This CVS CONSISTENTLY has the most aggressive staff of any CVS I've ever entered. Actually, it's the most aggressive staff of any store in which I've ever shopped. NOONE was at the registers. A staff member called out, to no one, in particular, to ask if anyone was at the registers. I verbally confirmed that there were not. Then, I was blindsided from behind by a staff member, a large, intimidating man, snapping at me from the self checkout, "you don't SEE me?!?" Yes, I saw you, doing your job and helping people self check out. That doesn't help any of us waiting in the long line at the registers! The woman who finally waited on me was In no better mood, muttering under her breath, "Jesus Christ..." and other unintelligible words of anger. She hissed, asking me if I had a CVS card, and I said yes... Waiting for my next instructions. This infuriated her as she swung her arm at me to point at the small screen in front of me. No words, just quiet anger. I was passed intimidated and slightly scared at this point. So, I very timidly asked her to apply my coupons, which just frustrated her even more. How is any of this behavior good for business? Do any managers actually check on the employees? If so, CVS needs to check on their managers. This is a pretty good sized location. I went in there to pick up a few odds and ends and I noticed that the store was well stocked with all of the products very neatly faced and organized on the shelves. It was fairly busy in the store which is not a surprise since it is located in a very busy area. The store seemed very well kept up and maintained. The price checker and coupon machines were up and running properly and the machines are a very nice convenience to have. The store clerks all seemed busy stocking shelves, assisting customers, cleaning and so forth. There was a decent sized line at the cash registers but the cashier did a good job cashing everyone out at a quick pace. There is also a self checkout option at this location for anyone who prefers to use the self checkout. Very positive experience here. read more

CVS has discontinued carrying Body Wash called "One +Other" from Zip Code 02116 leaving only the expensive ones. It is available outside of this Zip Code where CVS must believe folks are not as well off as 02116. It is a rather sneaky move. Fortunately Amazon is always the back up for less expensive items and I use it. read more

I've been to this CVS a couple of times and have had no issues with the pharmacy or store aspect of it, but this was the first and last time I will use their photo service. I ordered one 4x6 print on Monday evening, and went Tuesday afternoon to pick it up. The lady at the desk managing the photo service seemed to have made an issue with the customer before me, however I did not expect them to flat out not have my order. I gave her my name (and the correct spelling) multiple times, along with the proof of purchase and pickup to this location. She continued to say that they did not have it, so I left dissatisfied without my order that I already paid for. Beware of the surroundings as well - it is an area where lots of homeless people congregate to harass customers for money. There are plenty of CVSes in the area, I'll be picking a different one. read more

Convenient CVS location near Boston Common which is open 24 hours. The store is across the street from Trinity Church and situated on 2 floors. Noticed the store has a security presence in the front. Understandable since the store is in the city. Though the store is fairly large, it seems a bit rundown as the escalator was broken and I couldn't find one of the items that I was looking for which was zinc. Maybe it was sold out? Overall, I thought this CVS was okay for a city store. Nice to know you can head to this store at all hours of day for a remedy if you aren't feeling well assuming they have the product you want in stock. read more

Employees are very rude and un helpful. When I asked for help they suggested I go to another CVS.

The blonde short older lady that works there needs to relax at the self-checkout. I was navigating through the self-checkout screen and she went over and pressed buttons on my behalf when I didn't ask. I wasn't finished on the previous screen and she came over and basically forced me to pay and leave. Rude individual and she needs to relax, she's really annoying. Do better lady. read more

Remember when this CVS was great? You will have to think back a long way.... waaaaaay back. I attempted to pick up two prescriptions in a timely manner, so I logged on to CVS's website, selected my refills and clicked the box saying I would pick them up in two hours. 2 hours and 45 minutes later I arrived, and they were JUST STARTING TO FILL THEM (and I learned this after waiting about 7 minutes in line). When they were finally done, I had to wait again, since the line was snaking all over the 2nd floor. Moral of the story (and 2016 resolution): no more prescriptions to be filled at a CVS anywhere. read more

If I'm in Copley, and need something, it's most likely that I'll pop in here. No matter what time f day, it's always busy, but you know what? It's Copley Square. It's always busy. That doesn't bother me. It's close to all T stops, so it's convenient to pick things up on the way home. I usually pick up a bottle of water on the way to a class or for a walk on the esplanade. Staff are usually pretty helpful, items are always stocked, and I never have an issue checking out. The photo kiosks/photo lab is pretty cool. I've made some nice creations there for holidays :) read more

24 HOURS CVS!!! One of the few 24 hour CVSs in the area. Something I still find quite shocking about Boston is that there is such a dearth of 24 hour CVSs. Even my little tiny hometown in upstate NY had way more 24 hours CVSs. I am awarding this one an extra star for the 24 hours. Otherwise, 2 stars. It is kind of drab and dirty and I hate how there is always some homeless person standing outside begging for money. I try to avoid unless I need something at a weird hour. read more

