Extremely rude strange encounter with pharmacist. Trying to ask a question about their hours and if they had changed recently, and she contorts her face and looks at me like I'm a crazy person. I said maybe a couple years ago you guys were open later ? She's like I don't know. I don't remember those things. Her face look like I just asked her for her Social Security number, I'm being polite and being received with incredulity and hostility. What a failure of customer service by this rude lady. I only give this 2 stars because the cashiers remember me from when I was a child and always smile and say hello. I have mixed feelings about this location. The pharmacy is usually a great experience. I go through the drive thru and though theres usually a line, it does move quick. Well to me anyways. Inside, the store is always clean. Very well presented. I havent had any staff members be rude to me. I have encountered being harassed by another customer and the cashier didnt do anything about it. Just stared. But hey ‍. Ive honestly encountered some weird people inside and outside this location. Still better than the one across the street. I usually go here because it's close to my house and 24/7. My typical interaction with customer service has been impeccable and I actually look forward to going. Last night I was having a small holiday get together and went out to get s'mores ingredients and beer for friends and family. I went in with my friend (female 42) her daughter (19) and myself (female 30). We got scolded by some older Latin lady who refused to sell us wine and beer. My friend who forgot her wallet in the car went out to get our IDs was told she couldn't buy anything because she had her daughter and we were "clearly lying because we were all teenagers" when we both clearly look our age. As much as I guess that was a compliment, her and I both had legal IDs and wrinkles to back up that we are adults. I've never dealt with such unprofessional behavior. read more

This Wallgreens located on the US1 was like our salvation to the thirst we had!!! We went inside this one because we were extremely thirsty and bought water from here. Only two cashiers at this busy location and even though the guys working in here were super nice, it was too much for them. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I called 5-6 times and was put on hold IMMEDIATELY, with no greeting or "give us a moment we'll be back" When I informed Jose that him and his staff was unprofessional and rude, he suggested I "stop complaining and give them a break since they have like 5 other calls." His solution to me only having one pill and my prescription being too early to fill was to "look around your house, I'm sure you just lost it." If I could give this place 0 stars.... I would. The worst customer service I ever experienced. I've been to many Walgreens and have never been talked to this way. As I was shopping for a dry shampoo I accidentally sprayed the product and immediately was yelled at by the representative in the cosmetic check out. She said and I quote " Excuse me don't be spraying the product." I attempted to placed the product back on shelf when all of a sudden in a aggressive tone was told by the representative "Don't put in back on the shelf. You sprayed it didn't you? So you now need to give it to me." I nicely walked over to her from the aisle I was in and handed it to her. I highly recommend that Walgreens does a customer service training on how to properly treat their customers. So that they may continue to have returning business. My husband and I used to come here weekly, until we checked out with this old, Latin version of a "Karen." Aunt Flo just visited so I wanted wine and chocolate. She refused to sell us wine. He provided his (he's 45) and I showed the Flordia Smart ID showing I was 33. She didn't care and blamed "policy". Please have all your employees updated on technology and apps bc if I can use Smart ID at the airport, I should be able to use it at Walgreens. read more

This Walgreens is in a really convenient location right on the corner of US-1 and Douglas Road. It's where I end up when I've forgotten to buy something elsewhere and I need to pick up a few items quickly. I haven't filled any prescriptions here, but their regular pharmacy section is pretty well-stocked. I have been here many a time for an emergency cough medicine, allergy pill, or what have you. I like the Walgreens brand products, as they are comparable to the brand names and quite a bit cheaper. The greeting card selection here is pretty good. I don't like spending tons on a card that I figure is going to end up in the trash. Here, they have nice, pretty cards for a decent price. I can usually find one that I think is perfect for whoever I'm shopping for. Contrary to popular belief, some of us women hate asking for directions. I really would rather waste an extra 10 minutes just to find something by myself. I have found this store to be nicely organized, and the few times I've been in a rush and asked for help, the people have been able to point me in the right direction. The biggest issue I've had here was with the photo department. I ordered some prints online, and when I came to pick them up they were printed weirdly, like the picture was sized too big for the paper (despite the fact that I carefully checked the preview online). I had to go back a couple times just to get it right and was annoyed! Overall, this is my backup for little emergencies! read more

If you have time to waste then this is the place to be. This Walgreens offers the same products as any other Walgreens and it's located conveniently off of US 1. My issue is that the wait to checkout is normally long and the shelves are somewhat empty, looks like restocking isn't a priority. read more

I've been to this pharmacy a couple of times and so far so good. I came here after the pharmacist at the Walgreens in coral way and 35th Ave told me he couldn't fill my daughters prescription because the Dr. Didn't write the amount of days the Meds should be taken. Well apparently the pharmacy tech here is better at reading prescriptions than that other pharmacist. Go figure. The staff here is also lore personable. I dropped of a prescription that they did not have in stock. They called and told me. Then went ahead and called another Walgreens to check if they had it. They filled it and called me back when they verified it was available. I will continue to go here. The bad: drive thru is useless. You will wait and wait and be ignored. PHARMACY STAFF IS RUDE AND DOES NOT CARE!!! I recently moved here and needed to transfer my prescriptions to a pharmacy close by, I unfortunately chose this Walgreens. I had accidentally gave them an expired Insurance card. When a pharmacy member, who was training a new employee, realized this he vocally in front of me told the other guy how "see it wasn't even our fault it wasn't working, next time if this doesn't work just send the customer away and tell them to figure it out" and "you would've never figured this out because she gave you the wrong info". I then gave him the right card where he was telling me the information was "wrong" again. This time I knew I had the right card and told him to keep trying all while he was insistent that I was wrong. After awhile he finally puts my info in and it works and he says "oh yeah we don't take this insurance, you have to go somewhere else". The customer doesn't come first, there. I'll never use a Walgreens pharmacy again after this. read more

