We really appreciated that since I've heard stories of roofers leaving large messes! I am thrilled to say we haven't had a single issue or problem since day one. Working with Gilbert and the owner, David, was an absolute breeze. Beyond the quality of the work, what really stood out to us was their reliability and great communication, which is so hard to find with contractors nowadays. They kept us in the loop every step of the way and always followed through. This was easily one of the best contracting experiences we've ever had. I only wish they did other home projects because I would definitely hire them again in a heartbeat! Huge thanks to David, Gilbert, and the whole team at Top Tier Roofing.

Obviously I can't tell how durable their work is just yet, but the experience so far has been great. In particular I really appreciate their estimator Hank. Hank either clearly explained to me his plan, or patiently brainstormed solutions with me, which gave me lots of confidence in their work. During the construction, there were things here and there that were not documented in the contract, and I am very happy about his flexibility. From our first conversation to the finished roof, Joseph earned our trust and our highest recommendation. What impressed us most was his honesty, professionalism, and pride in his work. Joseph is a straightforward, trustworthy guy who does what he says he will do. He communicated clearly, responded promptly, showed up on time, and was consistently reliable. He's also simply a really nice person who is easy to talk to. When you're trusting someone with your home, those qualities matter just as much as technical skill. And his craftsmanship absolutely lived up to that trust. Our new roof looks beautiful, and the care he puts into his work is evident in the finished result. We felt we received excellent value, especially considering the quality of both the workmanship and the service. For our family, the greatest benefit is the peace of mind. Joseph helped make our home more fire-resistant, and we feel much more confident heading into the winter rainy season. We appreciate the beautiful roof every time we come home, but feeling safer under it means even more. I wholeheartedly recommend Joseph and Mastercraft Roofing to homeowners in Palo Alto, Los Altos, and Los Altos Hills. He brings together the skill, integrity, and reliability you hope to find in a contractor. We would hire him again without hesitation. Thank you, Joseph, for taking such good care of our home. You've earned these five stars!

Nobody is ever ready to drop a 5 figure dollar amount on a roof, so you'd better find someone you are absolutely comfortable with. After trying to learn as much as I could about roofing, there are three shingle companies that certify their installers : GAF, Certainteed and Owens-Corning. Knowing if you went with their certified installers, a 20+ year warranty would be applied to the workmanship and materials. I sought out a couple of these companies, and decided on trusting a local smaller company, with less salesmanship and less overhead. The world of roofing is huge, as I got bombarded with more than 10 companies reaching out for business. Many specialize in just roofing, others are general contractors that do siding and other constructions . I just wanted a company that's sole business is roofing. This company is Pro Roofing. I got quotes from a large company's salesman with a perfect portfolio and also quotes from a cheaper non -certified , but licensed roofer. Sam's quote was middle rung, and but provided high quality materials. Sam and his crew do wonderful work. Communication is key. They showed up on time, and kept all the appointments. They also took care of the roofing permit. We did a couple of walkthroughs during demo, wood repair, installation and the final inspection. What you need to remember is that after tear off of the old roof, the wood decking hidden underneath the old shingles may need to be replaced, which may incur additional charges that Sam's company charged a very reasonable price. Prepare yourself. Pro roofing has exceeded my expectations. I would NOT hesitate to recommend them to family and friends.

And 2) Shahar was so kind, informative, and honest during our consultation. He was through and kept us updated every step of the way. When our project finally started the crew were so respectful and kind! We found way more damage than we expected which resulted in our quote going up. However, due to Shahar being honest at the consultation we knew this was a possibility so it wasn't super shocking. The crew was great at cleaning up at the end of every day, which we appreciate as we have chickens, ducks, a puppy and cat as well as a child who are outside. When the project was done, there were a few concerns we had, we talk to Shahar and he quickly corrected and had the crew fix the items. But it's also a testament that after almost a year in, we've had no issues whatsoever. From the site survey to Final inspection by the City, Ryan and team was there every step of the way. I'm not going to attempt to repeat what's already been said in all the 5 star reviews (which are all correct, but also repetitive). I am offering an alternative view if skepticism remains. The ultimate reason why we chose Saber Roofing, over other quotes that were at or below his quote, was because of the negative reviews. Stay with me here. When you have a multi-decade longstanding business, it is statistically impossible to maintain 100% satisfaction. If you want to understand trustworthiness or how the inner workings of a company is run at a glance, one must look at how the unsatisfied customers were dealt and treated. In all recent cases, you will see each and every claim was handled with compassion and respect with an intent to understand the issue, correct and better themselves going forward. That, IMO, is the hallmark of a great business to deal with. After starting the job, they solidified that hypothesis as I observed the attitudes & dispositions of those working in the "trenches" (or roof in this case). Everyday that the team showed up, all carried great smiles with positive team banter and a general sense of happiness being on site. This only happens when employees are treated well and with respect. We have dealt with numerous home projects in the past and can tell you this is a rarity. Will Saber Roofing be the lowest bid in your search? Probably not. Will they provide you the best quality and service? You bet.

Among the details, the rain chain is made of copper while the gutter is made of aluminum. Having these two metals come in contact could compromise the aluminum over time. So, Saber installed the copper rain chain with a protective barrier. 3) Their client service and sales director, Jake, was super helpful and extremely responsive to all my questions. 4) The crew was very efficient, provided high quality workmanship, and left the site spotless. 5) The gutter guards that were installed provide a really fine barrier to prevent even small debris from entering my gutters, but are easy to rinse so that fine particles can be washed through the gutters. 6) The two downspouts that were installed were matched to the color of our trim. Other companies offer limited colors or simply white downspouts, but Saber offers a wide variety. 7) Their pricing is very competitive. From end to end, this was a great experience and I highly recommend Saber Roofing.
