My mom went to CVS to buy a couple of items. The cashier at the front refused to help my mom unless…read moreshe used the self check out. She said she would help my mom use the machine and she was having trouble inputting her coupons. Then when it came time to pay she realized my mom was paying cash and was annoyed that she wouldn't use a card because it meant she HAD to help her at the cash register (she never asked how she was paying ahead of time). She then takes my mom to the register and refused to give her a receipt because she said it was gonna be emailed. My mother is in her 70s and felt extremely frustrated and told her forget it, she didn't wanna buy anything so she finally agreed to give my mom a physical receipt. The cashier told my mom that the cash registers are for when people want to buy liquor. So they are discriminating against anyone who doesn't drink and refusing to give equal service. My mom says she has to pretend to buy liquor to use a cashier, and then say never mind, I don't want the liquor just so I can be helped by a cashier. It was a very frustrating experience, it's super disrespectful of elders. She wasted my mom's time, and she doesn't wanna go there any more. We live in a small town and there are very few options of stores, and I hate to think that this is going to be my mom's experience every time she needs to buy a simple item.

The driver in front of me had to ring the bell a second time. Finally, I backed out and had to walk in. Avoid the drive thru at all costs. Walk in if you want service. This is the third time I experienced the drive thru issue. This location needs more pharmacists and better attention to detail.

Talk about absolute nonsense. It seems like the entire store has gone to self-checkout and even…read morethen you can't even find an employee. However, the real reason for my review is the store's policy of ordering online compared to in person shopping is absolutely absurd. I came into the store looking for baby formula as it says they have it available, and I can even pick it up in store if I wanted. However, when I get to the section it seems like other baby formula has spilled over and someone might have accidentally mistook the items as available inventory. Since it's behind a case, I have to call over an associate, which is an ordeal unto itself. I eventually get two different employees show up to come assist, but of course they don't have the item and it's falsely stating "available." I'm then advised by both employees that I should go upfront and order with the online shopping Walmart representative so they can grab the item from the back for me in the warehouse. So instead of one of the employees going back for me, they are essentially stating I need to order online and "Hope" the item is back there otherwise Walmart will refund me. After politely asking one of the employees, he did check in the back, but after several minutes stated they didn't have any. Luckily he did mark it OUT OF STOCK, but talk about a weird policy- ORDER ONLINE, but don't expect to pick up items in person. This is just another reason why I try to avoid Walmart stores.

To add insult to injuty, once i finisged the doors were locked as closing time had come and despite following the instructions to open it in an emegrency, i was still stuck until someone came over and opened it. It's an experience i share as i hate for what happened to me to happen to someone else in that prediciamnet and the staff were not the best at being the most curteous or professional and instead were jeered at by a woman like a shrew and someone that could care less about helping me out of there. (Twice in 4 months) I've been working 60-80 hours a week plus I just finished my masters degree, not to mention all the medical issues I'm dealing with (Kidneys, cancer, fibromyalgia) and this lady has the audacity to get an attitude with me...? It's not like they call me or text me with reminders. I mean, people get busy sometimes it's not like I'm the only person in Santa Paula who has ever not had time to pick up their prescription... As a matter of fact, they never even call to say my prescription is ready- ever. They do have time, however, to ask me if I want to refill a prescription. Any other pharmacy would call or text with "Friendly" reminders, just Incase, but not this place. They are not the Seebers of my past and my future won't be seeing much of them either. Update: So, I wait like 4 days to go pick up my prescription because I needed time to cool off before I went in after that Seeber's employee copped an attitude with me. When I get there, they already pulled my prescription from the shelf... WTF, it's been 4 days, seriously, are they trying to screw with me? This lady just sealed the deal me and all the members of my family, we will never fill prescriptions at this pharmacy again!

Whoever is running this pharmacy is doing a great job. I used to be with Rite Aid and this is such a relief - Rite Aid was mostly chaos. This CVS is well organized and not proficient at solving problems. Just total competence. I know there are many people who have said negative things about CVS But I honestly don't know what their experiences have been with other pharmacies. Pharmacists do not check the Rx before filling them and just go off the automated system. I am almost always there for around 30+ minutes, fixing problems with prescriptions, waiting online multiple times. It is very frustrating.
