This Hannaford store was our go-to place for our local grocery shopping. For years it had been a…read moreclean well stocked store on every visit. That all changed during and after the pandemic. It is like they never recovered. The shelves are often empty, especially of sale items. Not just sometimes, almost every day. Recently we stopped four days in one week for a meat sale item and when they had none the management had one excuse after another. It has become so frustrating to shop and not find close to half of the items we're looking for forcing us to shop at another store. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pharmacy staff is exceptional and is the reason we still buy all of our prescriptions at this store. Basically we now buy almost all of our food at the local PRICE CHOPPER MARKET 32 that has everything we need on every visit at lower prices.

A couple of blips in doctors not giving prescriptions on time, but never had anything but kindness from the pharmacists and people at the RX counter. Cost-saving advice about medicines and insurance, too. The staff at the front - I am pointing at you, Effie! - are fantastic. I feel at home here. As an old person with some odd health needs, I am always treated with respect. And I am greeted by my name when I come in, by Edgar and Mary and Tiffany. I highly recommend this local drugstore. We do not need a CVS!

My RX has been on a national wide shortage and has been a challenge to not only get each month but also plan around and figure out how to best set expectations. Other pharmacies have been curt, unhelpful and made a stressful situation worse - but NOT these folks - they have been SUPERB! I can't say enough about how they have patiently assisted me with questions, educated me when needed and responded promptly each and every time I've needed anything. Again, pharmacies can be an under the radar type of relationship for many of us - but if you have the option - these folks are professional, helpful and all around impressive at their job! The store is tidy, laid out properly and appeared to be well stocked. I had no trouble hitting up the ATM and then picking up a small can of cashews as a snack. Hooray. So,I called my new pharmacy right at 9:00 AM,when they opened I explained that I was a new costumer. And I had made sure I called at that time because there is a medication I get that pharmacies usually need to order. So the person I spoke to said it would be ok and she would get info from my old pharm and I specifically told them my phone # and told her that that one med usually needed ordering and she said she would get them ready. So,I couldn't make it in until 6 pm that evening. The lady (who really did have a stink ass attitude and was clearly not glad to help anyone) She hands me only one of my Rx's. I asked her where the other was. She says she needs to order it and since it was so late in the day,it wouldn't arrive till Weds (it was Mon). So,this really pisses me off,since I live so far away and kinda need my Rx AND I had called prompt right when they open. It also messes up the timing of me getting my meds all at once,kinda don't want to spend all my money on gas.. But, whatever I decided to just go with it. However when Wednesday came I went in to pick it up,that same same miserable lady was working. They did manage to get the med in (bravo). But her attitude was really off putting. She asked to say the last 4 digits of my phone number (after I just gave it her) and I didn't quite catch what she said I asked her to repeat and she barks it at me. FU. I'm done with them

They are compassionate human beings who really care. My wife recently passed away and she pretty much handled everything within the household. So, when we decided to still come to Vt as she would have this summer, I thought I did the right thing by getting my son's epilepsy meds before leaving. But, I didn't realize that Rite Aid only filled a third of the prescription and never told me. They did charge me full price though so, I didn't think anything of it. Well, he ran out while we were still here. Dave and Patty went above and beyond to get his prescription and the medicine ordered so my son would have it. And they had it delivered the very next morning. Also, for the same price I pay for it at home. Really, I can't thank them enough! Thank you Dave and Patty! Like I said, I wish they were located in NY because I guarantee that I wouldn't get the same treatment there.

I went to the ER with a severe asthma attack. I was checked out and given a nebulizer treatment…read moreand prednisone. When I showed the respiratory therapist my inhaler he said "this is a dud. It doesn't work. I had it for less than a week. I told him I had thrown away two previous ones that were the same. He said it could be a bad batch and should be reported. I went to Kinney Drugs and tried to replace it, but they said I couldn't get a new one because I had only gotten this one six days ago. I told her that the nrespiratory therapist had told me it could be a bad batch. I also told her the nurse practitioner said to call him if there was a problem. She asked me to have a seat. A while later another woman approached me from behind the counter and told me I couldn't get the alternative inhaler he had prescribed unless I paid $85 cash. I said I don't care, I still want it. Then I tried to tell her about the possibility of a bad batch and she curtly told me "Well no other customers have complained about it." She displayed no concern about what happened to me or what might be happening to others. I had been suffering with bad asthma attacks for many months and did not understand why the inhalers did not seem to help. I feel I should be re-imbursed for all three faulty inhalers, and it is the pharmacist's responsibility to report possible "bad batches" of drugs.
