I edited this post from bad to good and here's why. From the time I purchased my 2013 Ford Explorer at 8k miles. I had called after my first car wash to inform there service department of what I found which was rust spots all over. They told me to bring it in when I'm ready so I did. At 13k miles I brought it in. First they told me it'll be covered under the 36k mile warranty, then they told me it's not covered because it falls under the 12k mile warranty. Interesting part is I had called in at 8k. I was really upset because I felt like they didn't care about my family car. A very expensive bill to fix it too. Then Cutter Fords General Manager Pat replied to my original post. A very educated person who is knowledgable with Fords system. Educated me on how the rust spots is a Fall Out rust spot. Meaning, tiny metal objects in the air has fallen onto my car, sat there long enough to start rusting. Then he came up with a solution. A detailer that specializes in getting the objects out and making the paint look like new. This service for fall out rust spots falls under the 12k mile warranty. It's a one time complimentary service so it's your responsibility to keep the fall out metal objects off after. I recommend getting it detailed with the clay bar every 6 months to keep your car looking new. I give the G.M. Pat a 5 star and the service department a 2 star. There service department needs to learn how important it is for a customer to make a appointment ASAP to claim warranty and consult with this excellent G.M. before a decision is made. It would've saved a headache from posting on here. read more

Been trying to call them since 7am when they opened. No one ever answered the phone until 9:31am. How sad is that. I have the phone records!!! told them car is brand new that we bought on island and the battery is bad, keeps dying and going dow to 5v, have to jump it every day battery is dying at 1V every 1.5 hours. I know Im an electrician and I check it with my multimeter. . they are insistent on not giving me an appt today. saying it is not there fault. Really its your CAR a Ford!!! stop selling pieces of crap batteries and when it brakes, fix it in a timely manner as to not having us wait days to have a battery replaced UNDER YOUR FORD Motor-craft WARRANTY!!! it most likely dead cell(s) in the battery, because your batteries suck... Scammers I tell you. There is only two outstanding service advisor in the whole place. Liz F. and Veronica. everyone else is garbage including the management. just wait and you'll see the managers response to this yelp post. It is cut and paste the exact same response he gives everyone else! TOOL!!!!! Update: they fixed the battery, after I told them this was the issue, and I showed up out of the blue as a repeat customer.... I am electrician, I know how to use a multimeter and test the electrical system. I think they just wasted time with my car to waste time. I had to wait over 4 hours for them to fix, it. they say monday's are their busy days. Well then, as a manager myself, you should have the appropriate number of staff to address the concerns with he Fords on this island and you wont get crappy reviews. If I did my job as poor as the management here, soldiers, sailors and airmen would not be coming home because of my inadequacies. Make it right management, hire more people or pay them better... in time poor customer service will catch up with you and you will falter. read more

Excellent service from the time I called until the time I drove my new car off the lot 4 hours later! On Saturday, 5/30/15, I was interested in a car, completed a trade in estimate online around 9am and received a call back within 5 minutes from a female at the dealership. She asked if she could have a manager speak to me and within less than a minute later, I was speaking to "G". He was very professional and invited me to come down and take a look at the vehicle, and would have a sales associate call me by 11am as he was on his way to the dealership and didn't even start working yet - talk about customer service! At 11:05am, I received a call from Jerry who introduced himself and asked if I had any questions. I didn't have any at the moment, and told him my wife and I would be there by 12pm. We arrived and asked for Jerry who greeted us and showed us the car, explaining the features and answering any questions that we had. Jerry was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and seemed genuinely interested about the questions I was asking him. He explained things well and was very patient. I appreciated that he wasn't pushy, aggressive, or trying to rush the sale. After taking the car for a test drive and being thoroughly impressed with the vehicle, we proceeded to do the financing. The negotiation went very smoothly and Jerry's manager was very good with trying to make the financing fit into my budget; again without being pushy or aggressive. He offered suggestions