Well I have to say I feel like the lucky one!!! I just left the walk-in clinic and since this CVS is the only one open in South County they called my prescription in. I called CVS to verify if they had received and I would like to drive there now to pick these prescriptions up. The gentleman on the phone confirmed my last name and as I was going to say my first name... he said it and said they are filling this prescription now. I said GREAT I AM ON MY WAY!!! I had one person in front of me who was finishing and as I gave my information, they handed over my 4 prescriptions. So the backstory is... I flew in from a business trip and was feeling under weather- confirmed I have and ear infection and my my flight didn't help because the air pressure was killing my ears and along with that bronchitis. I was in and out of this CVS less than 5 mins- they had everything ready for me!!! As the cashier said- Great Teamwork Also I had to stop her 3 days before to pickup some item for my business trip at 3:00am and the gal that was working was friendly, addressed me when I can in! This is a 24 hour CVS that has always served me in my time of need, IE when you're in Irvine and need something late at night. This CVS has most quick personal care items you may need from tooth paste to Vitamins and more. A liquor, wine and beer section is also here for late night party stops! I personally like the store because I have never found it to be busy especially when I am usually stopping by there. It is also a centrally located CVS for us Irviners who jump over too! read more

This 24-hour CVS is a wonderful CVS all the managers are friendly as well as the staff. No matter how long the prescription may take for how long the line it doesn't matter to me because I really enjoy perusing the aisles with the lovely skin care options as well as the amazing dollar to $5 and sales which are always intriguing to me and you can find the best stuff there this CVS happens have a great selection. When it comes to pet food and pet products to CVS also has one of the best selections in town as well as best elections in town for hair care products for men and women. Stay Away! This has to be one of the worst pharmacies ever! I gave this place 3 chances and now I wont be coming back. The first time I came in with my husband and son to pick up some sun tan lotion before heading to Lego Land in San Diego. While I found the suntan lotion, my husband and son found their way to the snack asile to load up the car. I met up with my husband and son before heading to the front to pay and noticed an store employee following my husband and son. We paid for our items and headed to the car, while walking out my husband made a point to say that he thought the store employee was following him. I immediately told him I thought he must be mistaken but he insisted (we are an African American/mixed family). I brushed it off and to be honest never gave it a secone thougth. The second time I came to the pharmacy alone to fill a prescription. Now, this is a prescription which I fill on a monthly basis and is a controlled substance, anyways I take it to the pharmacy to fill, and am immeidatly given a hard time by the pharmacist. They inform me that they will need to call the doctors office to verify the prescription, even after they ran it thru my health insurance. Fine, do what you need to do, but I have never had any pharmacy do this before filling this prescription. The last and final straw was tonight...I came in to fill the same prescription again. Tonight I was told that they were not able to fill it because "I didn't live in the area" . I said "what are you talking about?" and the pharmacist said, "look, the doctor is in Newport Beach" and I said, "yes, my doctor has 2 offices, however I live in Irvine". I then pulled out my drivers license which showed my Irvine address. The pharmacist looked at it, and told the pharmacy tech "whatever, its fine, she lives in Irvine" and then walked away in a huff.... I don't understand what the problem is at this store. It always takes at least 30 minutes to fill a prescription, even though there are no fewer than 5 people in the pharmacy, the pharmacy techs and pharmacist are never helpful, and there is no sense of customer service. I will not be returning to this store, and will choose to use the Walgreens around the corner! read more

The most incompetent pharmacy around. I suggest Walgreens. CVS has tons of computer probs, and always lose prescriptions. I have monthly meds and they take a half hour to re-verify insurance and call me 3 times a month. I haven't had a change in my policy for 7 years, no drops in eligibility, etc. Don't expect any visit to go smoothly, I have yet to experience it. I have gone here because we moved across the street. Their pharmacy has the worst customer service of all time. I stood at the consultation window for over 10 minutes and no one helped me. Everyone was being assisted in the pick up line so I stood there. When I finally got to the front of the line, the woman told me she couldn't help me, and I needed to wait at the consultation window, where I just came from. So then I waited there. Finally a man came and helped me. When I asked him my question, he answered like I was stupid. Then sarcastically said "I can show you where they are if you need me to" as if I couldn't figure it out myself. Will never return! read more

I had a HORRIBLE encounter with Joanne, the CVS cosmetics clerk last week. I was looking at an OPENED NYX lip gloss on the shelf. Joanne ran up to me and, in a very shrill voice, said DID YOU USE THIS LIP GLOSS??!! I WILL HAVE TO THROW IT AWAY!! I CAN'T PUT IT BACK ON THE SHELF!! YOU CAN BUY IT AND RETURN IT IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT!! I tried to explain that the lip gloss was already opened and Joanne said I CAN SEE IT ON YOUR LIPS!! As if I was lying. People were turning their heads to look, she was yelling at me. I've never been SO humiliated. I went to the counter to pay for my purchases. I asked to speak to the manager. The clerk (Torie) at the counter said 'I'm the manager'. I expained to Torie, the alleged manager, what happened. Torie said NOTHING, she just rang up my purchases and handed them over to me. I've literally never in my life been treated so poorly by somebody working in customer service. Rich, the manager, was seriously unpleasant. To the point that I walked down to the other end of the shopping center, to Ralphs to purchase the items that I needed. Had to go to pharmacy for my son in the middle of the night. The staff and pharmacist were both quick and accommodating for the urgency of our situation. Apparently customer service does not exist at this store. I came in last night looking for a humidifier for my daughter. I looked in the medical supply aisle, baby isle, etc. and could not find one. I approached an employee who was stocking toothbrushes. He had his headphones in so it took a second to get his attention. I asked him if they carried humidifiers to which he replied which one? I told him I was not looking for a specific brand I just want to know if they carried them. He replied rudely in all his greasiness with an "I don't know!" and walked off. Ran in today to pickup first aid supplies on my lunch hour. I was out by that area and saw this CVS. I was in a rush and this guy asked if I needed help. I explained what I was looking for and had questions about the sale posted on the band aids. This guy was awesome! He took his time to help me out. I had to write my experience and post a review because I was so impressed with his customer service and attention. One of the band aids for sale was buy 1 get 1 50% off and I couldn't find a second box so he got me 25% off on that one. He helped me pick up $15 worth of first aid so I could qualify to get my $5 extra bucks cash. He was so kind and helpful. I believe his name was Tristan. We don't always get excellent customer service like that but I thought to myself this guy deserves a great Yelp review!! You get 2 thumbs up from me Tristan -thanks for your help!!!! read more

