This Target is a bit surprising because of it's location and size (in comparison to other…read morelocations). It's definitely conveniently located - directly in Central Square - and for that I am grateful to be able to stop in quickly or browse when in the area. For such a small store, they have quite a lot to offer. For the same reason, though, I feel like it could be better staffed.. not in terms of quality of service, rather, it would be helpful to have more people working at any given time. The other thing I've noticed is that the sales prices don't always ring up correctly. It happens for at least one item every time I've purchased something from there. For this reason, I always check-out at the main register, rather than at the self check-out section. (For anyone visiting, be sure to keep pricing in mind regardless.) Whenever this happens, most of the staff are pretty understanding and willing to correct the error immediately, while others can seem unbothered in general. But the latter seems to be how many sales associates function in the Central Square area regardless of the business. Target is by far held to a higher standard with kinder staff members. The store is always clean and easy to navigate. It's a lovely addition to Central Square.

This Target was located conveniently close to the MBTA Central Square station. However, even though…read moreit was 2 floors, this was one of those smaller Targets, so the selection wasn't quite as extensive. However, I was here only to buy some snacks and a gallon of water, so I was able to easily locate what I needed all on the top floor. It was also very easy to pay for my items using one of the self-checkout kiosks. Prices were pretty standard for the area.

I'm having a heck of a time getting a photo board printed at Walgreens. I first ordered from my…read morelocal store only to be called saying their machine is broken. They told me they could transfer the order to the Somerville location and when I went there the next day a blonde woman didn't see any order. A manager type guy stepped in and was kind explaining to me that their store never received an order (hence the second star). It turned out that my local store wrongfully informed me it could be transferred- so I put in a new order to the Somerville location. I went today to pick it up and a brunette girl told me their machine ran out of ink (ugh!). She also told me I must have listed my number wrong because she tried calling me twice. I said that was weird since the other store had the same number listed and they were able to contact me with it (so NOT my error as she inferred.) then her attitude started as I had to further inquire about what to do next to make sure I could get this done in time for my event- which was not appreciated. She walked away to take other customers at the register and shrugged me off, saying I had to call any store I wanted to try and print it first to make sure their big printer was in working order. That should not be my job as a customer to assume that every Walgreens has printed issues and have to take the extra step to do. That girl needs training in customer service and Walgreens needs to get their stuff in order.

Service has improved considerably. They are overworked and understaffed but manage to be friendly…read moreand helpful.

I just want to for the pharmacy intern, Andy. What a pleasant young man to come across at the…read morepharmacy. I called yesterday morning to confirm which of my prescriptions I would be picking up later and he helped me with all of them. I wanted to make sure they were all a 90 day supply and what the costs were. He even took the time to try and apply manufacturers coupons. He was incredibly nice and patient during the whole process. When I went to the pharmacy he was there and remembered speaking with me and everything I needed was ready. I've dealt with some unpleasant people at this pharmacy that make me uncomfortable to pick up my prescriptions. But Andy and the woman working last night were sweet and seemed to be happy to be there!

Do better CVS They force the consumer to touch self service…read morescreens - that they do not clean. All winter, never did they put a bottle of sanitizer (or even better, a box of plastic gloves) for people to use. People should not have to ask - these sanitary measures should be there at the ready. Ultimately, they refused to fill my script because I wouldnt touch the screen to confirm it was me picking up my script. Mind you, this wasnt a narcotic, it was a vitamin - anyone could pick it up. Renee. And I had my ID in hand. The only reason to not fill my script is 1. Corporate nonsense (making the people do the pharmacists job), 2. a power trip. Now, I call CVS Corp, and I discovered a great way to avoid touching their shwassy screen - you can download the app. **but I will not be doing that - here's my ID - and that's that. What if the customer does not own a phone and is a double arm amputee - do you want them to touch the screen with their Tongue? Now imagine treats your elderly parent like this, maybe a relative that does not speak English, or maybe an individual that has an extreme phobia to germs or have some other mental health condition (perhaps a loved one on the spectrum). Excellent Target. Crappy CVS. Do better! I don't expect CVS to ever get rid of these self service screens - but if they want to save time and money by making the customer help the Pharmacy Dept with THEIR job, then equip each counter with sanitizer.
