I have been a patient there for two years. I have always been treated well. I have never had one issue!

I am so sick of this pharmacy especially the drive thru. Multiple times I'm receiving wrong information. Items are constantly out of stock. Today I received a message saying pick up after 5 pm arrived at 5:10 and was told to just give them 20 minutes to fill because they were "currently working on it." I specifically ask if the items were in stock and the woman said YES!!!! And there were no holds on my account or cost... So I wait around and for nothing because the items were not available...Beyond frustrating & the staff could care less. They offer no solutions like another store or anything. read more

I typically don't write reviews unless there are multiple irritating occurrences that the business needs to improve on. The first time I had an issue with this Pharmacy, they claimed they did not have my prescription and that it had not been ordered (even though I confirmed with my provider). The second time after standing in line for 30 minutes they told me they were going to finish it up quickly and just to wait to the side. I proceeded to wait 30 minutes just for one of the employees to come out and ask me if I was waiting for something. Then, they had me get back in line to be able to pay. This third time was extremely upsetting. We decided to go through the drive through to see if we would have a better experience, but we should've expected it would be just as bad. We waited in the drive through line for 30 minutes, and when we finally got to the window the lady told us they didn't have anything for me. She proceeded to walk away from the window for 5 minutes and came back to say "we will have it ready in 30 minutes." We looked at her like okay we will wait right here then, but she said "you are all set." That was it, no we apologize, nothing. We drove away super frustrated as we had just waited 30 minutes and now you expect us to come back. I consistently get this medication every month and at a previous CVS pharmacy's I have never had this issue. Additionally, I don't come early to get my medication, I wait until I only have one pill because I know they don't appreciate when you come prior to when the refill is needed. I hope other customers get better experiences than I have had and that this pharmacy improves on their customer interactions. I will be switching to another pharmacy and recommend others do the same. read more

The absolute worst customer service ever! I made the mistake of going back after I promised myself I would not. I will not make that mistake ever again. The one thing where they are unsurpassed is in the amount they do not care about their customers. The employees must really hate working there. It is evident in everything they do. This location does offer a convenient MinuteClinic that may or may not take your insurance. You might want to double check to make sure that the person at the minute clinic helping you has updated/renewed their licensing or whatever it's called to be able to take your insurance. As far as the drive-thru at this location, be aware of potential delays at the drive-thru window, especially during busy pharmacy hours, as this could affect your overall experience. Also, I've never shopped at this location. The prices seem a bit pricey. I really like how this CVS Pharmacy is nestled in a picturesque setting. read more

This update is solely for the pharmacy staff at this location. The store staff is super friendly and helpful, but the pharmacy staff is a lot to be desired. They're friendly when things are just grab and go, but if there are complications with your meds, they are very short and rude, and act as if they do not care about your issue. One in particular, I think she is new (short brunette), just seemed to give me this fake, borderline sarcastic smile when telling me my mom's doctor made a mistake with her prescription. I spoke with her colleague and she had the same attitude. The only one that appeared to show sympathy was one of the pharmacists. For this reason, I will be switching both me and my mom to a new pharmacy. I'll still shop the store, but I'm done with the pharmacy. Do better, guys. read more

I am so incredibly frustrated with this store. You call the number and you cannot speak to a live person, you have to leave a message and wait for someone to call you back, which they never do. I have found that their prices are more expensive than Walmart, I am over it and even though the location is convenient, I am transferring back to Walmart. read more

