This is a great CVS. There are a lot of new CVSs and drug stores out there, but that doesn't always mean clean store, easy to navigate and good help. However, this one has that triumvirate. The pharmacy staff was incredibly helpful and courteous when fulfilling a kind of screwy order and transferring a prescription. The store is always kept impeccably clean and it's pretty easy to find what you need. The lines at a lot of drugstores can get long and awkward, however they've always been quick here. It's worth the trip to this place if you need a quick item or a trip to the pharmacy. Good deal people. read more

I'm usually a Walgreens kinda gal, but I wasn't going to be picky after visiting 5 food trucks. I needed to find something just in case antacid hits on the drive back home to Houston. Super neat store with friendly service. I was greeted with a smiling face walking in, top of the notch service duing check out and also greeted on the way out. OMG! Notoriously bad at charging more at the register than the price shown on the shelf. Fairly certain their attitude, or perhaps it's their actual business model, is: "What's an extra dollar here and there? The idea of an online appointment scheduling system is great, but the CVS interface will not accept my legal first name which has a hyphen in it. So...I am forced to either enter a name that does not match my insurance or ID or I am blocked from using the online system. Come one CVS! Surely you can do better! read more

This is honestly the worst pharmacy I've ever encountered. I came back three times after continuing to calling and telling me my prescriptions were ready. They were not. My doctor accidentally sent me back to this pharmacy and they only ring up one prescription when I should have two. I ask if there's another one and they just said it's out of stock. Wellll.... okay... when are you getting back? Where you going to let me know that? Great. They are SO BAD!!!!!! go to Walgreens .25 miles down the road. read more

This is a very unethical establishment. The manager has a group if people hiding in the parking lot and boots you car for towing. Makes you pay $100 to un-boot the car and keep from towing it. Read the list of reviews, this has been going on for a very long time. I wonder if this is a cash cow for the manager and management is pocketing the cash? Does corporate know about this? Is the IRS aware of this income stream? They will all find out now. read more

The pharmacist is rude AF. Two prescriptions were called in on a Thursday and he only typed in one, when I went in to pick up my prescription on that Friday, I only got one medication. When I asked why there weren't two he said he only got one (which wasn't true). When I went to call my optometrist to inquire, they were already closed. I had to go 3 days without my prescription. Then on that Monday my optometrist called in the second prescription again, after clarifying that they HAD THE MEDICATION, I go in to pick it up. Low and behold they don't have it. And never decide to give me a call? And some how it's my fault? The main pharmacist (red headed man) is a smart aleck and is overwhelmingly unhelpful. I'll be switching pharmacies from here on out. read more

WOW cannot believe what happened at my daughter's surprise birthday party this afternoon!!! It was PREARRANGED that her guests could park in the CVS parking lot. The biggest surprise was that several cars were booted!!! There was some vulture just waiting for people to park there. What kind of place would agree to letting people park there and then allowing the vulture to boot their cars??? Makes me go HUMMMM. Who is dipping their fingers in the pot? I really love CVS in Los Angeles and was happy to find one in Austin. However, I was really surprised by the state of this CVS. The lighting was kind of sad and the shelves weren't fully stocked. I was able to find what I needed though. This place was not busy on a Sunday morning so I was able to pay and be on my way. read more

Love it .......on my way home........ yes Thank you God for giving me one more stop in case I should need cane tips,Milk ,easy to get in and out and also loved to just browsed . Is that weird ? Worst pharmacy. Took my baby to an urgent care on Saturday. My little had cellulitis and was heading toward sepsis. I went to the pharmacy and it was 615, there system shuts down at 6. The pharmacist, Katan, was still there. I told him I needed medicine for my baby. He told me that there system shuts down at 6 and there was nothing he could do for me. I told him i needed to get an antibiotic for my sick baby. He told me I would have to go to Round Rock for a pharmacy that was open. I told him I dont need a cvs, i just need any pharmacy because my baby is very sick and needs her medication. He told me there was no pharmacies that were 24 hours in Austin. I again told him I didnt need a cvs and he said again that no Austin pharmacies were open. I didnt believe this, that's crazy. I googled it luckily trusting my instincts and the walgreens a few blocks down was open. So we got our medication. I followed up monday with our babies Dr. She 100% believes had we waited for them to open at 10 the next day, missing 2 doses, our baby would have been hospitalized for sepsis. What a horrible person to lie and tell us this. I went back a few days later to see if he was promoting cvs or if he was truly ignorant. He was promoting cvs and was aware that walgreens was open. Thus man has no business in the medical profession. I have many further complaints on this pharmacy, but my last piece of advice to anyone ever going to this cvs is to make sure you look at goodrx before getting any meds bc they could care less about you or any finances you have, they are doing their minimal work effort and will not help you try to save money. I got charged $180 with insurance for a script I would get for $30 without insurance and they did not care enough to tell me. When I enquired they were so rude about it. They will boot or tow if you leave your car unattended for more than 10 minutes. Parking/towing signs are not easily visible in this parking lot. Used to shop here all the time but not after my $5 shopping trip turned into a $105 shopping trip due to getting booted. Thank you, CVS - I'll be going elsewhere from now on. read more

