My doctor warned me. She said this CVS has constant problems filling prescriptions because their system doesn't see the dosing information correctly. I shouldn't taken the hint! Yes, CVS had that exact problem, but that was only the beginning. To start, after waiting in line to pick up my Rx, I learned my insurance had not been applied. Now I had to go wait in another line. After waiting further for the young pharmacist (her picture was on the wall, so I'm assuming) to apply my insurance to both meds, she finally turned to me and said flatly, "Your Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance isn't contracted with us." I'm like, you're kidding?! It's a group HMO plan, not some ACA plan. And she confirmed, "No." Incredulous, I just turned to leave, thinking I would have to go somewhere else, make sure they take my insurance, transfer my prescriptions... then wait, even longer! Well, I was miserable (that's why I was here in the first place) and shouldn't have turned to leave. Because when I walked back to the back pharmacy counter and told her, "Why don't you just put them back on the GoodRX coupon and let me pay for them?" She had already returned my prescriptions. It would now take yet another 20-25 minutes before I could get out of this hell with my meds. Now look, it would have been great if I had been feeling at least 50% and had the presence of mind to suggest that in the first place. But she knew she had options and should have made the suggestion up front. Also, her insinuation that it was BCBS Texas's fault that CVS refused to contract for my HMO plan was disingenuous at best and deceptive at worst. I saw the pharmacy staff hustling back there; they are working hard. But that's no excuse for poor, deceptive service. And CVS choosing to not take a main line group plan from BCBS Texas, well that's just about CVS dipping further into our wallets. I'll never be back to this store! read more

The female pharmacist working today 2/1/26 was the rudest human! I walked into cvs at 1:25pm grabbed a couple other medicines off the shelf that I needed and got in line at 1:30 to pick up a prescription they had just texted me was ready at 1:18. She glared at me very rudely and said "We're closed from 1:30-2:00". I begged her to let me pick up the medicine, explaining that we live 45 minutes away and they had just said it was ready... it would be super quick. And she just looked at me and said "No, we need to go to lunch and close every day at this time." She went on to say that she was hungry and that her staff was hungry and they needed to eat. In the amount of time she argued with me, someone could have grabbed by bag of medicine. And honestly, while the customer service part of me would have helped me real quick (no one else was in there at all)... I understand they had to have their break. I probably would have hung around and waited had she just been friendly or kind in the slightest... but she wasn't. Thus... ALL my pharmacy needs will be transferred to Walgreens. So disappointed in this world and people like this lady. read more

Worst customer service I have ever witnessed. My wife and I got in line in the drive-through at 5:50 PM, we rolled up to the window at 6:01 PM, just find the metal security screen had been pulled down, so I waited and nobody even acknowledged us sitting there. So we pulled around front, my wife went inside, got in line , she was the second person in line, they finished with the gentleman in front of her, and then the pharmacist told my wife they close at six come back tomorrow. I will be changing my pharmacy tomorrow never to return to this horrible customer service. This specific CVS is not very good at all. It appears chaotic at times and is often out of Rx, but that's not why I am giving CVS a bad review. CVS pharmacy's new phone system is absolutely horrible!!! Let me be clear, it is NOT the pharmacy's fault! They are stuck with it too! It is a terrible decision by Corporate CVS!!! Of course, because they don't have to deal with the ramifications! They stick it on the pharmacist to deal with agitated customers. You cannot speak with a live pharmacist any longer. You can only refill your Rx. But when there is a problem with that refill, you cannot speak with a live person about it! They phone tree says to leave a message and the pharmacist will call you back within and hour or two. Well, it has been two days and no one has called! I will have to look into transferring my meds to a pharmacy that actually wants to speak with its clients, not dodge their calls when it is urgent. read more

