The store portion itself is OK. Definitely in need of a facelift but a serviceable CVS. I also like that they have the self checkout lanes. It makes getting in and out a little easier if the store is busy. The pharmacy though? Hoooooo boy. What a joke. Now I will say, every person in the pharmacy I have interacted with has been (usually) fairly helpful and pleasant. It just seems like the place is woefully understaffed at all times for the number of customers they service with their pharmacy. Doesn't matter if I come in after work on a Monday or late night on a Thursday or early on a Sunday morning...the line is always at least 3 deep (usually more). Things haven't been filled in a timely manner or I have to call because there is some sort of issue with getting it filled. And oh, the many many minutes of my life I have lost on hold with them. If my call gets answered in under 5, it's a small miracle. And it's been like this for the 2+ years I've been going to them to get prescriptions filled. read more

Honestly one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I asked a simple question and a white male employee immediately caught an attitude and started arguing with me for no reason. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. On top of that, the store was dirty and unsanitary -- I literally saw rats fighting in the back of the store. I dont know who the manager or general manager of this area or this particular CVS 802 Lansdowne ave Drexel Hill) but they should be FIRED! Something is clearly wrong here. All the reviews and most if not all are very very bad. Nothing is ever in stock. The staff is beyond incompetent. The pharmacist (woman) is nice and will answer your questions. However the younger pharmacy staff are not that bright. They know nothing about insurances and will charge you out of pocket before they run your insurance. Pure laziness. I get a text saying medication is available and ready, only to make the trip to find out it's not! Take heed here, we see what has happened to Rite Aide. Myself and a few friends have since switched our prescriptions to Amazon pharmacy and it's been amazing! Meds always available and insurance is always ran FIRST. We dont have to travel anywhere meds are delivered right to our door. This CVS location here is making all others look like trash. My doctor"s office sent in a prescription to this location this past Thursday. I received a text a message the same day stating that the medication is out of stock. When I called today to get status on the request, I was told by the pharmacist that for prescriptions that are received on Fridays, that are out of stock, the medications are not ordered until the following Monday. However, they received my doctor's request on Thursday. The pharmacist was rude and condescending, and felt that she didn't owe me a valid explanation for the ordering delay, since I decided to have the prescription sent to another CVS location, hoping to get better service. I'm totally giving up on this location. I've come here for years & the service as well as the available items has declined tremendously. There are so very few employees working the retail section (1-2) that you have to travel the store to find help. The product shelves & aisles are untidy with many shelves absent of products. As for the pharmacy, I'm not pleased with the service there either. The lines are long & wait time can be frustrating. I do understand that this is one of the busiest locations that is also open 24 hours. However, there is a need for more employees to accommodate the amount of customers to be served. Overall, I use to love coming to this location & shopping with CVS. I may try another location before I decide to switch my medications to another pharmacy. read more

Avoid this pharmacy at all costs ! My doctor called in Paxlovid for me at 8:45 p.m. because I tested positive for COVID. He said I should start taking it ASAP. I wanted to start taking it tonight. I waited 2 hours and called for a status. The voicemail said someone would call me back in 1 hour. No one called. 2 hours later at 11:15 p.m. I called again and was on hold for 35 minutes before I gave up. Dispicable Representation of corp GREED!! This is the only CVS remotely close to our home to get a prescription after 9pm.. It was necessary couldn't wait ...Arrived to find a line of 10 people which wouldn't be terrible... until it was brought to our attention by an angry customer that there is only 1 employee!!! Not a review of the entire pharmacy. This is a review only of the vaccine area. We came here, not our regular CVS, because they had the Pfizer Covid booster. This is the worst nurse ever. There's a line 10 people deep and she's chit-chatting instead of administering vaccines. I've been on line for over an hour while I type this and still haven't gotten my shot. This pharmacy has very consistently provided a horrible customer service experience. The drive through is completely useless. It's inconsistently staffed. The light being on has no relation to whether or not you'll be helped. I'm super sympathetic to understaffed businesses but this pharmacy has by far been the most abysmal. I called the CVS in Drexel Hill to ask if they could fill it they, "said since it's ordered by CVS @ 7520 City Avenue they can't fill it so now I have to wait. I have had CVS Carepass deliver my prescriptions for several years from this location. Since the start of 2024, the CVS app stopped giving me the option to have my prescriptions delivered. I have to call CVS each time to beg to get my prescriptions delivered. The first three times they finally agreed to deliver, and each time I got a unique reason why the delivery option was not appearing. First I heard that some insurance companies won't allow some prescriptions to be delivered (none of these are narcotics and they were delivered before), then I heard that they don't have a credit card on file (I have two credit cards on file), then I was told I have to download the app, and now I am being told I have to call the corporate office because the CVS store does not control the app. I have a disability and need the prescriptions delivered. I pay for Carepass and their advertising is deceptive. My next steps are to report them to the appropriate state and federal agencies for fraud read more

