Recently transferred my script to this pharmacy. Also, recently transferred back to the originating…read morepharmacy. This store is the slowest in creation. Example: I went in for a vaccine shot - with no one ahead of me in line it took 10 mins to get waited on, to tell me to have a seat which took 20 minutes more. Its now 25 minutes past my appointment time and the pharmacist had 3 other employees in there w him. When I inquired how much longer it would be i got a 5 minute rant from the pharmacist about how everyone expects to get waited on the minute they arrive at the counter and that next time I better not ask any questions or he can make the injection very painful. Last time I ever would deal w such an unprofessional outfit - literally the worst I have ever dealt with in a pharmacy in my 55 years. I transferred all scripts from there and Rite Aid got not only this review, but I work in a medical facility - one that will not recommend Rite Aid - ever~

Rite aid was a ghost town in the store. I had to get an emergency script filled for a family…read moremember. I was distraught because of the three scripts I needed filled, the most important one- the pain pills they were "sure" if they had it in stock. I was pretty irritated because I had a post operative loved one in the car waiting to see what was going on. It was stressful. Plus the Med was rather common. I guess though with the legit opioid crisis this country is suffering they're trying to make these more difficult to get perhaps. I got the prescriptions- ALL THREE- within about 20 minutes. They had a sense of urgency but I felt they were disorganized. I was taken aback that they weren't "sure" a certain med was in stock. It caused me anxiety about having to go possibly to a different pharmacy while toting a post surgical patient in the car with the anesthesia quickly evaporating away. I wouldn't go back here. I only went here because it was the closest to the loved one's residence. Go to Walgreens - Walgreens is my go to pharmacy when I'm not forced to do mail order.

I had to wait for 15 minutes beyond my appointment time, which wasted my time but turned out to be the least of the problems. Then I asked for the documentation of my receipt of the vaccine and they assured me it would be emailed to me. But the email only provided a link to a web page showing me the date and type of vaccine I received, without inclusion of my name or date of birth on the page, and therefore is useless as documentation to provide to the hospital as proof of my vaccination. I called to try and correct this, but they refused to email me any better documentation, insisting they had no way to print it to a PDF or scan a paper copy that they were able to print. They even refused to photograph their documentation with a cell phone, and text or email me the photograph. They were quite rude about it and did not care that the documentation they provide is utterly and absurdly useless. It is a very unprofessional organization for healthcare, failing at the simplest and most obvious service. The people in the pharmacy at this particular location (Collegeville, PA) are rude and unhelpful and unconcerned about their customers, to boot. I will avoid CVS forever from now on, especially this location.

Things have always been good for me here. But, the other reviews and comments here are largely…read morevalid too. This pharmacy just seems to do more business than the other ones nearby - and there is less space in the store to work with. I suggest everyone try the CVS app to really speed things up with prescription management, pickup and payment. It's a good app and it is always improving. Plus, you can actually speak to a support person who will actually fix things if they get jammed up. When my turn comes at the pharmacy lately, I have been getting done in only a minute or two. The pharmacy and front end staff always recognize me and are professional and nice ... and have been at the store for a while now. I get the right drugs when the app tells me they'll be ready. I don't want to be too much of a softie with this review, but, I do want to be sympathetic to people in line in front of me who are older or sicker or less familiar with Rx mechanics than I am ... and to the pharmacy staff who must have to deal with hundreds of us every day ... all in the context of our US pharmaceutical / insurance systems and the big company they work for. Restaurant reviews are so much easier to write (and read) than this!
