I had came here to get medicine due to not feeling good. They have coupons and discounts here due to a rewards program they have. The medication I bought was not costly. The service was great and everything was easy to find in the store. read more

Not a bad experience, but like all CVS stores, ridiculously overpriced. I went in for an OTC allergy med I needed sooner rather than later, but it was nearly twice what I usually pay at a big box store. I honestly don't know how CVS or Walgreens stay in business with their price points when you can get the exact same thing "down the street" for an nth of the price. read more

This is the worst CVS and CVS is already bad. This one rarely has selves stocked, are low on staff and the pharmacy always has a line inside and at the drive thru. Went there once and the pharmacy was closed because they had no pharmacist. I have to use CVS for my RX and I drive 15 to 20 minutes away to the CVS across town because I refuse to rely on this one. read more

I can't comment on the pharmacy or CVS itself. However, the NP Mindy in the minute clinic is amazing. She's always super sweet and gives me plenty of great advice. She seems like she genuinely cares. I hadn't been there in a while and she remembered me from the last visit. I was have issues with a reoccurring ear infection and she even took the time to show me the inside of my ears with a little camera/monitor so I could see the issue for myself. Definitely would at least recommend the clinic here if you ever need this CVS for that purpose. read more

If you're a regular reader of my Yelp reviews, then you've caught on to a few things: 1) I'm wordy. I'm a writer and I love to write in honest, descriptive, and emotionally resonant ways. It's how I write. 2) I'm an adult with a disability and I'm not afraid to talk about it. I approach almost every business at least partly from a disability perspective, because it's my life framework and I know that many of you either experience health issues or have loved ones who do. Seriously. I've met some of the coolest people on here and I know you care. 3) I care about customer service, maybe even more than product quality. I shy away from "chain" reviews, but when a chain treats me well I feel obligated to write about it. I'm a Yelper who loves to share the good, the average, the funny, and the absolutely horrid that I experience. When I rambled into CVS Pharmacy on East 82nd Street & Clearvista Parkway (think Community North Hospital) a few hours before a snowstorm was due to hit Indianapolis, I was not in the greatest of moods. I've been dealing with a couple health issues this week, had worked all day, was extraordinarily tired, and just wanted to pick up a few house safety items, a prescription, and enough liquids (No silly, not that!) to keep me hydrated through the weekend's snow. This particular location is a freestanding building. Thus, it was easily built to ADA code with appropriate curb cuts and automatic doors. In fact, they just did a further upgrade and added another incredibly wonderful ramp that was just perfect (Thanks CVS!). Inside, their counters are wheelchair friendly and you don't strain to handle financial transactions, don't have to worry about sliding a debit card without seeing the actual numbers, etc. These things matter. Still, it was the customer service here that was stellar. It started when a day earlier I had filled one prescription at the CVS closer to my home at 56th & Emerson. However, they didn't have one ingredient needed to make the other prescription. I was immediately impressed when they specifically offered two other locations that would very likely be able to fill it (Walgreen's did not do this and Wal-Mart just plain said they would have to order ingredients). When I asked if they would call them to be sure, they did so without hesitation, this CVS confirmed they could, and my prescription was faxed over to be ready the next day as it really was a custom job. The only glitch, and it was minor, was that the text confirming my order was ready came from 56th Street with their address/phone. I'd have been a bit frustrated if I went there first - fortunately, I have common sense and called and it was confirmed it was at 82nd Street. I arrived after work, paid a fair price (insurance included, of course), and was treated great throughout. I picked up a few items for home, including a 12 pack of iced tea. Being in a wheelchair, I hate carrying these things. It's so difficult. My sense of balance is already off and I feel like John Merrick wanting to scream out "I am not a freak" while weaving back-and-forth carrying it. In this case, right as I picked it up from check-out the pack actually broke. The cashier didn't miss a beat - "let me get you another one." That was a simple, kind gesture that really was above and beyond. That said "you are more important than that product." That's a good message to send and on that day I REALLY needed that. Without my even being comfortable with asking that, she went and tried to find one anyway. They were actually out (I had grabbed the last one), but then she immediately went into action tightly double bagging everything so that it would be stable and I would be able to carry it. It wasn't just "good" customer service. It was "extraordinary" customer service. While every "chain" certainly cares about profits, they have to, CVS consistently encourages healthy, lifestyles hires friendly/helpful people, and they obviously empower their employees to make decisions. While I had a time when I found their new re-design less than wheelchair friendly, they've continued tweak and improve. While they haven't quite gotten to Walgreen's level with hiring of the disabled (FYI - Walgreen's is GREAT about it, especially in Indiana), this particular location is simply top notch and they've earned my loyalty. I'll be back. NOTE: On a subsequent visit recently, I experienced a drop in the 5-star review worth noting. I arrived in the early morning hours to pick up a prescription. It appeared only one pharmacy tech was working. I waited for about five minutes at the counter and was never acknowledged. She then responded to a drive-thru customer. I was then positive she saw me, but this was followed by serving two phone calls, one person at the other end of the counter AND another drive-thru customer. I was never even acknowledged and left without getting my prescription. Absolutely unacceptable. So, I'm dropping the review to a 3-star. read more