The staff always opens another register when there are 2 or more in line and always apologize for the wait. They usually have what I'm looking for and have got me out of a bind when my boyfriend got sick in the middle of the night and we needed something. Very poor Customer Service without a clue as to their inventory, sale and promotional items and just general skill at this CVS not to mention the coupon Machine has been broken for like 3 months at least. Its hard to understand when the other CVS locations are well staffed and their coupon machines are always operational and the staff is very knowledgeable. I had a good experience going to this CVS, but it was just the Pharmacy I visited and it was 12 midnight on a Wednesday (there were just a bunch of teens wandering the aisles at the time). After having gotten stitches, I had to get some pills to avoid infection. Since this CVS is open 24 hours, I decided to go here and get it done with. The pharmacist was a really cool guy and was able to have my prescription ready within 5 minutes, as well as give me the mandatory counseling about the medication, etc. I was in and out in 10 minutes, which was really nice especially since I had been in the ER just hours earlier. If I had to get a medicine in the middle of the night again, then I would go back to this CVS. read more

This review is for Pharmacy Staff (backend - who fill the medicines), I am customer with them from more than 10 Yrs and today I decided to stop going to CVS store for my pharmacy as well as day to day shopping of general use items. I was treated so bad that I am now totally angry with them, my one Medication of 'Metformin' they put me on waiting for 1 hr, and every 10 minutes they came to ask me - you want this, you want this and what I was asking they didn't give me, even 4th time when I asked them to give me the Original Medication which they filled in first place, and they agreed but when I come home, I found that was not the brand. I cheated me literally. Moving all of my family prescriptions out of CVS and will not recommend to them. I wasted 1 hr just for the thing which i didn't want to. read more

It's hard to believe how little regard the employees have for their customers. Especially at the front register. I not only experienced it for myself but have also witnessed others being treated terribly. I don't work there which is why I ask you the employee at CVS questions. Why be rude and why do you act inconvenienced? If anyone at corporate has any regard for their customers, I highly recommend a thorough review of your management working there as well as your training program. This is by far THE worst pharmacy in existence. I truly miss the days when it was Savon. The pharmacists are idiots and pharmacy clerks are not helpful at all. They continually fill my prescription under the wrong generic form, had my name, address, insurance info. (well ok fine, ALL my personal info. wrong!!), and refused to help when I had two very serious medical conditions, let me explain: the first was caused by a generic form that they had used to fill a prescription - the medication caused my pulse rate to plummet, and my blood pressure followed suit. I retained a ridiculous amount of water, and put on 12 lbs. This was after a week. I called the pharmacy, and was unable to talk to ANYONE. After twelve, *yes twelve* failed attempts, I contacted their 800 pharmacy line and spoke to someone mildly competent. After speaking to the pharmacist, I spoke with my doctor. Low and behold, the medication they used to fill my prescription had been manufactured by a company in deep doo-doo with the FDA. If CVS truly cared about the health and well beings of their patients, they would not use this generic, or any other generic form manufactured by this particular company (not going to name names here, not my style). So, I go to the pharmacy with 1.) information from the 800 CVS pharmacist and 2.) letter and 3.) new prescription from my doctor for the medication. The pharmacist at CVS was so mean, and so rude, she literally had me in tears. A semi-competent pharmacy clerk gave me the National number for the prescription that I needed. I went to Costco, and paid *less than* a third of the price. That was bad situation #1. Here is bad situation #2: CVS continually failed to fill my birth control on time; had me under the wrong name; had me listed as a 54 year old man (which I am not); had my insurance info. mixed up w/ my family's; yeah, everything that could go wrong did, and has, gone wrong. I called them 6x's after going to CVS to pick up my prescription and it was not ready. They first told me they were almost done filling it. Then they told me that the prescription had been moved to another pharmacy (which it had not). Then they told me that it had expired (which it had not). Then they told me they needed doctor authorization. At phone call#5, I asked them the fax number they were using, discovered it was totally incorrect, and GAVE THEM the correct fax number. I worked for them, damn they should cut me a check, hah! Then, I go to pick up the prescription, and low and behold, they filled it with the wrong medication! Sound familiar anyone? Yeah, then I called and was *not* happy. There was a Mexican lady who was VERY helpful (I think she's new.. ) and finally got it taken care of. Yeah, now this month I'm going to Costco, screw this!! read more

As I write this review I have been waiting over 1.5 hours for them to fill a prescription that they quoted me 30 min for. After 50 min of waiting, I Checked and they say only 15 min more "max" now over 30 min later and no prescription. I wish they would just quote accurate wait times so they didn't waste my time. Take whatever they tell you and triple it, then come back to check on it. Actually on second thought you better quadruple it, hopefully then it MIGHT be ready. If you're lucky. read more
