I frequent this pharmacy very often. I love the people who work in the actual store as well as the good folks in the pharmacy. Until today. Today I was waiting in line at the pharmacy and was completely ignored and passed over numerous times by JOSEPHINE. Apparently people were waiting for their prescriptions before me and were called later called to pick theirs up while I stood at the front of the line. I was not in a hurry or anything but was told by JOSEPHINE who just looked at me, didn't say a word about what was happening and continued to call other patrons to receive their prescriptions. The fact that she made actually eye contact and didn't say ANYTHING was alarming and displayed poor customer service, if any at all. I asked her if she didn't see that I was standing there and she said other people have been waiting so she's fulfilling their request before mine. This is 100% wrong, as once she made eye contact with me she should have said SOMETHING regarding what was happening. I just looked at her and left the store as after being a consistent customer there for many shopping needs I didn't feel I needed to be treated the way I was treated. I don't normally write poor reviews of people because we are all human and have our days. But the bottom line is JOSEPHINE is completely unprofessional and should be reprimanded for her actions or lack of. read more

I called this pharmacy and asked if they had my prescription in stock and they said yes so I sent it there. It's not close to my house. They said the prescription was there. I schlepped all the way over there because they SAID IT WAS READY. What fucking waste of time and energy. read more

People are too picky nowadays. CVS always has my emergency essentials available on hand. The workers are always helpful and the store is neat and organized. There is parking and I have never had any issues at this store. read more

This cvs is one of the worst! The pharmacy is extremely overwhelmed with Rx and the pharmacy staff shows it with every encounter they have. They can never find anyone's Rx due to the overcrowding on shelves etc and the pharmacy is always long and even when the line is short, the staff move so slow. There were previous self checkout machines, which I believed were very useful, but they got rid of them for whatever reason. So now it's back to two cashiers at most with a long line of anxious customers who most of the time only have one small item. If you intend on coming here , please now it's not an in and out vibe. read more

DO NOT ISE THIS PHARMACY!!! Terrible service, constantly loosing my prescriptions, takes over a week to get a prescription filled here. They do not answer their phones, j contacted corporate to try and get a hold of the pharmacy and not even corporate is able to get a hold of them. AVOID AT ALL COSTS read more

If I could give a place negative stars, this would be it. I use it only because it is almost next to my work.. otherwise it SUCKS. WORST PLACE IN THE WORLD FOR CVS to test out self checkout lines. REALLY. These elderly people in there do not know how to do it. And if you're going to use the self check-out, at least have someone behind the counter to help the old folks. Good CVS in Lefferts Gardens, close to the Winthrop Street 2 train. A bit heavy on the junky stuff (they have an entire "As-Seen-On-TV" section and lots of pulp novels) but they have the basics of everything else. They're quick about filling prescriptions, but the pharmacy hours are very spotty. Supposedly they're open from 8am until 8pm, but I've often gone there in the morning to be told "no, the pharmacist hasn't arrived yet" and "no, we don't know when they'll open." They also close the pharmacy earlier than advertised. read more

Every time I go into this pharmacy nothing is clearly labeled in the aisles. The sales are always unclear, the cashiers dont have enough knowledge of the sales and are work to argue against every coupon if it doesn't immediately pop up on the screen. I always have trouble with this pharmacy and it discourages me from wanting to shop here. The store is completely disorganized and management always seem like they have something better they'd rather be doing. The worst cvs I've been to. read more

There was an allergy section but the Allegra, Zyrtec, and Claritin were not in that section. But you will find the Advil and Sudafed allergy meds, which means squat to those of us who suffer from springtime allergies and need the "good" over-the-counter stuff. In addition to aisles being mis-labled, there was no one around to help, but that might be because it was a Sunday, and stores do have limited staffing on Sundays. While I'm not a fan of this location, it is the closest one to me, so I will be back. I am a fan of the CVS brand (hence the 3 stars). They always have some really good sales and allow you combine coupons even on sale items. Winning. read more

