Can't even do passport pictures right. If you need passport photo for any foreign country or just need a picture that is Not of standard passport photo, they say they can do it, but they actually can't. Took 1 full hour just to get passport photo taken and cut in UK passport size and after $36 for that, the photo was Not accepted at the embassy. Just horrible. Again, don't go to CVS if you are serious about quality of the picture and it is for an important document like passport. read more

The worst customer service ever . The person who I can just describe as an angry Caucasian "lady" was so rude . I understand that you close in 30 minutes but your job is to serve your customers . Do you know how many people are struggling because they don't have a job ? It is so sad and that is why I am very selective with the places I visit . (I gave this place a 1 star last time, 4 months ago.) So, I had to go in there to pick up meds. York Ave location in Edina. Long line, as usual. You never hear " we'll be right with you", or "sorry for the wait". They don't look at you or acknowledge you in any way. So I wait my turn. Same group of employees. Ugg. Finally get my turn, the guy brings my meds to the counter, I look inside to be sure the order is right. One of the bags I didn't look in, I could tell what it was, an OTC I no longer needed. He threw the bag in a bin. Something told me to see it again because the order seemed messed up. Big groan from him. I look in the bag. My driver's license was in the bag it, fell on the counter. Same bag he threw in the bin. I had been looking for my DL for 4 weeks, I've never lost a DL in 53 years of driving. He sees this isn't cool and he freezes, we lock eyes, he looks down. I ask him how did that get in my bag? He didn't know. It was tense. The lobby was packed, people were watching and listening. I take my DL, give him a stare-down. The so called Pharmacy Manger, heard what was going on, ignored it, she didn't even look up. (She's is an entire bad review in herself) I sit back down look through my stuff to be sure it's right, and figure out how this happened....here's how. I picked up a prescription the month before. They gave it to me in a bag. As usual I want to get out there as fast as I can. I can feel the pill bottle, assuming my DL is in there too. It wasn't,it gets left behind. Meanwhile, im tearing my house apart thinking I must have dementia. Went through the garbage, the works. Bumming I have to go to the DMV. Cvs had my DL in their possession the entire time, Im in the data base, they have called me before, they have my email. So someone had the great idea to see I had a prescription to pick up, and said 'just throw it in her bag". I guess Im lucky that way. It would still be there today, in a bag, in a bin. Maybe get a process for "forgotten DL's". Get that pharmacy mgr right on it. Ive switched drug stores its a longer drive but I don't care. Ill be smarter because of the dumb-ness. Horribly disappointed at my experiences at this CVS pharmacy location. The staff doesn't have a "customer service" bone in their body. Numerous times I have left furious at the lack of humanity the employees possess for any customers. I have heard from numerous friends and family members that they have had equally as horrible experiences at this location and refuse to go back here. Most recently, yesterday almost brought me to tears as the staff yelled at an older man who had forgotten his sons birthday (needed to pick up a prescription) and the pharmacy worker yelled loud enough for everyone to hear to announce that this man was 4 days off on his sons birthdate. This man was clearly so embarrassed and stated "I can't believe I forgot his birthday". They then yelled that another customers prescription was ready, as that man approached the counter as expected when someone yells your name, the staff again rudely announced "SIR YOU HAVE TO WAIT IN LINE! THERE IS A LINE". He was in line. When you YELL someone's name it is common sense to walk up to the counter. When I got up to the counter, they stated they didn't have my prescription, but they did. And I was able to get it minutes later. I'm was very confused why they didn't think they had it. Clearly the (lack of) training and lack of respect from the employees is a problem, and it seems they are in the business of embarrassing their customers. This latest experience was truly upsetting and I will not be returning. I'd recommend not trying your luck here, as this wasn't an isolated experience. read more

