I went into Giant last year. I was having problems with my Giant rewards account and logging in, I called support for help and spoke to a local person. Giant support is still in MD and PA. That impressed me. I had been shopping a lot at Lidl and when I was walking around Giant o saw many of the prices were compatible. I also love how Giant had many local food products including Ben's Chili, Ledos pizza and local bakery items. It's nice walking into a grocery store that anywhere you turn you see a Giant employee and they are always friendly and happy to help. Giant is my go to grocery store now and it has been for the the past year and don't know why but I get excited when I pull up to my local Giant.

It took them more then a week every time. The first time I went there it was fine. They called me a couple days when the medicine was ready. After the 2nd and 3rd refills it went down hill after that. What I don't understand is that they had updated my phone number already the first time so I'm not sure why the manager (she sucks). She was the one with the southern accent. You can't miss her accent and her son work there too. When I went today to get the medicine the manager verify my old number again when they had already update phone number to begin with and it was also on the refills so why didn't they call or text when the medicine was ready to be picked up. The manager ask me to calm down and I was. I just was just frustrated. How dumb can you get? I also called and left a message for them on 1/17 and they never called me so I went there today 1/26 and it was just sitting in there bin. Obviously if they listen to my message that I left on 1/17 they would find out what my phone number is but no one bother to call. If I was not able to go today to get my daughter's medicine in which she really need who knows when she will be able to take it. It would probably be seating in their bin for a whole month. smh. Again I would not highly recommend this place even if the pharmacist said Walmart would not be able to mix the medicine for my daughter. I rather go somewhere else instead of wasting my time over and over again and . I don't have the time for stupidity. smh Good luck with whomever is in getting your medicine filled there!

They also do COVID vaccines here which is super convenient. Also next door there is a lab if you need testing or blood work done.

Living in McLean for over 40 years I never used Safeway pharmacy but lately I didn't want to drive further away I tried to transfer my medication to that location, when I arrived to pick up as I was looking where to stand to pick up I hear a shutting loud voice " Mam" are you picking up !? This woman's voice shock me it was so loud the whole store could hear her !! Naturally I said yes and proceeded to find the right place to stand but if that shutting was not enough she shut again " you have to stand here " ok no line I stood by the signs still confused why is she shutting at me ! I guess I was not quite where she wanted me to be then she literally left her post came from behind the counter started lecturing me that I was not standing in a right place !! I literally just got there still trying to find the right window to pick up and mind you no line! It was late and I wasn't feeling well it was my first experience with Safeway pharmacy ! My daughter even heard her yelling and came to see what's going on! When I finally called to pick up my medicine they did not have one of them and the other woman behind the register didn't know what the reason was !! I wanted to get out so bad i felt I was being targeted by her there was no reason for her unhinged behavior! I picked up one of my medicine and asked what was the name of that rude woman behind the counter I'm not sure but I think it started with" S" like Sabrin and I think she was a technician not a pharmacist! I have met the doctor prior to transferring my meds and he was a nice gentleman! The quality of people who are being hired in this area lately has gone done! Specially if you are working at pharmacy you need to have better manners!! You are being trusted with people's medications! I also counted my pills and I see how they shorted me a couple should I go there and start shutting ? I just don't go back! Even though I like Safeway and I often shop there ! " Good job lady " you shouldn't be near any pharmacy if that is how you treat the patients who are just trying to pick up their medications why don't you concentrate on what you were doing filling meds instead of shutting at people maybe you won't make a mistake counting the pills! Or have an explanation why the item is not available? or when will be available!?
