Once again returning for a CVS visit wondering why the atmosphere is literally deceased. I can't tell if I'm in a morgue or CVS. Everyone here including employees seems like they'd rather be anywhere else. The only reason we use this CVS is because our insurance does not work with the other pharmacies. (Ie walgreens) This pharmacy has ALWAYS been the worst ever. Making mistakes, putting the wrong medication, saying the medicine is ready to be picked up but it wasn't ready to be picked up. It may be worth the extra drive and go to the other CVS in North Bergen. That one is run super efficiently. The other cvs in target, we are trying that one oh next bc it's closer. Review is for the Pharmacy only: Unbelievable how rude and uncaring this pharmacy staff is. I used to come here regularly to get my prescriptions but now take all my business to the Walgreens down the street (who are absolutely fantastic by the way). Bad Encounter #1: Started receiving a new prescription. Went to go drop it off and the girl with the short black hair (if one thing is consistent across these bad reviews it is her) takes one look at my script and informs me "yeah we don't have that", didn't look at the computer, the shelves, nothing. A little taken back - i asked if she wouldn't mind calling the CVS down the street if they have it in stock. "We can't do that here". yeah OK. It didn't have to be said, I was being profiled for the prescription i was being given - as she rudely handed back the prescription without looking at me and went back to whatever mundane task she was given. Remember ladies you took a Hippocratic oath too. Bad Encounter #2: My doctor wrote me a script. I was having trouble getting a hold of them for a refill, but after a little back and forth I received a phone call from their weekend crew advising that they had called it in to this CVS location. I waltzed back into the pharmacy and informed them of the conversation I had and if they could check and fill it **please**. Pharmacist yells over to the tech "what's he trying to get?", tech loudly announces my prescription to the whole store (not loud enough lady - i don't think the people outside heard you). "nah i can't just GIVE him that". Seriously?? Can you show even the slightest bit of professionalism and integrity??? After bad encounter #2 i vowed never to return here. Once again at 5pm waiting 20 minutes at the drive through to pick up my medication only to be told it hasn't be filled yet ! I called at 1pm to make sure it would be ready they yes I can pick it up after 2 Pm. This is not the first time. If they didn't have the medication why tell me to pick it up. About 20 minutes later, close to 9pm, I get a text from CVS saying they were filling my rx but needed my updated insurance information. The girl knew who I was when I called, without saying my name. She said they 'legit just got it called in'. That was suspicious since NY (where my doc is) has a new state law about prescriptions only being electronically sent out. So why would they call it in? I digress. I asked for the pharmacy to transfer the prescription to a NYC CVS. They said yes. The next morning I went to the NYC CVS. My CVS app no longer had my prescriptions (should've taken a screenshot). The NYC CVS didn't see it in the system either and called the Edgewater CVS. Nada. Zilch. The girl(s) at Edgewater CVS DELETED my prescriptions. The story doesn't end there, but I will end the review here. Yes, this is a rant on customer service, but more important, it's not cool messing with someone's medication!! The lousy rating on Yelp speaks for itself - and I'm not alone. DON'T come here. Can't believe this place hasn't been reviewed. I've been coming here since I moved back to the area. Service is usually friendly and I came here for my flu shot last year. I favor this location for the convenience and because of the frequent email coupons that I receive for being part of their CVS rewards program. It's a typical CVS and carries a multitude of items. This is my go to place for convenience items when I just don't want to take the extra time and go to Pathmark. It would be amazing if they put a Minute Clinic in this location. read more

I've read some of the negative reviews and I don't get it. EACH AND EVERYTIME I go there they are kind, sweet and helpful. Further, the ladies at the pharmacy never have lost a prescription unlike other pharmacies I've witnessed and they are quick and efficient in terms of service. Just as an example, I had to get a prescription for my son. It's one of those meds that costs close to $1000 and because I have not fulfilled my deductible, ALL of that would be out of pocket. I whine a bit about the costs and the pharmacist then walks me through how to get a coupon for the meds on a website which then saves me over $300!! A godsend I'm a fan of these guys and they are even gentle and sweet when I come in for my annual flu shot. They make things very easy and pleasant for me. read more

The pharmacist needs an attitude adjustment. She's unfriendly, extremely rude, and not professional at all. I don't care if people know I'm taking medication or whatever but she was saying it very loudly and kept repeating it. -.- okay I heard you the first time you don't have to shout and let the rest of the store hear it. My husband and I took our disposable camera from our honeymoon there to be developed. They told us it'd take about 3 weeks to a month, so we followed up accordingly. First time, they said they still didn't have it. Second time the same thing and they told that they would call us once it arrived. We gave them two more weeks. We received no call. Finally we call back and they tell us that they lost all of our pictures. They told us that we were aware that our pictures were being sent over the mail and could be lost. Never in my life have I met a more ignorant crowd of workers, you would think they where doing me a favour, moved to New Jersey in January didn't have a great feeling about them but said everyone has bad days, so gave them another try but to no avail, had to go for serious surgery, my surgeons Nurse practitioner rang to ask if I had received a certain pain killer etc from them and told her yes I had got my limit for month, first of all never got any pain killers from them, felt like I was telling lies to the Nurse, so all in all was sent home from hospital with no medication after serious spinal surgery, rang myself and was told no never had any medication questioned them why they told her I did, couldn't tell me they said, so then I got on to my surgeon mad more inquiries to them, and yes never got anything from them, all in all I have been in agony, had to send my daughter to Englewood to collect prescription for me I live in Edgewater, and she doesn't drive, so all in all, this has really put me off CVS Edgewater, I would stay away from them I'm now going to a wonderful family run pharmacy with 24 hr personal service, I can't stress how much inconvenience and pain and embarrassment they have caused me, but this won't be the end of me, they are a disgrace and should be struck off. Go to Duane Reade by Wholefoods. Due to insurance, I had to find a CVS. I was incredibly upset as DR runs like a family owned pharmacy. They really do everything they can for you and are so respectful and positive. Now THIS place, this CVS in Edgewater, is the opposite of everything I just wrote. They don't want you to ask anything- you're bothering them. They hate working there and it shows. The pharmacist is a snob and always wants to leave a few minutes BEFORE closing time. So if you rushed to get there and it's 10 to closing, it's the end of the world for them. Who needs this ?! Go somewhere else for meds so they start to question why numbers are down and realize it's the staffs miserable-selves driving customers away.
