But now, even though she's so tough to handle, Noelle still brings her so much great care and sweetness. When we get home, our house is clean, the kitty litter is immaculate and our cat is groomed and happy! Noelle is more than a petsitter, she's a new friend for your little furry loved ones (sorry that's cheezy but it's SO true!!) :)

The owner replied that they do basic recall, leash skills, focus and more, and that they could accept our dogs. We booked them in. On the first day we got an email about how the dogs had done and a video of them at the beach. They were wet and tired at the end of the day. That was the only time they went into the water - all other days they stayed on leash while other dogs went into the water. The owner told us that young adult dog training was starting one weekend and that we could book to join it for around $250. We decided to go ahead and booked the young adult dogs training through their website. We got no response to our booking so asked staff about the training and never ever got a response. One day after returning home one dog took a pee on the stairs of our building. Either she hasn't been out for a toilet break or shewas very anxious. The last straw was seeing one of our dogs restrained with a harness at the front and one at the back on the beach walk. At home at the end of the day she was not herself and withdrawn and seemed upset. When we raised concerns we were met with defensiveness and escalating anger over email. The owner criticised our dogs lack of recall and over excitement. Our dogs do need some more training which is what we told them about and they assured us they would help with. It's also why we went to Noelles in the first place and it's why we booked the young adult training. Noelles provided no training, despite saying that they would, and didn't respond even we tried to book it. We paid for 5 daycare days for each dog and used four and have received no contact about getting money back.

Shannon responded to my email right away and we set up a private lesson in our home. The lesson was fantastic. She provided a lot of useful resources for us and showed us helpful training methods. She even spent longer than she had to with us. I was excited for the next lesson. Then my partner and I got busy with work. The Growl Classes are scheduled for Saturdays, so I emailed Shannon and asked what the consequences were if we weren't able to attend all the classes. She said that drop-ins aren't available for the Growl Class. However, it wasn't her, but someone named Jennifer, that was running the class. So she cc'd Jennifer in the email and said that she'll let her address my questions. So I waited. It's been over a month and I never got a response from Jennifer. I know I could have followed-up myself but I was disappointed by the lack of customer service. Who knows, maybe I misunderstood the email altogether and I was expected to email Jennifer directly instead of waiting for a response. Either way, I don't fault Shannon and I would recommend her to anyone looking for private training lessons. Unfortunately, I can't say anything about the classes.

Dogsmart was recommended by a friend who raved about their instructors. Tracey, Masumi & Alice all were calm, patient and helpful as we did Beginner Life Skills, Tricks & Games, Shy or Fearful Dog, Dog Out & About and Dog Care Basics. Annette - the friendly lady at the front desk also kept on top of providing multiple notifications for upcoming classes and was always there to help. Training isn't easy and the style might not be for everyone. You will be grilled about how you are working with your dog in all aspects. Words you say, actions you take, actions you didn't take. You will learn a different order of doing things, be asked about what you're doing at that moment but have to listen and visually focus on your dog all at the same time..! My advice: Be patient and practice the activities to the best of your ability! Ask follow-up questions in-class or privately via email and come prepared to talk about what your dog is doing week to week. Retail therapy: there's a shop with a selection of training toys, treats and supplies. It's an awesome spot for anyone looking for new treats to engage your dog at reasonable prices. My shy uncertain dog has grown to like this place and open his little heart. They assure me that they take breaks to give my dog a 'rest'. My dog's teeth look great when they're done and I will always chose this method over putting my dog under at the vet to get his teeth cleaning! When I took my pup last week for his cleaning, he left looking a bit dishevelled (normal for being confined in a towel for the service) and blinking one of his eyes constantly as if something irritated it during the service. This persisted throughout the day where he wouldn't open one eye or would squint and I knew there was something irritating it. I emailed Pampered Pets that evening and got a call from Tamra in the morning assuring me that she checked with Jen, who did the cleaning and there was nothing out of the ordinary that happened, but that maybe a towel rubbed against his eye or a piece of tarter inadvertently flew into his eye - no one was sure. Tamra was very empathetic for any discomfort my dog was experiencing and she passed this along to the owner, Rhonda who personally called and apologized for whatever happened and booked me into a vet for the following day. She fully offered to cover the expense of the vet visit to ensure my dog was ok! This was SO appreciated!! Her care and concern were genuine!! Fortunately my dog is just fine! The vet assured me there were no scratches to his eye and provided me with eye drops to help. Within a day his eye is already back to normal - thank goodness! I know anything could have happened by accident without intention; but the care and follow-up really did it for me - so thank you Tamra & Rhonda for your care and concern!

