I unequivocally recommend this neighborhood gym. No…read morecorporate chain bs. Clean. Never insanely chaotic. No frills, but not crusty or falling apart either. All the usual equipment you could want for cardio and weight training. Fair pricing. Adequate lot and street parking. Full transparency in every transaction. Appreciative of your business and loyalty. Diverse and inclusive. Superior customer service by the owner who personally attends to messages and on site questions you may have. My pipeline dream might be for some precor cardio equipment some day, but I come from a legacy of overpriced big city gyms and wouldn't trade this one (as-is ) for any others.

The equipment is the best, well- maintained, modern and incredibly reliable. Cleanliness stands out as a constant priority. You will always see Maria daily keeping the gym up to par. Even during peak times. What truly makes the gym special are the people I have met. The staff are all very friendly. Kevin is always polite and greets everyone by 1st name on a daily basis. Zac is beyond knowledgeable and always ready to help with form tips or equipment proper use and has become part of my family. Brian the owner has always been super helpful and friendly to me. Jen- Brian's wife is the sweetest and inspires other women by her incredible physique! The members are welcoming and supportive and I'm lucky to say I have met some really cool people here that have become great friends. All I can say is try it out and see for yourself.

I was warned of the negatives such as the potential packed parking, being next to a metro station, and signs telling people not to blow their nose in pool areas (didn't think people are doing that!). Glad going in it seems very nice! The staff are around and with the signs, they are showing they are aware and telling people to follow rules. Machines may be broken, some don't turn on or have broken handles. Plenty of weights and other equipment, I see a large group playing basketball a lot, a dance room with groups, and classes. In certain days it'll be packed so machines might not be accessible. Restrooms are clean, I haven't been into a dirty stall and they have stations for people to use paper towels and spray bottles to clean machines before and after usage. I think it's a great gym, granted I don't come everyday to experience perhaps the warnings, still good! Will keep coming here

Most employees do not acknowledge or greet you when you walk in. I believe there are transients who come here to work out and shower. The locker room is disgusting, smells bad, and has no AC circulation. The lockers are falling apart on the inside, with chipped and exposed particle board. The toilets and urinals are disgusting, as you can see in the photos from other reviews. Most of the treadmills are not working, and the gym area is small. The basketball area is probably larger than the actual gym area. I'm surprised this gym is in such poor condition, especially considering the area it is located in.

Lagreeology is a great introduction to Lagree! I'm familiar with Pilates classes, but I had never…read moretried Lagree before, so I came in not really knowing what to expect. Our instructor was Adam, and his class was challenging, fun, and very beginner-friendly. It was a full class with a few first-timers, but I had no trouble following his cues and demonstrations. He explained everything clearly and made the class easy to follow even for someone completely new to Lagree. Everyone was struggling together, haha! They have classes throughout the day. So finding a class time that works for you won't be an issue. After this class, I went around and tried several other Lagree studios in the area, and I have to say, Lagreeology ended up being the most fun experience for me. I really enjoyed the class and would definitely come back! This part of Arcadia isn't very busy, so parking was easy to find, I did street parking at the front. Check their website for promos.

I was in the area looking for a pilates studio and Lagreeology came up on my search.. They have a…read moreNew Client BOGO Special - 2 classes for $38, but on the day of my visit there was a better Back 2 School Lagree Special - 2 classes for $36. I was able to book on the MindBody app. On the confirmation email, they ask that you arrive 15 min early for your first class, grip socks required, towel and water recommended There is street parking in the area or an underground parking garage, in which I liked neither options. The parking garage entrance looked deep so I parked on the street, but I didn't feel safe. It was a busy street and people parked poorly. The studio entrance is not the front door, the sign asks you to go from the side door. There was a hostess our front while an instructor taught the class. She gave me a tour of the their other services... but they had cyro on their menu and they no longer do cryo at this location. How hard is it to cross off the menu? The cubbies are inside the studio space. There are 14 lagree reformer beds. And of all days I went, it had to be when their AC was broken. Sigh... Unfortunately it was quick into my time here that I knew I wasn't coming back. The instructor started off asking if anyone minds if she touches them, raise their hand. I don' mind adjustments. Then she asks if anyone has injuries... I RAISED MY HAND AND SHE JUST MOVES ON... at that point WHY EVEN ASK?!?!?! This was a foreshadow of a really annoying class. So on this lagree pilates reformer bed, they have numbers, which at first I felt like a good thing... until I experienced it. The instructor was really adamant that we put our hand or feet on specific numbers... here is the issue... everyone's limbs have different lengths and what's good for one person might not be good for another. I also don't like the way she gave direction. For instance she'll be like spring change... so the natural instinct is to change the springs... but she'll be like... in 5...4...3...2...1... In any other studios they usually tell you... I'm BLANK seconds we will do XYZ, but when you give the direction first people will instinctively transition to the next move. So it was a rigorous work out... but I just didn't enjoy it. I wanted to like it so badly... especially when I had already paid for 2 classes. Basically I don't like it so much I don't want to go back for the 2nd class I already paid for. Potentially good work out but not for me. Pilates normally relaxes me but I was so stressed out with the parking and the instructor.

I've tried so many of the instructors, and everyone has their own vibe. Some are harder than others. It's really cool to figure out your favorites, and switch things up when needed etc. Unlike many other Lagree Studios, when you walk in, you enter a lobby first..Not just boom there's the machines and a cubbyhole for your things. There's a full lobby with seating and a separate room to place your items. The machines are further in the back in another room, which disconnects you from the entry door and windows. So when you're in session, you're not distracted by cars driving by or anything like that. I also really like the ambience. I prefer dark over squeaky bright studios. When it's time for class, the music is blaring and you lock tf in. The instructors are good at correcting your form when needed, and you can tell that the studio has a great deal of respect for Lagree. I've heard people complain about the parking, and I totally get it. But typically if you arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your class, parking shouldn't be an issue. Ive only ever had an issue when I'm running a little late. You can have private events here too which is nice. I celebrated my birthday and it was cute and something different to do with my friends.

Everything I found in my research was true: Formation is the most technical, structured, and form‑focused studio around. The instructors pay close attention to your form and give real corrections so you get the most out of every movement. They're not the type of studio that hands you matcha for showing up, but they do run challenges and reward you for hitting milestones, which feels much more meaningful. The space isn't bougie; it's clean, functional, and designed for training, not selfies. It creates an environment where utility comes first, and you never feel intimidated walking in.

Jordan was patient and understanding of where I was starting, while still knowing when to push me past my limits. What I appreciated most about Jordan is that he works with what you need rather than giving everyone the same type of workout. He's open to all kinds of training and keeps things challenging and different. Whether it was strength, conditioning, or trying something new, he always found a way to help me get the job done.