The nurse came in with a terrible attitude and refused to do her job. Save yourself the trouble and go across the street to the Dr. Aziz pharmacy...they are a small, local pharmacy and care about providing good service to their customers. I signed up online for flu shot appointments for my two small children. CVS sent me confirmation text messages to be there 5 minutes before the 1:59 and 2:06 appointments for each child. I arrived around 1:50, but no employees were working at the clinic. The nurse returns from her lunch after 2:30. Rather than apologize or even acknowledge that there is a group of people waiting on her, she looks up at the board that lists the next patients up. There are 6 people listed. To no one in particular, she says "%&*@ now I'm going to have to work the whole afternoon" before going into her office. When she comes back out several minutes later to call us in I ask her, "What happened? My appointment was at 1:59. I got a text message to be here 5 minutes early. I've been here for over 40 minutes trying to contain two small children." Nurse's response..."Well, at 1:59 you couldn't have had an appointment" I tell her I have a text message with a 1:59 appointment confirmation. She refuses to accept that this is even possible. This conversation goes back and forth like this for about 2 minutes until she finally admits that her contract as an hourly employee dictates that she is allowed to take an hour lunch break and she left at 1:26 to go to lunch (she got back after 2:30, so...math, you know). We go back into the office to get my boys the shots where I ask her name (I intend to file a complaint). She refuses to provide her name. I ask "Why are you acting evasive and defensive?" She responds that I am "badgering her" and that she "will not wait on me today". CVS is clearly willing to scrape the bottom of the barrel for nurses. Despite an attitude that makes her dangerously unqualified to care for patients, I offer in her defense that there is no possible way that she could have greeted the patient, entered in all of the insurance information, entered the contact/billing information, and given the flu shot in the 7 minute window that CVS allocated for this appointment. The entire system here is completely flawed and not deserving of your hard-earned money. read more

Spent two hour at the med check across the street with a UTI. They called in a script for me to this pharmacy. I walked in at 6 and got to the back at 30 seconds after. They closed the door in my face. Didn't even say I'm sorry, just "we close at 6" I looked at my phone and it was 6 on the nose (not even 6:01). The girl looked sympathetic but the pharmacist said "we close at 6" for a second time and then nodded to the girl to continue shutting the gate. Sir I hope one day you find yourself in desperate need of help and someone closes the door in you'r face!!! read more

So i came to the Minute Clinic here for a TB test. The lady who was working so sweet and nice. She told me that they usually they aren't very busy around this time because their are doctors offices near by so I'm sure you could get a walk in appointment very easy. A TB test was $65 which I thought was very expensive. But maybe not Ok So I talked to one of my co-workers about the cost of my TB and she said she paid $29 at Kroger Minute Clinic!!! Great location to get prescriptions filled. They will get in contact with your doctor if they need approval, the customer service is friendly, and I've never waited more than 3 minutes when using the drive-thru to pickup. I highly recommend this CVS Pharmacy for your medical needs. read more

