So far, the wrong formulation of a medication was ordered. My last call had an older-sounding woman getting all my details wrong, from number of pills I had picked up months ago to its copay. I told her my copay was always "x." She continued to rattle on. I should have hung up and called back, hoping for another tech. That one clearly did not know how to interpret what was on the computer screen or listen. The pharmacy register staff sound and look pretty unhappy in their jobs, and it is a drag to experience this. The one plus, so far, is I get through line quickly. I check all details in advance , and I show up in the afternoon before it gets busy.

Pharmacist did not seem focused on filling script but she was talking with others, helping someone with delivery of copy paper, etc. After 45+ mins, meds ready, 2 of 3 scripts only had 8-12 pills, not enough to get me thru Tuesday when more pills available. At noon went to another pharmacy have scripts transferred from Kinney. After 5 hours Kinney called requesting me to complete sale before they would transfer script. Consequently, it was too late for the script to be transferred & filled by the other pharmacy that day. This was the second bad experience with not enough pills and poor service. On a positive note, the other pharmacist was working hard and "staying on task". He filled multiple scripts without interruptions.

I've spent over an hour the last two days on hold, being sent back to the front of the store, and then back to the pharmacy. If employees are going to be instructed to ignore the phone, then this should be indicated in the phone maze. It's simple -- "The pharmacy is currently not taking phone calls due to increased customer volume." Done. People not happy. But not wasting time waiting for someone to pick up. The pharmacist who helped me over the phone was able to pull up her prescription and get it ready within an hour. He was incredibly pleasant! My daughter has her prescription already. I try to never rush them and I often go in and sit down and rest a minute until they get caught up and there's a nice place to do just that. They are all very welcoming and kind and always seem to have a kind word. The only thing they could do better is move to a larger location down the street and then bring in more people with the same great attitude! Get used to a highly repetitive diet. Bakery is overly sweet. Food overall is a little pricier. No real sales as with the high-low supermarkets. Most of the fresh fruit is inedible. Just try ripening a peach and compare it to the succulent beauties at Shaw's! Despite my highly repetitive diet, they are chronically out of stock on one thing or another. They use an unnamed 3rd party delivery service, and they are literally (nickel and) diming me to death with all the single foods getting its own bag! This added 10 cents each to my cereal and to my frozen pops for getting their own bags. The Vermont bag fee is about reducing bags by charging 10 cents to DISCOURAGE USE OF BAGS ON SINGLE ITEMS. The delivery service either does not know this or does not care.
