So, like any slightly frustrated yet hopeful customer, I stood in line to talk to the workers at the photo center counter to ask what could be done. Not only were they very polite and understanding about my situation, they said they could do them in the next ten minutes if we wanted to browse the store. Lo and behold, after shopping for a few last-minute stocking stuffers, I returned to the counter to find the photos ready to be paid for. Thanks again to that team working the photo center counters during the holidays and always!

However seniors if you see an increase with meds, have it checked with your insurance company. I was being overcharged for two medications, so I called my insurance company. I had called the pharmacy first and they stuck by the price and said I had a price increase. I called the insurance company and the one med still had a zero cost and the other was overcharged by $4.03. It's not a lot of money, but when you add up $9.93 or more here and there, from many people, it can add up to a lot of extra money for Wegmans. This isn't the first time that this has happened to my husband and me. Many seniors don't question their bill amount and they just pay it. I'm not trying to put Wegmans down, I just want to make people aware, not only seniors to ask if the pricing doesn't seem right. Call your insurance company if you have already paid for the meds, to get a refund of the difference. Don't be afraid to speak up. It's your money that you're saving.

Acme Sav-on has been on our list of preferred providers for local pharmacies every time (along with other local pharmacies). We have opted to stay with them each time we have changed. Especially for something as important as life-saving medication. We were informed that it hurts their bottom line so they've chosen not to do it. The owner was condescending and obtuse and uncaring. He spoke to me as if I was a three-year-old child that he had to speak slowly too so I could understand. Their prices are much higher than any of the surrounding pharmacies in the area and trust me no one there is nice or kind enough to make up for the price hike. I never see anyone in the parking lot and now I know why. If you're on the fence about going here or looking for a new pharmacy to give your business to, just save yourself some heart ache. Because this "small town pharmacy for the people" doesn't seem to be all too concerned about their fellow man, much less the community in which they're SUPPOSED to serve. I shop here for their veggies as they always carry it fresh and prices are reasonable. The bakery section is okay, not huge like other stores. The ready to eat food section has a large selection, especially fried chicken on Mondays, which are great here. They do carry other beverages to buy with an ID and have a good collection. They do carry seasonal items for spring, summer, and even holiday season. The daily section is the breads, the usual groceries, and everything is sufficient enough to complete your grocery shopping in one place. The stuff is generally courteous, and the service is definitely on par with other grocery stores.

On a recent visit to the store to purchase 3 items, I got behind another customer in the only check…read moreout line that was open. The cashier rung up the gentlemen's order but could not scan his coupon with the scanning gun. He called for the manager who came over about a minute later and also could not get the gun to work. After about another 2 minutes of trying to figure out why the gun wasn't working, the manager suspended the transaction and took the gentleman to another register to finish his transaction. Meanwhile, my cashier could not use his register without the manager re-opening it. At this point, there are about 8 other customers in line behind me. After finishing the other transaction, the manager spends about 1 minute talking to another employee before coming back to my check out line. Magically, 2 more check out lines open up. With nowhere to go since my items were already on the belt, the other customers flock to the newly opened lines. I have now been standing here quietly for 10 minutes and in that time neither the cashier nor, and most especially, the manager never once acknowledged me or apologized for the inconvenience. Upon her arrival at the check out line, the manager took out the cash drawer and for the first time (and without apology) said anything to me. She informed me that: "You have to go get in another line." Upon telling her that I should not have to go to the back of a line and that she should ring up my order, she responded by saying: "No, you have to go to another line", I told her once again that she should ring up my order and she once again responded: "NO." Needless to say, I left the store without purchasing my 3 items, and I will never be back. I have seen some people that should not be considered "management" in my day but this one was the worst. No acknowledgement, no apology for my inconvenience and just expecting me to pick up my stuff and wait in the back of another line after I had already wasted 10 minutes of my time just because she didn't feel like ringing up my 3 items. PATHETIC!!!
