Gross! Salon is a disaster, everything is dirty and falling apart and décor is super 80's! I got a regular ole manicure and it was horrible. She had me sit at a table, got the warm water ready to soak my nails, and then went to wax someone. By the time she came back the water was cold but she used it anyway. My nails were filed crooked and she did a horrible job painting them - she didn't paint the sides, just basically the centers! Then the top coat looked cloudy in the bottle because it was so old and used too many times, but I thought it may be ok after she put in on - NOT the case! My nails were dull, not shiny at all and had bubbles. Worst manicure ever! My boyfriend could have done a better job! read more

I never write reviews, but this nail salon was such a waste of money! I have a regular salon, but I needed my nails done and my regular spot isn't opened on a Sunday. All the nail technicians were very friendly, however my gel manicure didn't even last a week! The gel manicures at my regular nail salon last up to three weeks. Do not waste your money if you're looking for a high, quality manicure. This certainly is not the place. If you want cheap, that will last a few days, come here. read more

I live in OC so this is not my usual salon, but I was in need of a pedi while I was in town so I searched Yelp. I was looking for super clean, above everything else, having had bad experiences in the past! (yuk) This place had some good reviews so I gave it a try. I was so happy with the service and outcome! My toes looks GREAT, and Nancy (the owner) who did my pedicure could not have been sweeter, quicker or better at her job. She used a fresh liner in my foot tub,and tools were sterilized so I felt really good about the cleanliness. On top of that I couldn't believe how inexpensive the place was. My pedi was like 15$ plus a 5$ charge for callous removal. Such a good deal! I will definitely go back whenever I am in town. :) read more

I went to Cutee Nails and it was a pleasant environment. Had a pleasant pedicure, but went to pay and was shocked to be told that I could use my credit card (their web site said that they welcomed them) provided that I paid the $1 charge to use it. I said that I would pay it but that I would never come back. So my $35 pedicure was $36. I do not even think that it is legal to charge a surcharge to use a credit card. Won't go back. Tell me upfront cash only and be done with it. read more

Not only is their customer service very poor but when i gave them my card to charge me i went to the bathroom to wash my hands and when i came out they had charged my card but "misplaced it" and couldn't give it back. They supposedly looked for it but i had to then cancel and replace my card. There are plenty of better places to go. read more

Nice staff, but worst mani pedi of my life. My feet are SO cut up with gauges and my polish is popping off two days after they already redid my nails. I'm in Encinitas with my husband for an event in Del Mar and really needed a mani/pedi. I found Cutee Nails on the internet and thought I'd give them a try. I have had better experiences, but the services were what I expected for the price. The shop was clean and the tec:hs who worked on my nails were friendly. I really like the fact that they weren't talking to each other in Vietnamese. I didn't like the plastic bags for the foot bath, but at least I didn't worry about the basin being clean. The massage wasn't much of a massage, but I didn't expect much. In short, my nails look good and I'm happy with the service for the price. read more

Worst pedicure ever! I thought I'd try a new place and this one is close to home and got some good reviews. My technician never spoke to me; let the water fill the tub to the point of overflowing - I had to call out to her to come turn off the water. She was absorbed watching the TV while she worked on my feet. And once she was done, instead of giving me time to let the polish dry, she said I could leave (implying she needed the chair) and my nails were messed up within an hour of leaving - I had to take the polish off altogether because it never set at all. I don't plan to go back. It was unfriendly, and unprofessional. Very disappointing. read more

My aunt recommended this salon for waxing and nails so I decided to make an appointment and they were able to fit me in their schedule in the afternoon. Once I arrived I was greeted by Jenny and she took me to a private room and waxed my brows! For only $11 my brows looked so clean and nice! I reviewed this shop years ago with 5 stars. This review has no praise. Went in a few weeks ago for a full set. My nails were horrible. It was a new set, but were so far from my bed they looked like a week or two grown out already. Misshaped, uneven, horrible polish job. Not to mention being cut not once but THREE times due to uncaring filing and buffing. No apology, just wipes the blood away like it never happened. I have been to this shop multiple times over the years and have left dissatisfied more than satisfied. Basically make your appointment with Bonnie (who is amazing), or don't bother going. Got my nails done yesterday and they were able to greet and help me right away. Loved the new spa chairs! The salon looked very clean as well. The ladies who did my mani and pedi were jenny and jessica and they were soo sweet and I got so lost in the conversation before I knew it they were done! go to jess for that bomb pedi massage she's the best. Beware of this salon!!!!! If someone other then the owner does your nails 4 out of 5 times they will be horrible!!!! When you tell them what you see wrong or that the nails aren't well done they will say it's either your finger that's crooked or that it's somehow your fault! They will not fix them for you! $25 I could have saved and went elsewhere! Also they speak to one and other in their language and make you feel as if they're speaking bad about you! I went in to get my gel removed and another manicure. I wanted to support them because of the possibility of a loss of business due to construction going on. She took the gel of by ripping it off and destroyed my nails. I should have done it myself. She was pretty rude too. I was looking for a new nail salon in my area. My first visit was ok, my nails were decent so I thought I would try them again. 1) I made an appointment a week ahead, when I arrived, I was informed that the person that I made the appointment with was not coming in. Someone else offered to do my nails, and this person told me that it is not good, and I shouldn't, use polish on gel fills, which I have been getting for many years, then she proceeded to apply acrylic without asking me. 2) I tried, one more time and made an appointment, a week ahead, with the first lady that had done my nails. When I arrive, once again, she was not coming in. Another lady offered to do my nails, she was very nice, and nails were decent. 3) I made my next appointment with her, days ahead, and when I showed up, I was told she was going to be an hour late, someone else, offered to do my nails. 4) Every person charged me a different amount, but it was only about a dollar difference. This last visit, they were going to charge me $5.00 more and said that's what they are charging new customers. I will never go back and would not recommend this place, very disorganized. I do not want to mention the names of the manicurists, doesn't really make a difference, it's just overall bad service, and every fill chipped the first week. read more

I've been to this salon a fair amount of times before and the service has been decent, but this time was just stupid. I made an appointment, came in about 5 minutes late but i still had to wait to get my nails done because the two other ladies were not finished yet. Then she came to do my nails. Another girl walked in who also made an appointment and was confused why no one was doing her nails when she had made a set time to come in. The lady who was doing MY nails didn't know what to do in her awkward position that she was put in, so she decides to tell the upset customer, ohh im sorry youll have to wait 15 -20 minutes, and this customer is of course upset cause of the unfairness. The nail lady just decides to inappropriately blame the inconvenience all on me in front of the customer and told her its because i came in too late, which i did arrive 5 minutes late. BUT even though i was late, i STILL came in and had to sit and wait for about 10 minutes. It was inappropriate and extremely rude, NO THANKS. read more

I have been going to Cutee for over 10 years. I work in Mission Valley and used to try places near my office to save time, but I always end up returning to Cutee near where I live. They always make time for me even if it is close to the end of their day. Nancy, the owner will even call me if she thinks its been too long since I have had my nails done, if she going to be away when I am due to come in to discuss an appt. All the people working there are very very nice, always ask about my family, they remember the colors I like and what I usually have done. I never feel pressured-some other places make you feel like you need to get more done than you came for. It like coming home for a family gathering when I go to Cutee. Everyone working there is nice. And I see repeat customers there all the time. I have never had a concern about the hygiene, the skills, the products or the prices at Cutee. I wouldn't go anywhere else and I highly recommend this place to anyone within a 30 mile radius! read more
