We brought our 1 year old for photos, a service this CVS actively advertises. Instead of even attempting to do their job, they flat out refused service, claiming that "at that age it's too difficult." No effort. No flexibility. No professionalism. Just excuses. The person in charge, George, was shockingly rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. This is not how anyone, especially a manager or supervisor should treat paying customers. If a service is too much "work" for your staff, then don't offer it. Simple. Customer service here is clearly an afterthought. The attitude was lazy, condescending, and completely out of line. George has no business being in a customer facing role, let alone in charge of others. If you value your time, your family, or basic respect, do yourself a favor and stay away from this CVS. There are plenty of other locations and businesses that actually understand what customer service means. Disappointing, frustrating, and unacceptable. read more

I saw someone say, "They try there best," in a review, which I'd argue as being very generous. They will leave you waiting as the first person in line for 15 minutes without acknowledging you, or any comments regarding the wait. They will do this while servicing the drive through line as a priority for no apparent reason. The floor is disgusting, it looks like it couples as a toilet and there are often junkies stationed outside, making it feel very unsafe when you have your young child with you. There are better pharmacies in the neighborhood. Do not give them your business. read more

No one here wants to engage with the public. You can practically see the panic in their eyes when someone asks for help, followed by the classic vanishing act behind the nearest endcap. Forget being walked to an aisle -- you'll be lucky if someone even points in the general direction. And if the app swears your item is "in store," prepare yourself for a game of hide-and-seek, because no one here will lift a finger to help you find it. The self-checkout situation? Out of control. Employees stand guard, earbuds in, deep in conversation with their abuela or novio, while customers fend for themselves. Watching, not helping -- it's an art form at this point. This store doesn't need a memo; it needs a miracle. The retraining ship has long since sailed. Hi, I am writing because the pharmacy manager Richard Williams treated me with such condescension and rudeness today that I literally spent the first part of my afternoon writing this review and calling CVS national headquarters to document the incident. I looked through a number of these Yelp reviews, and found that unsurprisingly, many other customers have had awful experiences with Richard. I hope that CVS corporate will do something. I was at the front of the line and was trying to use a GoodRX coupon. The associate told me to wait so that Richard could process the coupon. Richard was busy giving a vaccine to anoher customer and still another customer was waiting for him as well. In a gentle voice, I asked the associate if by any chance he could process the coupon, as associates have done that for me before at this location. Richard abruptly pulled the needle out of the shoulder he was vaccinating (the customer looked perplexed at the suddenness of it) and screamed "How dare you yell at my associate? Everyone here is angry with you. Mortified, I walked to the side, and another associate took pity on me and decided to help me. I asked her for a national number so I could report the incident with Richard. The associate, who was very kind, apologized for Richard, saying "He's just overwhelmed." This is not an excuse--I am an elementary school teacher and my job is all about keeping calm if I'm overwhelmed. Richard had let his emotions get the best of him. Richard heard me whispering and said "What are you saying? How dare you speak behind my back?" I told him that I felt humiliated, that I had spoken calmly, and would like an apology. He said, "What's the problem? You got your medication. Stop harassing me." I said, "I have the medication, but I've lost my dignity. I feel awful right now." I started crying and left the store. After this, I went home and called the national CVS hotline to document the incident. To CVS's credit, the woman I spoke with validated my concerns and spoke to me with professionalism. Still, I am honestly considering switching CVS locations even though this one is near my home. I should add that the associates, including April and Raul, treated me with kindness and respect. read more

While in Miami I needed to pick up a few items for my room. Typical CVS but I prefer the locations back home in Alabama. I was very happy to find some hot cheese popcorn since I could never find it locally. This location had ok inventory....nothing special. There were several self-check out registers. It seems like the employee preferred you use the self- checkout. I don't recall there being a parking lot but there was street parking available. Mask recommended but not required in Florida. read more

He is condescending and talks behind your back after you leave without responding to his ironic comments, like "have a nice day" when he has just turned down two requests to a customer of over twenty years. today, I left my phone after waiting there for an hour and when I came back for it he said he has hoped I Wouldn't return so he could keep it. I often participate in surveys when I have great experiences, I wish I could do the same with this pharmacy. I'd like to start off with the fact that CVS and their automated phone system is awful, not the stores fault but the wait time certainly is. As well as the fact that they pretty much have no more cashiers in the store itself. I refuse to work by scanning my own items after leaving work! Most of the pharmacy staff is utterly rude. I use this pharmacy b/c my insurance covers most of the meds and they have a drive through. I have rheumatoid arthritis, which makes it a little rough to walk some days.. I called today and asked one of the pharmacist if I could use GoodRx and conjunction with my insurance (TV ad says they do) she said "no, it's one or the other." So when I asked for the price with each, she sighed and said "ma'am you're just gonna have to come in the store for that I can't do that right now." I had that prescription filled the week and a half ago by my doctor and it they sent a text saying it was ready, I had already been to the store three times (to show them the text) only to be told It was not in stock! I switched to Walgreens even though there's no drive through. They are helpful, polite and still have cashiers! I absolutely do not recommend this CVS to anyone. Bring back your employees and get some nicer ones! read more

This is my go-to, neighborhood CVS and my review is primarily for the pharmacy. I typically hate going to the pharmacy, usually it's a nightmare and a half. However, at this CVS both the drive thru and the walk-in line are usually pretty efficient. The team there is also really nice, and you can tell they have some regular customers who they are very friendly with - which gives this spot a neighborhood feel. When it comes to the rest of the store - they have everything you need of course. I'm a fan of their wide variety of elf makeup products, they make a girl look glam on the cheap so +10 for you, CVS. The checkout line in the front though, always seems to be a mission. Thankfully, I usually just go in and out to the Pharmacy, so it isn't a problem for me at all. read more

