The Walgreens on Park & Garth Rd was my pharmacy since 1997!. I received great personal service,…read moreand the employees were all doing their jobs well. They recently closed. I tried to pick up a prescription at the one near the St. Luke's (San Jacinto Hospital) on Garth and Birdsong. My son and I found the employees slow, few in number, and unfriendly. We walked out. Next, I went to the one on N. Alexander Dr and Ward Rd. My first few times, there were many "pan-handlers". I found it depended on the time of day. It felt unsafe. That was resolved. Then I went to pick up a prescription after they called and said it was ready. 1) I waited a long time in line, only to be told it was still being processed. I was instructed to return after 2 pm. 2) It wasn't ready then, either. 3) I went back two days later to give them time to fill it. They said it had not been filled yet!! I drove away, and called the Walgreens on Garth near the Cracker Barrel. They said my meds would be transferred and ready in two days. Now I'm without meds 7 days, but when I went to get them they were ready!!! The service was friendly and professional. It's the furthest from my house, but worth the drive!!!! I hope this pharmacy will be worthy of my business like the one that was closed just blocks from my house who served me well from 1997-2025.

I've been trying to pick up meds I ordered to be picked up last Thursday, and it's now 8 days later.) - Service is always slow though there are many "working". The wait time once finally ready is long. - They don't have enough staff in the store area to assist you with other purchases. +They finally did something about the homeless hanging outside the main doors. It felt uncomfortable to go there in the evening after work.

And, yesterday I was on hold for 22 minutes and was passed around from pharmacy to the regular Walgreens store manager, and then to the photo shop. The young man at the photo was very nice and he transferred me back to the Walgreens pharmacy. Once transferred back over Shaun finally answered the phone. I explained to her that I noticed every time she is there or Joe. They always make us wait a long time on the phone or they hang up. This incident with Shaun 1st occurred several months ago when I drove to the drive thru window to pick up my medicine and Shaun comes over and says really loud- Hey Ingra, I know you from Pleasantville. I see that you are trying to pick up your pain medicine, but I'm showing you should still have 8 pills left, and you shouldn't be taking that pain medicine anyway. I told her it was none of her business that I was taking pain medication, she is not my doctor and doesn't know what's going on with my body. And, it wasn't her job to question me! She then stated that the DEA is very picky about pain medication, and that as a pharmacy she has to notify the patients. I told her to take it up with DEA. They also needed to contact my 4 doctors as well. I also told her she has violated the HIPA law by discussing all of this in front of my son, the car behind me in drive thru, and all of the customer's and workers that were standing around us working that night, because I wasn't in the car. I had gotten out of the car and walked up to the window. I stated that she could have pulled me to the side and confidently speak with me. So, every since that incident she was be treating me with disrespectful. And, making me stay on hold for 22 to 47 minutes or hanging up on me and my daughter. I spoke to the manager as well on yesterday by the name of Jennifer and she stated that she was in the pharmacy when Shaun spoke with me. I asked her didn't she speak with me earlier and she said No! When I reviewed my notes of everything that happened. She was one of the people that I was transferred to while waiting to get back to the pharmacy to speak with Shaun. She also stated to me that they have to report that type of medication to DEA. I explained to Jennifer the same thing that I told Shaun a couple of months ago. I also told HER that I have 18 illnesses and I also had a stroke, and it is not there business to question my medication. They just needed to fill the prescriptions. I also want to say this, that both times I had a disagreement with Shaun. I had received a text message from Walgreens saying my medication was ready. Also,on yesterday I received a message from Walgreens, saying my medication was ready, and why does she question it. She told Jennifer it was too soon. That was a lie. The last time I picked up my medication was 6/23. Yesterday was 7/31 it was 7 days over due. I explained that to Jennifer and I also asked her why when Shaun received all of my 12 prescriptions from my doctor, the pain medication had a note by it saying -verifying with insurance. Why did she have to verify my pain medication. She was just nit picking, none of the rest of the medications said that until I called in to complain. All of a sudden I then received a text message now saying that she went in and put verifying insurance besides them. I have never, had any problems with Mr. Manny when it comes to my prescriptions. He just does he jobs and fill them. He knows that everything is true and accurate. I also want to say that Dr. Garcia has called and talked to the pharmacist before about having my prescriptions ready every month, because I was having to wait from 3 days to a week to get my diabetes medication and my pain medication. I also explained to Jennifer-the manager yesterday that if it wasn't for customers like me spending my money there every month since the year if 2007; then a lot of them wouldn't have jobs. I was also told that Shaun had problems at the Walgreens on Market St. In San Jacinto and they made her leave that location. I would like to tell Mr. Manny that I'm sorry that I had to write this about his store, because he really is a nice guy. But, Shaun is going to have to do better. One last thing. I have notes, screen shots and 2 witness about the way I have been treated whenever Shaun or Joe answers the phone. They say the greeting really fast and don't give you the time to speak or the will just hang up or have kept us on hold from 20 to 30 minutes. Walgreens Corporate Office please make them do better! Sincerely, Ingra Roberts-Stephens
