I have to agree with all the negative reviews. I've never done business with someone who took 95% of my money and only completed less than half of the job. We started in Dec. 2016 and they were very efficient at first to hit the metrics where they got paid. Once they had 95% of the money, they were extremely slow and had every excuse you could think of. There would be weeks with no workers on-site. We hired a lawyer and tried to get them to finish, but they just had more excuses. The owner finally asked me in June to pay him another $21,000 to finish the job. That was the last straw and we hired another pool company to finish our pool in July 2017 at our expense. So, not only do they have $31,000 of our money for services not rendered, we had to pay an additional $20,000+ to complete the pool so my kids could get some use out of it for this summer. Buyer beware of this scam artist. This is his MO. Look at all the negative comments. I hope no one ever builds a pool with him again. This is a small town and we will be letting all our friends and neighbors that this company is a fraud and shouldn't be allowed to stay in business. read more

Cutting Edge Pool and Patio is top notch! I do not agree with any of the negative comments. No idea how so many people got a bad idea about them. Glenn and Casey are the consummate pros. They came in, met with our entire family, and even mixed a custom colored plaster that they named after our daughter. Just awesome guys!!! read more

Top notch at not doing what they say! Cutting edge was contracted to build my pool in 2016 after 8 months to build with numerous delays, it was finally completed but not due to Cutting Edge. We had to find a plaster company to finish the pool and pay an additional $2800.00 over the contract amount as Cutting Edge had already been paid in full. Mr. Glenn Miller agreed that if we did pay the $2800.00 to get the pool finished he was pay us back within 2 weeks. It has now been months with no response back from Mr. Miller after calls, text and letter from our attorney. Don't use Glenn Miller, the subs that did the work are still coming to my door to see if we know how to get a hold of him as he has NOT paid them either. Stay as far away from Cutting Edge Pool & Patio and Glenn Miller, it will NOT be a good experience. read more

Yeah, Andy and David's reviews are correct. I wanted to maintain some kind of relationship but they just don't do their customers right and I've heard too many people now complain too. Tried to use a local company instead of volume builder. I had less stress with my crappy homebuilder and that was done in less time! They seemed nice, great plans and then just screwed it up with thier bad communication, no supervision or quality control on work. Then not fixing defective, flawed work that they admitted should be corrected. It took 1 YEAR to do our pool, fence and patio. Not a cheap job, but never felt like a priority. Fence down about 6 months.. no work or communication for 3 months in the middle of the build. That stresses people out when they have paid alot of money and have no equipment and just a concrete hole in the ground. We probably would have been left hanging at that point if we hadnt started harassing them. Just what you want to do when you've paid money already. Our problems weren't that bad at the end (after many corrections), easily remedied and I would have overlooked the ridiculous amount of time it took. But they just want the next job's check, so you get abandoned after the 1st couple of big checks. Most frustrating, depressing, aggravating time when it should have been fun and exciting.. esp. after waiting 15 years to be able to do our backyard. Even though the defects left at the end were admitted by them as needing to be fixed, they said to submit it to warranty. What a black hole that is. I submitted exactly what they told me needed to be fixed 2 years ago. Asked 6 months later if they got the email. Casey said yes and noone ever responded after that. So besides taking forever, not checking any work and therefore having to be be your own GC, redoing work multiple times and still have issues, they will eventually tire of your project, won't fix anything else and disappear with what they can get from you. I have a leaky patio arbor that will rot out soon, a leaking grotto, a slide that has a bend that hurts people, no clean up, mortar slopped around the concrete and defective mastic that has holes and was cracking from the day it was done and was terrible in their opinion but hey submit it to "warranty" instead of fixing it since we both agreed there was no more money due. At least the equipment works but for what I paid, everything else should have been fixed. Yeah there is no customer service or warranty service either, so noone should bother with a crappy company like this. I'm stuck trying to fix their errors at my expense that I already paid them to do right. There's actual real pool builders out there that care about customers, their reputation and about doing good work. Word gets around and thats why some companies don't make it. Ask my homebuilder about that.. oh wait.. he's no longer in business, yeah that word got around too. UPDATE: APPEAR TO BE CHANGING NAME TO JD OUTDOOR LIVING NOW..BEWARE!! Well, paid them a extremely significant amount of money, they did a little work and have vanished. It's literally been a month and counting. We take bets now on if we think they will ever come back. We had a very great experience with Cutting Edge Pool and Patio. Glenn and Casey both assisted with selections, contracts were done correctly, their work was honest, and their subs worked hard and were respectful to our property. Pool job started when we were told it would. With a few rain days of delay, we were back on track and our job was completed on time. We love our new pool and WILL DEFINITELY use this company again! read more

Matt J, I wish you luck after the job is complete and they have all their money. Please note the comments from others about the warranty issues. I am now going to another company to try to get my pump fixed, I sent two warranty emails with no response. After texting Glenn, he did not recognize my number after all it has been 2 1/2 years since we completed our job and we paid over $80,000 for the job so I am sure he erased our number, he assured me he would take care of it "Monday", that was two weeks ago. 8 months ago we sent a warranty email for leak in hot tub and water fall, Glenn came out and verified the leaks and we are still waiting for someone on that one. We had issues with the build where I had to intervene with the City to get the pool approval but like the other reviewer, I got past all those issues. I wish Glenn and Casey were as interested in taking care of their clients after the sale, they were good at the beginning but I could never recommend them to anyone I know. read more

Wanted to shout out to Glenn Miller and his crew at Cutting Edge Pool & Patio. We hired them to help my elderly parents over a year ago resurface their 22 year old gunite pool. The initial job went great and my parents absolutely adored them. All ended well on the front end. But a year or so later the plaster started turning gray evidently due to a materials issue that the plaster company wouldn't provide a warranty for. So NO QUESTIONS ASKED Cutting Edge took it upon themselves to completely re-plaster the pool for my parents again at THEIR expense, not my parents. It's important to note here that in this day and age it is NOT uncommon for the "aged" amongst us to be completely taken advantage of by contractors. Please also note that my parents live in an area of town that is perceived to be "affluent" by many, which in my opinion makes them even more of a target for contractors or salespeople lacking integrity. I cannot thank Glenn and Casey enough and if either my mother or father were "technologically savvy" at this point it would have been one of them writing this review, not me. My mother asked me to post this up for them because she was so impressed by the level of service they provided that went far above and beyond what they expected!! read more