The pharmacy should just grab their phones, all of their phones and throw them in the garbage. Because not only do you wait 45min to over an hr to get an answer, many times youll be put on hold 45 min to over an hour and then hung up on. If you come to the pharmacy, you hear the "phone call for pharmacy" play in the speaker over and over and every person in pharmacy ignore the calls. Even when they are not necessarily fully tied up. They should advertise that they have no phones and that everyone should come into the store if they want their rx filled or if theres an issue. Awful customer service. I am a Director of Customer Service and work with the public. This cvs needs some major customer service training, and maybe some staffing changes. I went in for one item. The line wasn't clear so I was asking someone if they were in line, when what looks like a manager came up and screamed "the line starts over here, people!" Embarrassed, I went to the line. Waited. Had another staff person yell at me to go to the self-checkout when it opened up. Then I found out it didn't take cash. Got back in line, and had the person at the register tell me to go to a different line. Finally tried to use a coupon for my one item and it didn't work. I gave up and walked out. I came into contact with at least 6 employees and not one said "hi" or "how are you today?" Or "how can I help you". These are the basics people. Next time try "hi" instead of yelling at your customers. read more

Richard Williams in the pharmacy says he's the manager and is extremely rude. I called because I'm almost out of my medication that I take in a continual basis. Before I could even check the status of my meds he scolded me and told me to look on my bottle and figure it out: he explained they don't have time to waste to go over refills over the phone?!?! First of all my prescription is due and sometimes it is out of stock. I wanted to give him my RX number and he gave me so much attitude with condescension and a verbal attack. He literally went back and forth with me wasting a bunch of unnecessary time. He could've just looked it up and went in to the the next customer. Needless to say my script was supposed to be refilled a few weeks ago. This employee is hostile, and needs a new job and a hug, but not from me. Customer service is not his forte, he should probably allow the other staff to answer the phones and deal with customers...good luck of you have to deal with this hateful person. I've seen him in person as well, he seems to have a major chip on his shoulders. read more

The phone number to the front never connects to anyone. I came here in the pouring rain to have my passport photo taken as it states on the website AND right there in the store that it can be done and the woman working still refused to take the passport photo. She then went on to also tell me you cannot print photos at the store despite there being an entire photo section dedicated to printing photos. Zero stars if I could. read more

I had not seen the reviews before but definetly, DO NOT SHOP here if you are minority. 100% Discrimination against latinos, mental health patients etc. I have been dealing with them for 2 weeks. Not even CVS corporation cares. JENNNIFER is the manager from the pharmacy and she got a free pass to discriminate whoever she wants without issue. Regional manager is a joke. He called from a non id number did not leave me his number and now is MIA. They made me get off my meds cold turkey because it was either I pay FULL price for my medication or I had to do their job. My Doctor AND the insurance told me " we wish we can do more but we cannot get in the CVS system" in the meantime, CVS was telling me they (Doctor and Insurance) needed to send them something- apparently without them doing anything. It is very scary to see that in a place like Coconut grove where there is so much diversity they still allow business to run like they are running this one. I have filed a formal complaint because this has cost me to miss hours from my work, to be in bed because I was not able to get my medication and above all, such an emotional distress to know that it was JUST because I am minority. Shame on CVS for not caring and shame on the individuals that work there for not caring either. That is why the world is how it is. PS. I moved to coconut grove in November and began using this CVS as my pharmacy since it is down the street from my house. The CVS locations in NJ and NY that I previously went to had great customer service and lovely employees l. I could not feel more differently about this CVS. The pharmacist is rude with every single interaction I have had with him. If I ask a question on why my prescription still is not ready after over a week since my doctor called it in, he will give attitude and act like it isn't his problem. Also, every time I call, I have to wait at least an hour to get in touch with someone to assist (I've called at least 10 times in the last 4 months and it is consistently over an hour wait time). I will now be driving 10 min to another CVS to use as my pharmacy, as even though this location is only a 2 min walk from me, it is not worth dealing with the disrespectful and unprofessional pharmacist. This is CVS has the worst pharmacy in Miami. I have been given wrong medications, told to wait for a medication and told 25 minutes later that they don't have the medication after all. The main pharmacist has a crappy attitude and I drive to South Miami to get my prescriptions even though I live in the Grove. This is a clean, well-stocked CVS close (within walking distance) to the farmer's market and the hotels in the Coconut Grove neighborhood. There's also a post-office on the same block. This locations is a great place to pick up last minute sunblock, water and anything else the TSA wouldn't let bring in your carry-on luggage for your vacation. read more

This pharmacy is awful. First of all, the pretend to be open until midnight but the pharmacy part closes at 9pm. So we drove, very sick, all the way there, arrived at 9:15pm and were told to come back tomorrow. We have a sick infant so we were obviously upset about the misleading hours. Then we drove to another cvs a few miles away and they couldn't process our RX because the first cvs had started "processing it with our insurance" before they clocked out at went home at 9pm. So now we have to spend the night suffering, losing time that the medicine could have been making us better, and get up early to go back at 8am...with a sick baby! All of this because of misleading hours and corporate greed (they had tome to get paid and file with our insurance, but no time to give us the medicine we so badly needed). What a joke. And as a side note, the manager of this store is always in a crap mood. I think her name is Katherine. She is never kind or welcoming. I wish I didn't have this cvs so close to my house. Sorry but I was not thrilled about coming here. The checkout lanes were not only full, but they moved very slowly, and worst of all, they did not allow cash back on any purchase. I was attending a performance with a friend, and it was very disappointing to see that we could not get cash back on my soda to tip the performers.
