What shook my inner soul was the fact that he was able to instantly slide the zipper up my thick ankles and calf. No hesitation, no resistance, nothing! I stood up and was amazed at the comfort. Even in a boot one size smaller than I normally wear. I wanted to buy that size but he was very concerned about the toe room and informed me about how much toe room I should actually have. So he said he could order my size and because they were in stock at the distribution warehouse center that was close, I would have the boots in 3-4 days. And as promised he called me and I had the boots in 3 days. I was also given good information on when to buy future shoes for different seasons. So that information was beyond helpful. It was good to hear when the good stock would be available. I had such a good visit and experience, I wanted to write my review quickly after my visit but decided I would wait until I picked up my shoes. I wanted to see if I would have the same experience and I did. In fact, the same gentleman was helping another customer who was a first timer and he was just as friendly with her as he was with me. And he didn't even get the sale but he treated her very genuinely. Boots in hand and took them home and they fit even better than expected. I can't wait to go back for more shoes. We tried on about 4 types of shoes and decided on 2 of them. One was not in stock in the color we wanted so they ordered it from their Edmonds store and will call us when it comes in. The store is small but they have a lot of shoes in back. The shoes on display all have the prices listed on the soles but the actual shoes from the back and the boxes on sale didn't have prices listed on them so they had to tell us the prices. The shoes are very comfortable and high quality but you'll be spending a premium price for them. The ones we got were around $170 and $140 ( that one was on sale). The staff was so nice and helpful

I fully understand having new employees and am happy to allow some grace there. I appreciated the effort and them reaching out. If the employees at large adopt the customer service attitude of the individual who contacted me I think shopping with them will be a far more welcoming, efficient, and professional experience. I upgraded the review in part because of that, but also, in part because they do mobile fittings for studios who can't always get to the shops up in the city and I do hope they stay in business and are able to continue to provide this service to outlying areas, and, as I stated in my previous review, they have shoes on hand in most cases which is extremely valuable in dance and this area as a whole. I wish them well in continuing to improve and providing excellent service in the future.

RACIAL PROFILING: I had a really disappointing and uncomfortable experience at this Nike Outlet…read morelocation due to what felt like clear racial profiling. I came into the store with the intention of buying business-casual athletic wear and running shoes. I like to take my time when I shop, looking at styles, comparing items, and thinking about how I'll wear them with what I already own. I was also waiting nearby for my sister to get off work, so I wasn't in a rush. I had time and a budget. One specific employee: a short, bald Black man with facial hair repeatedly approached me, at least five times, asking in the same way different words insinuating, hurry up! "You STILL doing okay"? making the creepiest eye contact, despite me clearly browsing and not asking for assistance. The frequency and tone felt excessive and targeted. I was also texting my partner during this time, which I later showed to the manager to clarify that I was simply shopping, not doing anything inappropriate. After the repeated interruptions, I asked the employee to stop asking me, as it was becoming uncomfortable. Shortly after that, I looked up and realized that all of the items I had been collecting to purchase were gone. The same employee had removed only my items that I took an hour to decide on, while other unattended merchandise nearby was left untouched. This felt retaliatory and unprofessional. I want to be clear: I was not stealing, nor have I ever. I walked into the store with a $500 budget and ended up spending $488. No one should be rushed, followed, or made to feel suspicious while shopping, especially when they are clearly there to purchase. What made this even more uncomfortable was that the behavior seemed performative, as if the employee was trying to assert authority in front of other staff. Even other employees appeared visibly uncomfortable with how the situation was being handled. I do want to acknowledge the manager on duty, who handled the situation professionally. She sent the employee on break, helped me retrieve the same items, and personally checked me out. I appreciate her stepping in and making sure I could complete my purchase. Still, this experience shouldn't happen to anyone. As a gay, masculine-presenting woman, I left feeling targeted and disrespected in a space where I should have felt welcomed as a customer. I hope this location takes a serious look at staff training around customer engagement and bias, because no one deserves to feel profiled while shopping.
