Let me start off by saying that the individual employees are pretty great here. They can only work with the tools they are given. I've had a lot of issues with one measly prescription that I take every day. This is the only med I'm on, and if I'm having this much trouble with one med, I can only imagine what others are going through. Example: I received a new prescription last month and was told no refills; no refills was on the container. I spent 45 minutes on hold with my clinic only to be told there were three refills on it and that the pharmacy info was incorrect. Okay, cool. So I called yesterday to pick up #2 and the automated system told me that it was available on 11/11 (this was 11/13) so I went to pick it up today and they told me they didn't have anything. They told me that it was set up for auto refill but they never got the alert. I was like, what can I do to fix these issues with my Rx? She told me that every is having trouble and not to trust the automated system. This is the biggest issue: there are not enough employees to deal with all of the calls if we cannot trust the automated system. What the heck? It's super unfortunate but it's getting to the point where I am about to change pharmacies. read more

It's kind of deranged how long the line gets but if you can make it at a not so busy time (like not on Saturday, not on Sunday, not between 4-7pm on any weekday, not any time that's convenient for most people) then maybe you can avoid it. But maybe not. (UPDATE just went on a Friday at 2:30 - very long line dont go then either.) I don't really care about that though which is why I give four stars. I've talked to these peeps on the phone before and they were nice to me. They're generally pretty nice. And a lot of times I put off getting my prescription for like two weeks and when I show up they always still have it which is nice. Thanks CVS read more

I HATE the Target pharmacy since they have merged with CVS. Their rules on refills are ridiculous for certain prescriptions. They also don't know how to count. They have their own rules for when they will fill things, where most places just go by whether or not your insurance will cover it. One of my Rx's is a 12 day supply. I've gone in on the 10th day to refill, and the guy tells me I have to wait about 6 more days. What? I understand they are a little more conservative, but he doesn't even know what he's talking about. I tell him to count on his fingers that it's been 10 days already and it's a 12 day (actually 11.5 if I take them as directed) supply. He says he'll look into it and then tells me he'll refill it the next day. Fine. Inconvenient, but whatever. It's not like I was trying to get it after 4 day or anything, or that it's even a "high risk" medication. I'm in the process of transferring all my prescriptions from Target to Walmart or Cub. Walgreens and CVS are both too strict. I understand there are people who abuse certain medications, but they are at the point of inconvenience for those who are honest and just have busy lives and can't always get to the pharmacy on the one day leeway they give you with refills. read more

CVS in the Richfield Target is surprisingly slow to serve their guests. I visited the pharmacy today to drop off a prescription. They have a drop off window where one should be able to drop off a prescription to be filled. Theoretically it should be quick; give a script to fill, key it in and boom done. But today there were tons of people there. I waited in line for 20 minutes, Not because there were so many people, but because there was only one cashier at the desk waiting on customers. I looked up and saw there were four other employees behind the desk (I'm assuming working on prescriptions) but none of them came out to help this one associate taking care of all of the guests. The poor lady working so hard to service everyone looked like she could use help, but no. They just kept on working and left her alone. Once the crowd was down to me and 1 other person, some lady previously standing around watching, came up and said, "I'm here. Don't panic." I looked at her with such a stare of disbelief and disgust, when she saw my face, she turned away and helped the other guest. I hate to play the race card here because I want to believe it wasn't about race, but it looked to me like the 4 ladies were attempting to make the older Latina helping guests sweat. I could see them looking up over at her many times and not once did the offer to help until only 2 guests were in line. Shameful. No. I am going to assume it was just poor judgement and hope that CVS management focus more on team building and giving great guest service. No matter your job, you stop what you are doing to help the guest waiting in line. Simple. read more

Every time I come here the line takes at least 20 min, no idea why. There are 7 people working in the pharmacy right now, one person is working the register...Have had issues with them not processing insurance correctly, so after I wait in line for 20-30 min, then they figure out how to process insurance correctly, then they say it will be 15-20 min to fill the med, then I have to wait in line again to get my script. This is the last time I am going to use this pharmacy. Ridiculous read more

The flu shot process is incredibly inefficient here. They make you stand in line first to sign up for a shot, then they tell you to come back in 10 minutes, then you have to go wait in line again to get up to the front of the line to ask if it's ready. Then, you have to wait for the pharmacist to be ready, then you wait by the side door for the pharmacist to come administer the shot. This was my experience. When my husband went, he waited in line, was told they would text when the shot was ready. He waited 20 minutes without a text, went to wait in line to see if it's ready, and was told "yep it's ready." He never did receive that text. The whole process took him 45 minutes to get a flu shot. This world needs people to get their flu shot, and the inefficient and incredibly time consuming process at CVS Target is not encouraging people to come back the next year. read more

Was hungry needed food , unfortunately chose the archer farms fried chicken and potato wedges, if you have a time and space travel machine and have a few millennia to spare you will not find a worse fried chicken, I would have been better off eating a old army boot with the foot still in it. While the pharmacy techs are generally nice enough, this location is so disorganized and the techs seem like they have no idea what's going on. While I was waiting to approach the counter, I waited to the tech to say "hello" or something, anything! I had three prescriptions to be picked up and only one was available. He then proceed to tell me he didn't know where they were. I had to tell him to please find out. Ugh... I'll be going back to Highland Park from now on where they totally have it together! read more

Horrible customer service. I had issues with their system telling me I had no refills when I actually had refills thru 2017. The pharmacy manager Kristen lied to me about contacting cvs help desk about the refill issue I had. She then yelled at me when I asked her why she lied to me. Kristen should not be allowed to deal with customers or dispense medications. read more

The merger of Target Pharmacy with CVS brought an end to any semblance of customer service at this location. The first time I refilled a Target cat prescription with the Richfield Target CVS the price had more than doubled. When I inquired, I was told "fluctuating market prices" were to blame. It wasn't until I fussed that the manager offered to enroll my cat in the CVS discount program, which brought the price of the prescription down to what it was originally. Hmmmm... Last night I went to pick up a prescription I had called in the night before. After standing in the Pick-Up line for at least 5 minutes, I was told the refill request had not been processed and I would need to wait in the Drop-Off line, which I then did, and was told to return in 15 minutes. All in all I wasted at least 20 minutes waiting in line or dealing with staff before I could even obtain the prescription, No explanation was given as to why the refill request didn't go through and the pharmacy staff were rude and defensive. I then discovered after I was already home that the idiots had given me the wrong drug. I am moving all of my prescriptions to Walgreen's. read more
