I mostly like the location of this CVS. I like the self-checkout kiosks at the front of the store. They also have a good supply of distilled water which I heavily rely on. This establishment is poorly staffed, and always has been, they make numerous mistakes and they have no ownership whatsoever of them. They have a new answering service where you are not able to put input your refill information. You have to leave a message. I tried several times to do this on Friday the day my prescription expired. I was unsuccessful. The following business day was today the 23rd. They are refusing to refill it for me and will take no ownership whatsoever of their faulty answering service. Josie was condescending and the manager Amanda hung up on me. Neither of them were professional. I would not recommend anyone go to CVS. I understand working Christmas Eve isn't ideal. What I don't understand is why that gives the pharmacy staff permission to act like openly hostile toddlers with lab coats. From the moment we arrived, the pharmacy area was a live recording of complaints about wanting to go home. Loudly. Repeatedly. As if customers personally scheduled their shifts. Even better, watching one guy literally throw prescription bottles in frustration like it was some kind of pharmaceutical rage room. It was deplorable at best. And no, there were no customers giving anyone a hard time. This wasn't stress. This was unprofessional, aggressive, and honestly concerning behavior from people handling medication. If you're so angry that you're slamming and tossing filled prescriptions, you should not be anywhere near patients' meds. No one expects holiday cheer. We do expect basic professionalism and not to feel like an inconvenience for needing prescriptions filled. CVS Pharmacy might want to remind its staff that frustration is not a customer-facing personality trait. If you hate being there that much, call out. Don't take it out on the people you're supposed to help. This is especially true for the woman (I think) working the cash register at the Pharmacy. read more

Asked for front desk to get transferred back to pharmacy and was immediately met with a very angry woman who yelled "pharmacy is closed till 2" and immediately hung up. Absolutely terrible place. Need a Rx? Good luck. They'll "fill" your rx or say they ordered your stuff but then they'll give it away to someone else'. Or they'll say it's filled then you get there and have to wait. Eff this place. read more

About a year ago I used to love our neighborhood CVS. And the neighborhood friendly service used to be so amazing. The ownership must have changed - that is my guess based on the change of staff. The store is the worst CVS now. Stock of items is always low or out all together, mark-up is wayyyyyyy high, and this CVS has the worst selection, service is meh... Walgreens isn't my favorite either. Sadly, I'd rather drive all the way to Walmart or Target now. I don't waste my time going into CVS any longer. :( read more

It's a nice store with kind staff but smells really bad. I assume it's the rubber carpet that still hasn't lost the manufactured smell although it's been open for a few years. Clean store with lots of items. Found the vitamins we wanted at buy one, get one so nice surprise. Added in another supplement and went to check out. They have self check out now which I like because in this age of employee shortages it's nice to be able to check yourself out instead of waiting around for an associate who is trying to handle different tasks and customers. Just got profiled after being a 4+ year customer. Went in to buy melatonin, walked to the front and the cashier couldn't even speak for looking so hard, so I went to self-checkout. As I'm checking out, this same cashier now comes from behind the cash register and stands almost directly behind me with her back to me. Mind you she couldn't even acknowledge my presence a few seconds ago. After finishing my transaction, I walked out and looked back and she's still watching me. I definitely will be speaking with a manager next time I'm in the store. read more

I've been on hold for 48 mins so far and still no answer - calling regarding medicine for my 6 month old son as the automated system can't find him. They closed the drive up. I went inside to pick up my prescription last week and stood in line with my two kids for over 2 hours. I had come in around 11am that day as well and the line was too long for me to pick up during my lunch break. I understand being short on people and I'm nice to everyone, but this is insane. read more

The pharmacy won't even pick up the phone for a simple question during normal hours. This is not an acceptable practice

I've always had a great experience with this CVS. The pharmacy has always been very helpful even when they are busy.

