And I thought like, how totally bodacious would it be to hunt for them while I'm out exploring? So I was cruisin' around the Tempe hood, look' for some prime locations. I pulled over to grab some gas, but whoa, dude! Imagine my pure bummer when I saw that the OG Circle K was gone, replaced by the Corner Market with no gas pumps! I never even realized Circle closed up shop, man. It kinda bummed me out for a sec but then I spotted something rad. The new owner put up a poster to show that the iconic spot where Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure was shot is still there bro! Yeah, not the original poster 'cause the previous owner snatched it up because it was signed by Keanu. But hey, pretty cool nonetheless. So I ended up snagging a delicious hazelnut coffee and started chattin' with the employee, who spilled interesting deets about the closure and the Corner Market takeover. Pretty cool vibe, and he even let me snap some pics. 4 stars for not having gas pumps though. Every single time I've come into this location there's been a problem, there's been a delay, there's been traffic making it impossible to even move the car 6 inches. I question why I even stopped in there other than the convenience of it being a straight shot on to the highway and exiting the other location means I'd have to pull a u-turn which is posted not allowed. My review from duplicate business listing: Sadly this is a new, revamped Circle K location, however it has become one of if not the worst Circle K locations. Limited access, limited parking, poorly designed parking lot, limited gas pumps with poor access and understaffed or simply poor customer service. Every time we come here it's practically packed and people are waiting to gain access to a gas pump or a parking spot and it just adds to the congestion and choas. Going inside is a sadly scripted comedy show listening to the drama unfold as 3 employees stand behind a counter discussing some issue with the restroom(s). Come time to check out there's only 1 cashier to be seen and she's having some difficulty issuing lottery tickets and what appears to be an open register is counter space monopolized with product being stocked. I will say the coffee urns were full and appeared fresh, they actually had whipped cream in its designated position, store seemed clean ftmp and the soda counter wasn't so horrible.

It wasn't easy for me to find parking, even late at night, but I did find one space nearby. It seemed like about 20-25% of their floorspace is alcohol, but in the rest they have a very wide variety of things, tailored to the local college student population. They have a small selection of fresh produce, they have fresh meats and cheeses, as well as a lot of canned/preserved foods and frozen foods. They also have a small/basic selection of pet supplies and they have kitchen utensils. Overall this seems like a very versatile shop, having just about everything you need, until 2am. The place was clean, well lit, and I was very comfortable shopping late at night. The cashier was polite and friendly, though he didn't offer me a receipt and I didn't notice until later, and I would have liked one. Oh well. I bought a pre-made turkey & cheese croissant sandwich for $7 and it was decent.
