Sometimes, I stop again in Rochester before heading back. I don't believe that I did on this trip because the winds were gusty and I wanted warmth. I can do this entire day trip on a tank of gas with the right vehicle. With a rented Jeep, I hit Roseville on my way back to the hotel and the low-gas indicator came on. My usual gas station is the BP in Eagan. When you are about to roll in to a gas station with an almost empty tank and realize that the gas station has been demolished, that sinking, sick, empty stomach feeling is never good. Both my empty tank and stomach weren't expecting my go-to gas station to be gone. I can't tell whether it will resurrect itself as a better BP for if it's gone for good. Luckily, I did remember this Speedway roughly a block away. I rolled into that one. I love Speedway as much as BP. Why? As a Canadian, I can use my Canadian credit card at the gas pump and not have to deal with entering a ZIP code. I don't have one. Many gas pumps to cater to American credit cards. This one is Canadian-friendly. Yay! I was pleased to fuel my rental car. What a relief! This gas station was bright at around 8 pm. It was clean at and around the pump. No complains here. This Speedway does have a convenience store. I didn't need to enter the store, but it's good to know that it's there if I need snacks and drinks. I need to do some research on whether Speedway has an app. I know that it has a rewards program. I may need to sign up for it. This gas station is open 24 hours a day. It's comforting and cool. I may have found my new go-to station. (463)

This made me feel very uncomfortable because I come to this speedway atleast 3 times a week and have interacted with both Robyn the store manager and Vee the assistant and have seen and heard how they treat the employees and customers and that is why I continue to come back to speedway but, if an employee can call children bastards to their parents face and it's ok. I don't need to come back to this speedway. This is not a good employee. On other occasions he has been cussing people out saying very inflammatory things in relation to Somalis. It didn't help that the gentleman yesterday was Somali. Never have i seen such disrespect and this employee Jose will single handedly cause the downfall of this location. Best regards, A regular at this speedway.

It's across from North Country Nutrition (NCN) and Caribou Coffee that I frequent regularly. Last month, after having grabbed drinks from NCN, I needed to fill my rental car's gas tank up before doing a day trip down to my old stomping grounds in Rochester, and visiting my late friend in northern Iowa. I decided to check out this gas station. I had no problem entering this gas station and finding an available gas pump. I scanned my rewards barcode on my phone. I then inserted my credit card to pay at the pump before fuelling. It was doing steady business while I was there. My fuelling went well. My rental car had one of those capless fuel systems. Once you're done fuelling, you need to wait at least five seconds before you remove the fuel nozzle. This gas station was clean. The only downside was getting in my car and hearing some man at the gas station say something over the speaker system. I'd like to think that my hearing is pretty good, but I felt like a hard-of-hearing senior who couldn't comprehend what was going on around me. Think Lucy from Peanuts daydreaming in class and not hearing what her teacher was saying. Wah wah woh wah wah! Other than the weird speaker system experience, It's a decent gas station when you need to fuel your car. There is a convenience store attached to it. I didn't drop by. Maybe I will next time I'm in the area. (435)

I like the former because I can pay for gas through the BP app without whipping out my credit card. Sadly, I couldn't log in to my BP account in late September. The site was being annoying and wasn't authenticating properly. Instead, I hit this Speedway. Speedway also has an app, but you can't pay for gas on it. You can scan your app's QR code for your rewards at the pump. On the rare occasion that the QR code doesn't scan properly, you can submit your receipt on the app and it works well. I've been to this gas station a few times now. I never have an issue finding an available gas station. Filling up has always been smooth. It's also impeccably clean. This Speedway has a convenience store. I have yet to set foot in it. I was here a couple of weeks ago. It was unseasonably hot. Seeing firewood in front of me felt weird. It's perfect if you need logs for your fireplace to get some here. The location is decent. It's off Cedar Avenue, which is convenient. It's also close to where I normally stay in Bloomington, near Mall of America. It's a good gas station. (410)

I found this BP station. I headed over. This BP is in Diffley Square. I had no problem pulling into the station and parking next to a gas pump. The gas pumps are a bit older. You basically need to flip the lever upward to start the fuel flow. I paid through the BP app, which I love for its convenience and reliability. It was clean around the gas pump that I was using. I used the garbage receptacle. It was recently attended to, so there was plenty of storage available. I learned hours later that my regular BP station a bit north from this place has been bulldozed. Oh, no! I don't know whether it will be resurrected or if it's gone forever. In the meantime, this one may be my regular one. I had a great experience. (446)

When I got back from my road trip to Des Moines, I needed to refuel my rental car. I did a quick search and found this gas station. It was easy to find and pull into. Instead of fumbling for my credit card and standing outside the gas pump longer to get my card approved to start filling up my gas tank, I did everything in my car. When the gas pump was unlocked, I simply fuelled my car, took my receipt, and headed into my car to warm up. This gas station is unique. I have never seen any BP convenience store in the Twin Cities sell vapes, tackle, bait, and hookah flavours. It's truly unique. I didn't need any of them, but it's good to know where to go if I do. The fishing supplies make sense, as this BP is near Long Meadow Lake. I'm guessing that while folks fish and wait for a bite on their line, they vape and smoke, with fancier folks doing the hookah thing. I dropped by this gas station before I returned my car rental at the airport. I also had another seamless transaction, topping off my gas tank and using the app to accomplish this task. This gas station is roughly a two-minute drive from the hotel where I was staying last weekend. The challenge that most Canadians have is using a Canadian credit card at an American gas pump. Typically, it doesn't work because you are prompted to enter a zip code. Canadians have postal codes. For a while, I get away with entering the three numbers in my postal code, followed by two zeroes at any American gas pump. It works well. Try it! It beats going into the gas station to prepay for gas and explaining to the person working the counter this entire complication. I had no problem filling up my car with gas. There's a convenience store if you need to get munchies or something. It's pretty clean. There were a handful of pumps being used by other customers. I had no problems finding a free one, filling up, and getting on with my day. (49)