This is a great location. Unfortunately, access to this place is crappy. This is a clean CVS and has lots of selections. It's not like a grocery store. They offer rows of makeup. Another row for medications, such as cold remedy's, body aches, tooth pastes, and feminine needs. We stopped by here for a candy fill-up. They have multiple rows of candy. The candy is HUGELY over priced. Example, gummy bears were 3.99$ a bag. In any other store they are a buck a bag. Omg. This is a huge mark-up. I'll use this place in a pinch or maybe more. They are not a 24 hour pharmacy. But I see they stay busy back there. Go a mile up the road and you'll find better prices at other stores! This CVS pharmacy location is awful. I showed up at 7:47 in the drive thru line with 2 cars ahead of me. I knew they closed at 8 o'clock but I had my four-year-old in the car so I just waited in the line it was 804 and as soon as I got to the line they put the gates down and closed. I was there for a stat order for my husband which is on a very strong medication that if he doesn't take he gets withdrawls. This is not his just fault he was hospitalized for six months. I go inside and I said this is a stat my husband needs his medication tonight or he's going to have withdraws. They said oh I'm sorry we already cashed out. I said we don't get charged for this, insurance pays for it and they're like oh sorry you can go to the 24 hour pharmacy at a different location. Well the way that the prescription was written out, we aren't allowed to go to a different location. What bothers me the most is they couldn't stay open until 8:05pm just to help someone. I work in healthcare I've been in healthcare for over 10 years I always go the extra mile to make people feel good. What is this world coming to. I work tomorrow I'm unable to pick up his prescription he's going to have withdraws it's just so unfair and the way we were treated. It's not right. My husband had Covid pneumonia and was on Delotid for 6 months. This is the medicine you take to get off the Delotid. And if you quit cold Turkey you could die. I wish I could rate this place lower! I've been coming here for a few years... due to proximity to my house. Every time I come here I am waiting at least 30-45 minutes to pick to a prescription. I waited over an hour on the phone trying to find out if the pharmacy had received or filled my prescription. After an hour, the line was disconnected. Some at least should answer the phone and say how long the wait might be! Also the front entrance is alway trashed out and the outside trash cans are usually overflowing. If I could give zero stars I would. This isn't even about the pharmacy which has actually improved. I've had photos printed at this CVS for years. I ordered 11x14 glossy prints. They printed them on matte repositionable posters. I went back and reprinted them thinking they made a mistake. Same problem. The manager then very condescendingly tells me they don't offer glossy. I showed him the order which specifically says glossy on it. He says since they remodeled they got new machines and they don't have that paper anymore. Laughable. I'm sure he doesn't care but I'll be finding a new place to print photos. Now I'm out $24 on prints for nothing. He very 'kindly' told me I could go ahead and keep the extras without paying (which wasn't even an option- no way was I paying for them- I trashed them on the way out). First read the reviews Yelp is not showing under Reviews not recommended. They show the issues described below, and by other Yelpers, as being pervasive at this CVS. This location continues to epitomize the general lack of patient care, knowledge, and concern for it's customers at the Argyle CVS. If you have absolutely any other choice in pharmacy, take it. They simply do not care. When out of a prescription I cannot stop taking suddenly at the risk of seizures, they didn't make any efforts to let me, the patient, know it would take MORE THAN A WEEK to order the drug. After days, I had to call and ask the status and then was told they don't can't order "narcotic drugs" more than once a week. Since narcotics are defined in the dictionary as illegal drugs, and I have a background in law enforcement, I asked about this definition being applied to a Class 2 controlled substance. The tech immediately became more judgmental and said they "have to be careful with narcotics" (with the pharm tech insinuating drug seeking behavior) and they can't order this more rapidly and can't transfer the script to another CVS. She also told me I would need to call other CVS stores to verify they had stock before having my physician transmit another e-script. I will never step foot in this pharmacy again. I have to travel for work weekly and this kind of backwards, paranoid, judgmental and inexperienced behavior and attitude has not been limited to this one experience. Many friends and neighbors in Argyle have stated there is a general problem with how this store is managed as well as the attitudes of the pharmacy staff. I come here almost every night for a drink or if I need other supplies. They have a great variety of items and the staff is very friendly.

I had a friend who tried to get delivery from the pharmacy. They said you could only do it through their app. The app would not work. She was on the phone for over an hour with their tech-support and they could not get it to work either. They refused to transfer it to a Walgreens which was closer. I drove an hour to come pick it up for her since she is in coronavirus quarantine. I arrived at 8:01 and they refused to help me. I realize it was one minute after, but the window was still open. I told the clerk i drove an hour and she said I could come pick it up tomorrow. Very disappointed!! I will never do business with CVS!!!!! read more

Staff is not friendly. Specifically a woman named Jeanette. She went out of her way to visit with a friend when people were waiting in line. When I she finally came to the register she asked me to move my items as close as possible to her on the counter (what?) the items were in the center of the counter to begin with. I pay for the Cvs monthly service that gives 20% of purchases, and she wanted me insert my credit card before allowing me to enter my phone number. I have been a customer here since the first week they opened - but no more - the waits inside are unreasonable and forget using the drive through - the Pharmacy is supposed to open at 10 AM and I was there at 10 AM the one person in line ahead of me left after waiting until 10:10 with no service - I waited until 10:30 Am and was never served - no courtesy sign like we can't serve you at the drive through right now or anything- I went in and the6 said they would get the store manager for mr - I was assured several times she would be right there, but she after many more minutes of waiting - I left - I will be moving my prescriptions to another pharmacy this week. When CVS opened in Argyle it was wonderful. The pharmacy staff went above and beyond. In the last few months, the service has been less than acceptable. My husband tried for 2 months to get a rx filled. Finally we went inside after numerous calls to the pharmacy and to the doctors office to contact the pharmacy. We asked to see the pharmacist and actually needed to walk him thru the rx and what we needed after he said we could just buy it off the shelf. Then why do we pay for drug coverage? Also, lines always very long at drive thru and phone can ring continuously for very long periods of time. What a disappointment! read more

I'm so done with the idiots that run the pharmacy at this location. My son takes a schedule 2 drug and one they never have it in stock and I usually end up in Denton and then they screwed up a pick up date in their system and even after I provided proof they were wrong (I brought them the old bottle with the pick up date clearly printed on the label) they still refused my son his meds and I had to have his doctor resend a prescription costing me extra money. Its a pain to have to be told I can't have my sons meds when they are holding them in their hands. Why did you send me a text and fill the prescription obviously in your file if you are only going to tell me I can't have it?! I am now currently in the process of moving all my family's medication to a local pharmacy to better care for him and the rest of my family.