Unbelievable, a store that is benefiting from being a Covid testing center, takes appointments for testing and then when you show up they state they are closed due to the cold. Why in the world would the place take appointments, guide you to the store and then say it's closed. Simply DON'T accept reservations. Poorly managed and poorly run. This location is notorious for being inept. They gave me the wrong lancets for my glucose meter AND didn't even have the meter in stock despite texting me that my prescription was ready. Thankfully, I borrowed one from a friend. I believe it was a couple of weeks, if not a month, before they texted me that the meter was back in stock. At the recommendation of my doctor, I moved my prescription to the CVS on Penn, it's not that far from this location and I've had no issues with my prescriptions. Edina CVS on York Avenue. Worst CVS I've ever used (in all of my 50 years). Customer service is terrible. I've been using this pharmacy for 5 months and haven't picked up a single prescription without a huge hassle. Prescriptions aren't filled on time, they're often "on hold" but I'm never told why, and I end up waiting at least 40 minutes every time I go there. I'm never notified if a prescription is ready and end up having to call numerous times. As a rule, I rarely complain. I am patient and understanding. I know staffing is a challenge these days. But on top of it all, the staff are rude and never apologetic. They act like they are not inconveniencing me! I've had it and plan to return to the CVS in St. Louis Park event though it is not near my home. read more

It's impossible for me to state enough how much this CVS location absolutely sucks. My high risk, on oxygen 24/7, fully vaccinated relative had tried coming here several times to pick up her prescriptions and the pharmacy drive up was closed each time for COVID testing. Because of the new CDC mask guidance re: Delta variant COVID, and at her doctor's direction, my relative didn't feel comfortable going in the CVS, she asked me to help go in and get her meds while she waited outside. 1. I saw multiple employees not wearing masks, including in the pharmacy area, and despite this new CDC mask guidance being out almost a week already. 2. I was the only customer I saw in the store wearing a mask. 3. Although only 4 people were ahead of me in line, it took 25 MINUTES before I was able to get the prescription for my relative. 4. I saw another customer ahead of me in the line complain that she had been waiting in line 40 MINUTES to pick up her prescriptions and couldn't wait any longer or she would be late to something else. 5. For those with fragrance allergies, the store is heavily fragranced/perfumed with synthetic chemical fragrances that hit you from the moment you step foot inside. 6. My relative informed me that none of this scenario was anything new, that they are this horrifically slow EVERY SINGLE TIME she has been at this CVS. 7. It's now 5 hours later and because I'm one of those people who has allergic reactions to synthetic fragrances, I had to dip into my allergic reaction kit that I'll be taking every 4 hours for the next 3 days now. My relative is going to transfer her meds to another pharmacy since this happens to her every time (for years), and I obviously can't go inside to pick up her meds again after this reaction. read more

Terrible pharmacy. Horribly understaffed. They don't even bother to open the drive-thru window anymore. Always a line to pick-up. Takes days to get a prescription filled. Don't try to call, theu just let the phone ring and ring and ring. Once I waited in the drive up line (when it was open) to pick up a prescription, the car ahead of me finished and drove away. By the time I drove up to the window (only a few seconds) they had dropped the window security shield. I went inside, they were still there but refused to give me the prescription because they were "closed". The CVS store would still be open for several hours. I had to make another trip and come back the next day. I have had it. This pharmacy is classically incompetent. I am transferring all of my prescriptions to Walgreens. This pharmacy is clearly short-staffed. I moved back to this location after having a rough time getting prescriptions filled from the St. Louis Park CVS. Now, it's an issue here as well. It seems to do no good to call or use the online system for filling your prescription. You need to physically go in and wait for it to be filled. The poor staff look to be frazzled and overworked. Terrible experience. DO NOT book a Covid test at this location. I signed up for a COVID test on line. Had to wait three days for an appointment. No problem, understandable as a lot of people are seeking test. I was in line for over one hour before I finally got through to the pharmacy and was informed of printer issues. They were able to generate one label per hour for Covid tests. There were probably six cars in line. I finally gave up waiting in line. Called several times to see if the printer issue was resolved only to learn it was not. I called this morning to determine the status and was told they would not know until their first scheduled Covid test at 10 am. When I asked about them honoring my appointment from yesterday I was told the appointment would not be honored and I would need to schedule a new appointment. Do not waste your time. read more

When this CVS was first going up, the Walgreens next door strategically put up a sign that read, "Proudly serving Edina for 40 years!" This gave me a little chuckle. Nevertheless, this CVS is not terribly different from your typical CVS, though it does have the added benefit of a MinuteClinic, 24-hour pharmacy, and drive-thru pharmacy -- likely because Walgreens offers almost exactly the same (and because this CVS is located in a wealthy suburb, so expectations are higher). Still, I enjoy CVS and Walgreens competing with each other close by. It makes comparison and sale-only shopping super easy, being practically a one-stop shop. read more