Horrible service. My doctor emailed my refill in (early in the morning) like he always does and has done for the past 5 years. Drove up to the drive thru window (close to closing time) and was told that there was "No prescription for JT"... The rude young man at the window prompted the pharmacist to "Deal with this guy". The pharmacist was equally as rude and insisted that my doctor must've tried to FAX and that they don't accept FAX scrips anymore. I explained that he'd emailed the scrip in early that morning and they both became defensive and launched into a diatribe about... "You're sure he didn't send it to Wallgreens!?... Just because your doctor emailed it in doesn't mean we've filled it yet! You need to wait until you receive a text... only then should you come here to retrieve your refill!!!". Then they slammed the window shut in my face. Do yourself a favor and go to Rite Aid or Wallgreens! read more

Trying to refill a prescription through this pharmacy is a joke. I put in a request 6 days ago and still have not gotten my medicine. The pharmacist told me that he'd not received the request 3 days after I'd used their online refill request form. As I was waiting he told me he'd put in a request to my doctor for a refill. This is not the first time. They consistently botch refill requests. The pharmacist was very clearly coming unglued, working by himself, waiting on all the customers at the front desk, answering the phone, working the drive through pick up window, working the cash register, counseling customers about their medications, and filling prescriptions. They could have used at minimum 3 or 4 additional employees in the pharmacy. If CVS has that little respect for employees who are working so hard for them they don't deserve to be in business. The corporation is out of control. I'm definitely transferring my prescriptions to a different company. read more

I've been really impressed with the level of customer service at this CVS, particularly in the pharmacy. I had a problematic insurance situation, and both the pharmacist and the technicians really went out of their way to get the mess figured out. This was a situation that stretched over several days, and required the pharmacy to make multiple phone calls to the insurance call center, then ultimately get creative with how they filled the prescription so that it fit within the insurance company's requirement (they didn't do anything wrong, there was just a glitch in the system that prevented the prescription from being filled even after it was approved, and they managed to outsmart the system). Best of all, I didn't have to go to the pharmacy and deal with all of this in person. They answered my phone calls, worked it themselves, then called me back with updates and the ultimate resolution. When I went back for a flu shot several weeks later, the pharmacist remembered me. Oh, and I love that they text you when your prescription is ready for pick up. Great. I noticed that another review commented that no one greeted them as they came and went. Perhaps after seeing that review, the store manager corrected the problem, because now the person working the register by the door ALWAYS says hello. The first few times it happened, I was caught off guard because it so wasn't expected. I wasn't sure he was even talking to me, so I ignored him, but then it happened again and again. So, good on CVS for responding to this feedback. Like others, I don't normally review chains, but I thought this was an example of excellent customer service that should be noted. read more

I like CVS because it's easy to go online and refill your prescription, tell them what time you want to pick it up, and then just walk in, pay for it, and leave. This store is always usually pretty empty, and I've never had to wait to pick up a prescription. The pharmacists are pretty nice and I have to say this is probably my favorite pharmacy to go to because they are quick and efficient. read more

They're open now, obviously! I've been in here a number of times now, and it's about as convenient and pleasant as a CVS gets. They're in a super convenient spot to get cash if you need it for Lulu B's. Cashiers are always sufficiently friendly, and don't push too hard on the whole CVS card thing. read more

Great customer service in the pharmacy. They are always very quick to refill my prescriptions and recently set up a convenient 3-month supply for one of my medications. Picking up my prescription is always a breeze, and when my insurance changed they were easy to work with to get everything in order, they even accepted a PDF of my new insurance card on my iPhone since I didn't have a physical copy with me. read more