I would honestly give this place negative five stars if it were possible. This place has got to be the worst CVS I've ever experienced, and for one reason: the pharmacy. Specifically, the man I'm assuming is the head pharmacist. Twice this man has refused to process an emergency refill for me because it was "too soon" to process, even after I explained that Express Scripts had screwed up and sent my medications out late and had offered to speak to the pharmacy to help them sort it out. Dude, you do know what the word "emergency" means, right? And it isn't just me - I've seen him do shit like this to other customers, which would suggest to me that this man doesn't care about people who desperately need their medications. Not the kind of person you want running your pharmacy. They frankly need to sack this idiot. Even the pharmacy technicians seemed pretty taken aback by his refusal to honor an emergency refill for someone with TWO DAYS WORTH OF MEDS LEFT, as I explained to him on both occasions. If you can't be bothered to care about the people whose meds you handle, then you can't handle medication, plain and simple. read more

I called and asked hours ahead of time because of medical issues. The manager told me 8pm. I arrived at 7:52pm. They were closed. This was an essential medication to my health and well being and I was lied to and time was wasted. read more

It looks like a normal CVS, but the pharmacy has bad service. I had gone once before when I was told through a text that my prescription was ready for pickup. It was not and I was told it was an issue with their app. I went today after receiving notice yesterday that my prescription was ready for pickup, and it was not. I was told I could wait 45 minutes. I explained it should have been ready since yesterday, she did not care. I asked for a flu shot and was told they ran out. I asked when they would have more flu shots and was told tomorrow but to come before 3PM. I think they don't want to bother giving flu shots after 3 and cant be honest about it. The pharmacy staff I have dealt with have been pretty bad. Other CVS stores I have gone to in the city are fine. The problem is the staff at the Nostrand location. read more

Negative 5 stars. The worst pharmacy I've ever been to, and they have messed up my scripts more times than I can count, well over 50% of the time. Their go-to answer for my questions is "i dont know." Unacceptable. Then you also have to deal with unpleasantries once its your turn to get to the register. Pharmacist ben is not employee for the month but compared to the others, pharmacist Ben is professional, personable, and has some customer service skills... instead of telling me he doesnt know, he actually goes to work with his computer and whatnot, aka doing his job, to try to give me some info. Similarly, the only positive is that the main clerk, karlene(?), has helped me numerous times and even smiled. The pharmacist who is a white lady with short hair has a nasty, condescending, and unhelpful attitude, to say the least. My mind tells me she is on a power trip, at least it sure looks like it. She is unprofessional, and ive observed her repeatedly acting passive aggressively by doing things such as talking $h!t about her job and even customers, RIGHT IN FRONT of the slew of customers on line. I am a therapist by trade and to see such outright rude, abrupt, and inappropriate behavior is quite upsetting and she undoubtedly has her own "issues,." I think she is an angry woman who seems to hate her job (and probably life) and is subsequently mean and intimidating. I believe she should be fired and Ive never before said that in any review, anywhere. I don't have blatant proof but from her General attitude and my observation, I also got the impression that she is prejudiced and discriminatory... ive noticed that and believe she treated me myself, a white woman, differently, bc of the sorts of medications i had due. Its too long of a story but there was one occasion where although I don't have proof, I believe she slightly went out of her way to sabotage me getting medication I was prescribed. Lastly, although I cant speak from experience but it wouldn't surprise me if she selected patient to patient as to whether or not she was going to treat them well or not, based on their presentation. Rule of thumb- if you hate people, dont become a pharmacist!! I just want my prescriptions filled, thats not too much to ask! I have even talked to CVS corporate about the troubles at the location bc their headquarters acknowledged being understaffed and problematic and they were very apologetic. (Yet nothing has changed). I have used CVS for all my scripts, for over ten years, and NEVER had a problem with them. When i need an rx, i seriously feel stress and dread walking into this pharmacy, knowing its going to be frustrating and again, at least half the times, my scripts that SHOULD be ready, wont be. Thankfully, Im in the process of changing pharmacies and will hopefully never again have to deal with this nonsense. The one thing they get right and should be awarded in is disempowerment of and pretentiousness towards their customers. And writing this, i am the voice of MANY other customers who have comiserated with me while frustratedly trying to have their needs met waiting online. It has been very sad to see that on multiple occasions I observed elderly clients who were on numerous occasions have some sort of problem with getting them filled but not having any of that process explained to them. I wanted so much to have grab those people and signed them up at a decent Pharmacy! I have a deep voice for a girl when I wake up in the morning. I lost my voice as a child. And deep tones don't hurt like high ones. So I called the pharmacy as it is time to switch due to insurance. And the male pharmacist who knows I'ma girl by my name and birthday since everything pops up. Had the nerve to say me if I wanted to change the gender on my profile from female to male. I wanted to slap this dude so bad when I got to the CVS. You studied science and you don't know if someone had issues with their voice growing up. You didn't mean to be rude you said. It never should have came out of your mouth!! I hate this CVS but it is the only one that is close enough to me. And open long enough for me to get to from work which is in Far Rockaway. read more