It's open 24 hours, and that alone is probably the main reason I come here. They have your usual crap, and the checkout people are actually pretty friendly. I MUCH prefer Target, but it's a far longer drive down Dixie Highway, so Walgreens has to do. ;) read more

Just recently, I needed a prescription refilled at my local Walgreens store. You may or may not be aware that nowadays, when you call your local Walgreens, your call is getting routed to a call center in Orlando, Miami, or perhaps elsewhere. This call center has access to all of your prescription history. What I don't like about this call center is that the staff there will fight tooth and nail to prevent you from speaking to a human being in the actual store that is filling your prescription. Whereas before, it would take three numbers dialed on your phone once your call was connected to get an actual live human being at the Walgreens you were calling, nowadays, you must dial no fewer than four numbers on your phone just to have a chance at reaching a human being at your local store (namely, 1, 2, 0, 3). After you've dutifully dialed these numbers, you may get a recording that claims that "All representatives are currently assisting other callers. Due to extremely high call volumes, your expected wait time is at least seven minutes." This is exactly the message I got now at 3:33AM on Monday morning, March 16th, 2009 (wowzers, how many people are calling this place at 3:33AM--better question, how few staff are attempting to man the phones at this time!). Once you're fortunate enough to get a human being on the line, they will question you to try to determine why you need to talk to your store, as I mentioned previously. Sometimes I wonder if it easier to reach the President at the White House than reaching any staff member at your local Walgreens. When the staff at the call center start questioning me, I have to resort to making up some BS like, "The pharmacist at my store is working on something for me and I have to talk to her." Finally, your call gets transferred to your actual store, and the phone will usually ring a bunch of times before any human being actually picks up. Yesterday, I was at the store picking up my prescription, and the three-person staff, which included a pharmacist, seemed quite overwhelmed. This one customer at the drive through gave up on waiting there and walked inside the store, only to wait some more. Two additional cars were at the drive-through waiting while the line inside the store just got longer and longer. Furthermore, I think it is hysterical that they have a little sign inside the store several feet away from the actual register area that says "Please wait here for patient privacy." This sign asks that you wait, oh, about seven feet at most, from the actual counter where the "private" conversations are taking place between the patient and the pharmacy staff. Of course, in Walgreens' fantasy world, the human ear cannot hear anything that is seven feet away or more, so conversations between patients and staff are guaranteed to be confidential! Someone at corporate needs to do a little bit more research on human hearing. The drop-off window and the consultation window are things of the past. Only one window is available, even if all you're doing is dropping off an empty bottle of pills for a refill. You must wait for the person who has a complicated issue with their copayment, or the customer who has to ring up 10 rolls of toilet paper, before you are helped. The new Walgreens format with all their calls being directed to a call center is a bunch of BS and any day now I will transfer to a local pharmacy in the Grove. I don't do any traveling so my drug history need not follow me around everywhere I go. The last time I called Coconut Grove Pharmacy at 3001 SW 27th Avenue in Coconut Grove, I was pleasantly surprised to hear an actual human being answering the phone, not a robot that forces you to press umpteen million numbers on your phone, and, should you mess up on any of the buttons that you push, some robotic bitch scolds you and tells you that you have made an improper selection and urges you to try again. Coconut Grove Pharmacy is poised to take over my business and you best believe my next refill will be filled at their location. Walgreens, I've had it with you! read more

The closest walgreens to my house its a bit better then the one one 119th so I go. This saturday after work img sleepy and frustrated I go to pick up my lady products. Which they always have great stuff. As I'm going to the line to ring out the lady at the register is having the longest conversation. Shes taking about her life and the products the last bought. Then when I get to her shes yelling across the store how she needs someone to come relive her because her pee is coming down. There is one employee at this pharmacy who is completely incompetent. A few months ago I asked her when my birth control prescription would end. She told me about five months in the future. So this week I went to get my birth control, but my prescription was in reality already finished. I'm supposed to start my new batch tomorrow, but now I can't. There is no time to make a new appointment before tomorrow, because with many clinics you have to make an appointment months in advance. If she had told me factual information a few months ago, I would not be in this problem now. Making mistakes in a pharmacy is not making a normal mistake. I am a frequent customer of Walgreens. They are totally incredible for example, i particularly like their health sections . The items that i buy every now and again are as the follows: gree tea (this combats bloating), any time of health bar u chose whatever you like : ). I particularly like their friendly staff . Walgreen 3655 South Dixie Hwy Miami Florida 33133 June 8, 2011 9:46pm I was in a hurry. I decided to stop at Walgreen's. I saw something I could not believe it. I saw a tiny kitten a few weeks old dead in the handicapped parking spot approximating 10 feet from the front door entrance of the store. After making a purchase I asked the cashier to please clean up the kitten that was dead in the parking lot. He stated, "The kitten been laying out there for several hours and it was alive." I could not believe my ears. The cashier went on to state, "Someone cleans the parking lot at night and they will clean it up whenever they get here." I asked him if it was unsanitary for a dead animal to lay dead in front of the store. That's when he became irate an started yelling, "That's not my job!" As I questioned the Walgreen's cashier about the dead kitten in front of the store in the handicap parking spot I saw a different Walgreen's employee re-parked their car to cover up the dead animal. I have my receipt and pictures as proof that this disturbing event occurred. I will never shop at Walgreen's again. read more