Single most frustrating pharmacy you could ever go to. Drive thru window has been closed for months now, they are too short staffed to answer the phones. Once inside there is always a 10-20 minute wait. I have been waiting for one of my prescriptions to be filled for 4 weeks now and on the day it was supposed to be ready they notified me it won't be filled for another 3 weeks. The only saving grace is somehow Pharmacists manage to be friendly despite how understaffed they always are. This pharmacy is just far more trouble than its worth and i recommend going literally anywhere else to get your prescriptions filled. read more

This place is always understaffed and takes way too long to fill a prescription. There's always a line 4-5 people deep and most clients there is some problem. The wait is always at least 15 minutes. The only reason I even go to any cvs in castle rock is bc my stupid insurance requires it. I'd boycott cvs for life otherwise. read more

The pharmacy closed down 3 hours early last night, after I was told to come back for my pneumonia medication. Reason being, they were overwhelmed with the amount of people WHO NEEDED MEDICINE. Ample parking, right opposite the Castle Rock Adventist hospital, and easily visible off the main road. The store as well as pharmacy timings are amazing. Easily accessible aisles. We switched to this pharmacy for our medication needs as a family, and it was the best decision. Our favorite pharmacist, Steven, is amazing. He goes above and beyond for all customers and makes sure everyone's wait time is minimal. He knows how to make things work. He is a hard worker and efficient. Love him! read more

I've been coming here for years, and I understand the staffing issues coming out of COVID, however the last few times I've gone there's 4 to 5 people there and my prescription has never been ready. I've given them over 24 hours notice multiple times and never has my prescription been ready. This leads to me waiting every single time for them to " expedite" my prescription. You can't expedite a prescription and say it'll be ready in an hour. In the past dropping off a prescription would take less than 30 minutes to be filled. If you can't handle the amount of prescription, then stop accepting them. I never take it out on the workers, because I know it's not their fault. It's poor management from the top, plain and simple. read more

Drive-thru closed for multiple days due to "lack of staff". 30 min+ waits to speak with anyone at the pharmacy counter. I attempted to fill a prescription here yesterday over the phone after having an issue with the app and the woman I dealt with was incompetent and impatient. I needed a transfer and (I later found out) that all that needed to happen was for the prescription at the other store to be returned from from the shelf and then she could have filled it for me. However, she told me I had to call my insurance and said my insurance would need to authorize an extra prescription this month, because they would not authorize a new prescription for a couple of weeks, etc., etc. She interrupted me repeatedly and may not have even heard past her initial judgment of my situation. I came into the store after calling my insurance bc the insurance said it wasn't their issue, that it was a simple pharmacy issue. This same woman then interacted quite impatiently and talked at me from across the room. I explained I had called my insurance after she dismissed me again. Then she said I would need to figure out how to have the other CVS reverse my order. I did this and have to wonder why she didn't suggest this is in the first place. I then called my usual CVS and they took care of the transfer and refill in probably 20 seconds. This woman wasted probably 2 hours of my time. I would have asked to speak to her manager while I was there, but they didn't have a supervisor on site. To be fair, I've dealt with other workers at this site and they have been far more polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. However, I'm pretty unhappy about this specific woman's lack of knowledge and/or willingness to help. read more

They continue to be pleasant and work their tails off. If I owned a business I would try to recruit a couple of the people still around here. They don't refill your prescriptions when they are due, even if you have auto refills on. I constantly run out while the app says the order is processing. I the. have to go in and wait in line to place the order, then wait again until it is filled. It's min 40 minutes out of my day. I tried to use the app to transfer my prescriptions to a different store, but that doesn't work either. I finally went to a different CVS and they were able to help. I understand they had a bunch of people leave this store, but that was months ago. You can't just not fill prescriptions. read more

