We engaged a roofer to assess several rust-through spots occurring on five long panels. Upon…read moreinspection, the roofer immediately attributed the cause of the rust to the solar installer, effectively deflecting responsibility. However, the evidence does not support this conclusion. Our roof consists of two levels, and we observed rust on several spots across five long panels--many of which are not adjacent to the solar installation. Furthermore, the upper level of the roof, which has no solar panels whatsoever, also exhibits couple similar rust spots. These observations strongly suggest that the rust is not caused by the solar installation but rather stems from a material or manufacturing defect. Despite these panels carrying a 50-year life warranty, the roofer was quick to claim that the rust is not covered under the manufacturer's warranty. This is deeply disappointing, particularly given the clear evidence that the damage extends well beyond any area impacted by the solar work. The roofer demonstrated no willingness to help address the issue and offered no solution for the roof leak currently occurring at the lower level. The lack of accountability and absence of any proposed remediation is unacceptable given the scope of the defects observed.

They were our third consultation, and even at this stage, I was very compelled to choose them. Danny was super personable and communicative. Of the three companies, we met with, he spent the longest time on our roof (the first rep we met didn't even step foot on the roof), and took a ton of photos documenting the original condition of our roof for us to see. It was easy coordinating with Danny, Ivan and the foreman on site throughout the entire process. From the detailed proposal to final touch-ups with painting, I could tell how much they cared about doing a thorough and quality job. Not only was the perimeter of our house very clean (cleaner than before they started), they also helped clean up the debris that ended up in our garage because of the exposed ceiling which I truly appreciate. Lastly, I did not know this at first, but my neighbor saw a crew member tighten the hinges on our gate (very old) because they noticed it was uneven when they used it to access the side of the house. I'm glad we chose to support a local business with a great team. I highly recommend if you're looking to get your roof done soon.

They might be fine for new roofs but don't call them for repairs. Danny came out to inspect our…read moreroof and immediately recommended a new roof. He didn't offer an option for repair until I asked and instead went straight into discussing shingle colors and availability. Typical sales scare tactics were used like telling us a leak was from condensation due to the lack of ridge vents. We have gable vents and so does every other house on the block. By his logic, every old house without ridge vents should be leaking water. I've been in my attic, there's no condensation issue. Their price for a new roof seems fair but given our roof is 12-15 years old with two leaks, it's far from needing a full replacement. They also offered no warranty if we went with a repair. He also estimated my roof to be 25 years old when my home inspection and other roofers estimated 10-15 years old.

We also wanted to put solar panels on our roof. There was no way I was going to put solar panels on a 30 year roof that was in its 37th year. Time to replace. Vincent Roofing was referred from Kenny with Crawford Sheet and Metal so I knew this company was going to be a solid choice. Don was very professional from start to finish. I was impressed with his years of experience, the roofing materials he used, and the work crew. Desirrae was also great with coordinating schedules, communicating, and was very responsive if I had a question. The guys were prompt every morning and cleaned up very well. The whole process went smoothly. Highly recommend Vincent Roofing has a great work ethic and it shows in all areas of presentation: Don stopping by to give a quote, presentation the contract, and the ease of paying online. I felt this company is up to date with the latest technology and has chosen carefully the amazing work crew that was on my roof the duration of the job. Our home has a great curb appeal with the new roof and it looks so elegant now. Neighbors were asking Don for a quote as well!

I…read morecalled 3 highly reviewed roofing companies in the Bay Area. 2 came out and gave me quotes, 1 no showed. Out of the 2 that came out, I choose to go forward with Apollo Roofing. I chose them for 2 major reasons. 1) they were going to deal with the scheduling of the removal and réinstallation of our solar panels. And 2) Shahar was so kind, informative, and honest during our consultation. He was through and kept us updated every step of the way. When our project finally started the crew were so respectful and kind! We found way more damage than we expected which resulted in our quote going up. However, due to Shahar being honest at the consultation we knew this was a possibility so it wasn't super shocking. The crew was great at cleaning up at the end of every day, which we appreciate as we have chickens, ducks, a puppy and cat as well as a child who are outside. When the project was done, there were a few concerns we had, we talk to Shahar and he quickly corrected and had the crew fix the items. Our roof is beautiful and will hopefully last many many years to come. I am thankful we went with Apollo Roofing and Happy Shahar was our project manager.

Exceptional customer service and communication from start to finish…read more I requested several quotes to tarp our roof since we're still unsure about the long-term plans for the house. Most companies either declined the job as a standalone project or pushed for a full roof replacement instead. Alex reached out the next day for a bit more information, and shortly after, he sent a detailed quote for tarping the roof, complete with photos of the area he planned to work on. My husband was impressed; we're pretty sure he was the only one who actually climbed up on a ladder to inspect the roof, which our neighbor later confirmed. His team arrived on time, worked efficiently, and did an excellent job. After they finished, Alex sent another set of photos, which I truly appreciated since I wouldn't have been able to see the work from the ground. I highly recommend Hernandez's Roofing to anyone in need of roofing services. Their professionalism, quality of work, and outstanding customer service exceeded my expectations!

We also needed an outbuilding's flattop roof and skylights replaced. We chose Wonderlin Roofing Systems for the following reasons * Extensive expertise * Long history in the Castro Valley area * Excellent references * Willing to work with clients Grover Wonderlin and his office Manager Marianne worked with us throughout the entire process and were always polite, knowledgeable, answering our questions, provided excellent advice. Before starting the tear-off, they covered the pool with the largest tarp I have ever seen. I was impressed with their clean-up, walking around the home twice checking for nails and anything that might have been missed. The crew inspected the exposed roof structure, repairing water damage, and recommended adding a chimney cricket to reduce the potential for water damage in the future. The crew was on site the day the roofing materials were delivered, to setup and ensure the roof was protected in case of rain. I was impressed with the quality of their work and how quickly they completed the job in just a few days. Each day the crew cleaned up, and on the final day thoroughly checked the entire property for nails or anything that might have been missed. Grover's knowledge and advice for the vendor reinstalling the electrical solar panels was invaluable and greatly appreciated. I enthusiastically recommend Wonderlin Roofing Systems Sincerely, Dave Burton

Full credit to Rodrigo and Lincon, who were on top of things throughout the project. First, they patiently explained the full roofing process to me in detail when I was getting estimates. This was not my experience with some of the other roofing companies who felt rushed or were asking me to cut corners. In contrast, ELM gave me several alternatives before we zeroed on to a torchdown roof. Next, Rodrigo and Lincon were very communicative on our group chat and kept me apprised of the progress throughout, including tons of photos. Rodrigo was also very proactive in dealing with the city for permits as well as clarifications etc, which happened several times since our city is one of the stricter ones. During all this, we had a running clock since we were in contract to sell the house, but Rodrigo and company kept things in motion, sometimes working late hours to ensure completion on time, which we did with several days to spare. It was also very nice of them to talk to my buyers to tell them about the new roof in detail. I was also pleasantly surprised with their integrity. For example, the roofing torch is huge and heavy and accidentally did some minor damage to the house. They fixed it without questions in a very timely manner. They also provided us with a courtesy cleanup inside the house to cleanup roofing debris after demolition. So yeah, thanks to Rodrigo, Lincon, and their crew, we have a brand new roof and siding. They are polite, professional, reasonably priced, great at communication, and clean up well after themselves. Would recommend them 100/100.
