As a college student in the city I found it real difficult to find a barbershop that is affordable. After a couple of years I stumbled upon Cut N Edge after a friend recommended it to me. I must say this is the best barbershop in Boston! I've been coming here for 3+ years and the barbers that work here are very personable. They make an effort to get to know you and getting a hair cut has become an exciting part of my day! Hair cuts are reasonably priced at $20 and the barbers are very accommodating to your needs. I heavily recommend you come check it out! If you're new a customer I also recommend getting your hair cut from Kanu. He has been my barber since I started coming here and I trust this man with my life! He makes himself available to cut your hair even if his schedule is jammed with other customers. He is very friendly and has never messed up my hair cut ( I usually stop by a twice a month). Not only that but when the shop was closed for renovations, he personally came to my apartment to cut my hair! One of the best barbers hands down! read more

I moved from South Florida to Boston for Law School, and finding a barber who could keep my cut fresh like the two I had back home was difficult, but then I reviewed Cut n Edge on Yelp, and went in to see for myself. I had no appointment, but I was seen in a timely fashion. It wasn't until my second visit that I found a barber I loved: Freddy. I think all the barbers are great, but Freddy works well with me. The price for a hair cut is $20, which is reasonable if you ask me. Although, the atmosphere is similar to any other barbershop it is also relatively upscale. Additionally, they don't make their clients wait for eternity, and a haircut doesn't take longer than 1 hour. Down south, barbers would talk on the phone, chat with their fellow barbers, and crack jokes, and before you know it an hour would have passed since your barber started cutting your hair. All in all, I highly recommend going here! read more

I came to Boston to visit my daughter and her husband. I came to Cut N Edge since it was close by and received good reviews on Yelp. I was not disappointed. I had Pablo, maybe FabioI think that is right, but he did a very thorough job. From the beard trim, shave, eye brows, ears, and even the top of my nose that is growing wild hairs. My cut was fantastic also. The barber furnishings were very modern barber style chairs with matching sofas for comfortable waiting. I got there right at 9 am and did not have to wait, but during the 30 minute treatment I received 5, more people showed up. Highly recommend this location. There was not a lot of banter going on, but I do know they speak multiple languages so you will be able to be understood. They did not have any hair products to sell, and they did not put any styling products in my hair, but that is ok, I have products to style my hair. read more

I've been considering making a Yelp account for a while and this place is what pushed me to finally make one so I can review it. I went to Willy with a mop on top of my head (just a walk in appt). The place was packed when I got there and I still walked out within an hour with the best haircut I've gotten in years. I've been to about 4 different Boston barber shops since I moved here and this is the first time I can confidently return to one. My lines are even, my fade is smooth & uniform, and the top of my head was not over cut (which always happens to me since my hair is curly and hard to work with). If you're the type of person who needs a real barber to cut your hair and not some average hair dresser, go here. read more

I have been living in Boston since 2007 and as you can imagine have been to plenty of barbers since I got here. I was lucky enough to meet Willy, Boston's Best Barber, 5/6 years ago and he has been my barber ever since. He is such a good barber that over the years Willy has moved to different barber shops and I still remain a loyal customer, regardless of where he goes. I'm glad to say that Willy is now a staple at Cut N Edge which is convenient for me since I work a block away. Willy's masterful skills along with the real nice shop, environment and people at Cut N Edge make every experience a great one! read more

Me and my friend were looking for a place to get a haircut near Northeastern University, where we both attend. This place was the closest on Google Maps, and had great reviews, so we decided to go. I'm now certain I won't need another barber as long as I'm in Boston. The guys who work there are great at what they do - I've had the three best haircuts of my life there - and the atmosphere is great. The prices are cheaper than a lot of other places I've been. If you're in the area and looking for a great time and a fresh cut, this is your best bet. read more

This place is great, being a student in Boston i have been looking for a good barber and i went to Floyds 99 and they did a terrible job, i have been putting off getting a cut for a few months. and when i came into Cut N Edge i didn't know what i wanted but the barber Canoe i think his name was. did an awesome job, he tested out different lengths to see exactly what cut i wanted. i think he changed the length 3xs before i liked it, and it was no problem. left the place very happy. I will definitely be back read more

Willy is my guy! Finding a barber can be the worst, but now that I've got one, I am sticking with him. I went to another barber and they totally messed up my cut. I came to Willy on the verge of tears and he took his time and got me lookin' good again. He always pays careful attention to detail, makes my line-up super crisp with the razor, and his fades always look so smooth. Everyone in the shop is really nice, Great shop, great environment, great people! read more

Great barbershop with great prices. As a high school student, I only get charged $15 which is very hard to come by now, and the haircuts I get never disappoint. I've gotten haircuts from quite a few barbershops, but never have I found one as good and friendly like cut n edge. Nelson cuts my hair, and always keeps me looking fresh. Cut n edge is very convenient right off orange line so I have no problem going. Hands down, my favorite barbershop. read more

At first I was a bit nervous, I haven't always had the best of luck with getting my hair done, I went in not knowing what to expect. The vibe inside was warm and familial; the barbers are a fun bunch of guys full of personality. Keith is the one who did my haircut; it was awesome, it made my mom yell, she loved it so much. I loved it too. I look forward to making this barber shop my new go-to. read more

I've been going to this barbershop since I was a little kid. My barber Alex, does a great job every time and never disappoints. He has many clients, but does not let that lessen the degree of effort he puts into each and every single one of his clients' cuts. I highly recommend Alex, and if you want a great cut you should go see him at Cut'n Edge! You will not be disappointed. read more

Cut N Edge is probably the best barbershop in Boston, hands DOWN! Alex is a dynamic barber who's attention to detail goes beyond the idea of just receiving a haircut and goes into the realm of creating a hands on customer experience. His eye for detail and willingness to accommodate his customers is impeccable. I will be his client for LIFE! A must experience barbershop! read more

Cut N Edge is the best. The place is very clean, and the barbers are very friendly and funny. I've been getting haircuts from Canu for the past 6 years and I've left with a great cut every time. He definitely hooks it up. I've recommended him to others and they have said the same thing. Give the barbershop a shot. Give Canu a shot. You wont be let down; you'll love it. read more

I have been going to Cut N Edge for the past five years and couldn't be happier. I recently moved back to New York and still come back at least once a month to see Canu. You can go wrong with a barber here but Canu goes above and beyond to fit me into his schedule and always leaves me looking fresh. Can't say enough about this place, worth the drive every time. read more

Excellent experience at Cut N edge! Alex, who is very talented, cut my hair and was able to give me the exact style I was looking for. Really nice place with exposed brick, red leather chairs, and Boston sports decor inside! If you're in the South End area, I recommend checking this place out. read more
