Again tried the pharmacy and waited 17 minutes then hung up. Ridiculous. Meanwhile I've been checking the app and it never showed up as being processed, which means no one ever checked the voicemail. read more

BEWARE, do NOT go to this pharmacy if you care at all about your meds and health. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Here's the full story: I've been a CVS customer for 8 years now. The CVS that I used to live by was alright, nothing special but they did their job. In September of 2020, I moved near the area and this was the closest CVS to me, so I changed to this location. Boy was that my first mistake. In October of 2020 (only about a month of having them as my pharmacist), I had an issue with one of my meds where I ran out and desperately needed them to function. I called my doctor and told them everything, they then told me they would get on the phone with the pharmacy and would try to get me emergency meds that day. What was going to be a couple hour process turned into a 5 day ordeal, as the pharmacy put my doctor on hold multiple times for 40+ minutes, and then lost my meds not once, but twice. I (in my naivety), decided that I would give the pharmacy a second chance and continued using them. Fast forward to today, May 2021, I have only had one or two meds refilled by them between today and October. I go to get my meds that I need for a medical procedure tomorrow, and the pharmacy tells me I have one med ready. I pick it up expecting it to be the med I need for the medical procedure, and it's not. What they didn't tell me, was that the medicine I need for the medical procedure is on hold because insurance won't take it (again, nobody told me this nor did I get a notification that it was on hold through texts or the app). I call my doctor and they tell me that they will call the pharmacy again to get it put in. I then call the pharmacy several hours later as this is a medicine that is time sensitive, and they tell me that it's still not ready. I waited for 45 minutes while they prepared the medicine, and I finally getting it after paying much more than this medicine is worth. I then get a call on the way home from the pharmacy from my doctor. The doctor told me that they had been calling CVS for SEVERAL HOURS, multiple times, and had been on hold the entire time. My own doctor could not get ahold of the pharmacy to tell them that I needed this medicine ASAP. I then try to call the pharmacy myself, get put on hold for 10 minutes after dealing with the awful automated CVS robot on the other side, only to finally get a pharmacist who quickly picks up the phone, says "hello?", then immediately hangs up. I won't be calling back, not again, not ever. It's sad because CVS pharmacy has always been my go to pharmacy for 8 years now. Unfortunately, this CVS on Buffalo and Vegas is the most ill-run pharmacy with the most uneducated and lackadaisical staff. Don't come here if you expect a pharmacy to get you meds on time. Don't come here if you expect a pharmacy to tell you the information you need to know about ALL your medications. Don't come here if you want your doctor to be able to get ahold of the pharmacy because I assure you, this location does not care about you, your doctor, or your meds. TL:DR; If you're a masochist who hates themselves, this CVS is the best one for you! read more

He walked me through signing up for the rewards (which I usually pass on) and I'll tell you; something about a kind smile and a warm soul really makes shopping worth while. I just moved over on this side of Vegas and have used a CVS years. I had to pick up some items tonight at CVS so I thought I'd stop by and interview the pharmacy to see if I should switch. That would be a HUGE NO! The tech seemed nice, and even the sales people and store manager seemed really nice but the pharmacist herself Brenda not so much. Both my daughter and I have quite a few prescriptions a filled each month and it's important to have a good relationship with the pharmacist. It's also important to have a pharmacist who will listen and be not judge or have a God complex. She did and has both. She has no interest in her patients, only that she does not get in trouble with the state although she has nothing to worry about since she only has to talk to our doctors and insurance company. I have ADHD and takes meds for it. I born with it. Can't help it. I was also hit by a car. Can't help that either and have been denied by my insurance left and right for procedures. They don't want to pay. I have to fight them for months and months to get anything done. I'm trying to tell her this and she cuts me off. She refuses to listen. I guess she is either the type of person that thinks people can live with very bad pain or can snap their fingers and demand the insurance to pay for anything. But regardless, she did not care. Then she acted like she would be doing me a favor by filling my prescriptions. I already have a pharmacist. It might be a bit out of my way, but I'd been going to the same one for over 5 years. No, she would bring in a HUGE amount of money to her store each month with my family. I don't need a condescending crabby woman that thinks she God and cares zero for the patients. it's hard enough the stigma we have on us, without the person who is FILLING the prescriptions putting an additional stigma on us as well. She needs to do her job and fill the prescriptions and make sure nothing is mixed up that we are taking. Stop being a judge and jury. read more

This review is specifically for their Pharmacy. They are AWFUL!!! They first say they never received my prescription, then they said they did but they said the doctor that prescribed the medication isn't licensed to practice in Nevada. They entered information incorrectly and were not owning their mistake. When I finally got clarification from the doctor, I called them back and was on hold for 45 MINUTES!!! This process took almost 5 hours to get resolved only for them to be closed at the end of it! Never going here again!!! Especially after talking to the manager and then saying they have been having a lot of issues with their pharmacy! Thank you to management for the honesty! And they recommended another CVS for us to go to they got the prescription and had it filled in 20 minutes. read more

I don't usually shop at this location on Buffalo and Vegas, but was passing by on Tuesday, September 28 and saw that they were giving Pfizer booster shots. I went to the window and was told I needed to make an appointment on line. I immediately went to cvs.com on my cell phone and made my appointment. I must say that it took me 3 tries before my appointment was confirmed, but that was not the fault of the store. When I returned to the window, JULIE assisted me. She made sure my appointment was confirmed, added additional information from my insurance and apologized that my appointment was an hour away. I told her that the wait was not a problem and it is that customers just don't want to stand in line and made to wait without being acknowledged or even to have someone say "I'll be with you in a minute". Julie was awesome and very easy to talk to. As it turned out, the Pharmacist (I didn't get his name) called me within 10 minutes and gave me my booster early. I didn't even feel the needle go in, he was so good. Even though the store is an older one and in bad need of a remodel, but it's the staff here that makes this store great.