Worst pharmacy ever. Someone should file a lawsuit. Takes them days to fill a simple prescription. Yet Walgreens filled it in 15 minutes once I transferred it. They close whenever they want. Fight you over pain pill prescriptions even if it's from your doctor. Tell you to come back in an hour but then they're closed....even though they're supposed to be open for hours more. The pharmacy here is just awful(castle rock -on future st by the hospital) They never and I mean never answer their phones so that's a big problem because even my doctors say they don't answer for them. When I pick up my prescriptions, every single damn time they bill it to the wrong insurance plan, even though every time I tell them please bill to single care which saves me like two hundred and they say ok we'll put a note for next time. Yeah right my ass you will. They have to redo the whole rx and it takes an extra fifteen plus minutes. I try to call to tell them I won't need certain meds filled this month because my dr sends them in anyways just in case, but they don't answer phones and fill them anyways. It only creates more work for them but oh well. They are so understaffed it's ridiculous. I actually have to make sure I leave an extra 30-45 min time if I need to pick up a prescription. The employees in the pharmacy are rude, and the pharmacist is as well and is annoyed if you have a question for him or if the other employees need his help you can see him get irritated. You knows it's bad when I, as a customer, notice all of this. They have a drive thru which is always a pain because when they mess up the order they tell me to park and come back thru in 15 min. I've had to do that at least five times now. I really need to find a new pharmacy that carries my meds. These guys suck! read more

Scheduled a vaccine approximately one week prior. I received emails and text messages from CVS regarding my vaccine; however, after I got to the store and waited in line for the vaccine I was told that they aren't giving vaccines at this location. So this has to be the third time I have come in and had terrible service. I had a prescription on hold for a couple of days and I come in and wait 15 minutes to be told I have to wait 15 minutes for my prescription. The other day I came in to drop off a prescription and I was ignored at drop off point for over 20 minutes! I had to leave and go somewhere else. Today I waited in line about 15 minutes for a prescription that was put in about a day and a half ago just to get to the register and be told I have to wait 15 minutes for it to be ready. Absolutely, outrageously backed up! I also had a notification telling me i had a prescription ready just to wait and it NOT be ready again. Safe to say I will NOT be using their location again. With 8+ people working back there and I always have to wait for a prescription that was sent more then 24 hours before. I have yet to have a good experience at this location and I have been in the area a year. read more

I was forced to switch from King Soopers to CVS pharmacy at the beginning of this year due to insurance reasons. This particular CVS pharmacy is AWFUL. They DO NOT answer the phone. I actually live just less than a mile away, so I have given up calling them and just drive in to ask questions. Each time I have gone, there have been either one customer in line or no one, with between 4 to 6 people working in the pharmacy area, so they are NOT short staffed. When I ask my question, they actually get visibly annoyed. They just don't want to work. I will actually be checking into discount pharmacy cards to see if my medication prices would be reasonable at King Soopers (Ridge Rd location is awesome!) and just bypass my insurance. Even if it is more expensive, as long as it is reasonable, I will pay the extra cost just to avoid the hassle of working with CVS for my medications. read more

I would give them 4 stars because if you try to call you can wait for 30+ minutes, but given Covid I feel like they're rock stars. I switched from king soopers pharmacy on promenade because I couldn't take the delayed orders, 30-45 minute lines to pick up and the overall lack of any sense of urgency from the staff even with so many people waiting. CVS was such a relief. They are overwhelmed like all pharmacies but they show they care, they have hustle, they go the extra mile, it's so much quicker it's stupid, and they personally connect. I'll be honest and point out that CVS prices are high (everywhere - not just this store) but this location has really great customer service. We live nearby and have ended up popping into CVS looking for a random food item, etc on more than one occasion. We have always been greeted by the front end staff/cashier and offered assistance. I hate to see the bad reviews on this CVS. Yes, at one point they had some rude staff in the pharmacy but as of late, they have made changes and only have been dealing with pleasant and helpful staff. Always am greeted by staff when i walk in. Never waited more than 5-10 minutes for prescription on either walk in or drive thru. Pharmacy closes 1-2pm for lunch so keep that in mind. read more

Love this location! Super friendly and helpful staff. The pharmacist, Steven, really goes out of his way to make sure I have what I need and is so cheerful the whole time. It's so refreshing! Even when it's very busy everyone is still so great and you can tell they're working very hard to help everyone. The rest of the store is clean and carries really cool products.