Overall pharmacy experience was worse than horrid I wish I could give this location (& some of its staff) less than half a star. I was refused service over the phone by an incompetent worker (female, didn't catch a name) regarding prescriptions I needed filled. To begin, this person sounded incredibly hostile and nasty. She got my insurance information wrong, not twice, but three times, within the first five minutes of our conversation. Then after having to correct her so many times, she started easing her voice, almost to a shout at me. I personally have worked within customer service for years, and any supervisor of mine would not have allowed that. I told her she needn't raise her voice at me even if she was irritable, since she was in fact the one mistyping ALL of my information, INCLUDING my name and DOB. She then snickered and continued by giving me the average price of only one RX I needed filled. (Being that I have little insurance coverage, I need an estimate to know where I can Afford influenza A meds) When I asked for the average price of my next RX, she interrupted me and told me, verbatim, "I'm not going to do that for you!" Immediately asking for her supervisor, the pharmacist in this case, he didn't seem to mind that I was literally Crying at that point because of how rude and unhelpful the employee was being, nor that she had gotten almost all of my information wrong after repeating it multiple times. I have never seen a pharmacy ran so poorly. I understand being understaffed, but since I moved over here a year ago this has been a consistent issue. My medicines are never on time. The main pharmacist is temperamental, they NEVER answer their phones (ask any insurance company or doctors office), and the wait just to pick up one item takes at minimum 13 minutes. What's the issue here that is not being fixed? I love the convenient location but man it really is not worth the monthly hassle of having to go in there and preparing myself for a daily Med to not be ready on time and so on. Why can't my BCBS cover Walgreens...who do I have to sleep with to make this better read more

Unbelievable. The pharmacist told me he "didn't have time to keep monkeying around" while I was asking questions about my prescription. Not only did he never come speak to me within a 6-7 foot distance the disrespect towards a customer was beyond unbelievable. When finding the store manager he did little to nothing but go and suck up to the pharmacist like he was scared of him or something. Not how you treat a customer at all. read more

This minute clinic gets no rating. A waste of time and money . My husband went to this minute clinic in CVS a week ago and he was their for 20 minutes.Due to not knowing what they were doing, they misdiagnosed him, told him to buy a product they sell(of course) not prescription and it made his problem worse. I would not recommend going to a minute clinic. Go to an Immediate Care or Emergency Room. Moral of the story is we paid $140 for nothing. Never Again!! read more

To be fair, this isn't necessarily just a problem with this location, it might be reflective of an issue with CVS's in general. While moving, I ended up getting a pretty deep puncture wound just after midnight 2 weeks ago in my foot. Stepped on something in the dark that went in deep. Since I could still move all of my toes and so on and my schedule was pretty demanding as I was finishing up a local job and moving out of state, I determined that I would patch it up for the night, and stop by an urgent care to verify nothing further needed to be done in the morning. So since I didn't have any bandages on hand, all of that stuff had just been moved out of state, I put on a clean sock to catch the bleeding, and drove over to CVS for an Ace Bandage. When I got there, there were all kinds of CVS bandages, but none that had the quality of Ace Bandages. I ended up getting one of the CVS bandages so I could somehow apply pressure that night and it was abysmal in comparison to what I was looking too. In addition, I didn't find any Bandaid Brand version of the bandage I was looking to put right over my wound to hold some medication against it, just CVS brand. So I got their brand. I quickly learned something, after I tried to clean my foot and get their bandage to stick, it would not stick to my foot. I thought it was just a tough place for bandages to stick, but after I ran out of CVS bandages which never stuck, I started using Bandaid Brand bandages which stick all day without issue. So what it comes to, CVS at least at this store seems to wan to sell the CVS brand of many needed bandages and they are sub par quality. I expected more because I have always believed the CVS version of medicines are as good. Now that they have forced me to learn that their bandages are sub-par, I'm starting to wonder what else is. If you have an injury you need a bandage for, believe it or not, you may be further ahead by just going to Wal-Mart or Meijer. read more