as to what he could do and let us decide - very professional! For the final paperwork we met with Ernie the Finance Manager, and once again received excellent service with Ernie going out of his way to find any additional discounts that he could apply to reduce the final price. Brought in my car on 08/22 Tuesday was told it would get done the next day around 3. Called few times could not get a hold of KELLY who helped us in the beginning. Then got a call around 4 that it won't be done again for another day. UPDATES WOULD BE NICE! So I can make proper arrangements for transportation. So it's now the 24th Thursday. Called and called and I could not reach KELLY. Left mult messages and again didn't get a call til the end of the day. She then promised that it would be 100% done on the next following day august 25 friday after lunch. Okay Friday comes and no call, it's already 3pm so by 330 still no call I of course called them again. AGAIN, she's no where to be found and can't get her on the phone. I leave another message again. 430 came, no call. I called back again and she's still not available. So I start getting mad and so they put me on hold. Then whoever I spoke to on the phone claims she's very busy but KELLY said to just come down by 5pm. We get there finally, im happy my car is fixed. The mechanics did a great job. No complaints with that so I let it all go with the lack of communication. I go straight home. Parked in my garage, come to find out the grill is missing. FML. Called them Saturday but it was too late and they were closed. Sunday was closed. Finally Monday morning 8am I called the service center. 8am and I couldn't get KELLY on the phone! So I leave her a vm that I was missing the grill on my car. Didn't get a call back from her til 6:09pm Monday August 28. She said she's gonna have to talk to her employee who worked on the car the next morning. But she reassured me and said she sent me a picture of the car with the grill to my email (which I never got). Yes, she said my car had the grill when I brought it in. So okay the next day Tuesday aug 29, no call. August 30 no call. Aug 31 no call. So I finally called them back again! Yup, you got it right. I couldn't get a hold of her again. She didn't call me back until noon. All she said was that her worker called in sick yesterday that's why she couldn't call me. Well I was told she would call me on Tuesday but it's already Thursday. She wouldn't have called me today unless I called. Well I'm pissed cause the communication between service department at ford and with their customers is shi* basically she said her worker claimed the grill was on there so it must have fallen off when I took it home. Okay I literally live down the road. 1 min away. I would've felt and heard or maybe ran it over if it did fall off. And then she says maybe where ever you went or parked. I went straight home like I said 1 min away from cutter ford. And parked safely in my gated garage. No grill found in my garage. So she said idk what to tell you I can't do anything. Well obviously it was on when we brought it there. She was trying to blame me that something must have happened to it when I took the car. Pissed off, I just hung up. No sense of arguing with them if they claim it's not there and they can't find it. She calls back, oh did we get cut off? I straight up said no I hung up on you. And hung up again. Never coming back here. Not even to patch a tire or oil change. Service is soooooo bad. If I could give negative stars, I would for the bad service. read more

Do NOT ever go to Cutter Ford in Aiea. If you can avoid it - please avoid it. I have had warranty work there and it has always been an issue with them. I have had to drive my car in very unsafe conditions because of them. I have had my car die at work due to diagnostic services they conducted by attaching a machine to the car while I drove it (supposedly to find out an issue) and was then told when I was stuck to tow it at my expense to their dealership. Once there they told me they repaired the vehicle but as soon as I started the car (luckily it was still at the service department) the engine completely seized up before I could drive off. They have the service team drive your vehicle instead of the actual mechanics and have driven my car personal car to their homes overnight (for what? Not sure). I have been called to ask if I had another key to my vehicle because they lost my car key while it was supposed to be at there service department and had to wait for a new key to be ordered causing me to use my spare key until the new key arrived. Upon checking my oil - I found that they never reinstalled my air intake box and did not tighten my stock cold air intake tube or filter. I had been driving around like that for weeks. Had I not checked my oil it would still be. Recently my vehicle had been serviced for rust/paint perforation on the hood. The service team advised this would take just four days to replace and repaint as well as re-stripe. 