We switched from Walmart pharmacy to this location and they do not follow directions well. I meant to transfer meds here that didn't need filled yet and they filled them anyway. They call text non stop to pick these meds up when we cancelled them. They also have very poor service. Switching to Amazon now. Hello This is a review for all the people that think CVS Pharmacy is bad..... Make sure you sign up for text alerts, otherwise you won't know your script is ready. Then you get there and are mad at them because it's not ready. People do your part and things run smoothly. I absolutely LOVE CVS on 280 N Avondale Blvd, I wait for my texts and follow their instructions. Bam whata you know my script is ready because I followed their procedures. If you don't know ask: Cedar and Kari are two of the most caring people I've met. The rest of the staff is really supportive as well. Please people CVS in Avondale Blvd is the best most prompt Pharmacy I've ever used. And I've used pharmacies for 28 years. The store is clean, people are nice, store is stocked. Management is fantastic. Can't say enough good things about CVS and their Pharmacy there. Thank you Cedar and Kari for your extra love and kindness. Won't go anywhere else. Good Customer Service I went into CVS because I thought I might be coming down with a bug and thought it would be a good idea to stock up on some over the counter medicine. When I arrived at the store I wasn't quite sure what medicine would be the appropriate medicine to take. The pharmacist took the time to answer all my questions even suggested a medicine that would work best. I normally do not go to CVS for my prescriptions or over-the-counter drugs. However this will be the place I come in the future. You can't beat this type of customer service. In fact the customer service is so good and fast I didn't have time to walk the aisles looking at the random items you find in drug stores. read more

At 12:34pm today, CVS texted me that a prescription was ready for pickup. The link in the text showed me pharmacy hours, but no mention was made that it is closed between 1:30 and 2:00pm. The only way you would find that out is when you actually get to the window and have the roll-down window slammed in your face at 1:20 pm!! I beeped to find out why I was being treated that way. I showed the time on phone was 1:21. I was told that I had gone around a closed sign (I had not--the sign had only rules about Covid testing, see photo), and that if the process takes more than 5 minutes, they close BEFORE 1:30. I told her that I had been informed that the prescription was ready for pickup. She relented and took my information. She arrived back at the window with it at 1:24 and I was given the prescription at 1:26. I will post photos of the signage and the information in the link from their text regarding their hours. Called script in on Monday evening. Told it would be available Tuesday between 12:00-3:30. Arrived at 5:30, was told to come in and wait in-store with my newborn. An hour later was told their inventory was not correct. Apologies were given, and was told it would be in on Wednesday instead between 3:00-5:00. Was told the regional director (or similar title would reach out per my request). Arrived around 5:30 on Wednesday, waited in a long line, and had the pharmacist give my wife an attitude, saying it still wasn't in stock. Husband arrived 1 hour later, waited in line with our child for an additional 45 minutes, and was told it had been there since shipment arrived that morning. Husband requested again to have the regional director call. Thursday night, still no call. read more

NEVER NEVER AGAIN! If I could give zero stars I would. My regular pharmacy was closed and I was prescribed cold medicine for an upper respiratory infection. The doctor's office phoned the scripts to this pharmacy and I waited an hour to pick it up. It still wasn't ready. They told me another 10-15 minutes. I went home and gave them another hour. I came back and they told me they didn't fill it because they didn't have my insurance information. The scripts were $6 and $7 dollars without the insurance information. I think 95% of us can afford that. Where is the common sense these days. Oh I forgot the new buzz word is "Critical thinking" The 2005 movie Idiocracy is alive and well today. read more

Love the location. The pharmacy is excellent. However, the cashiers in the front try to push off their job to the self checkout. I don't mind the self checkout but when there's already people using them and the cashier is just standing there I'd like some service. It's almost every time I go there they're trying to make me do their job. I could see if they were super busy like the supermarket. read more

WARNING! If you want to get your medication refilled do not come here! Every time I come here its some kind of a issue. It takes them weeks to fill a prescription, and sometimes they can't even figure out the insurance. Never again will I be back, I'm tired of having to make multiple trips back here to get prescription. If I wait to have it filled when it is already suppose to be I have to wait 30 to 40 mins. I have even talked with 3 managers at the store and they still can't get it figured out. As of today all of my prescriptions will be sent elsewhere. read more

My wife went to this location. Bought some milk. They had buy two get 10$ off. For some odd reason it wasn't working. So she paid and the cashier gave her a 10$ receipt that was printed and told her to use it on her next purchase. Well a week later she went to cvs and tried using it. And Jason the "store manger" wouldn't except it. Talking to my wife with attitude and no customer services at all. So she left. I called and spoke to Jason. And he tried telling me this conversation is over while I am in the middle of talking. I guess he didn't like the fact that the conversation was not over. Anyways he told me I can use the 10$ off next time she goes it. And when my wife went back today to use it. Jason told all his employees not to use it if she comes In. Not only she went back and forth. He sat there telling his employees to wait for her and tell her your husband made him upset. And he doesn't want to use it no more ? Made him upset. Because he knew I was right. And didn't like the fact when he tried hanging up on me And he couldn't. I will be contacting CVS cooperate office. read more

Brand new pharmacy and they killed it by moving this slob of a pharmacist from the horrid dysart location to this one. Her communication is all over the place. Drool coming out of her mouth and I can't understand a word she says. Very stressful. I've been waiting for this pharmacy to stabilize before switching but, after seeing her there and knowing how she runs a pharmacy, no way, EVER. I thought CVS was smart enough to fire this one but, yet again, a skeleton crew they keep the baddies. Shame. I'll be calling corporate about this. I submitted a refill online and received an email saying "We've received your order and will begin processing it shortly. If we run into any issues while filling your prescriptions, we will contact you or your prescriber. CVS pharmacy Pick up on:December 28, 2018 02:00 PM" The appointed time came and went but no messages from CVS that it was ready. When I called they claimed that they had tried to contact my doctor but had not heard back. They suggested that I try to reach him. When I called his office, their staff told me that he had left the state five months ago! I made an appointment to see another person in his office and the new prescription refill was sent electronically to CVS on 1/7/19. No communication received from CVS by 1/9/19. When I called CVS, they told me once again to contact my doctor's office as they had not heard from him. I did, and I called CVS a half hour later to see if it had been received this second time--they now assure me that it will be ready in four hours. When I tried to ask if they would be alerting me by phone/text/email, they had already hung up on me without so much as a goodbye. read more

If I can give ZERO stars I definitely would! I have been a customer at this cvs for a few years now. I have never had any complaints everyone has always been friendly. Until today! Today I spoke to someone by the name of Destiny. She was rude since the very second she answered my phone call up until even asking her to let me speak to the manager. When I asked her for her name she said "my name is destiny why what's yours?!" Which was un necessary. Then when I told her I was hung up on the first time I called she replied "ok and what do you need". Instead of saying "oh I'm sorry about that, but how can I help you." I had to mention. So you're not going to at least apologize for that. She then said "well I'm sorry we're just really busy what do you need". Still RUDE. This girl does NOT belong here she needs to definitely work on her customer service skills because she has NONE!
