I have been coming here for a year with the best trainer Emma!! I became a mom of two a couple years ago and was seriously out of shape. I really wanted more energy to be there for my kids and to just feel better about myself. The second pregnancy did a number on my body and I was looking for someone who could help me restore my body and help me get strong. Enter Emma! She is patient and caring and I have never felt better. She is encouraging without being overly pushy and she understands your limitations. I turned 71 last year and decided to make an investment in my future health. I've had some low back pain for 10 years and had never gone to a gym or worked out with a trainer. I found the perfect gym to begin working out with a personal trainer Brian. The goal was to increase my core muscles, maintain flexibility and protect my back from future injury. Brian has been great to work with, always observing and correcting my form. I feel stronger over the past year and my back feels better. When I'm there for my twice weekly workouts, there are usually a handful of trainers working with their clients. All the trainers work together in sharing the space and equipment. Foothill Physique studio is a nice gym with an open concept. It's awesome that the equestrian trainers train there with the owner. This review isn't for the studio nor the owner. This review is for the trainer I went to named Brian. I signed up with Brian he was very patient and nice. That's what made me want to sign up. But a few things rubbed me the wrong way after sessions progressed. Some of his remarks to the other trainers were unprofessional. Such as saying, "yeah I like when you workout in front of me and don't bend over in front of me." Followed by laughing. Maybe trying to look cool? While training me was weird. Yes, it was a "joke" but I'm over here paying for sessions that were expensive. It comes off as very unprofessional. My training ended with the sessions I purchased, 8 or 10 Later. and there was ZERO follow up on how I am, nor ever reached out to me regarding how I'm doing or if I wanted to sign up again. I've been coming to this gym for years and training with trainer Alex. He is a great and has been accommodating of my busy schedule and our early morning work outs. I have known Alex for years but did not begin to train with him until I moved to the SGV and it is a decision I do not regret. The gym itself has a lot of equipment and it is well maintained. The gym is clean and there is cleaning supplies in various places to wipe off any equipment that you use with your trainer. With the large variety of equipment I tend to do different workouts each time I come in, since there is a lot of equipment to choose from. There is also free parking. I always feel better about myself and how I spent my morning as I leave this gym. read more

I initially started working with Alex Zendejas because I was bored of my personal workouts and I was worried about my shoulder issues. I have dislocated both of my shoulders multiple times in sports injuries...and I lived with the fear that I would injure my shoulder(s) again accidentally. Wanted to give a shout-out to Helen here: I've been working with Helen for 5 weeks to get me back in shape after a year layoff from a torn achilles. I let Helen know what I was looking for: someone to push me, help put back on muscle mass, and especially shoring up my posterior muscles. She came up with an outline of how we'd accomplish this and pushed me to work out to my limits... like my old high school coaches used to do. I love my trainer Karla!!! She kills it with the exercises!! First of all, her Instagram page keeps me motivated throughout the week to KEEP IT MOVING! And she's so caring and patient with all of her clients! She has helped me with starting a new fitness plan customized for me, which is seriously the best plan I've ever had. Generic plans don't work for everyone, so a trainer that is willing to sit down and talk to you and teach and guide is seriously gold. Her Instagram page (k_d fitness) also informs when there are specials at her gym! So when she posted about a special for their boot camp, (18 session for 200!) of course I jumped on that. It's 3 times a week for 6 weeks and there are different time slots.. what an amazing deal and SO CONVENIENT!!! I went to the gym and the first thing I HAVE to mention is: 1) they have a tray of hairbands!!!! Where else can u find THAT?!! I think I fell in love right there and then! Lol that is sooo genius at a gym and it's the ONLY gym that I've ever seen it at!! More things I loved: 2) Parking is so convenient- tons of street parking and a whole big lot in the back and all free!!! Unlike other gyms. 3) CLEAN and organized on an OCD level.. and I loveee ittttt.. and I loveee it. 4) It's even decorated.. 5) everything is NEW 6) they provide lockers AND the keys 7) actual filtered water dispensers with hot and cold water.. what?!!! Every single gym I've been to only has water fountains. 8) BIG open space with mirrors everywhere but didn't have anyone taking pics the whole time lol so refreshing 9) they give you your own cute little orange towel! I just loved this place, I'm so thankful for Karla for welcoming us all! So at the first session of the boot camp package, they took our pictures, weight, and measurements in a private room. They were so encouraging about everything and kept assuring us that our goals are possible and they are happy and equipped to help! There is a set plan on each night and the trainers explain it so nicely. Then they come and correct each person's form and give specialized attention to each one of us. I LOVE GROUP CLASSES!! Because you're getting personal training which should cost over $150 a session (and be well worth it) 75% off! I def suggest starting with some personal training sessions to learn the proper way of doing every step. I was trained for over a year and that taught me that if you exercise the right way, with the proper form, the exercises are actually easy and don't hurt!! I recently moved to the east coast but whenever i am back in LA, I know I will have to stop in! they are an awesome gym that has everything you could want and for a smaller gym, they really make great use of the space. it's private so you can only be in there if you are working out with a trainer, and they enforce wearing masks and distancing which has helped me feel comfortable working out during covid. This new gym is awesome! My 18 year old son has brain cancer and as a result has lost his sight. We were looking for a place that was inclusive and this is it. Tony the owner makes sure my son feels like just one of the guys. Our trainer Ryan has all the new equipment and space he could want to help my son get back to where he wants to be. Not only is this a good way to lose weight .... I was in a lot of pain, I was unable to move my neck, I called and Anita at Foothill Impact said she could help me.