Worst pharmacy experience ever! I had my prescriptions transferred from Fenway Community Health because their pharmacy closes early. The first time I went to pick it up, the girl (and I mean 'girl' because she was really young and annoyingly perky) only gave me one of the prescriptions. I didn't know it until I got home. So I called the next morning to make sure everything was all set for me to go pick up the other prescription that evening. They assured me everything was fine. When I got there, they said something about how Fenway had already billed my insurance and therefore, they can't give me the prescription. Mind you, this was after-hours on a Friday night, so it wouldn't be straightened out until Monday. I was furious given that I had called earlier to make sure everything was fine. What made it even more infuriating was the pharmacist telling me she could give me enough for the weekend, but I have to 'promise' (I'm not kidding; she used that word as if I were 6!) I'd go back on Monday to get the rest. Needless to say, I will NEVER go back to this place. read more

Stood there waiting for a person to help me in photo. Had to go downstairs to get someone and they still wouldn't come up. A line started forming behind me so I had to go searching the upstairs aisles until I found some random girl putting away merchandise who was completely oblivious that there were people waiting. This has never been my regular CVS but has on many occasions been a good back up for me. They are practically sitting on Copley square so if you are going by and need a quick soda or snack they will do the trick for a quick pop in. The true benefit of this location is their hours. You get all 24 of them baby! So when you are stumbling home at 4am after being stabbed for the 3rd time that week (you should see the other guy), you can drop in to pick up some gauze and medical tape. The real secret to this store is the hidden second floor. They have a wonderful escalator at the far end of the cash registers, that is somehow always broken, that you can walk up to find most of the things that you thought the store was missing. read more

For the last 15 years I always go to cvs to get my prescriptions. It is suppouse to be auto refill as they describe but I always call since the automatic system has some issues. I did called 4 days ago to have my prescriptions ready a few hours later, to my surprise I went this afternoon to pick them up. Out of 5 only 3 were ready so after waiting for a while for the Manager( Ms. Kaiplin )to express my frustration She gave a non convincing answer at this point. So I was told to come back in 15 minutes to get the rest of the prescriptions and went back to pick it up. I paid for whatever( medicines) were in the back. To my surprise went I opened the bag after driving 45 minutes to get home one of the medicines was missing. I called again to speak to the manager ( Ms Kaiplin) according to her spelling of her name, I was waiting for another 10 minutes on the phone and finally she came to hear my complain and with an attitude and looking over my file in her computer screen she said that they ran out of that particular medicine. So how good is that??? I hope in the future she will have a better understanding of CUSTOMER SERVICES SKILLS and keep in mind that customer are the ones that paid for her salary.. Oscar G. read more

I never liked this CVS until last year, when my boyfriend had a procedure done out in the suburbs and the nurses asked me where to call in the prescriptions. I looked at the clock and said, "But...it's 9:15! By the time we get back to the city, all of the pharmacies near us will be closed!" And that's where this CVS comes in. They're 24 hours, so if you have a middle-of-the-night medical emergency, they'll be open to fill your prescription. Phew. The pharmacist on duty that night was super-helpful, too, since the doctor had written a prescription for a VERY PRICEY drug and not specified if the generic was OK. The girl actually called the doctor to see if she could swap it with the generic, and then when they didn't have it, she called around to all of the other 24-hour CVS stores in the area to see if they did. That said, I don't very much like this store. It's small, cramped, and crowded, and on two levels. So, it has everything a CVS should have, but half the stuff's upstairs. They do have a self-checkout, which is nice because the lines can back up. The one thing I truly hate about this CVS is that the doorway is perpetually blocked by panhandlers, hobos, and other unsavory loiterers. You have to run the gauntlet past the man asking for change for holding the door for you when you didn't ask him to, the man body-blocking the door so you have to very deliberately ignore him, and the many obnoxious "we're traveling and have no money" groups as well as the aggressive canvassers for local non-profits panhandling for their cause. Many times, these people are legitimately trespassing on the store's property, but management doesn't tell them to get lost like they should. I generally avoid CVS stores because they're overpriced, but this is a useful CVS if you're in the area, or need a prescription late at night. If it weren't open 24 hours, I'd knock off a star. read more