I definitely would not recommend coming here unless 100% necessary, especially if you need help at the pharmacy. I've lived in this neighborhood for 8 years and it's always super crowded and the pharmacists are incredibly unhelpful and grumpy whenever I visit. Just recently they gave my mom attitude when she called about her prescription being filled and they asked her why she was even prescribed it and -hung up-. This pharmacy is just awful. Never have orders ready when they say they will. Often don't have meds in stock and have to order them. I've had to go as much as 5 days without my meds because of this. Now, in the last week, they've made two errors in my meds. When I called them on it they tried to put it back on me. I'm a medical person and know better and they became more apologetic. It worries me how many mistakes they've may have made that people wouldn't catch it. I've had it. I'll be switching pharmacies once this mess gets straightened out. If you're looking for a pharmacy, I'd say find another, even if it means you have to drive a little further. read more

Parking is usually not a problem, but sometimes it is if Casey's is packed. Prices vary, but look for sales--there can be some good ones. Customer service has been good for me over the years. Store is pretty easy to navigate. The pharmacy gets backed up from time to time. read more

So I just got accused of stealing something while I was in line paying for a $200 item. I bought a summertime umbrella for my table in my front yard and left but realized I needed something. As I was standing in line, I had some kid walk up to me and say "I'm going to need you to go back out and bring that umbrella back in that you didnt pay for"............ Hello! This is my favorite CVS location because of convenience and distance. I love the self serve checkout lines. The only thing that I do not like about the self serve checkout lines is if they say bills only or no cash, only credit/debit. Today was the first time that I had an issue with the self serve and I have been coming here for years. I scanned my extracard and then I scanned my first item. No problem. I tried to scan my second item and it wouldn't scan. The scanner was like frozen in place. I tried several times, but to no avail. There were about two other customers in the other self serve lines, so I decided to hop over to the associate who was helping someone else. I hopped over to her line and waited patiently. When it was my turn to be waited on, don't you know I forgot my wallet, silly me, I apologized to the associate and I flew outside to retrieve my wallet. When I arrived back inside, there was another customer in line with the associate. She had an issue. So I patiently waited again. This time, Neha rang up my purchases again. She was so nice and attentive and patient. She smiled the entire time. I apologized again to her for not having my wallet and inconveniencing her. She smiled and nodded. I also wanted to do another transaction with my Serve card. I added money to it and she assisted me with that, with no issues or problems. I was very happy and satisfied when I left CVS. I have to say that the people up front usually try to work hard to please people not making a stand in line much I think the store is huge and they have just about everything you could want, but I must say that getting prescriptions here are the biggest nightmare in the universe I've never seen so many people working behind the counter and it moving so slow. I think CVS needs to update the way that they fill prescriptions maybe they need to start putting in those machines where all they do is keep it stocked and they actually did a drop down the prescription in little packets that you then take up front and pay for? I think the pharmacist aren't as nice as they could be and I know that they always seem to have a line they're waiting for prescriptions somebody do something and set us free who wants to spend their life standing in line for a prescription especially if you get more than one a month? read more

I don't know why I stayed here for as long as I did. I have was Lied to disrespected over and over for years. They go days out of stock of meds I get monthly. . I.'ve been stuck in the drive thru for over 40 minutes with no way out to get to work so I called while stuck in line only to be hung up on twice. The average wait time on the phone is 20 to 30 minutes and really doesn't do any good because there is no customer service whatsoever. It seems as they could really care less that it's been three days they been promising me medicine. try back tomorrow is all they say for 3 days. This is the absolutely worst pharmacy in the area. Constantly crowded with poor customer service. Called in a prescription on Saturday the 5th at 9:00 am. Came back at 11:00 am and they said they didn't have it because they were having trouble with the drive thru. They said it would be ready in 15 minutes. Then came back on the 9th and then said it was on order. Talked to the rude pharmacist and he said he had no record of me ordering it. Showed my automatic text from CVS on the 5th stating it was on order and he still said "his screen said otherwise". Demanded the name of his supervisor and he said he didn't know it. Open 24/7 and the employees are super friendly. They always greet you as you come in and thank you as you leave. They are always around to help you find something that you cannot locate. They usually only have self-check out open, but are quick to scan someones items and bag them for anyone who don't know how to operate them. read more