3weeks later I was told to come pick up my car that still did not have the stripes nor did it have the original fender badges anymore. They were removed and reordered but I was told I had to turn in my rental car and drive my car incomplete as it stood until they received the parts to complete the work (mind you this was supposed to only take 4days). Driving the incomplete car home I noticed my passengers side turn signal was blinking abnormally compared to my drivers side signal - so I take a look and sure enough - they didn't reconnect my signal light when they removed the nose of the car for painting. I advised them of this issue to receive the response of if it's a warranty item we will repair it... WTH??? It worked before you broke it!!! During all of this process of painting services and incomplete car care - they issued me a car rental until the day I picked up the incomplete car. Now to repair the rest of the car they want me to come out of pocket to pay for my own rental car so they can finish they work they started. There way around supplying a rental to me is by claiming it as a new repair. However it was just incomplete work on their part to begin with - DO NOT GO HERE! I know the island resources are limited - but if you can avoid this place - AVOID IT! Half a star for friendly customer service that is just awful. read more

Ok, so included with our purchase was a detail job. we wanted the car so badly we decided to schedule at a later date. over half a year later and we get it set up to take in, its done on time and shuttle service was offered if I needed. Since we bought the car Dom has checked in monthly to make sure everything is OK and we still love the car. I would like to thank both Rumel Mejia and Kai Lai for their amazing customer service yesterday! I had gone in to purchase a license plate bracket (needed for my car's front plate) and found that I had to buy the screws separately (quite expensive for screws, by the way!). I bought everything I needed, then went out to my car to make sure it would fit before leaving. Rumel and Kai ran out to help me (without me asking) and offered to attach my license plate and even went so far as to get some screws for me! (I returned the ones I had just bought!) I took my 2015 F250 Powerstroke diesel pickup to Cutter Ford Commercial Truck Service for a 5k service. The shop is located in a building behind the main automotive sales and service facility (same building as EZ Corners.) I got there at 7am. It was still dark and it seemed like the place was deserted. The shop looked pretty grungy, but I sort of expected that in a diesel truck shop. It was definitely not a tidy NASCAR garage! I saw a worker eating breakfast in the shop, and he told me where the office was located. Finally I'm relieved to see a regular service department counter and friendly staff. Micah Waimau the service advisor was very friendly and helpful. He said the workers start at 8am and he should have my truck ready around 9am. He offered me shuttle service but I used my senior bus pass to go home. He called me at 8:50 to get my truck, again offering shuttle service. Great service! 15 quarts of semi-synthetic 15w-40 oil (13 quarts spec capacity). filter, rotate tires, top off fluids, quality care check (computer software updated) etc etc etc., next service reminder sticker on windshield - all for $99.95. Btw I notice on my customer copy of the service invoice that the labor rate is $140.00. Micah said their customers receive the email service special notices every 6 months. HORRIBLE customer service!!! Their so called "finance department" are a bunch of uneducated morons! We bought a brand new vehicle, traded in two vehicles gave them nearly $10,000 cash!!! And after 15 days!!!! They still do not have our trade ins paid off!!! We have had to make a payment on one of the vehicles already because it's still in our name!! And all they can say is oh it's submitted.... yea as of the 13th when we purchased and traded the 1st! I do not recommend them nor will I EVER do business with them ever again!! Oh and did I mention they have done NOTHING to try and make any of this right or better.. worthless ! And when I tried to call tonight and speak to a finance manager he cut me off repeatedly, told me constantly I was wrong and it was too late to do anything, then when I gave him the facts all he could do was stutter and say I can call back tomorrow and talk to the guy who actually did my loan so I asked for a manager over him and my guy it took him FOREVER to finally give me a name! And I don't even know if I did get an actual name of someone in charge to call tomorrow I am beyond frustrated.... This was my first time getting a car, and Ben was the same age as me and he understood how overwhelming everything was for me, so he helped me throughout everything. I was looking for the Ford Fiesta 2017 