I was at CVS today picking up my medication, the pharmacy clerk was very nice and was trying to ring up some energy drinks for me. Well, there was a little mixup and the energy drinks that were marked as three for five we're not ringing up correctly. When the front end clerk came back to help, I recognized him because I had an issue with him in the past. At that time, I was just checking out at the front through self check out, and the computer was having some issues and without me saying anything he came over and helped; although , he was very rude, and basically did not say a word just kind of motioned for me to get out of the way. He aggressively came in to push buttons, and he rang up my items, and he aggressively threw each one into a bag and just appeared to be in a very bad mood. At this time, you know I figured he's probably just having a bad day so I didn't mention anything, and I paid for my items and went on my way. Well today, this was the same clerk that I had that day. First off, he asked, where did I see that they were three for five? so I stated to him that it was below the drinks in the refrigerator. Well rather than just taking my word for it, he asked me to go show him, and I had already walked back once to check to make sure that I hadn't seen the sign wrong. Again I didn't have any issue. I walked over and showed him where the sign was and then I walked back to the register at the pharmacy. A couple minutes later, I am not sure what he was doing, he came back to the pharmacy and stated that they were ringing up correctly. I asked so they are ringing up three for five? He proceeded to say no, you have to buy three in order to get three for five. Well at this time I was a bit frustrated and I said what are you freaking kidding me. I said it states on the tag that it's three for five and I am buying three drinks, so shouldn't I get the sale price? He said "no, Actually, you weren't buying three you have to buy three of the same flavor in order to get the three for five." These were all the same energy drink, same size but just different flavors. During all of this, the Pharmacy tech was standing behind, looking at me over his shoulder, flabbergasted at the way he was handling the situation. I will admit for a short period I was upset, but I never once raised my voice and I continue to talk like a normal human being. I told the pharmacy clerk don't worry I've had issues with him before; although, last time I didn't say anything, but this time I will go ahead and write a review. honestly as a doctor I do like walmart Pharmacy better because the prices are a bit cheaper and their pharmacy tech always called me and let me know when things are ready. I was forced to switch to the CVS by my insurance but after being here and using their pharmacy for the past 4-5 months, I've had very good customer service within the pharmacy  and I have never had any issues and it has been a joy to get my prescriptions from them. Only problem is sometimes the line is longer than I would like, but they are taking care of a lot of people, so I can't complain. Although, I do not like being treated the way I was treated today by the employee. He was rude, unhelpful, and appeared to be in a bad mood once again. On top of that, he did not honor the sale price. Any store I've ever been to you, where they have deals on energy drinks, I have never had any issues when getting a buy so many get a certain deal especially when it's the same brand and same size. All energy drinks were the KOA brand, but for some reason today the emlpoyee did not feel that he should honor the sale price. I guess it's one of those things, that if for some reason that is the store policy that you have to buy all the same flavor to get the deal then I guess I don't have much to complain about, but it does seem like a pretty petty thing to not honor for a continued customer that gets his prescriptions there regularly as well as buys stuff every time he's in the store for his prescriptions. If it wasn't for Tri, long dark haired gentleman, I would not have an issue with the store but as it stands I will continue to use the pharmacy because I'm required to, but I will be using the drive-through from now on. I don't need to go into a store and be worried about being treated like a liar. I mean making me walk him to show him the price tag and then for him to take his time to come back and tell me that he wasn't going to honor the deal is just weird. After all this occurred, the pharmacist did ask if I would like the manager to call me and I stated that would be great. I will be awaiting her call and again I appreciate the help from the pharmacy staff but Tri is going to have to try harder not to take his own personal feelings out on customers. Update by Well went in today and got buy 2 for 5 and mix matched the energy drink flavors and there was no issue ringing them up. So clearly Its not store policy. read more

So many inconsistencies with the pharmacy department. I get my meds from there and it seems there is always something different way of doing something. For instance, I have been getting the same medication from this place for several years, why oh why do I need to wait to have the pharmacist talk to me about the side effects? Hmmm, I have 3 doctors who tell me what to expect with side effects from my current medications. I can understand if it was brand new to me and I have never taken it before, but to wait for the pharmacist for another 10 minutes while he is on the phone, after of which I have been waiting in line already 40 minutes to get my meds( which I have had In The past). And forget about the barriers as well.....talking through a plastic screen or several feet away from the window in the car. I cannot hear them talking to me because the person sounds like "hooks" from police academy with a whisper.....speak up! And also, btw I have a doctors appt which I am late for now, and let's throw in the question of flu vaccines or any other vaccines that I might want?????? The concept of drive thru is supposed to be quick and easy in and out! But come on??!! Poor management in my opinion but hey I will give the benefit of the doubt that there could be something else happening.....most likely not but there could be a chance of it. read more