My experience with this CVS has been horrendous. When I first enrolled a few months ago, it took them over 30 minutes to determine how to input my insurance card. I have Blue Cross and not some off brand provider. More importantly, each time that I've filled my prescription I've stressed how necessary it is for the system to refill and inform me in an automated manner when the prescription is ready. For reference, my script costs a few thousand and it has taken me years of filling the prescription a little early to accumulate a cushion. This is the third straight time their system has failed. The person on the other end typically says well you were enrolled in this part of our system but not this part of our system, so since you ran out of refills, we just sat there. It's usually some story along those lines. Anyway, I've given up. The last time that I stressed how important this was I spoke directly with the lead pharmacist. This is bad business practice for CVS and has devastated my cushion of additional medicine. read more

I'm not one to write reviews of places (as evidenced by the fact that this is my very first review), but my experience with this pharmacy staff was so exceptional that I felt I had to. I needed refills on a few prescriptions, but I had been using a different CVS location and some needed to be transferred. Further complicating the matter was that I was using a rebate card for one of the prescriptions and the group number on the card couldn't be located. Charlie, the staff member who assisted me, spent HOURS tracking down the other pharmacies as well as the rebate information. Furthermore, he kept me updated with the medication prices and the status of my refills. I have never had such an easy and friendly interaction with a pharmacy, and I will continue to use this location (and this chain) for my pharmaceutical needs. read more

I have been very disappointed with the service of this pharmacy and their disorganization. I appreciate their nice pharmacists, but I have had trouble getting a simple prescription filled for two weeks. Due to some insurance and coupon issues, I wanted to have one of my prescriptions reversed and sent to a different pharmacy. They assured me that they did indeed reverse it, but my insurance provider told me that they hadn't received a claim reversal. I assumed it would be reversed the following day, but a week later, CVS still has not gotten around to doing it. I also had my dermatologist call in a new prescription, but this CVS never seemed to receive it. So many things have fallen through the cracks at this location that I have completely given up. Their phone numbers also appear to be incorrect throughout the internet. Both my insurance and I have tried to call the numbers both from Google and CVS.com, and we cannot get a hold of the pharmacy if our lives depended on it. I am hoping that all of this mess was due to some system error rather than human error, but I am so frustrated about this entire experience that I will certainly be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Came to the pharmacy on a Monday night and they were extremely understaffed and had no prescriptions ready for anyone. Thought it was just an off day, but had to come back 4 days later and they were even more understaffed and behind. The actual pharmacist should not be the one manning the drive thru lane. They desperately need to hire more people. I saw 2 people storm out out of frustration in the FORTY FIVE minutes they made me wait. read more

I've been a loyal customer for 3 years. I literally go there almost every day. I have also been parking at the other side of their HUGE parking lot to go to Loro, Black Sheep and Queens Spa. It's been great since we are all part of the neighborhood and there isn't a lot of parking for those venues. The CVS parking lot is absolutely huge. If it was packed in there, you still wouldn't fill all the spots. Today, I parked in the HUGE parking lot to have a manicure. I thought that was fair since of course, I'd already shopped there this morning. There was no sign near my spot telling me I couldn't park there but my car was booted. The company said it was because there was new management at CVS and they contracted them to boot every car in the parking lot that doesn't go into CVS. They will take it off for "only" $100. Happy holidays CVS to one of your loyal customers. I'll be going to Walgreens from now on. And to the new management - we don't treat people like that in 78704. It is a corporate drugstore so you go in with low expectations. But at this CVS the staff was very friendly and helpful. I was in a lot of pain because I fell down the stairs and didn't know what pain killers to take. The pharmacy assistant explained a bunch of stuff to me I didn't know about how different brands numb different areas of your body. Not sure that this is a fair review of your store, but the curbside order and pick up is a nightmare.

For years I've been parking here to run my errands, which always included CVS. I'd walk down to the Chase ATM, grab a coffee from Opa and then get my pharmacy supplies, sometimes filling a script, other times just grabbing general goods. I'm very diligent about patronizing the business I park at and appreciated the fact that this lot was always very empty. Imagine my surprise when I walked outside to see my vehicle gone one day. Shakily controlling my fury, I confronted the quavering manager inside who couldn't wait to throw the tow company employee under the bus. I stalked outside and carefully spoke to an extremely frightened teenager about what happened until I had to walk away before I lost my temper. When I went downtown to retrieve my stolen vehicle, the woman at the towyard told me that people had walked out of their shopping trip to CVS to see their car gone before. They had to pay to get it out. It was not a one-off event. This is theft and the management there is terribly useless. I have many photos of the lot I've taken, showing the lack of signs on the day I was towed, and many subsequent photos of the various changes they made over months. This is purely about separating people from their money and is completely unethical. Park here at your own risk, being a customer is no guarantee of safety. And it goes without saying that I will never be visiting a CVS anywhere ever again, at least not with the intention of buying anything. read more