model. They only had the 2016 at the time, but Ben went on his computer to help search for on for me. He found one at the aiea dealership for a decent price. But he further helped me out and was able to lower the price for me on the 2016 model. I really like the color and how smooth it ran. I have a 6 yr old electric IMIEV at Cutter Mitsubishi with a dead battery charger. The car has been there for 6 months and counting! Mitsubishi has dropped the ball on parts support and training. I went to this dealership yesterday just to look around, I'm pre approved through my bank for 75,000 so they are trying to sell me a 51,000 car for 55,0000 before tax title and license, wow what a bunch of crooks! The salesman kept getting calls from his boss and getting up to leave to have a conversation not in front of me, and then would come back with some crazy high price ! As if I cant read for my self what the price is, these guys are crooks down to the bone, do not go here Honolulu ford is pretty straight fwd, go there instead! These guys should be out of business, an update to my review is this, like I said above they were trying to sell me a year2016 cost $51,000$) f250 super duty for a price of 55,000 , but they didn't stop there, they gave me one of there promise payment agreement paper!!! "It's a sales technique" so the payment they were trying to do was $808.00 for a $51,000 car, so a 2016 f250 XL superduty for $808 a month..... haha these guys must deal with some idiots , so I went to windward ford, I got a 2017 F350 lariat edition, crewcab, 4x4 decked out awesome truck for $64,600 out the door, my payments are 795. So there you go cutter ford! I recently purchased TWO vehicles from Cutter. It was a great experience until one of my vehicles got a screw in the tire. I tried to get a replacement but there was none available. We had it towed to Cutter and they assessed the tire. We were informed that they did NOT have a tire on hand (understandable considering we are on an island) and they told us it would be 3-4 weeks. So we said ok. We were offered our vehicle back but declined to take it because why would I endanger my family by driving with this tiny spare tire that could possibly cause more damage. So knowing that i am now down to one vehicle I have asked for a possible loaner to help. I do have another vehicle but considering both myself and husband need both our vehicles it has been rough. We asked for a loaner vehicle but was told "you didn't purchase the tire package" and that was it, not even "let me find out if we can help you out" or something. But nothing. Just basically we are SOL. I feel that they could've done better. I been trying to call their service manager but no luck!!! This is horrible customer service! Thanks for the crap Cutter!!!! Literally just picked my car up for a coolant repair on Friday (1 week after getting my coolant swap and my thermometer blew up) now my AC is completely out....every fucking time I take my car in for repairs I bring it back a week later with a new issue related to the first one....im sick and tired of bring my car in week after week...and at this point I demand to be moved out of my car and loan and put in a new one, because I've spent more money paying for repairs than I have for the last year in car notes. Car has been in services 4 times in the last 2 weeks! I have a newborn son as of Sept 27th and he had to ride in a car with no AC all the way from tripler to kapolei.....so tempted to get a lawyer. Dino was a really big help. I had to get a lot of maintenance done on my 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport for hitting 30k miles and they got it done in two days without compilations. They even provided a free shuttle service to take me home and to pick me up while my car was getting worked on. Work done: They flushed the engine oil, performed an oil and oil filter change, replaced the engine coolant, flushed the transmission oil, refilled the transmission oil, replaced engine air filter and cabin air filter, rotated and balanced my tires, replaced my front rotors and break pads, filled my tire pressure. They checked my a/c for leaks because it was blowing warm on the passenger side and didn't find any so they evacuated the system and refilled it. They also performed 2 safety recalls: Wind shield wiper length, and replaced the rear calipers as well as the break fluid. read more

I have bought one car from Cutter Ford and am getting ready to purchase a second new one from them. I also have all my service, including a non-Ford vehicle, done by their service department. All my experiences have been 100 percent satisfactory. My most recent experience was having my 11 year old SUV headlight covers restored using a new product available at Cutter Ford Service. All my previous attempts using commercially available restoration kits never removed all the film. The headlamps now look brand new after Cutter service worked on them.