So, so sad I have to rate my favorite CVS, a poor rating. I'm sitting in their parking lot while writing this. Shane is horrible. By far the driest, awkward, most rude encounter I've ever experienced here. Wasn't greeted which is certainly not a problem, but CVS is known for that. And, he actually looked up at me upon walking in, and said nothing. It was my turn to approach the register, and he simply walks off. He needed to go assist someone utilizing the self checkout I guess, didn't even say anything. Not, "one moment", or "I'll be right back". Just walked off. When he finally returned, not even a hello!! Just "do you have a CVS card"? So, I say "how are you"? He responded with a one word answer "fine". Didn't reciprocate the gesture. Didn't make me aware of any of the rewards I had. As I leave I tell him to "have a great day", once again, a one word answer, and didn't reciprocate the gesture. Customer service/retail is difficult, somewhat stressful, and can be challenging. I always try and take the extra step to be kind to my fellow customer service folks. Shane was extremely rude, and dry. No clue why he is even interacting with customers. CVS was my first stop after leaving the hospital. (Non Covid or sick or anything) I have several hospital bracelets on still, and bandages. Shane wasn't human. The manager, I believe her name is Michelle, is worse then any other employees there! If a manager is this rude to a customer, who do you complain to? Please do not go here unless you want to wait 2-3 months for medication OR you want to get the wrong medications. They made my wife wait months for medications. And they gave me the wrong medications and argued with me about it. The first thing the guy at the counter told me was, "I didn't give this to you!" Really??? But he was. He was the same guy that took my money, the same guy that spoke to on the phone, and the same guy that handed me the wrong medications. Then they gave my son amoxicillin without mixing it so I had to rush back to get it mixed before they closed. Then they didn't add any flavor to it so it was horrible. Ever taste paste before? No? Well my 2 yr old has because that's what it tasted like. I was also told by their staff that they were several months behind on prescribing medications to people. Counter help is good! Getting a prescription filled not so much. My oncologist at Mayo in Phoenix will send it in and I'm told they didn't get it because they don't have the technology! ???? One clerk said they only check their email prescriptions about once a week! So I have to call the Mayo and ask them to please call it in on the phone. Going back to the Valle verde store. Plus , Todd, the best pharmacist ever moved to the Valle verde store. He's so knowledgeable! read more

FYI: IF you purchase fr CVS Store, make sure to print your receipt... If you return an item without a receipt, they will give you a refund you with lesser money... I was there the other day.. I was having a gout attack, and my pcp could not see me, so I went to the minute clinic here and got a rx for colchicine for the attack, and allopurinol for after the attack. The allopurinol came with 2 refills. After the first month, I requested a refill over the phone and nothing indicated a problem. When I went to pick up the refill, the girl said they had no record of me ever being there, or getting a scrip from them. She suggested I speak to someone else. That person did in fact find my record, but said the dr who prescribed the allopurinol with 2 refills decided to cancel the refills. I was never notified. The dr was R. Thomas. The other name was either Olive Boyle or Olive Bayle, I cannot read it on the bottle. Neither she nor the pharmacy bothered to notify me until after I refilled it and went to pick it up. The lack of pride from people in the medical field is horrible. Horrible customer service and a lack of concern from anyone at the pharmacy. read more

I wanted to make a review about a month ago when I saw Michelle go UP AND BEYOND for a costumer in the makeup section that needed help but it just took Michelle being amazing again for me to finally download yelp and make this long overdue review. I recently made an appointment for minute clinic and there was some difficulties before hand in the scheduling but she helped me with all the answers and help I needed. She knew I was in pain and not the best and I felt nothing but safe and comfortable talking to her because she gave that care and concern that's very hard to find these days. Had a negative experience receiving boosters with my older son at CVS on Maryland Parkway ( thought it was the nurse). Decided to select a different location for my 2 younger children. Registered here accidentally as there are two on Horizon Ridge. Arrived late because we went to the one closest to us not realizing the address was on the other side of town. I considered canceling, the pharmacist at our local CVS asked that I go- the doses were marked for us and would be wasted otherwise. When arrived I apologized and explained the confusion. There was no one else waiting in the area. The teens were taken in one at a time and dosed. When they returned to me they said they were told they didn't have to wait. Then (as in less than a minute) WE WERE ASKED TO LEAVE. No 15 minute wait. No explanation. My children did not want me to say anything. We are a mixed minority family of LGBTQ. When they are uncomfortable with the way we are treated they prefer to leave. It hurts but they consider it to be other peoples' problems and other peoples' loss. I see this location has a very low ratings anyway!?! PS: Hella's Bakery across the street erased all the icky emotions of this experience. read more

I have been going to this pharmacy since I moved to the area 3 years ago. I have never had a good experience when picking up My Rx. Most of the employees are friendly but one. I seem to get stuck dealing with this employee the majority of the time go. I don't know her name but she was in the drive thru today. She doesn't say hello and is very abrasive. I have a lifted vehicle and she put the meds in the box instead of handing it to me. It seems like a small thing but, I believe she purposely did it knowing it would be difficult to reach it. I had to remove my seat belt and hang halfway out of vehicle to reach the bag. Before giving me the bag she put a clipboard in there with a paper for me to sign. She saw me struggling to reach it and I even said I couldn't reach it. I don't think this lady should be working with the public because literally ever single time I deal with her she has an attitude. My other issue is it takes forever to the Rx once the dr calls it in. Other times I have received a text that's it's ready just to get there and it's not. No one seems to care!! I have called and complained and nothing changes read more

Have to go to self check out then the machine don't recognize buy one get one at 50 percent off unless you have a card. Won't go to this store anymore. I will say the Female clerk was very nice.
