I have to say, this CVS in Boulder City has some of the weirdest, strangest, unfriendly, and irritating employees working there. I'm speaking mostly about the front-end store clerks. There's one unfriendly woman in particular who has to say "sir" in every other word. Doesn't smile. Comes off sounding like an army sergeant or a robot. It's not polite. It's annoying and triggers my PTSD. The pharmacy employees are fine, usually friendly, helpful, but sadly overworked. Nothing new with any slave-labored pharmacy anywhere, but they're much more pleasant to deal with than the front-end store clerks. CVS stores have noticeably declined in quality, so this poor review comes as no surprise. During my last three visits to the Nevada Way store, the cash registers were completely unstaffed, forcing me to use the self-checkout kiosks. The wait times for these machines can be quite long, especially when a customer unfamiliar with the system is using one for the first time. I strongly oppose mandatory self-checkout at any retail store, but CVS executes the practice worse than most. read more

When l called to refill one prescription, l was told l had four available for refill. After one day l was told one was ready. We picked it up. Next day another one was ready but l was told the other two weren't actually refillable at this time. I have two days where l can pick up these scripts next month. Problem, we are elderly, my husband is 82 and am 79. It would be so nice to fill all of our prescriptions in one day. Easier for us by far. Perhaps this is something we could work towards? read more

Sending 1 person for lunch so the pharmacy can still serve those who need their service. Never heard a whole department closing during "business hours". Or am I mistaken and only 1 person is hired to do all the work in the pharmacy then I'd understand. Hire more people. read more

I live in Boulder City for 10+ years. The first year I lived here and needed medicine or a prescription, they never had on hand I had to wait a week. I was sick then, even worse a week after that. The pharmacists there are RUDE and obnoxious. The associates are rude and don't know what they are doing. I went in for a flu shot, she wouldn't give it to me unless I showed her my Medicare card, I'm like what? You have my insurance card, why would you need my Medicare card? I left and have been leaving Boulder City and going to Henderson to Walgreens. Pharmacists nice, helpful. So today, I'm not feeling well, and I am having surgery on Wednesday 10/15, I went in today asked the pharmacist if I could take any of the medications I had, that didn't have aspirin . It was a joke. The lady, said just read the package. I can read the package, but I had a few medications as well as a prescription there in the bundle. I had some medication in a sandwich bag. The lady, wrapped the medications and said she would ask tge pharmacist. She was back in like 3 seconds and said these are good. She never even opened the sandwich bag. I swore, 9 years ago that I would never go there again, but I did. No one I know that lives in Boulder City goes there, they go to Savon in Albertsons. CVS needs to shut down, snd put a respectable Walgreens in. This is unacceptable behavior, but because they are allowed to belittle their customers, who by the way, pay their salaries by going in there. It is a horrible way to treat customers. Hopefully they close you down. read more

Don't believe the text message if it says that your medication is out of stock. The truth is most likely that it is too early to fill the prescription - especially for painkillers. I waited over 2 days when I could have had my surgeon call them to okay the prescription. read more

The locale off of Buchanan is a 4-mile drive from my house. Although I like Henderson, some days I prefer not to drive over the hill. I use their pharmacy for all my four doctors when Humana cannot help me. They have a unique assortment of products not found at every drug store. T-shirts or caps to show your Boulder City pride was a welcomed surprise when first I visited. Since Lake Mead is a stone's throw away, the store is well stocked with sun-shielding necessities. My wife recently passed away from cancer. On a Friday afternoon the doctor called in a new scrip for morphine. A pharmacist friend tip us off that retail pharmacy are so lazy that she recommended we call to make sure the order was ready, it was not. In a panic later afternoon Friday we called the doctor to correct the missing info, we ask cvs please follow up to make sure it is complete. At arrival 6 pm cvs advise us order was not complete zero follow up by them. Cvs said sorry but they where just to busy to call the doctor, there acted like to bad next please. Not only did cvs not do their job my wife suffered in pain until Monday. There a special place in hell for these smug, lazy uncaring pharmacist at Boulder City cvs. Dan Humeston read more

This cvs is my favorite. They have a drive thru and they are pretty quick. Everyone is very nice and polite as well.

Good place for getting stuff for convenience at a great value. CVS usually aren't too busy of a place, unless there is something of interest at a good price. I've never had an issue with there staff, always very helpful and friendly. Also, if you have any pharmaceutical needs they're very knowlegable and will address any questions or concerns you may have. read more

Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff, especially in the pharmacy. Sometimes they are busy, but even if they say it'll be a couple hours just sign up for text messaging and it lets you know the prescription is ready and it's usually within an hour. The girls in the pharmacy are always very friendly and most have been there for years- it's nice not to see turnover all the time like in most department stores. They seem to know EVERYBODY'S name and are very patient and kind with the older customers who may be a little confused. I feel safe and like a priority when my prescriptions are filled here. read more
