I would have sworn I'd already reviewed this CVS as it's pretty much my neighborhood option. Obviously, this is part of the national CVS chain and pretty much is consistent with other CVS locations. This is a free-standing location in the traditional CVS design with appropriate accessible parking spots, curb cuts, and automatic doors. So, in terms of accessibility it generally does well. Like most CVS locations, this has both attended registers and self-serve registers. In most cases, I tend to be going to CVS for simple items and it's nice to have the option of a quick self-checkout. This CVS has a pharmacy, of course, but I would note it tends to have slightly shorter hours than the store itself. They also close from 1:30-2 daily for lunch. The pharmacy offers 15+ vaccines and you can schedule online or simply walk-in. The pharmacy does have a drive-thru. This CVS has in-store pick-up and serves as a UPS access point. They also accept SNAP and have an ATM inside. I will admit that I was a big fan of the previous manager, however, he got the opportunity to go to a downtown location and took it. However, this location still does fine for the most part. This is a solid mid-range experience for me. The employees are perfectly helpful, however, I'm not sure I'd call them genuinely friendly. I've not dealt with the pharmacy here other than for simple questions. The prices here definitely feel a bit high with a general approach of a limited selection in a variety of areas. They do have pretty decent sales and their rewards program offers discounts on a regular basis. This is a really interesting corner. The Walgreen's that used to be across the street bit the dust and is now a Dollar Tree. This corner also has a Dollar General, a Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market, and this CVS. CVS is very much the one I choose when I need health-related items with a nice selection of OTC meds, first aid supplies, and vitamins. Have you ever had a place that was just sort of "meh?" This is a great CVS if you want to show up and find out that none of your medications are filled or that there's a prior authorization needed where you don't find out until you go to pick up your medication. I've always dealt with the very very slow service of this CBS but today after surgery I waited an hour and a half to be told the medication I was getting needed my doctor so I got him on the phone and then they said he need to talk to my insurance company and I just wish they had told me that an hour and a half earlier. I ended up going to a different pharmacy with the same insurance and same issues where they solved it in 5 minutes. There's one pharmacist named Andrew who's always been very polite and helpful but other than that I can't really think of anyone who's out of conversation with me past just telling me my medicine isn't filled. Again the super long wait each time with something I could put up with but poor service and a waste of time is too much. read more

I dont recommend no one to the cvs pharmacy on 5005 east 56th street the store is ok its just the pharmacy the tech is very rude .I had a passing in my family and was trying to get a prescription filled so she said i had to call my doc so i did instead of my doc calling she wrote out another whole precsrition cause she was busy and the pharmacy tech canceled that prescription.and said i still need her to call me so this is why i feel the way i do about CVS pharmacy read more

i picked up a prescription from the pharmacy and the Second Lady I talked with was very kind bubbly and nice but the manager on the other hand was rude and was directly rude to the nice staff member I dealt with. I don't appreciate seeing managers be unkind to their employees and demean them especially in front of customers. hopefully she sees this and changes her attitude towards her employees, the other lady was awesome though! read more

Horrible hours of service .... U cant pick anything up before work because they dont open till 10am and its a struggle getting thru any type of traffic to get there for them to close at 7pm .... I remember before CVS came to town and you could go to a drug store and get what you came in for. Not the case with this big chain, it seems they have plenty of unhealthy stuff and shelf stable things that are marked up so high, it makes you wonder. The doctor asks where you want to pick up your prescription and unfortunately the insurance company decides where that will be. You are directed here, a high priced grocery store, with magazines and make up. The medical equipment or convalescence area is small and they have very few items. When I came to pick up a prescription here, they did not have it all and I had to go to another location to finish filling it. Did you know the pharmacy inside Target is also a CVS? I don't know, it seems slow, impersonal, and full of little things to trip you up and add to the already high price of prescription drugs. read more

Awesome pharmacy staff! I have been going for years to this pharmacy and sometimes have prescriptions that are difficult to fill due to having complicated health insurance. The pharmacy team never blinks an eye and will figure out a way to get my prescription completed. If they are out of stock they will get it in a quickly as they can or are willing to call another store to get the out of stock prescription filled at another store filled. When I run out of a refill for prescription, they will call my doctors and get the refill without me having to make that effort. I appreciate that! When checking out up front for non pharmacy items, the store staff is just as helpful. Especially when redeeming coupons using CVS pay which sometimes causes problems redeeming coupons. The recently reset the store and the store is organized much better and cleaner. read more

I only come here because it's the closest pharmacy. No one is ever helpful. There is ONE lady that works in the pharmacy that is nice and helpful but other than that they act like you are bothering them. Their hours aren't great and their building is a dump with weeds, dead bushes and over grown grass. For a neighborhood that is working so hard to improve, they certainly bring the corner down. read more

WOW! I had a difficult prescription to source, and the pharmacist, Lovelyn, did all the work to locate what I needed with great expediency, beautiful cheerfulness, and ability beyond reproach. I used to use Walgren's, but will solely use this location from now on if I continue to get the great service received today. Lovelyn totally brightened up my day. Thank you Lovelyn! On another note, I've reviewed another CVS location at 2330 E 46th St Indianapolis, IN 46205. The worst pharmacy experience in my 58 years on this planet. Will never go there again. Well.. I run in yesterday and Autumn the cashier must have lost herself for a moment when she asked me a customer to move! so she could scan my water. I think she was daydreaming about her mom role and got the 2 roles mixed up. It's not move.. it's excuse me when you're at work dealing with customers it's move at home with your kids. read more

I go to this CVS regularly, and overall have a positive opinion of it. It is clean and well maintained. Most of the staff recognizes me and make me feel welcome. There have been a couple of employees who were a bit rude, but I notice that they don't seem to last long. Only reason I don't give this location a five star review is because of one employee. She is an older woman who has been there for years and I swear if she were to smile her face would crack! She almost never says a word unless she has to. No greeting or anything, even if you say hello first she acts as if you said nothing! She is quite rude all around. Other than maybe she being the one to check you out I recommend this CVS. read more