I love the sales. I go for the sale. Regularly I dont go inside because cvs tends to over price everything. If you dont have a card you dont get the sale price. I thing this specific location is very small , but judging by the areas limited space It couldnt be too big anyway because most stores around the area are similar in size. I would advise you to pair up a coupon with a good sale, and come before 2:00 pm on any day before it gets crowded. read more

The pharmacy staff needs training in customer service and especially in handling the elderly. I know it can be very trying dealing with the elderly but that's why they're in the field. A little patience and understanding wouldn't hurt. I witness the treatment of a customer in the most disrespectful way possible and to show their displeasure they walked away from the desk leaving a handful of customers online because after the stressful contact with the customer both women behind the counter decided the didn't want to "do pick up anymore ". No compassion, no empathy. No concern if they screw up your prescription order. Not a care if they do not have your medication in stock. What is the point of a doctor sending your prescription over BEFORE you are discharged from the hospital if they don't even bother to check the inventory until you are standing in front of them in agony. The issue is with one or two pharmacists here but they make the entire establishment a crap shoot. The same pharmacist who could give a damn about my pills being out of stock is the same one who gave me the wrong number of pills forcing me to go back to get it corrected. Have you seen the lines here? Now who wants to go through that twice in one week. Don't hold your breath for an apology either. What this location forgets is that they are no longer the only option in this neighborhood. read more

Once again, this place is beyond disappointment. Dropped off my prescriptions ahead of time because their customer service is the worst i have seen. I was not only person waiting the line started to grew with no avail of service being provided. After 30 minutes my name way called to be told that the prescriptions I am waiting on are not in stock, " I need to go to another store".. Worst service ever, a call would of been nice yesterday or it would of been nice to know that it was not in stock yesterday when I dropped off the prescriptions . read more

This CVS is good but could be great. They tend to understock popular items! Come sale time, be prepared to get your Rain Check! I know because I started doing so. The staff as fallen off to a handfull of people since I started going there a few years ago. To catch the sale items, you MUST be there to purchase the items by Tuesday Morning at the latest! By Wednesday, about 80-90% of all the popular items are gone! They would not sell out some quickly if they would stock more than 2 to 4 rows of the item! I go to this CVS because it is the only one close to where I live. There sales and the quality of their products are very good! I prefer CVS over Rite Aide and Duane Reed. The service given to me by the employees has been consistantly good. It helps that I never give anyone attitude while shopping. If they would increase the quantity consistantly popular, in demand items, their rating of this location would rise. read more

*sigh* the lines are always long,they always seemed to be short staffed and although it's cheaper to print here than Duane Reade you have to ask yourself "is it worth it"? The last time I was here I waited for an hour to have my pictures printed because the machince kept breaking down and the photo tech was taking her sweet time. I had to go to DR to print which made me über late for my audition. Smh read more