George is the most scrupulously honest, trustworthy and brilliant vet I have ever encountered. He…read moreis an unparalleled diagnostician, and will NEVER recommend a treatment nor test unless it is necessary. George genuinely cares about not only the health of your pet, but when you are faced with the conflicting emotions when your beloved pet is facing the inevitable, his honesty allows you to ensure your pet does not need to suffer needless tests or procedures to prolong their life, should that cause them undue pain. My Soft coated Wheaton Terrier, Riccochet, had undergone TWO surgeries for breast cancer prior to meeting George, and the FORMER vet decreed ~ when she developed a similar lump in the remaining tissue ~ that the cancer had returned..and recommended chemotherapy. At this point, I sought a second opinion, and I am so grateful I chose George. Within SECONDS he CORRECTLY diagnosed this lump as a cyst and thereafter informed me that she was in EXCRUCIATING weight bearing pain from a pre-existing condition the OTHER vet had MISSED. He gently applied pressure to her spine and her legs crumpled beneath her, as she let out a small whimper of pain. George also told me her eyesight was failing, as was her hearing & her heart was slightly enlarged, to which I said, "Are you telling me she is falling apart?" He said, NOT UNKINDLY, "She is in TERRIFIC shape for a dog who SHOULD HAVE DIED three years ago." Shay was then 13, and George said SCWT's typically last but a decade. Under George's care, she lived a vibrant, active playful and JOYOUS additional FIVE YEARS...her QUALITY of life GREATLY enhanced by THE ACCURATE DIAGNOSIS, and his prescription of the meds for her back pain. ADDITIONAL: all her medical records (including the biopsy supposedly confirming that her tissue was cancerous [ a paper the former vet read in front of me [but i did not see]) coincidentally "DISAPPEARED". My poor beloved sweet pupper went through two EXCRUCIATING surgeries made more expensive as Wheatens require sighthound safe anesthetic (to a cost of well over $3,000.00) which were absolutely UNNECCESSARY. She also suffered the UNDIAGNOSED BACK PAIN prior to our finding George. The money was not truly within our means, but I used my savings as I had been told she would return to a life of quality. MORE THAN THE MONEY, the physical PAIN I caused her by trusting a grossly unethical vet was far more vexing. It was unthinkable to me that a vet would LIE about such an issue and perform UNNECCESSARY surgery on my sweet doggo...but this is the absolute truth. I ADORE GEORGE because of his kindness and ethical conduct, his BRILLIANCE and his genuine empathy for all those who can not speak for themselves.

Dr. Robertson is a great vet...his bedside manner is up front. He just tells you straight what is going on without all the pretending to think your dog is the greatest ever, even though they all are ;) I also really like the fact that I'm not made to feel like a crappy dog owner if I don't want to go the most expensive course of treatment. I'm never sold anything I don't need or ask for, the prices are extremely reasonable, and the most important part is that I trust my senior with them. My dog has a recurring ear infection, and when I came back after a week of treatment to make sure I was doing his cleaning properly, they treated me with respect and my dog with dignity and I didn't feel bad for asking for help. Again, I want to stress that I have had nothing but positive experience with Dr. Robertson and his staff, and I would always recommend them :)