Qualifying statement: Working in training & development of staff in the restaurant industry, I probably value (and analyze) customer service more than the next guy; but I'm fair. Analysis: This CVS is winning the "Who has the most inept employees on this planet" contest. I swear. Finding an employee who can answer a simple question here is like needle in haystack work. I feel exhausted after watching three employees "discuss" where the dry erase boards are, if they have any back-stocked, or if a manager can look in the computer system to see when another board will arrive. It was as if I'd asked them how many ping-pong balls they could squeeze into a friggin' 747 in 2008!?!?...and what the present value of that cost is. WTF! Today's neighborhood drugstore... It's embarrassing how much money I end up dropping at CVS. This one is the closest to my apartment so I frequent it the most. The pharmacy is always behind schedule but they are very sweet and apologetic. Yes, the people who work behind the counter and are re-shelving aren't really interested in being helpful but the place is kept relatively clean and organized. This store has been going down the drains. I have been going for at least 10 years. The staff at the pharmacy has turned into a circus. They are supposed to have automatic renewals and I got a bogus excuse to get me in the store again. In addition, the pharmacy staff was more interested in her emails and fixing her makeup in the mirror than helping customers. Lastly, CVS posts distounts prices and then when you go to the cashier, the old price pops up. You have to follow them constantly and, frankly, they cannot be trusted anymore. read more

Being asked if I need help 5 times by 4 different people in a span of 5 minutes doesn't seem helpful and friendly, it seems overbearing and like you don't trust me. one of the security door men , followed my girlfriend into the food aisle and asked where she lived , who she lived with and if she had a boyfriend and stood way to close to her . She was alone, on break from her bartending job and proceeded to call me to tell me about this creep. She goes here often but if you're a girl alone at night , wouldn't reccomend. I can't really speak to the quality of the entire CVS but two great points stick out in my mind: 1. I went today to get pictures developed off of an underwater disposable camera. UPDATE: The HTS has mainly matinee showings now and the new evening show is young college kids wanting you to donate money for the welfare of the children. I know what you are thinking (I've got the mind reading skillz; that's right with a Z!) "Why did she give this an extra star if there are MORE people hustling you outside this place?!". Because they renovated the inside and moved stuff around and put in security camera and got rid of 'make-out photo counter corner'. They still only have three stars because some genius thought having 6 new self checkouts would be better than people helping you. In a way it is but now you have 87% more confused people wondering why the computers hate them. You don't have to do the math on that, it's correct (I looked in the back of the book). Other new features: pre-made salads that if you buy them on the good day they are good, a milk section that is always pushed back so that employees can "chill" in the freezer, an open make-up section so you can openly judge the weird women who try to try it out. read more

I use this store to buy cookies and random things on the way to work. The employees are generally nice, but I don't interact with them too much...however, this review is mostly for the photo guy in the morning. He was really nice and polite when I dropped off my disposible camera to be processed and the photos were ready when I asked for them (Possibly because so few people use film cameras these days, but whatever). I've been here a few times. There's an upstairs and a downstairs. i think the best attribute here is that it's 24 hours so you can always get something in case of emergency or something. However, I've almost busted my ass twice here too because the entrance to the place is all messed up out front. The pavement isn't smooth and my heels just went the wrong way and almost twisted my ankles. I don't particular care for this CVS because while it's big, it's also congested. wow this place has come a log way from the only 24 hour Pharmacy in town days. Where only the sickest most despite folks in all of Boston would venture. Coming in and out of here at all hours of the night like a black and white zombie movie. God forbid you ever found your self among them, and you drag your self up stairs to be greeted by the 15 year old pharmacist with the knife scars and the "now what" look on their face. Yup come a long way, now they have a pre made lunches? The lady getting her lunch here gave me a dirty look as I laughed to tears about this. I'm surprised by all the negative reviews! I mean, yes, it's a pretty grungy CVS but it's right in Copley Square and it's 24 hours. I pop in here often for random little things that I need when I'm too lazy to go to Star Market. The self-checkout is super quick. Convenient location for this CVS. The store has all of the typical convenience store goods on the bottom with self-checkout. The upstairs section has the pharmacy and related products. There's not much else to say as its like most other CVS locations. I would actually recommend the nearby CVS on The corner of Columbus and Clarendon if you for some reason were in between the two. read more

They definitely earned their five stars today. I was short of time with having a prescription filled. I had taken it to few other pharmacies and was told they were out of stock and I had to wait few days. When I got here there was no place to park but a loading zone. It said 10 minutes loading! Well I was in away loading, right? I asked the girl behind the counter how long it would take to have my prescription filled and told her I had parked in the loading zone. Not only did they had the medicine I needed, but their price for cash payment was $4.00 less then other pharmacies. With so many assistants on hand, they had me out of there in less then 10 minutes. Very rude employees. I have been treated poorly as a paying customer on more than one occasion - to the point where I choose not to shop or purchase my prescriptions there anymore. I now shop at Walgreen's (Roxbury Crossing being a favorite), which has a neighborhood feel to it. In all fairness, some of the employees at the door/checkout stations are nice and friendly.