I prefer CVS to Walgreens for a couple of reasons. I would equate CVS with Target and Walgreens with Wal-Mart. CVS has nicer, wider, aisles. They also sell products I can't get at Target like saline solution for my contact lenses and Salma Hayek's Nuance line. (How do I love that Nuance line- it's super good! Quality products for a fraction of the price.) The staff at this location are pretty nice. They also honor CVS coupons that are expired. I also like how they have a front door and a back door. The parking lot is nice and wide and I don't feel like I am going to crash into somebody who's trying to get to the drive through. read more

For more than a decade this pharmacy used to have great customer service. Now they are horrible. I have gone veryday this week and still don't have my meds. Day 1 Wrong price on a medication staff says they will call insurence company to adjust Day 2 staff member with lab coat buttened uneven speaking to me with a lollypop in his mouth says my med isn't ready. Day 3 called ahead, they said med is ready, got there, wrong meds Day 4 called ahead, confirmed meds, waiited 45 minutes in line, no med. Asked to speak with manager, they said there was no manager on site. Day 5 (today), called ahead, meds were "restocked" she had "no idea" when they would be ready. I asked to speak to a manager, no manager on site, didnt know when a manager would be there, Staff member told me whe was not the regular pharmacist and didn't know when a regular pharmacist would be there. All of this while recieving daily text massages that me meds were ready for pick up. read more

I brought my daughter in to get a strep culture at 7:10. There website said they are open until 7:40 but wouldn't take a walk in after 7:00. They also wouldn't take my needles that they dispensed to put in their safe disposal that was right in front of me. They said maybe the fire department or library would take them. The same needles they gave me with my prescription! How is a library a safer place to dispose of a used needle than the pharmacy that gave it to me! read more

Been using the pharmacy and store for 5-6 years. Had a prescription that could only be partially filled in late December and they asked if I could come in another time to have at completed. When I came in, it was now 2017 and the pharmacy charged me the full co-pay (which was about 10X my original cost) because I was now in a new year. And it was their fault the prescription didn't get filled in the first place! I went from the store to a different pharmacy and transferred all my prescriptions. read more

Do not get your prescriptions filled at this location. They have been understaffed for months now. Nobody answers the phone there and you have to wait hours after the stated time to get your prescription. The manager at this location didn't care about these issues because she said the pharmacy is a different area. They said they are not able to pay employees enough to keep them or hire new staff. This is ridiculous for a company that is required to be used as part of an insurance plan. If CVS can't afford to pay comparable wages they should not be a requirement for an insurance company. read more

I recently switched from Walgreens on York to CVS. I have to say the wait time is better but there are some very rude receptionists back there. They seem to think that it is okay to lose all manners once they cross the treshhold. I know it was a common practice to always go above and beyond when I worked in costomer service. If you need passport photos to renew your foreign passports make this your first stop!!! After running all over town, we finally found a top notch rep that rescued us. Most CVS have the equipment but don't know they have it. Instead of using the machine that they use for US passport photos, they must use their APEX machine. Give them the country you need photos for or dimensions is our case 35mm by 45mm ( most countries) and you're done in 5 minutes. We got a page of 8 for 13.99!! read more

OMG if I could give zero I would. For second time in 30 days I've waited 6 days for a refill and still wasn't ready when I went to the drive thru. I sat on hold for 3 days in a row for over an hour after status was still in progress & they never picked up. Then I watched them fill it while I waited & they were so rushed I'm worried about mistakes. The pharmacist said they were 700 hundred scrips behind and 2 people working. CVS Edina employees treat their customers horribly: 1. Claiming they don't have any info about me or my prescription (this after sending me four text messages that my scrip is ready). 2. Ordering me to another cash register and then ordering me back to a third register without apologizing for their mistake. 3. Claiming they can't give me the much less expensive 3 months supply because my insurance company won't allow it, when CVS/Caremark IS my insurer, and I've received correspondence from them urging me to purchase 3 months at a time. I am forced to use CVS because my husband's employer, 3M, requires it. Okay, but I will not buy anything else, even a candy bar, from CVS. read more
